Raditz has grown accustomed to Planet Hoof as the days passed. Still, only few Equestrians even dare speak to him. He often flies across oceans in search of other settlements, and finds those separated by the seas far more hostile to his presence as they hide in their homes away from him, and even upon returning to what has beem dubbed New Canterlot is no warm welcome either. Though the people do acknowledge him, none dare to approach him as they are always tense around him.

There is however one place he can call home.

"Radish! You're taking too long! I thought I taught you how to paint already!"

"Shut it you, old hag!"

Granny Smith has taken to Raditz, letting him stay and rest at her home on the New Apple Family Farm, even with his constant back talk. She rolls her eyes at him as he paints the barn.

"Don't you old hag me, Pineapple Head! You gotta go on your patrol soon anyhow! I want this done before that!"

Raditz scoffs as he purposefully slows himself down to spite her. She throws a rock against his head as he retorts without so much as flinching.

"Why not get your darling little baby boy to do it?"

Bright Mac huffs sweating as he does push-ups next to Raditz.

"B-Because I'm trying get stronger so you'll finally train me!"

"You're an Earth Pony. You should he strong already, brat."

Granny Smith makes her way over to slap both of their heads.

"Like I'd ever let you do that! Radish, go get the cart ready! Bright Mac go look over our inventory! We're going into town today."

Bright Mac nods as he rubs his head before running off. Raditz grumbles as he hands over the paint brush.

"You're gonna break your back pulling that cart around..."

"What was that? Was that concern from Mr. Grumpy Pants?"

Raditz sucks his teeth at her snide remark as he leaves. He returns carrying a large station wagon before putting it down just outside the farm. A Pegasus delivers mail to Granny Smith who smiles gratefully at the mailpony.

"You're a dear as always. You take care now!"

"Oh, actually I have something for him over there... B-But he scares me..."

Granny Smith takes the letter with a raised brow before looking to Raditz with a sneer, still speaking with the Pegasus.

"Him? He's nothing but a big ol' soft grump! Don't let that spikey looking mane fool you, he's a softy!~"

Raditz growls shouting at her.

"What was that, you hag!? I am not soft!"

Bright Mac walks up to him holding an apple sauce jar up.

"Radish, could you open this for me?"

Without breaking eye contact, Raditz takes the jar and opens with an irritated grunt, shoving it to the smaller boy who grins brightly.

"Thanks, Radish!"

"Shut up and go get the cart ready."

Granny Smith looks to the mailpony with a satisfied grin, garnering a laugh. As the two part ways, she makes her way over to her troublesome pair, holding up a letter.

"Lookie, lookie Radish! Cadance is calling you again!~ For as busy as she is, she sure makes a lot of time for you."

Raditz rolls his eyes snatching the letter from her.

"She's an annoying asset just like you! Now what have we here...?"

Raditz takes the letter and glances at it before tossing it away.

"Why bother me with this when I can talk to her? Woman! Undo my ring!"

"Can't. I'm not a Unicorn and the only way I could take it off is if I took your tail off."

He grows pale at that before levitating off the ground himself only to fall onto his feet. Granny Smith then grows a sly smirk.

"We do have a wagon we use to cart around our products..."

"Then we'll take the wagon!"

Raditz snaps at her expecting her to snap back. Instead, the Equestrian gives him a wink as she gestures for him to follow.

"I think that's a great idea!~ This way now!"

"I-I can't believe this humiliation...!"

Raditz snarls as he pulls a large wagon along with reigns wrapped around his shoulders. Atop the seat holding the reigns with a satisfied grin, Granny Smith proudly cheers as loud as she can as Raditz pulls her into town, Bright Mac setting up the store as the people gather around.

"Come one, come all, get your apple goods here!~"

Raditz unties himself from the wagon as he shouts back at Granny Smith.

"You have a lot of nerve treating your protector like this!"

"Oh hush and go see Cadance already! I'm sure she's waiting for you in the meeting hall or somewhere."

He scoffs and pushes his way through the crowd. As he wanders the city, he hears yet another annoying voice chirping after him, garnering a groan as Windy Whistles lands in front of him.

"I found you! Where have you been this whole time?"

Raditz leans back as she approaches him with her hands on her hips.

"Do I have to answer to the beck and call of every pony on this damnable planet?"

He spits to the side glaring at her yet she remains in his way.

"No... But it would be nice if we saw you more often! It's been a few days since the last patrol! You should check on us more often!"

"Did more buildings fall off the clouds?"

"Maybe some of us just want to see you! You've been working pretty hard on making this planet really something!"

His eyelids lowers as he gives her a skeptical look.

"Everyone I've met outside of this town here has ignored or shunned me."

"Can you blame them when you act like a jerk? A protective jerk!"

She shrugs without a sense of self-awareness.

"It'd be easier for us all if you just decided to open up a little more."

"It's my job. That's all there is to it. Now get out of my way."

He walks right past her, shoving her aside with his shoulder, yet she chases after him.

"Hey-! Okay fine! I'll cut to the chase! There's a few of us up above and down here on the ground that want to be as strong as you are!"

Raditz throws his head to the sky in howling laughter as he continues walking before quickly returning to his stoic curt tone.

"Hahaha!~ Funny."

Her feathers ruffle as she huffs out in frustration.

"I'm serious! What happens when you leave or if you're not here to help us when we get attacked again? We have to be prepared!"

Raditz stops then to look back at Windy Whistles. He eyes her for a moment as he thinks back to Bright Mac. Both of them at this point have look to get stronger through himself. He has become more than just a defender, he's an inspiration, and that feels oddly warming. With heavy reluctance, he rolls his eyes at her before moving on ahead.

"Follow me then..."

Windy Whistles blinks in surprise before flying right in front of him full of delight.

"Wh-!? You mean you'll do it?!"

He snarls and speeds right past her regretting his choice already.

"Shut up before I change my mind!"

"Can I bring some friends!?"

She hovers around him even as he starts to run away from her.

"Do what you want!"

Before long he finds Cadance's house. A rather humble house in comparison to the flourishing buildings surrounding her in this town. Not that he cares as he breaks the door down by walking right through it. Cadance shrieks as he stomps in.

"R-Raditz!? What is wrong with you?!"

Windy Whistles gives a nervous smile as she enters after him, leaning out from beside the Saiyan.

"H-Hi, Cadance!"

He shoves a finger in Cadance's face.

"You dare waste my time with some silly letter when you could just teleport to me!? What do you want?!"

Cadance glares at him with puffed cheeks flushed red but relents with a third party present.

"If you had just read it then you would know I found something while were bringing out the last of our things from underground... It's a statue of an Oozaru."

Raditz shrugs not really caring for such things as ancient artifacts.

"History isn't exactly something relevant to my mission. Why should I know about this?"

Cadance puts a hand on his shoulder and with a flash of her horn, the trio are teleported to an underground temple, where a statue of the Great Ape sits with large jewels for eyes. It's arms raised with clenched fists and maw opened with gust of cool wind blowing out from it.

"It's important for you to know because our local jeweler and archaeologist have identified these gems as Memorite! These are supposed to be exclusive to Equestria, minerals that store information through magic, so that future generations can study them! The thing is no one has been able to access them. In fact whenever we try..."

She gestures to its gaping muzzle.

"The wind from the mouth would blow us away and out of the tunnels. Let me remind you that we're several kilometers deep-"

Raditz groans with a facepalm.

"Meters, miles, you Equestrians need to pick one already so I can stick to one myself!"

Cadance blushes slightly from embarrassment herself having used both measurements. Windy Whistles gasps as she eyes the statue itself.

"Whoa! That thing is huge! Hey, Raditz, you can turn into one of those! Right?"

He approaches the statue with a keen eye as the gems allure him with an uncanny sense of déjà vu.

"I can but won't. I lose sense of self when I do and I'd end up destroying the planet, plus this statue is way smaller than the real deal... You expect me to find out what's inside those stupid rocks?"

Cadance nods and allows him a bit of leeway with the Oozaru Ring relaxing on his tail.

"I figured that if they won't reveal themselves to an Equestrian, and since they're lodged into the form of a Saiyan in their true form, only a Saiyan is meant to use it... At least, that is the current theory."

Raditz floats up with a hand on the Memorite. His head slowly tilts as he hears subtle whispers in his head.

"I can't use magic. How am I supposed to get the information ou-o-out...?!"

Raditz's vision becomes blurry as his body grows numb, he leans forward before falling away into an unending void within the jewel itself, he can see himself from the outside as he sinks ever deeper into the vast unknown.

When he wakes up, he stands in a strange realm of darkness, able to see himself just fine yet nothing else. He turns around looking high and low only to find himself in solitude.

"You shouldn't rely on your eyes like that, boy."

Raditz snaps to where he thought he heard the condescending voice.

"What was that!? Show yourself at once so I can teach you a thing or two!"

"Actually... I'll be the one doing the teaching today."

Raditz feels a hand on his shoulder and turns with a punch, his fist caught in the hand of another Saiyan, in the hand of Bardock.

"Feisty, aren't you? Glad to see that's still a trait of our people."

"F-Father...?!"

Raditz stumbles back but the Saiyan looks at him confused.

"I probably just look like him. It would make sense though. I'm your ancestor, or rather, an ancestor of the Saiyan Race. I look like your Father because your bloodline must go way back. Lucky you."

The Ancestor resembles Bardock uncannily, but so too did Turles and even his younger brother Kakarot, it was a common thing among the lower class to look alike. However, his attire is certainly from another time period altogether, ragged robes under ancient armor bearing a crest unfamiliar to him.

"Y-You... You mean you're a Saiyan trapped inside a rock?!"

Raditz could hardly believe it and at first relief comes to him as the Ancestor shakes his head.

"No, no, I'm not inside the rock as you may think. In fact I am actually the memories of millions of our kind, an echo made up of several Saiyans, acting as a collection of knowledge left behind to teach any and all future generations the secrets to our true potential. Think of me as a living library and teacher at the same time."

"That is all the more confusing, old man."

Raditz deadpans at the Ancestor who only rubs his neck at his predecessor.

"Yeah, yeah, it's easier to just not think about that detail. Instead, think about the wisdom and power I'm about to share with you."

The Ancestor snaps his fingers and the dark realm comes to life. Raditz is in the middle of a war zone in primitive times. Saiyans clothed only in animal skins fight against an army of advanced technology, piloting giant robots with powerful weaponry.

"This is before my time. The enemy figured out that if they destroyed their moon, we wouldn't be able to use the Oozaru to our benefit, and aimed to make us extinct. At the time, we had to travel planet to planet by holding our breaths for decades at a time, so we only moved around every few centuries. There wasn't an escape for us since we couldn't prepare ourselves either."

Raditz watches confused and even slightly perturbed to see the ancient Saiyans made into a mockery by oversized metal toys. That is until one Saiyan stands out from the rest.

"But we weren't unprepared for a situation like this. One of us had been training in secret, studying ourselves and trying to find a way to use our inner power without the moon, and on this day... He made progress."

The Ancient Saiyan roars with unfathomable might. An army of metallic titans of planetary devastation turn to scrap metal from the sheer power of one Saiyans voice. From there, the helpless pilots were made into meals by the savage Saiyans as their new ruler proudly proclaimed himself king over the planet.

"The true power of that roar isn't even in its destructive capability. In truth, Saiyans are also capable of magic just like the Equestrians and this is the first spell..."

The Ancestor's chest puffs up and starts to bulge in a moment before he lets out an ear shattering cry. Raditz stumbles back before finding himself paralyzed. He tries to move with all his might yet despite his great power, all he can do is tremble. His father's look-alike smirks at him.

"By using your own willpower and pushing your body to the limit, you can force your opponent to stay still."

Raditz eventually shakes himself out of the paralyzing effect as he forces his own power to erupt.

"Quit spouting such nonsense! Saiyans with magic? How absurd!?"

"But turning into giant monsters under a full moon is entirely scientific? Get over yourself. Of course we aren't spellcasters, and the energy we use isn't inherently magic, but we can and do use magic in our own unique way. Our bodies have a unique reaction to it and its why we can fight Equestrians as well as we do unlike every other race in the universe. Are you going to tell me this power I've shown you wouldn't help you?"

Raditz snarls but he can't find it in himself to deny it earnestly. He grunts folding his arms in defiance.

"Even if I wanted to learn this, why should I? I'm already stronger than any Saiyan in recorded history!"

"Really? So you know about Yamoshi?"

Raditz blinks with a vacant expression.

"Who?"

The ancient Saiyan huffs at the expected answer.

"Didn't think so. What about Chilled, an ancestor of King Cold and victim of one of the Super Saiyans in the past? The reason why said king kept our kind at a distance from his own empire before Frieza blew up Planet Vegeta."

"W-Who?! Wait! How did you know about that?!"

The Ancestor taps his head snickering.

"I can read your mind while you're in here. I already know everything you know, Raditz."

The younger Saiyan steps back completely floored by the Ancestor's seemingly endless knowledge, at least in this realm, but the ancient one scoffs at his descendant.

"If you don't want what I have to offer then get lost! I may just be a copy but even I don't like my time being wasted!"

The Ancestor points behind the younger Saiyan to a door.

"Take that and leave here learning nothing or stay here to inherit the power of our people. Simple choice, boy."

Raditz stomps over to the door with an aggravated grumble, but each step slows as he reaches for the doorknob, thoughts come to him about his purpose on this very planet. Not to mention that learning his history, lost history as most of what he learned was the bare minimum for the average Saiyan to just survive, may help him grow stronger. He growls shaking his head before turning around.

"Hey! What's the limit to this power!? What couldn't I use this on?"

The Ancestor sneers as the door vanishes completely.

"Listen up! There is one weakness to this power and that is the concentration to manipulate your energy properly! That is putting your power into your lungs and throat! If you mess it up you could outright kill yourself. That's the constant risk of using this power. However, with such a great risk I can confidently say, there isn't a single being in the entire universe that can resist the Roar of the Oozaru."

Raditz nods a few times despite the internal doubt he holds within. He has to gain as many if any advantages over Cooler.

"Fine, old man. Teach me how to do this, and to do it right! If I end up dying because of your stupid lessons then I'll drag you to Hell with me!"

"Time doesn't even pass where we are. By the time you wake up, you'll be right back where you are! Now-"

Raditz is blown back as he feels all the air in his lungs leave him before he hits the ground. He rolls around wheezing for air as the Ancestor stands over him.

"Don't try to breathe in small gasps. Take deep breaths now. At least three."

For what feels like hours, days even, The Ancestor forces Raditz through harrowing breathing exercises. From holding his breath to prolonged times, to adjusting him to fight while short on air, even going as far as simulating a vast ocean to push the Saiyan to the absolute limit. Soon Raditz lost track of time entirely as focused only on surviving this inhumane ordeal.

He hated every second of these trials, and yet the results could not be denied as he found himself able to go minutes without breathing. Then, tens of minutes, an hour, and eventually the Ancestor graduated him upon holding his breath for an entire day.

"That's it! I think you're finally ready for next step."

Raditz lays on the sandy shore on his back panting heavily.

"F-Finally... It only took a whole decade...!"

"Actually it took about a year in here. Like I said, time doesn't pass outside, so sit up and shut up. We're moving on to the exhale exercises."

Raditz jumps to his feet with veins bulging from his head as he fumes.

"WHAT!? WE'RE NOT EVEN AT THE SPELL ITSELF YET?!"

The Ancestor raises his hands in a mockingly defensive gesture maintaining a smug calmness.

"Easy, now, you're halfway there. The first thing you needed was to strengthen your lungs. Next we need to strengthen those vocal chords of yours. You like shouting at me a lot so you already have a head start!"

"Grrrggh...! YOU SON OF A-"

Another year of grueling and even embarrassing exercises. Hours spent singing awful songs of the past, days shouting for prolonged times, and only moments of reprieve between it all for the Ancestor to heal him when needed. Raditz soon grown accustomed to the presence of this ancient Saiyan and soon asks him questions.

Questions about their culture, their true history, learning about several worlds lost to time. He would learn of the Saiyan's rise from tribes to a primitive yet expansive empire.

"You see, we used to be so plentiful, we could move planets on our own if we harnessed enough energy together to fire out like a rocket. Then we would jump and conquer another one before we eventually were just a pack of planets all flying around the galaxy together."

"That's impossible! What about air or the travel speed?! How did you guys even do such a thing?"

The Ancestor shrugs as he points to the air, a planetary cluster of celestial bodies all flying together as bright energy beams fired by hundreds of thousands of Saiyans.

"I told you, we literally pushed the planets around to travel the galaxy. As for all that air stuff? ... I got no clue. None of the shared memories with our ancestors really answer that."

Raditz couldn't help but glare at his progenitor with a deadpan face, yet still he feels a strange sense of pride seeing this for himself, an oddly satisfying sight to see pure might finding a way in spite of the odds.

"What happened? How come we aren't the rulers of the universe then?"

"Well, we ended up in a fight we couldn't win, and became a race of only a handful. I'll tell you about it later. Get back to training."

On another 'day' Raditz asks about the Cold Family. The Ancestor gives him a surprising answer.

"I never really knew of them actually. In fact... I'm pretty sure you know more than I do. I do know that they're scared of the Majin."

"Majin? What like Equestrians?"

The ancient Saiyan shakes his head.

"No, Equestrians use magic, but Majin are magic. They come in all kinds of crazy shapes and sizes with unspeakable powers. In fact it's the Majin that stopped our planetary crusade in the earliest days of the universe's history."

"H-Huh?! How could that be!?"

"I'll tell you when you can do the roar."

"N-Ngh! Rrgh...!"

Another 'year' passes by. Time and time again, Raditz would train not just his lungs and throat, but his entire body. Eventually came the day when he was permitted to attempt the technique.

Only for him to fall to the ground as he vomits out blood.

The Ancestor rolls his wrist and Raditz is back on his feet with the pain vanishing.

"See? I told you that would happen. You destroyed your lungs because you suck at manipulating your energy."

"Shut up! That was my first try!"

"Then do it again. Remember, you're supposed to let the energy flow happen, not stop it all once it reaches your chest. That's why you suffered a grave injury."

With a begrudging snarl, Raditz tries again as he follows the instructions, adapting from all the training he has been put through. He releases a burst of wild energy but it is cut short as his throat wheezes out a weak raspy squeal. The Ancestor heals him again shaking his head.

"You got the idea but you're forgetting the key component. Emotion. Get angry-"

"I AM ANGRY!"

"Then Get Angrier! Furious! Like you're about to blow up and take this entire realm with you!"

Raditz stews and fumes as his face gets red. He shoves a finger in the face of his progenitor as he forces the ancient Saiyan back step by step.

"You ghostly scarred wily piece of crap! I've had enough of you! You say you know everything about Saiyans but then you tell me, I don't know this or you already know that, well that just means you're full of hot stupid air!"

The air begins to ripple as his voice reverberate his words. The ground shakes as Raditz's emotional breathing makes his chest gradually grow in size.

"All my life I've been taking orders, from people above me to people far weaker, and now from the dead as well! No More!"

Raditz's entire body swell as his eyes flash a bright yellow light. He tenses up yet continues with his ranting.

"I! Am done taking orders! I! Am done with your bullshit lessons! I! Am done being mocked, humiliated, and made a fool of! You want me to get angry well guess what you piece of shit!"

Raditz takes in a deep breath out of spite, his body holds in spite of the pain of it tearing apart which only further drives his hatred, hatred towards all who have participated in the suffering that is his entire existence. He release it all in a wrathful long wail, a destructive roar that blows the Ancestor away, not just sending him flying but causing the ghostly form to dissipate into an ethereal cloud.

"I WILL NOT BE HUMILIATED ANYMORE!"

He continues his destructive tantrum as he screams for what feels like hours. The entire realm trembles under his feet and in the air as Raditz releases every curse, all the built up stress, from his suffering under Frieza and Vegeta to the menial yet annoying duty of protecting the Equestrians.

When done, he falls to his hands and knees panting to desperately catch his breath. He looks up to see the Ancestor giving him an applause.

"You did it... You did and held it longer than any other Saiyan throughout all history! You've taken the first step to the Ultimate Saiyan Warrior."

"Is-Isn't... Isn't that the Super Saiyan?"

He nods his head and gestures around them as the realm begins to change.

"It is, but let me give you one last lesson, one in humility, and one on history. The story should give you answers to a few of your questions. A while ago, you asked what happened to the sheer military might of the Early Saiyan Empire..."

The area changes to the vastness of space, the two float at the center of the planetary cluster, the Saiyan Armada, flying through the cosmos by the power of a seemingly endless number of Saiyans at the ends of each planet.

"We discovered how to communicate through each other on different worlds and conquer them, were plentiful enough to fly planets back to our newest home world with new resources and slaves, and grew powerful enough to travel together. Through some worlds with advanced technology, we developed new means of furthering our influence. Only the Saiyans had the power to do what we did and few in the universe dared to even try to stop us... Until we were met with them. The Majins."

Raditz covers his eyes as blinding light flashes ahead of him. The Ancestor continues as the young Saiyan rubs his eyes grumbling.

"Couldn't have warned me about the lights!?"

"These creatures were the most powerful of their kind. Hirudegarn, Janemba, Discord, and Buu were the names of the ones that nearly wiped us out. Hirudegarn was big as a moon, Janemba wielded a blade that cut the fabric of reality itself, Discord could very well manipulate reality as if it were knitting for him, and then there was Buu... Who was the most powerful Majin of them all. It was a massacre that, even compared to the constant genocides you and I have seen and been apart of, were nothing in comparison to the horrors Buu alone wrought."

A gargantuan winged beast that easily dwarfs the largest of monoliths, its head a ghoulish skull with beetle wings and tail similar to a scorpion. It tore away at Great Apes like they were paper, erasing entire armies of Oozaru with a fiery breath, as they were but the size of children in comparison. Hirudegarn, the Terrible Phantasm.

A demon with long horns with red skin and purple carapace, almost too similar to Frieza or Cooler for Raditz's liking, would punch the open air only for his fist to appear elsewhere killing his victims in one blow. He held a sword in hand that cut anything open everything in its path, even orbiting moons and cities on neighboring planets which were but a few light-years away. Janemba, the Devilish Swordsman.

A terrible amalgamation of creatures danced in the space between the planet cluster. The long body of a dragon, the feet of bird talons, animal paws and hooves, with the head of an old goat with two distinct horns. This foul beast merely gestures and snaps his pawed fingers together causing nonsensical happenings. Hair turning into snakes, the atmosphere of an entire planet changing into milk, Saiyans turning on each other with wicked forced grins moving as puppets on strings. Discord the Living Paradox

Then Raditz sees him. Majin Buu, this small pink child-like creature with holes in his head and arms, baggy pants and an large antenna that droops at the back of the head like a nightcap. The most simplest of them, the most infantile of the destructive demons, proves to be the most frightening of all. Buu would fly through planet cores casually and watch it slowly erode before combusting, or if he were feeling impatient just detonate himself from within the cores, regenerating at such a fast pace that Raditz simply believed Buu wasn't harmed in the explosion.

When he wanted to have fun, he flew down onto the planet surface to wipe out entire continents with ease, evaporating oceans or cause mountainous tsunamis with the least amount of effort. Making hurricanes with his flight speed or causing earthquakes by the sheer might of his shriek. His strength outright surpassed Hirudegarn's.

He could stretch his limbs to unfathomable distances at seemingly instantaneous speeds, fire a barrage of energy blasts to carpet bomb entire cities dotted across the lands and oceans of the surrounding planet cluster. At times, he would allow armies to surround them, and he would show his remarkable durability as all attacks bounced off of his rubbery hide. Then he would show these poor Saiyans in a show of wild, feral grace, the acrobatics of a true monster. Dodging and manipulating many to attack each other as his movements lead them along. His guile and skill were as sharp as Janemba's swordsmanship.

Then there was the namesake of Majin. His magic broke any natural cosmological law the universe had set. His antenna would flash and turn Saiyans into sweets for him to eat. Eyeballs to gumballs, arms into licorice, entire bodies into chocolate or cookies. Vehicles into pie, buildings into towers of ice cream, and oceans into soda. He would turn his victims into other forms of matter, molding these poor Saiyans into a stone house for him to sleep in, or their pets into mechanical toys to terrorize their own masters. Even Discord's reality warping magic paled in comparison as they treated the lives of once fearsome warriors into literal toys.

Raditz watches in stomach wrenching dread as an armada of Saiyans that easily outnumber the entire split force of the Cold Frieza and Cooler Empire be reduced to... Playthings.

"This is insane...! H-How...? How did we survive?"

The Ancestor brings his attention to Hirudegarn.

"We had help and we got our act together. I'm sure you're familiar with the legend of the Super Saiyan."

A brilliant light flares up from Hirudegarn as he falls on his back. A golden humanoid figure forces Hirudegarn to flee before being attacked from behind by Janemba.

"The Legendary Super Saiyan, a warrior of ineffable strength and endlessly rising energy, is still a mortal at the end of the day. Alone, even he wouldn't be a match to the Majins combined. But just as all seemed lost..."

The demonic swordsman's blade is met with the radiant horn of a mighty angel that appears behind the golden figure. Raditz eyes widen as he watches this.

"A-An Alicorn!?"

"As fate would have it, the myth began on this day, although this isn't the first instance of a Super Saiyan. This is however the first instance of Saiyans and Equestrians meeting."

The Ancestor brings the two closer. A Saiyan glowing gold with pure white eyes and a fierce snarl. Gigantic in comparison to the Alicorn and fellow Saiyans alike, bulbous muscles swelling with unyielding power as his energy continues to rise without end, he twitches and jerks as if restraining himself at every second possible. His body releases a furious flaming aura that practically burns all things near him to cinders.

The Alicorn herself has a mane in constant flow, dazzling starlight with a radiant array of ever flowing colors, as if her mane were made of light rather than hair. Gorgeous wings of crimson with beauty incomparable to anything Raditz has seen in his life. Despite that her body proudly displays her strength with physique so defined it were as if she were sculpted by a god. Even her demeanor, the stoic calm with saddened eyes laden with pure kindness and love, open still hands in contrast to the tense Saiyan's tightened fist.

These two were as night and day, yet upon a single glance to each other, they nodded in a silent alliance. He turns to the Majin and releases a deafening roar that sends Janemba back while the Alicorn casts a powerful spell that seemingly shatters Janemba's being. He puts himself together in an instant, yet the cracks remain across his body, glowing bright as he flies towards the heavenly duo with a thrust of his sword.

Sparks fly as the sword was repelled by the horn time and time again, with the Saiyan landing devastating blows in between, the two battle Janemba overwhelming him before the Alicorn and the Saiyan blast Janemba away with a combined beam. All that remains is a strange essence that is captured in a small cooler the Alicorn summons from her hand before dispelling.

The Ancestor grins seeing Raditz's awed jaw drop low at the sight of such an otherworldly battle.

"The Equestrians came to stop us in our conquest, but when they saw us as the victims of the Majins, they came to our aid rather than letting us be exterminated. It turns out they were victims of them as well, desperate to find anyone else they could ally with in the universe to combat them. No one could step up, those that wanted to were too weak, while the rest simply ignored their pleas. They nearly gave up until they came here."

"As allies instead of enemies..."

He points to the side at an armada fleet of primitive yet effective space vessels flying near. Protected by the combined efforts of hundreds of Unicorns and Pegasai that project a massive shield around the fleet.

"They arrived ready to fight after hearing about our reputation, ironically they found the very thing they were looking for while we got the exact kind of help we needed, strange huh?"

The Ancestor brings his descendant's attention back to the fight at hand.

"The Alicorn saw the Super Saiyan and took a gamble on him. She would gladly sacrifice her life for the entirety of her race, and after seeing a single being force Hirudegarn back, decided that this was the best option for now. As you can see, she used her magic to effectively evacuate the survivors away from the battle. Think what you will about them being weak, but know that without this action, we'd most likely be extinct."

Hirudegarn roars at them, expelling an enormous wave of flames, his arms swinging in the air to fan them to burn even fiercer. The Alicorn brought two fingers to her glowing horn as she used her magic to gather every remaining Saiyan except one. The Legendary Super Saiyan bellows out a sonorous shout that makes a tunnel through the flames! He flies through that tunnel and then burrows past the intense flames, drilling right into the gaping maw of the beast, though he would turn into a ghostly miasma. An evasive spell Hirudegarn rarely used save for traveling far distances.

The Legendary Super Saiyan however used this against his phantom foe by taking in a prolonged deep breath, sucking in the ethereal mist, which soon took the fading shape of Hirudegarn's skull until all of him was inhaled. The body of the Legendary Super Saiyan expanded some, but the beastly deity only smirked before erupting in a huge energy wave, his power beaming like a star as Hirudegarn's shrill cry echoes from the epicenter of the blast. When the blinding light dims down, the Legendary Super Saiyan puffs out a pitiful smoke cloud in the shape of a skull. The fleeting cloud tries to float away only to be caught inside of a crystal ball by the Alicorn, who reappears just over it.

Sending Hirudegarn's essence away as she did with Janemba's, the two face off against Discord. The living paradox sneers as with but a gesture, the Saiyan is reduced to a jawbreaker much to the surprise of the Alicorn, shocked as it flies for Discord's open mouth. Even more shocking to the chaotic demon, is when the jawbreaker did as the name implies, piercing through the back of the throat before whirling around and slamming into the jaw with such force that it near flies off the skull.

Discord uses his magic again to turn the jawbreaker into party streamers, only for the celebratory items to cut away at him and strangle the body, and so despite it all Discord relents. He gives the Saiyan his original body back understanding the truth behind Saiyans. A truth the Ancestor speaks up to at Raditz's silent question.

"No matter what we may change into, no matter how thoroughly we are destroyed, a Saiyan's power is always present. The Super Saiyan is might unrivaled, so when that snake freak tried to make a fool out of him... Well, you can see the results. See what I mean by that physically, we are magically inclined?"

Discord taunts the Legendary Super Saiyan, goading him into a deceitful challenge, where both of them will fight without the aid of any magic, meaning that the Alicorn would have to spectate. She argues against the Saiyan's foolish decision but concedes under the threat of both beings attacking her. She has confidence in her magic against Discord, but along the insurmountable strength and dominance of the Legendary Super Saiyan, the risk is too high either way. She lowers her head in defeat as the two clash.

"Why would he do something so idiotic!? It's madness to deny a powerful ally that can do as much crazy crap as your opponent! He'll die!"

Raditz shouts full of frustration. The Ancestor snickers at his reaction.

"That's why you are different."

"Huh?"

"Every Saiyan naturally wants to punch above their weight. To overcome any obstacle, even you have this trait, but you're also careful. Methodical. You think things through outside of the fight and that is your greatest advantage. A Saiyan can be baited as you've seen here into suicidal situations by just goading us with the promise of a great fight."

"So I've noticed... But even the Prince will turn down a fight if he knows he can't win."

"Not if goaded into it by threatening his pride. You however are far more methodical. You look for ways to win by any means as well. Honorable or not, you fight to survive rather than to conquer, and right now in your life that's how you should fight."

Raditz folds his arms thinking on these words as he watches Discord and The Legendary Super Saiyan whittle each other down. Move by move, despite every dirty maneuver and trick made by the amalgamation, in spite of all of his magic as he immediately broke the promise on his end...

The Legendary Super Saiyan uses his own energy to entrap Discord's form using the Oozaru Roar, paralyzing the demon at once, and this alone would be enough to even the odds as he batters the Chaotic One into an interdimensional pulp.

As Discord lays broken on the ground within the remains of a city, the Legendary Super Saiyan scoffs as he readies a gigantic fist, until Majin Buu flies right into the chest of the powerful warrior.

He sends the Legendary Super Saiyan back with a deep bruise in his chest, the first injury the golden entity suffered. The Almighty Saiyan unleashes another Oozaru Roar, but Majin Buu smirks at the power before retaliating with his own impossibly thunderous roar, the two powers clash against each other nullifying themselves.

Discord tears open a portal in time and space to escape, but the Alicorn emerges from the portal before he can enter it, and uses all of her own magical might to petrify the weakened entity. Turning him into a frozen stone statue that is sent away leaving only Majin Buu...

"So in the end, the Majins weren't enough against the greatest of both Saiyan and Equestrian, and we barely won the battle. Right?"

Raditz looks to the Ancestor expecting him to confirm this, but his father's look alike doesn't respond, waving a hand as the realm blurs with images moving faster than the young Saiyan can comprehend. When things become clear again, his heart sinks into his stomach. The Ancestor lets out a sigh nodding.

"They weren't strong enough."

Majin Buu cackles madly as he holds the broken body of the Saiyan who reverted to his original form, robbed of his great size and golden luster, and the Alicorn lays on the ground with Majin Buu's foot on her hornless head. He slams his plaything down on her and holds a hand out ready to destroy both them and the planet they were on.

"I did say we got lucky though."

The Ancestor says before Majin Buu can detonate his victims, a flying figure kicks him so hard in the jaw that the foot stretches out of the other cheek, sending Majin Buu flying like a rubber band. A woman with fair skin and an ivory mohawk lands. She wears angular robes with sharp shoulders.

As Majin Buu sits up, another being of a similar look stomps down on him, a much taller and muscular man with a red mohawk stands on top of the demon.

He's sent flying from a jab that stretches out to his jaw allowing the Majin to leap to his feet, only to be cut in half by another man in the same attire, a short stout one with a moustache.

Majin Buu puts himself back together as his halves simply fly back into place with an annoyed grunt. The two enter a swift exchange of blows until another small figure enters the fray with the swordsman, the youngest so far with violet skin and an ivory mohawk, this young fighter aids his senior as their eyes glow a brilliant light that causes Majin Buu's form to ripple before he stumbles back from an intense shockwave that forces his upper body back in an awkward standing position.

At last, a rotund one with pink skin and a short blue mohawk appears behind Makin Buu, the two having a stare down before he too opens his glowing eyes as Majin Buu is blasted away into pieces. All five beings raise their hands and form two halves of a sphere thay closes in on the pieces.

The Ancestor points to each newcomer as he explains to Raditz.

"West. South. North. East. These are the Supreme Kais of four quadrants of the universe, the end all be all of the universe and watchers over all life. They're all lead by the big guy there, Grand Supreme Kai. All you need to know is that they deemed Buu such a fierce threat, that they broke their vows to never come to the mortal world to directly interfere with mortal affairs, and would seal Majin Buu away... Individually, Majin Buu was far more powerful, but working together there isn't anything the Gods of Gods can't handle. They sealed the last Majin away and saved the entire universe... Most importantly, the Saiyans and Equestrians."

The realm shifts and changes to the Saiyan and Alicorn standing before the Supreme Kais. The Saiyan sneers with a fierce grin as he shakes hands with the genial Grand Supreme Kai, the West Supreme Kai heals them both, returning the Unicorn horn to the Alicorn, and South Kai take the sealed items holding the Majins.

"They would take each Majin and place them in in the furthest places of known universe. Hirudegarn would be buried on a dead world out on the furthest reaches of the universe. Janemba would be sealed away in Otherworld, the afterlife where all mortals go when we die. Discord would be entrusted unto the Equestrians as a promise since he was responsible for the destruction of their home world. Majin Buu's containment would be kept a mystery."

The realm would shift as Raditz find himself in a familiar scene. A spaceport, space vessels came and went all ferried by Equestrians and Saiyans. For the young Saiyan, who has fought his own fair share of Equestrians in the past, it bewilders him as he watches these two opposing forces working together in near perfect synch.

The Supreme Kais were present as well with the Super Saiyan of this era and the Alicorn now made Queen of Equestria. They were guided about the path to other planets, the knowledge of other heinous Majins, and the responsibility placed upon them to develop the rest of the universe to the best of their ability. The ultimate challenge to all mortal life. The Ancestor gestures to the scene.

"The Saiyans were ecstatic with the promise of more fights ahead and Equestrians elated with the prospect of being blessed by divinity to look after all of life. War and Peace, a balance that should have led to an era of prosperity, and for a time it did..."

Raditz would see the familiar program he and other children of the Saiyan Race would undergo. In pairs of two or more according to the environment of each world, Saiyan and Equestrian children would be sent to worlds plagued with horrific events, only to resolve it all by the time they reached young adulthood. Time and time again the two races would save many star systems for generations. It is an inspiring image... Until the last image seen would be a land strewn about with dead bodies, a wounded Pegasus forced on his knee with fear in his eyes as he looks up at a sneering bloody Saiyan woman, responsible for the slaughter around them both. She raises a hand to finish her massacre.

Raditz recognizes this image as it was part of the little history he was allowed to learn as a child. For the longest time, this image was the thought to be the start of Saiyan and Equestrian history, the eternal rivalry between once symbiotic races.

"Sadly, going by your memory, something happened that our two races would end up as bitter enemies..."

The realm returns to the vacant space Raditz has become all too familiar with as the Ancestor thumbs behind him to a door.

"It's time for you to go back. I hope you see how important your situation is. I don't know why this Luna is trying to bridge the gap between us Saiyans and the Equestrians, but this is the chance to make things right, especially since there is more evil in the universe now than ever before."

Raditz scoffs at his progenitor.

"You've been trying to groom me into being some galactic hero? This goes against everything a Saiyan stands for! We're strength incarnate!"

The Ancestor simply nods as he shoved a finger in Raditz's face.

"Precisely. It isn't your job to babysit other races, but to guard the Equestrians that will, and more importantly build the ones around you back up into proper fighting shape. Otherwise you'll be fighting a losing battle. The Saiyans and Equestrians need each other like plants and water... Now do you understand the true purpose of the Memorite you've been using? It's so that you and the other Saiyans would remember the past and fix things before it was too late."

Raditz remains silent as he stares down his progenitor. A fierce silent exchange between them before Raditz slaps the hand away and lets out another Oozaru Roar at him.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!"

Blasting the Ancestor apart into a cloud of dust, Raditz stands there in a realm of his thoughts alone, literally stuck in his head for a time until he makes his way for the door. As he left, the Ancestor returns to the waning realm now robbed of a proper occupant, he smiles with a great sense of pride.

"Stubborn bastard... Looks like I managed to get through to him after all. Things will be alright... Hopefully you can find the Super Saiyan of your Era."

Raditz wakes up in the cavern in front of the Oozaru Statue. He floats back before grabbing his head in intense pain as all the knowledge he accumulated ran through his head repeatedly, from his training to his history lesson, even his mission given to him by the union of the Ancient Saiyans. He falls to his knees trembling as all the information settles in his brain, with Cadance and Windy Whistles.

"Raditz! What's wrong with you?!"

"H-Hey big guy! You don't look so hot...!"

Raditz glares up at them, mouth open to shout at them, but as the memories become clear his gaze softens.

"... I'm fine. Cadance. Take us back to your home. I'll tell you everything I've learned."

Cadance gasps as she helps him to his feet.

"So it worked!? Her theory rang true after all! I-I mean it was my theory too but-!"

"If you won't teleport us out I'll fly through the ground."

She silences herself upon the threat of a cave-in, she brings the trio back to her home, but are all greeted by a terrible tremor. Rushing outside, Raditz looks to see the population in a panic from disaster up above, a gigantic meteor is plummeting down from space at a ludicrous speed! The planet would be destroyed in a near instant upon contact, even Raditz could tell as much without his scouter.

Cadance uses her magic to ferry others away with here teleportation spell.

"How...?! How were we not alerted to that?! We should have been warned or saw this coming with our scanners! Was there a malfunction on Lord Cooler's end?!"

Raditz knew better. Whether the Frost Demon sent this on purpose or saw it coming by coincidence, Cooler purposefully left them in the dark, all to test the Saiyan. Well, if it's a test he must take, then all he has to do is pass. Raditz snaps at Cadance at once.

"The Ring! Undo it NOW!"

Cadance obliges and Raditz surges with power once again. He knows that in spite of his time within the Memories of the Saiyans, his training hadn't carried over physically, his lungs weren't as defined nor suited for the task ahead.

But he has the knowledge.

As Raditz blasts himself skyward like a rocket towards certain doom, he stops just short of impact as the meteor enters the atmosphere. He closes his eyes and recalls on the lessons taught to him. In spite of all his teachings in the past, his emotion is his greatest weapon, as it's proven to save him time and time again. With all he has, gathering his inner power and focusing it all to a certain point, he takes in an long deep breath, before releasing everything he has in one unfathomable shout.

In the voice of a raging Great Ape, the wild cry of an Oozaru fused with the power and tact of a disciplined warrior, Raditz continues roaring away at the deathly celestial threat. The asteroid ripples and quakes as it descends before being broken into large chunks. These chunks then split apart into a series of rocks, which are torn even further asunder into pebbles, until naught but a large cloud of space dust is blown away into the cold vacuum.

Raditz hadn't just deflected the world-ending threat but utterly disintegrated it as well, much to the silent awe of those below. As he descends, the other Equestrians all begin to crowd around him and cheer. Granny Smith approaches with a great sigh of relief.

"Oh thank goodness you were here, Radish! I knew you were a loudmouth but sheesh!"

Bright Mac by her side uncovers his ears with a big smile.

"You're so strong! So strong that even your voice breaks things! You gotta teach me to do that at some point!"

Windy Whistles flies to his side as Cadance appears next to him.

"That was incredible! You shouted that entire thing away! Is that what you learned from that statue?"

"You've really grown, Raditz. Thank you so much for... F-For-!"

Cadance stammers as the crowd gasps with Raditz turning to them with blood in his mouth. He takes a few forceful steps trying to keep his mouth shut, but after the third his body gives in for him, as he coughs out a small pool of blood before falling to his side with wide eyes. The pain. It's so great, too great, he couldn't scream even if his throat and chest weren't on fire. As his vision blurs fading into darkness he can just barely hear their muffled cries...

Raditz wakes up in a bed he isn't familiar with. The pain is gone and he even grunts to reassure his voice still functions. He looks about the colorful room full of gifts with various names on them... All addressed to him. He goes through a few, most being tasty meals he ravenously devours with no hesitation, but some are inedible. Letters, flowers, mementos from all over New Canterlot. Such things should mean nothing to him. He is a hostage forced to protect and maintain his own prison cell that is this planet or else suffer the consequences...

Yet he couldn't help but feel a greater warmth inside of him he has never known as he reads every letter. These names, these ponies, they should bring him great anguish and annoyance as he nearly died for a bunch of weaklings that tease him to no end.

However, they also revere him. They thank him, graciously.

It's enough to make him nauseous but he finds himself determined now. Perhaps out of spite for Cooler or perhaps as a means to repay Luna, the Saiyan grows only more emboldened to protect this planet. As his ancestors long ago done before, tradition returns as a Saiyan dons his armor once again, eager to return to his duty as Guardian of the Equestrians...

Especially after reading a note from Cadance as she details what she last scanned from the scouter after his recovery.

A power level of five-hundred and eighty thousand.
