Hello everyone. I am glad the last chapter was so well received. Just to warn you, this chapter contains some UPSETTING SCENES.
Bloody Rogue dragon deity king: Indeed.
Wingsaber: Originally it was 10 but not anymore.
decode9: No spoilers but you will find you answer in this chapter.
BibiloveMarichat: Yes Cruella was a big inspiration for this. Well they revealed MDC as a designer, not her identity.
Gensitapotter: I'm glad.
Kurai Amaya: She is FAR from done. Marinette's was Bluejay. And in response to your messge, yes it was a falcon. A beautiful bird. It is so important for them to know. I think it did that to a lot of people.
DiamondHeart31: No spoilers.
Alondweb: I hope you enjoy.
bloody dragon fang: Indeed.
USoGoodIComment: Glad you're still enjoying.
Nampayo: It's going to get even more exciting.
Guest: I hope you like Morgana as an OC.
It'sASecret: A nice handful of Lukanette is okay. I hope you enjoy. I aim to reply to everyone in case there are any questions asked.
Uooomman: I do love a good villain. But I also love a smart OC too. If Morgana knew anything about Hawkmoth, she would have already exposed him.
Dawn Justice: Glad you enjoyed.
lownick67: Your dialogue is interesting but it will go a little differently but that is all I will say.
It was bright and sunny on the Monday morning and MDC was still the talk on Twitter. Marinette still couldn't believe it. While she was amazed at all the responses that people were giving her, she was under strict instruction not to respond to anyone. MDC couldn't be too talkative now because even online, someone could pick up on a phrase one used and that was not what she needed from the class. Although Luka had made her laugh when he had shown her the meme of Lila falling. Looks like Lila got her fame. She had been thinking a lot about Luka. Heck she even had to pace herself when she had the interview. The interview had gone rather well. The Dean, now known as Mrs Jayne, was a strict and firm woman but was extremely kind and didn't even tell her off when she stuttered once. She was ten times a teacher that Miss Bustier was as well as a headteacher, unlike her weird owl one. She would find out about her result later in the day so to avoid any stress, she decided not to look at her phone at all until there was a notification. Fixating on it wouldn't do anything now.
"Wonder what everyone will be like today," Marinette said to herself as she walked up the steps to school. Today she was wearing a long blue sweater with a plaid skirt, long socks, and sneakers.
"Well, the most important thing to remember is to stay calm and don't argue with Lila. It will raise suspicion," Tikki said from her purse.
"Got it," Marinette said. She entered the classroom to see everyone looking up at the projector. Miss Bustier was extra early and Marinette prayed she wasn't late. Checking the clock, she wasn't. so, what was going on? Class hadn't started.
"Morning Marinette! Everyone was so excited about the show, we just decided to go back over it. I thought you knew?" Miss Bustier said as Marinette said as she took her seat.
"No, I guess I didn't check my messages," Marinette said, knowing fully well that class left her out of their group chats now.
"I can't believe MDC made her debut!" Rose gushed, still in amazement of her outfit.
"…" Juleka agreed.
"While it was cool, still think it was rude of her to take the attention away," Alya said, and Lila nodded but there was a look of distain on her face. Marinette took this opportunity to comment.
"You don't seem happy about Lila. I thought you'd be happy for her. You said she's like your sister, right?" Marinette asked with a smile.
"Well yes… but she did go a bit too far. I did try to warn her," Lila said. Don't you dare try and upstage me Maritrash, Lila thought with a hidden sneer.
"Oh, I am sorry class, I forgot to pick up some papers from the printer room. I will be back in a few minutes," Miss Bustier said then exiting the room.
Everyone then started going into conversation aside from Marinette and Morgana. Adrien then seemed to take notice on how quiet Morgana was. He was trying to make it up to her since the incident so maybe including her was a good way to go.
"You okay Morgana?" Adrien said, causing a few looks to go her way. Morgana hunched slightly.
"I'm okay…" Morgana said. A lightbulb appeared in Marinette's head.
"Is this about the chess match still? You did seem upset last week," Marinette said gently.
"Why are you upset? Is everything okay?" Sabrina asked.
"Yeah, why are you sad? You won!" Kim said.
"I don't…want to talk about it…" Morgana said but cast a look at Lila before looking down. Nino saw this.
"Yeah, I remember, you seemed afraid of Lila… dudette, did you say something to her?" Nino asked Lila, who almost choked on her breath. Where did this come from!
"Wait what?"
"They did come late into class…"
"Maybe Lila was a bad sport. She did say she cheated!"
"Nino!" Alya practically barked, putting her arm around a now fake crying Lila.
"N-Nino, how can you say that?" Lila asked tearfully.
"What I'm sorry but she ran away from you crying! You two came late to class so I just assumed!" Nino said in defence.
"Well Lila isn't lying!" Alya stated.
"Morgana wouldn't lie! She won the game," Mylene added in.
"Look, why don't they both apologise to each other, then this is over and done with," Alya suggested. Lila almost hit the girl at that. She didn't have to apologise! She didn't even do anything to her! Well, she did want to corner her, but she didn't even get the chance.
"Morgana…I'm sorry I upset you," Lila practically forced out. Marinette could have laughed at the look on her face. But to her surprise, Adrien chimed in.
"I don't see why Morgana has to apologise. Lila was a bad sport, she most likely said something that hurt Morgana's feelings when she was trying to be nice," Adrien suddenly said. Wow, was the only thing Marinette could think. Someone finally has a spine.
"Adrien…!" Lila stuttered.
"I gotta agree. Morgana doesn't have to apologise," Nino said, and the rest of the class murmured in agreement, minus Lila and Alya.
The blogger glared at her boyfriend but then back at the screen. Marinette could have danced for joy. Morgana didn't even say more than two sentences and she had the class in her palm! Dance puppets, dance, Morgana said in her head. And just when she couldn't have planned it better, as the projector screen rolled down, the meme of Lila appeared.
"Hey, is that you Lila?" Ivan asked, pointing to the screen.
"What?" Lila almost snapped as she looked up at the screen and almost gasped in horror at what she saw.
"I can confirm that is Lila," Max said as he pushed his glasses up on his nose.
"Why is that there?" Alya said in shock.
"Looks like it's up quite a lot," Kim stated.
"Yeah! It's got everything! Wow Lila," Alix said, trying not to laugh. In fact, a lot of people were trying not to laugh, and Lila was going red in the face. She had to do damage control.
"Marinette how could you! You made that of me just because I couldn't get you an invite?" Lila sobbed. Laughter turned into scowls next as everyone glared at Marinette simply sat with a calm look on her face.
"Oh yes Lila, I took my attention away from one of the biggest icons to look at you," Marinette said simply.
"Excuse me!" Alya snapped, coming to Lila's defence.
"What? You know I love fashion. I couldn't stop looking at her," Marinette answered. This caused a few members of the class to think about that.
"I guess she's right. Besides I don't think you're that tech savvy that you can did that," Alix commented.
"Yeah, you know me. I forgot my passwords twice a week," Marinette said, earning a few chuckles. Oh, if Lila had a chair, she'd have thrown it by now.
"I can confirm that this isn't Marinette. This meme seems to have originated in America," Markov said. Marinette didn't think Lila could look anymore ticked off. Well, she could change that.
"Oh Lila, I was so looking forward to your parcel too," Marinette said.
"What parcel?" Lila almost snapped but quickly did her best to calm down, so the suspicion wouldn't grow.
"You know, the one you said your friend in fashion was getting for me?" Marinette answered.
"Oh yes! I'm sorry Marinette, I thought it would have come by now. I think you need to be a little patient," Lila sniffed.
"Yeah Marinette, not everything revolves around you," Alya sneered.
"Oh, I know. But I was so excited, I went to the post office to get a ticket confirmation of expected deliveries for me. I don't seem to have any on the way. I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up…I thought we were becoming closer," Marinette said with a soft sigh.
"Nicely done," Morgana said under her breath.
"Well…" Lila said, actually being lost for words at this. How could Marinette have thought of this? She felt eyes come over to her at this; very judgemental ones.
"Did you really get her hopes up?" Rose asked sadly.
"No! No! I guess I just need to check with my friend to make sure the name and address was right," Lila said, trying to hide her nervousness. It was the first time she was nervous about a lie. Oh, Marinette would pay for this.
"Okay class, I know we are excited about this new designer but let's get back to the lesson!" Miss Bustier said as she came back in the class with an armful of papers.
Lila silently seethed in her seats while Marinette smiled as she opened her notebook to make notes for her online class. Morgana sat still at the back, as watchful as ever, keeping her eye on the clock for the right time. She needed a pick-up point.
"M-May I use the r-rest-room?" Morgana asked shyly.
"Okay, but please be quick," Miss Bustier said as she handed out sheets. Morgana quickly moved from her seat and out the door, much to Marinette's curiosity.
Aurore was currently zipping up her bag ready for gym class. All over the weekend, she had researched the backside off this name that she had been given and boy, she did not like what she had found. It made her stomach turn just thinking about it. Nevertheless, she put it all on a little memory stick and was looking down at it in her hand right now. She didn't want to put it in her bag. It was too obvious. The note said to put it in a place no one would think to look.
"Where would I not think to look…" Aurore muttered.
Her eyes then fell on her parasol, resting by her locker. Usually, she put it to the side and no one touched it. Surely… Aurore gave a nod to herself and then slipped the stick into the closed parasol. The bell then rung and with a contented sigh, she headed off to class, hoping her note sender would find it.
1 Hour Later
Aurore came back in quite a sweat after a tough game of dodgeball. Goodness, people really didn't know their own strength when throwing those red balls of iron! She retrieved her bag from her locker and then her eyes fell on her parasol. It didn't look like it had been moved. She picked it up and then clicked it open, only for a little piece of paper to fall out. She quickly swiped it off the floor as she heard the rest of the girls come into the room. Aurore scanned her eyes over the note.
Well done. You are an excellent reporter.
As well as other events you plan, I want you to plan a new one.
A Student Recognition Award. Awards for students.
Talented Artist. Talented Dancer. But the most important final category.
Outstanding Student. Students will be voting themselves
for the categories. No teachers allowed.
I want this done for this Friday. You have five days.
"An award ceremony huh?" Aurore muttered.
From what she had learned about this person, was that their intentions were not unkind. In fact, they seemed to be planning something. This wasn't the work of an akuma or a villain by the looks of it. To be honest, her mind was thinking back to her conversation with Marinette. She wasn't the note sender she knew that. But when she thought of outstanding student, Marinette was the first. She was so kind, always did her best, helped others and so much more. Then it clicked. A small smile slipped onto her face. This wasn't just to show who the best student was. This was also to show who the best liar was. She needed to pay the little liar a visit.
Morgana sat alone as usual at lunch time. She had retrieved the memory stick from the parasol respectively and was extremely please. She was not stupid enough to open the files in school as she didn't need anyone hacking it. She'd look at it later. Her eyes darted over the cafeteria as people met in groups and ate. She noticed Marinette on the phone with someone and she was laughing quite a lot. Must be on the phone with Luka. Goodness, Morgana wasn't the best with emotions but even she was getting annoyed that nothing had been done about it yet. Maybe Kagami's sword would be handy. Her yes then locked on Lila, who was walking over with Alya, Adrien and Nino. No wait. She blinked again and, in an instant, the whole class was practically going over to her. Interesting. She was far enough away to not be involved but close enough to hear. Thinking on her feet, she grabbed an apple and threw it at the nearest table. It didn't hit anyone, but five people cast her annoyed looks. Morgana raised a finger to her lips and pointed over to the group. The table followed her point and saw the class and watched them. One person from the group signalled another table, which went on until half the cafeteria was watching the akuma class.
"We can't have a performance without an audience," Morgana said as she sipped her drink.
"Yes, I am super excited about it. Say, when are you finishing your new song? I'd love to hear it!" Marinette said.
"It's almost done. But I need you to help me finish it," Luka said.
"Why me? I'm not musical in the slightest," Marinette said.
"You give me inspiration for my music," Luka said, making the bluentte's cheeks heat up. Her eyes then noticed the incoming crowd and her heart started to pound.
"Uh…I have to go," Marinette said, hanging up quickly. The last thing she wanted was for them to start on Luka. She cared too. Much about him for that.
"Marinette, you are so inconsiderate!" Alya said, slamming her hands on the table, making Marinette's tray with food wobble.
"Hello Alya, what seems to be the issue?" Marinette said politely.
"Aurore just came to us when we were in line for food. She just said Lila missed two meetings on Friday and group event on the weekend!" Alya stated.
"Yes?" Marinette said in slight confusion.
"So, what gives? Why didn't you let Lila know?" Alya demanded.
"Kinda uncool to not let her know about important stuff," Nino stated.
"I'm sorry but I gave Lila a list of the regular meetings when I resigned as president. You saw the binders I gave her, didn't you?" Marinette said, making Lila freeze. She had thrown those binders in her room and not spared them another glance.
"There was no list in there Marinette. Why are you trying to make me look silly in front of the other representatives," Lila said tearfully, making the akuma class insult her even more.
What they weren't aware of, was that Morgana had pulled out her phone and started to record the situation, knowing fully well what would happen. The surrounding tables were too engrossed in what was happening to even pull out their phones.
"I know I put it in there, Lila. But if you couldn't find it, you could have always asked one of the other presidents for the meetings. They would have given you a list," Marinette said with a smile.
"I tried! They all ignored me! You told them lies about me!" Lila said, holding her face in her hands.
"Marinette, your bullying is getting out of control!" Alya said angrily, almost looming over the poor girl at this point. Now Marinette felt scared. The rest of the class, minus Adrien, who in fairness, was trying to get them to back off, didn't look happy either.
"I'm not…" Marinette started but then it happened.
"Just leave, we don't want you here! This school doesn't need hateful and abusive bullies like you!" Alya shouted.
Alya then flipped her hand up, so Marinette's tray went up in the air and landed right on top of Marinette. The poor girl yelped as she fell back off her chair and hit the floor, where her food landed on top of her. Spaghetti covered her face and clothes along with her drink, salad, and pudding. You could have heard a pin drop. Everyone, including Morgana, had horrified looks on their faces. Only certain people in the akuma class laughed, while some looked slightly uncomfortable. Marinette felt hot tears pour out of her eyes and she sat up. Her vision became blurry with her tears, and she struggled to stand up in the mess but then ran off to the bathroom, covering her face as she sobbed.
"Oh Alya," Lila said softly, although she wanted to secretly jump with glee at this new turn of events. She hadn't even done anything, and it played out wonderfully.
"She needed the lesson. Come on, let's go and get some lunch," Alya said, slinging her arm over Lila's shoulder and walking off. They didn't even look sorry.
Some of the class followed but someone of them stopped and looked at the floor. Adrien was one of those people. He went to go and follow Marinette but he only then realised that the entire cafeteria was glaring at him and the class. Feeling the heat from the glares, all he could do was usher the rest of the class out before anything else happened. After they left, mutters went around the room, filled with all sorts of horrible comments about the class. Morgana noted Aurore getting up from her table.
"How could they do that! I'm going after her, in case an akuma comes. I have some spare clothes for my television shoot after. Someone go and tell Miss Bustier!" Aurore said.
"That won't work, she'd just tell Marinette to be the bigger person and that it was a playful prank," someone else said.
"We'll clean up the mess and get her bag," a third said as they got up and went over to the messy spot.
"Disgusting humans," Morgana said as she turned off her phone. While she applauded Aurore and her friends, something had to be done about the akuma class. Something much bigger than lawyers were needed now.
She needed to speed up her plan before Friday. Her mind flashed back to the online user she had found when MDC debuted last weekend.
Flashback
Morgana quickly clicked on the person's profile. Seems that the person lived in Italy and was around the same age as she was. A lot of followers, seemed pretty normal. Clicking on the message icon, she typed in a message.
Chess_Master
Hello. Sorry to bother you but am I to understand you know the girl falling over in the picture? Because I know her too.
FairyQueen_MagicRules
Hello! Yes, I think I do know her. She went to school with me for two years before she moved. Although I don't really know you and I don't really want to disclose her name online.
Chess_Master
That is understandable. But say if I gave you a description of her, will that help your opinion of me? And that I am a real person?
FairyQueen_MagicRules
I suppose that's fair!
Chess_Master
This girl is a compulsive liar who has set out to ruin the life of a sweet girl in my school. She has turned everyone against her. So much that she has become depressed, and her mental health is suffering.
FairyQueen_MagicRules
Oh no…it's happening again.
Chess_Master
So, we have a common enemy. I will not make you do anything you don't want to. But I am seeking to take this liar down, but I cannot do it alone.
FairyQueen_MagicRules
I can't let her do this again. I want to help. But you should know that there's more of us.
Chess_Master
How many more?
FairyQueen_MagicRules
Too many.
End Flashback
Morgana pulled out her phone, dialled a number and held it to her ear. Finally, someone picked up.
"Kagami, it's me. Something bad has happened. We need damage control, we need to speed things up. Get Luka on the phone. Now."
So the bullies have gone out of control. It will only get better or worse from here. But which? Please review, favourite and follow for more. NO HATE IN THE COMMENTS PLEASE. Bye for now.
