Chapter 4

The travelers go home.

Three years have passed and Yumi and Ford are 32 years old. Yumi has been traveling the dimensions for 16 years. And Ford had been traveling the dimensions for 5 years. Yumi and Ford have grew very close to each other. To the point that they have fallen in love. They even know everything about each other. Right now Ford is trying to find a rift. He's looking for a rift because. The current dimension that they he and Yumi are in. Doesn't have anyone living in it and Ford needs help. He and Yumi are running low on supplies for one. And two Yumi isn't doing so well. She's not feeling well and it's slowing her Ford down.

In heaven Ulrich's spirit has been searching everywhere for Yumi. He's been searching because he wants to help her. He happen to be looking through the dimensions. When he saw a man desperately looking for something. He can hear the man talking so he listened.

"Where's a rift I've got to find a rift. And hopefully it will lead us. To a dimension that has people that can help. Yumi isn't well she isn't well at all." fretted the man

Ulrich looked behind the man and sure enough it's Yumi. Yumi looks pale and is moving slowly behind the man. Ulrich watched as the man looked behind him at Yumi. He can see the concern on the man's face. The man went over to Yumi and asked "How are you doing sweet heart?" Yumi smiled slightly and replied "I'm doing ok for now."

"Are you sure I can carry you if need be?" asked Ford

"Thanks for the offer but I'm ok for now." assured Yumi

Ulrich can tell that Yumi is putting up a brave front. And he can tell that she's very sick. Using that he has Ulrich is going to have. A rift open in front of them. Just then he heard Yumi say "Tell me about Gravity Falls again Ford." Ulrich used his energy and a light blue rift opened in front of Yumi and Ford. Ulrich is going to make sure it leads. To the forest of Gravity Falls. Ford can see the rift and ran forward. Yumi went to go follow Ford but started coughing. Ford stopped dead in his tracks. He turned around and went back for Yumi. The man picked her up in his arms. Then he turned and headed back to the rift. Thanks to his travels and Yumi's help Ford has become strong.

Ford walked up to and went through the rift. Once through the rift Ford looked around. He can see tall pine tree everywhere. It looks like he's back on Earth. But he and Yumi have wound up on a parallel Earth before. Ford kept walking and as he walked. The more he recognized the area. Ford quickened his pace and headed west. Soon he came to a pound. He smiled when he saw the because. Ford know of only one place that has the plaidypus. The man turned away from the pound. And headed in the direction he know that his house is in.

"Don't worry Yumi I know where we are. And hopefully I have what I'll need to help you get better." assured Ford

When Yumi didn't answers he looked down at her. He can see that her eyes are closed. Ford felt her forehead and can tell that she has a high fever. He lengthen his stride and walked faster. Soon he came to a clearing and see his house. But it looks different but right now he doesn't care. He went up to and into the house. It looks like part of th house has been turned into a tourist trap. Ford went through the house to where his room is. But there is a bookcase in front of the door. Using his shoulder he pushed the bookcase out of the way. He opened the bedroom door and went in. Ford walked up to a large sectional. He laid Yumi on the sectional then left the room.

The man found the bathroom and started going through the medicine cabinet. Suddenly Ford heard a gruff voice ask "Hey who the hell are you? And what are doing in my bathroom?" Ford quickly turned around and saw Stanley. Stanley looked at Ford in shock then asked "Ford is that really you?" Ford showed Stanley his six fingered hands. Stanley smiled and asked "Ford it's good to see you. But how did you get back? I haven't found the other journals yet. Let alone got that portal up and running." Ford smiled also and replied "It's good to see you too Stanley. I'll explain everything later. But I need a piece of paper and a pen." Stanley took a small note pad and pen out of his pocket. He gave it to Ford and he started writing medicines that he needs.

Ford gave the note pad to Stanley and said "Please go to the pharmacy and get these medicines." Stanley nodded and walked down the hall. Ford went to the kitchen and got a bottle of water. Then he went to his private study. Luckily he found his stash of money. He took out some money to pay back Stanley. Then he went back to his room. He sat down next to Yumi and said "Hang in there my sweet heart." Thirty minutes later Stanley came into Ford's room. He gave the medicines to Ford. Stanley looked and saw an unconscious woman on the sectional. Ford opened all of the medicine packages. He has a total of six different pills in his hand. Then he took his other hand an put it behind Yumi's head. He lifted and tilted her heard just right.

"Alright sweetheart you've got to take these pills for me." coxed Ford

The woman opened her mouth a bit. One by one Ford put a pill in her mouth. Then he gave her water to drink it down. Soon he gave her all six pills. Then he laid her head down. Ford then stood and went over to his closet. He took a blanket out of the closet. Then he went over and covered Yumi up. Stanley put a hand on Ford's shoulder and said "Come on Ford let's go to the kitchen and talk." The two men left Ford's room and went tot the kitchen. Stanley got into the fridge and got out two bottles of water. He gave one to Ford and sat down.

"Ford how are you here? And who is that woman?" asked Stanley

"The woman's name is Yumi and I believe. That we've been traveling together for four years. It's thanks to her that I'm still alive. Because she saved me more than once. And she taught me how to survive in the dimensions. And I also have fallen love with her." informed Ford

"How are you back home?"asked Stanley

"I was searching for a rift. Hoping to get Yumi to a dimension. That had people that might be able to help. When I saw a light blue rift open in front of us. She started coughing. So picked her up and carried her. At first I though we were on a parallel Earth. But when I found the plaidypus pound. I knew that I was home." explained Ford

Stanley nodded and asked "How long has she been sick."

"About week or so. She said it was just a cold and that she'd be fine. But she has just been getting worse." replied Ford

Ford looked at Stanley and asked " What have you done to my home?" Stanley looked at Ford and replied "I had to do something. To pay the bills and you mortgage. Luckily the towns people never really met you so. I started giving tours of the house. Being a lair and a cheat has some in handy. Stan let Pines is dead and I faked a car crash to boot."

"How could you do that to Ma and the rest of the family?" And why turn my house into a tourist trap?" asked Ford

"I figured no one would miss me. And like I said I had to do something to pay the bills and the mortgage . Plus I felt so bad about what happened between us. I wanted to try to get you back." replied Stanley

"Ma and Sherman would miss you Stanley. I'm not sure about Pa. And we are both at fault for what happened. I wasn't in a good mental state. And should have worded things differently." sighed Ford

"Ford what kind of trouble were you in anyway?" asked Stanley

Ford sighed again and explained to Stanley. Everything to do with Bill Cipher. After he was done explaining. Stanley nodded and said "Sounds like we have to destroy that portal." Ford looked at Stanley and asked "What do you mean we?" Stanley shrugged and replied "I could help you if you want." Ford smiled and said "Sure you can Stanley." Just then Stanley thought of a question. So he asked "Hey Ford why was Yumi traveling the dimensions?" Ford told Stanley what Yumi told him. After Ford was done Stanley said " Sounds like someone needs to get rid of this Bill guy." Ford sighed and said "I don't know if that's even possible to get rid of Bill."

The brothers ended up talking late into the night. Then Stanley went to his room. And Ford went into his room. He cuddled up next to Yumi. Before he went to sleep he felt her forehead. He can tell that her fever is still high. Ford fell asleep hoping that Yumi will be alright.
