Steve got home from the funeral of his friend and followed Catherine inside to where she headed to grab a shower while he found all of the boys asleep on the couch. She walked down about ten minutes later after he put the little ones to bed and joined her on the couch where laid her head on his shoulder as turned on Child's Play and she snickered, "What?"
"You still have never seen end of this movie?" she asked softly.
He rolled his eyes, "This is a good movie."
"I don't think that it's going to work for you this time."
He got a goofy grin, "It worked out just fine last time though."
She laid down pulling him with her and he put a throw blanket over both of them, "Sorry sailor it's not working tonight."
He kissed side of her head, "Okay, just watch the movie."
He watched the movie and she drifted off to sleep and he held her running hand over her bad arm but took her a little while to fall asleep.

Steve woke up around six that morning to his phone ringing and tried to reach for it on the table without waking her and she didn't wake when he answered, "McGarrett...okay where...will let them know and be there in about ten." He hung up and tried to get up, "I gotta go Cath."
She shook her head not opening her eyes, "Stay here and sleep."
He kissed her, "Wish I could but this is not far from Pearl."
"Hm, fine," she let him go and he grabbed a Navy shower and by the time he got back she was asleep and headed to the crime scene around the corner from Pearl. Chin was waiting for them when arrived, "MPs responded to a gunshots fired and when they arrived Petty Officer Raymond Taylor was dead and cousins Jacob and Patrick Donaldson were both bleeding. Patrick was nearly dead before EMT arrived but both on the way to Tripler."
"We know anything about any of them?" Danny asked.
"Jacob is an honor student at Duke University and here visiting his cousin Patrick that still lives here on the island. Both are natives to the island."
A man walked over, "Commander McGarrett."
Steve nodded at the newcomer, "JJ has been ages what you doing here?"
He motioned with his head to where Camaro was sitting, " Patrick Donaldson was under investigation for suspected in trafficking drugs in and out of Pearl and Taylor was suspected of using his high clearance to sell government secrets to someone but don't know you."
"And you brought us in here why?"
He glared at his friend, "We think there's a mole here in NI but have no idea who that might be-"
Danny walked over, "And thought we could help without making matters worse?"
"I was about to contact Catherine about helping since she's still a consultant for the Navy but thought would talk to you first."
Steve pulled out his phone and texted her, "Will meet up at our office."

By the time Catherine arrived at HQ rest of them were there and walked over to the smart table where hugged the other man, "Hey Catherine."
She pat his shoulder, "Nice to see you JJ what you drag me out of bed at six in the morning for?"
He set his tablet on the table, "Patrick and Raymond went to school with one another but Raymond dropped out. Jacob was the lucky one in the family and got a full ride scholarship in basketball to Duke and think was there at the wrong moment and got caught in the shooting."
"So why am I here?" she said sipping her coffee.
"You were the best in NI so thought would be good idea for you to come in."
She raised an eyebrow, "And?"
"There might be a mole somewhere in there...had been thinking to hire you two but than...am sorry about Billy he was a good man."
Danny moved next to her, "So what do you want from all of us?"
"You will work to find out what really happened there and Catherine can work with me and see what might have been stolen."
Steve came back over, "Chin work to see if can find a connection between Donaldson and Taylor."

A few hours later Danny walked back over to his partner office and found him pacing around, "Something want to share?"
Steve looked over at his partner before hanging up, "I found a connection but not sure but can follow the lead."
Danny followed him outside surprised that taking the truck, "Where are we going?"
"He lives somewhere off the Kamehame Ridge Trail and earlier with the truck then your car unless want to clean it later."
He rolled his eyes as started playing with the radio, "Good point there but what you find out?"
"A friend of Taylor's that had worked with gave me a name of a guy he was seen arguing with the other day that can help us."
"So instead of sending the Navy to get him were going?"
"You heard they might have a mole and no telling where so easier."
The rode in silence for another fifteen minutes until Steve pulled up to a gate and could hear gunshots not far away and they both put on some Kevlar calling for backup. He stopped not far from the gate and snuck along the forest to where could hear arguing but all of a sudden a shot struck the ground near their feet. They took off running to where a truck that was riddled with bullet holes and looked around to see two gunman hiding behind another sedan.
