A few days had passed since the funeral and Catherine was still perplexed about what she wanted to do now that out of the Navy. She did have some options like stick with 5-0 and consulting work with a few private military companies. It had been fun working with them more often but she still wanted to continue what her and Billy had started not sure where to go from there.

Steve walked into the main office area to see his wife working in her office and stopped in the doorway, "Thought taking day off?"

She didn't look up but responded, "At the moment just doing something."

He sits on edge of the desk, "I know that after Billy passed away need to think more about what want to do but remember don't have to figure things out right away just find out on your own."

"I know thought that had things set when he offered me the spot but not sure right now."

"There are ways that can keep working here if wish and doing the same thing."

Danny walked into her office as he left and handed her coffee, "You doing good in here?"

"Yeah, why does everyone keep asking me that?"

"I don't know seems something is bothering you right now."

She waited for him to leave and went back to her laptop and started to chat with an old friend of hers that knew back from Navy Intel

CRollins: Dakota, how have you guys been?
DRoss: good and heard about Billy and really sorry
CRollins: thanks has been quite a while since heard from you. what been up to?
DRoss: nothing much got out of the Marines few months ago and thought would start something new
CRollins: that sounds right for you but what trying to do?
DRoss: not sure really after all with connections and training that have wouldn't be hard to start up
something in the same field
DRoss: I know that you got out of the Navy recently what been doing?
CRollins: been helping out 5-0 more often now but not sure
DRoss: had heard that Billy wanted to start a private firm going up
CRollins: yes, we had started it up shortly before he passed away not sure where to go with it
DRoss: have nothing to do right now if want to chat about it can fly down there
CRollins: that sounds like a good idea just let me know when get here can get you

Sometime that evening, Catherine had heard from her old friend that he had caught a flight out and what time arrived so met him at the airport. Dakota smirked as he spotted her standing there and exchanged a hug, "It's been far to long Catherine."

She lead him to her car, "Since that last mission in Thailand."

He chuckled, "That's something that still trying to forget. Still have the scar it left."

They headed to Kamokono place and ordered, "So what brings you here?"

"Always have loved my time out here and thought check it out and see yuo guys. How are the boys?"

Kamokono walked over with their food, "Aloha sista and friend."

"Thank yuo Kami."

"So now that Billy is out of here what trying to do with the whole firm thing you guys started?"

She shrugged not really thinking, "I still want to continue it but hard alone."

"I have nothing really to do for a while can help you out if want to."

She was smirking, "Not like don't know what doing."

He reached over smacking her shoulder, "I know a few things and people that could help out."

Adam and Kono were headed to the truck as spot them, "Hi there Catherine."

"Didn't know you were coming here Kono."

The other woman made face, "His meeting ended early so came for lunch."

"Dakota this is Kono we work together and her husband Adam."

That night, Catherine arrived home and once she walked in the front door could hear both the boys playing in the living room and headed to the kitchen. Steve looked up from where was cooking dinner and leaned over kissing her, "You came home late."

CJ cried until she picked him up cuddling her baby, "Chatted with Dakota you remember him."

"While in the Seals worked with his Marine unit a few times, right?"

She snagged a beer smiling, "Turns out he got out of the Marines recently and looking for something to do."

"I think Kono mentioned seeing you two over at Kami's this afternoon. So what he have planned?"

"Mentioned that wanted to continue things and said has a few leads that help with."

They headed out onto the lanai to eat, "That's a good thing am here if need."
