"Elena Wilder? She isn't a student here," Mr Damocles said as he looked at the presentation.
A few other students seemed to think about this too as they couldn't recall this student either. A certain sausage haired girl seemed to go tense on the stage. Morgana looked over at Lila.
"Do you know her, Lila?" Morgana asked.
"N-No, never heard of her," Lila answered as she folded her arms.
"Well, in that case, let me refresh your memory," Morgana said as a video came on the screen. The video showed Elena happily dancing on stage in a hall, then switching to her helping out students, chatting happily with teachers and so much more. She seemed liked a perfect student.
"She was a student in Italy... in Lila's old school," Greta breathed. She said it quietly, but even so, people heard her.
"I will warn you, what is going to be said next, may be distressing," Morgana said, and a few people looked uncomfortable.
"What do you mean?" Adrien asked. He was now on the side of the stage with his father standing next to him with an arm over his shoulder.
"Elena Wilder was a bright girl. Great grades, popular, always so kind to everyone. No one hated her. No one could. Well, that is until someone came along," Morgana said as she looked over at Lila. Greta started to pale. Lila didn't have anything to do with what happened... did she?
"What happened to her?" Marinette asked in alarm.
"Someone started a little rumour. Saying she cheated on tests, got involved with people's partner's, plagiarised tests and all sorts. Her friends all turned against her and bullied her to no end. She had no one. Her parents were the only ones who believed her. In the end..." Morgana said as she swiped on her tablet.
"No..." Marinette breathed as she saw newspaper photos of Elena.
TEEN DEATH SHAKES COMMUNITY
"A terrible event, really," Morgana said with a dark look on her eye. "She felt so isolated and so sad, that one day, she'd had enough. She went into the bathroom alone and never came out."
"Oh my god..." Luka said as Sabine had to hold him for support. She could barely stand herself. That could have been Marinette.
"I didn't have anything to do with that!" Lila blurted out as she felt the glares upon her. Morgana looked at her with a glare of her own.
"I never said you did. Mrs Rossi, would you mind giving me Lila's phone?" Morgana asked. Lila felt a tick appear on her forehead. No way would she give up her phone! It was hers and hers alone, not to share!
"Give her the phone Lila," Greta said stiffly.
"But Mama..." Lila started but her mother interrupted her with a yell.
"Give her the phone!" Greta shouted.
Lila looked to protest but she saw it was no use. She pulled out her phone and handed it over with a pout. There was no way she could open the phone anyway without a password. Morgana wasn't that smart. Morgana took it and turned it over in her hand.
"You know, Aurore was the one who helped me look into Elena's death. I just gave her the name and nothing else. I supposed you're all wondering how I got to know about Elena's death. After all, Lila here isn't linked to her on social media in anyway. People have talked to me about it of course... but that isn't really proof," Morgana said, giving Alya a glare, who flinched at this.
"So how did you get the name?" Aurore asked, wondering what the true intention of this was.
"Lila gave me the name on the day we played chess," Morgana stated.
"I never mentioned that girl to you, I don't even know her!" Lila protested and the class did reluctantly nod at this. Lila never mentioned such a name.
"I never said you gave it to me verbally," Morgana said as she looked down at the phone and opened the screen to show the passcode locked squares. She then managed to link Lila's screen up to the presentation so everyone could see the spaces needed to put in the numbers for the password.
"Then how...?" Aurore asked.
"Technology is a key part of our world. Phones are teen's life sources; some could even say it is their heart. You should never let your heart rule your thoughts, or your judgements," Morgana said as she started to put in a password.
"I never gave you her name," Lila hissed.
"No. You just gave me your heart and I saw what you treasured. People like you like to keep souvenirs of victories. Bracelets, accessories or even their favourite pencil. In your case... you were clever. But you had to be clever," Morgana said as she typed in the final number and opened Lila's phone, much to the shock of everyone.
"What?" Aurore barely whispered.
"Your passcode... 040613, which is the 4th of June 2013 or better known as the day Elena died. A date to remind you of your victory over Elena," Morgana finished.
"Oh my god..." Greta said into her hands as she backed away from her daughter. No, this wasn't her daughter. This was a monster. People looked genuinely horrified at the girl now.
"Lila, how could you..." Adrien gasped as he felt his father tighten his grip on his shoulder.
"You're a monster," Aurore said as she felt herself back away.
"No, it isn't what it looks like! It's just a coincidence!" Lila said as she looked around for any sort of support. She got none.
"Yet some of you may wonder how I got that name. You really should clear your phone screen history Lila. As you handed me your phone that day, in a millisecond, I saw your existence on that phone. Your contacts, your interests, and the photo of Elena's death on your internet image history. Like I said, you handed me your heart. You gave me everything I needed to bring you down," Morgana said as she threw the phone back to Lila, who caught it in a fumble.
"You..." Lila growled. It was all gone. Her fame, her popularity...all because one girl decided to play smart! Why couldn't people just obey her! She was a queen! Now all because of...Morgana...it was all gone! She started to grip her phone so hard, it started to crack.
"Anything to say?" Morgana asked.
"I didn't make Elena do anything! It was her own fault for defying me! All she had to do was go along with what I said but she was too stupid to follow!" Lila screamed. You could have heard a pin drop. Morgana however, turned to the crowd again.
"You heard it from her own mouth. That'll be good for your lawyer, right?" Morgana asked. Everyone turned their heads to see a couple coming towards the stage. From their facial features, Greta recognised them immediately.
"Mr and Mrs Wielder?" she squeaked.
"Yes Mrs Rossi. Morgana here contacted us saying she had found the liar who ostracised our daughter. Her friend was kind enough to fly us out here so we could see for ourselves," Mrs Wielder said as she wiped her puffy red eyes.
"Yes, our Queen Bee to the rescue for that one," Morgana chimed in, which made Marinette smile ever so slightly.
"The fact that our daughter was not the first, nor your last victim... you're not even human," Mr Wielder growled.
"Oh yes, I must thank you in part for that Mr Agreste," Morgana said as she looked over at the man, who seemed confused.
"Me?" he asked.
"Yes. Thanks to you using Lila to model your outfits at the red carpet and latest fashion reveal, people recognised her online. I managed to reach out and they were more than happy to give me details. You've got quite a list of victims in a lot of countries Lila. They've given statements and evidence," Morgana said.
"So many..." Aurore said to herself.
"I'm so sorry..." Greta said as she collapsed on the stage. She never meant to raise Lila to be like this. She worked long hours so that she could give Lila everything. Some people pitied the woman. Marinette herself went over and rubbed the woman's back softly.
"It isn't your fault," Marinette whispered. Greta was so overwhelmed and from the girl's kindness, she just gave her a hug, which Marinette gave back.
"I will not go out like this..." Lila said as the accusations and comments flew everywhere. Suddenly, the flash of purple caught her eye. Her eyes wandered up and there she saw her ticket. An akuma.
"Watch out!" Adrien yelled. No one could have predicted what happened next. Lila jumped towards the akuma with an open hand off of the stage.
"Come to me!" Lila said as she closed her hand around the akuma...only for it to phase right through her fist. People parted as Lila fell to the floor.
"Wait what?" Luka said in confusion as the akuma flew around in the air, not seeming to close in on anyone. Gabriel was the most confused. He hadn't sensed that akuma from a mile away. He was sure Nathalie didn't send it for Lila. He told her not to.
"Sorry for that everyone. I was testing something!" Morgana said loudly, bringing everyone's attention back to the stage. The black-haired girl was standing there, holding her tablet and what looked like to be a little laser pointer.
"What is that?" Miss Bustier asked after calming down her pounding heart.
"Just a little akuma projection from the technology department at my old school. I think we all saw how Lila responded to that," Morgana said as she placed the pointer in her pocket and tapped away at something on her tablet.
"Dude she just jumped right at it!" Nino yelled.
"She wanted to get akumatised!" Mireille accused.
"No! No! I tripped! I swear!" Lila said as she found herself being backed up against the stage by an angry crowd.
"Lila... this has to stop!" Adrien pleaded.
"What is that?" Kagami asked as a new clip was now playing on the screen. Everyone looked up as did Lila but she felt her heart drop when she recognised the encounter.
"I don't think it does. Now give me the phone. Or else I go out there crying and throw out a few accusations. Heck I might even bring Maritrash into this again. I don't think she could not stay expelled a second time," Lila said innocently.
"You wouldn't..." Adrien said in shock.
"That little..." Sabine hissed.
"I can't believe she'd do that to our little girl," Tom whispered.
"Why would you lie about that? Do have any idea what an accusation like that could do to someone who is innocent?" Aurore yelled.
He was then answered when she had pushed him up against a wall and had an arm pressed across his chest.
"Try me," she snarled.
"I will sue you to kingdom come! Expect a restraining order on top of it!" Gabriel said furiously.
Adrien said nothing but gave her his phone with a shaky hand. Lila snatched it off of him and logged onto Twitter. Opening a fresh page, she began her tweet.
"I saw that tweet. It was you?! You have caused so much damaged to my son and my life's work!" Gabriel yelled. His media team had to do major damage control.
"That caused such an uproar," Marinette mumbled. She saw that was a popular tweet, but she didn't respond to it of course. People were harsh enough on that tweet anyway.
"There. If that doesn't make them look petty, nothing will," Lila said as she tossed the phone back to the blond. He caught it and looked at the tweet, sighing as the notifications came pouring in.
"Is this necessary?" he asked.
"Yes. Now I suggest you leave or else something unfortunate might happen," Lila said with a dark look.
"Fine," Adrien said quietly as he quickly left the room.
Lila stood there by herself, thinking to herself. She felt a breeze on her cheek and turned her attention to the blue feather in the room.
"Perfect timing," Lila said with a grin. She reached up and plucked the feather out of the air and placed it on the chess piece.
"No..." Alya choked out.
"You... grabbed it... on purpose?!" Kagami yelled out.
"Mayura, Hawkmoth, what took you so long?" Lila asked with a smile as the blue mask appeared on her face.
"You've done this before?!" Greta shrieked.
"Ask and you shall receive. I am more than happy to bring down those two heroes. They don't deserve such power," Lila sneered.
"You threatened our heroes?!" Aurore shouted. More people started to yell now. Adrien and Marinette were horrified. Did she hate them that much?
"Thank you. The pleasure is all mine," Lila said as a blue coat covered the object in her hand. Soon enough a figure emerged from the piece.
"That chess akuma was you?" Mylene shouted.
"How could you do that?!" Ivan bellowed.
"It's faked! That isn't really me!" Lila yelled back.
"Oh, don't worry about that. I asked some very willing people to verify it for me. Officers!" Morgana called. As if on cue, a swarm of officers came in, two of which grabbed Lila and cuffed her.
"Unhand me! Do you know who I am?!" Lila shrieked.
"Lila Rossi, you are under arrest for aiding a terrorist," Officer Raincomprix declared as he came up. "Thank you for the tip and footage Morgana. I didn't believe it until I saw it."
"Not a problem," Morgana said.
"You set me up!" Lila accused.
"Guilty," Morgana said as she raised a hand.
"You did what?" Marinette asked in shock.
"See, after finding out about your victim trail, I had a feeling that I was missing something about you. So, I planned a little test for my theory. That day when you followed Adrien, I dropped my chess piece on purpose. Even if you didn't akumatise yourself, I assumed you would plant it on Marinette and accuse her of stealing it from me," Morgana stated.
"Well... not a bad guess on your part," Marinette admitted.
"So, while you met Adrien in the bathroom, I took a gamble and hid in the locker room in one of the lockers and recorded the whole thing. It was a fair assumption that Ladybug would realise that her lucky charm would lead to me and that it was my piece. She keeps tabs on everyone, she's nice like that," Morgana said.
"You can't record me! I didn't give consent!" Lila yelled back.
"Oh, but you did. When I asked if I could ever film you for my blog, you all consented. I just didn't specify when I was recording you," Morgana said with a shrug.
"So what? It's not like they can put me away forever! I'm a minor!" Lila said. Delusion at its finest.
Morgana shrugged and merely pointed to the ceiling above her. Everyone looked up and squinted their eyes to see a small camera there. Morgana held out her hand and the camera dropped from the ceiling and fell into her palm. The presentation screen then changed as it linked itself to the newly revealed camera. Morgana jumped down from the stage and walked to the liar with the camera pointed at her, which displayed her face.
"True. On the chances you don't go to prison, this camera has been recording the entire presentation show. Actually, it's live streaming. Thanks to some connections, more than a million people are watching. You're even trending. Hashtag LiarRossi," Morgana said.
"What?" Lila squeaked.
"Congratulations Lila. Your lies have made you famous. Well, infamous really. Everyone knows who you are now. But I'm sure you know something about me now," Morgana said with a smile as the green glint came in her eyes.
"I don't like liars."
