3 hours and $937 later, we were finally leaving Target. We had bought a crib, rocking chair, diapers, wipes, a pack of bottles and pacifiers and Rose went ahead and bought a breast pump. It was expensive, but every time we bought something for the baby, it became more real. I couldn't wait to see what my baby looked like, better yet, who my baby looked more like. "What do you want for dinner?", Rose asked, bringing me from my thoughts.
"Do we have the stuff for spaghetti?", I asked as I put the boxes and bags in the car. We had to get the crib and rocking chair delivered since we didn't have room in my car. I got in and buckled my seatbelt.
"We don't have any sauce.", She replied as she looked at her phone.
"Okay. What do you think about grabbing pizza for dinner?", I asked.
"Ugh. That sounds sooo good!", She said. "I'll call it in. What kind do you want?".
"Medium Three Meat with extra sauce.", I told her as she dialed Pizza Hut. I smiled at her as she ordered my pizza then proceeded to order a large for herself along with cinnamon sticks. She confirmed the order and hung up.
"It'll be at the house in about 30 minutes.", she told me as I stopped at a red light. I smiled over at her, admiring her.

"I'm so ready for February.", She stated. And I felt the same. It felt like it was forever away, but in reality, it was only 5 months.

"It's tiring to grow a human. You got the easy job.", She joked as she sat up. I grabbed the bags and we headed into the house.

I watched as Rose laid on the doctor's bed. Today was the day that our baby's gender would be confirmed.

The doctor knocked on the door and walked in, smiling at us. "Good morning. I hear you're feeling much better, Rosalie?".

The doctor put the gel on and began the ultrasound. I smiled, hearing the heartbeat get louder as she moved the wand. "The heartbeat is strong, going at 150 beats per minute.", She moved the wand. "That is your baby's arms and hands. That's the face.", she moved the wand down and pointed to the screen. "And those right there are your daughter's labia. You're having a baby girl.", She smiled at us.
I watched as Rose's eyes filled with tears. "We're having a little girl.", I smiled, kissing her head. I wiped her tears as we took in the news. "You were right.".
The doctor printed off the ultrasound photos and wiped off Rose's stomach. She washed her hands and started typing on the computer. "The results from your glucose test are in. You don't have gestational diabetes! You're receiving lots of good news today!".
"It's a good day.", Rose smiled at her.
