Where Kari and the others are was the place Tai left them. A place covered in plains and simple japanese-theme house, same one back at their home.
Kari, along with the other so-called digidestined and the entire occupant in Gennai's house knew what had unfolding in the garden, just like Tai thought.
They had seen the sad scene and it had broken their hearts. Kari spent her entire days with them, wondering how to fix her mistakes and thus couldn't search her older brother who had ran away.
Kari hugged her knees as she pondered.
"Tai, I miss you, please come back..."
She really did miss him and her digimon can only look up at her from the girl's lap, purring in the form of a feline digimon.
Just as she was about to go inside, someone spoke from behind.
"Little one, what is on your mind?" Kari glanced from the corner of her eyes, seeing an older figure dressed in a white robe carefully approached her and standing beside her.
She pressed herself tightly to her chest and murmured, "I want Tai."
It was so small that he almost couldn't hear it and he was glad he can get closer but what he hated the most was the fact he couldn't give an answer she was hoping for.
"I know, little one."
"Do you think he would come back?" She looked up at him with a sliver of hope hanging in her eyes.
Gennai's eyes crinkled as he smiled at the young digidestined.
"Of course. Your big brother would come running with arms wide begging to hug you tightly once he saw you in a good health." Gennai said exaggeratingly.
Kari giggled, listening to the sound he made and looking back to the warm eyes he had.
"Thank you, Gennai."
The two stared at each other and smiled.
"Anytime, little one."
Gennai watched as Kari glanced the night sky, smiling happily without an ounce of doubt in her mind that her brother will come back.
Thinking back, Gennai realized she hadn't answered his question about what was on her mind. But, he guessed he didn't need one. A prophecy still being fulfilled by a boy and with hope, he wished that it would go according to the prophecy like what Azulongmon told him.
And time can only tell what will really happen.
