Months later...
"Bounty hunting is a great profession in the supernatural world." Red had told me when I asked him about it over our burger break from training. Our trainings over now. He told me that's the best he could teach me without experiencing everything myself. Bounty hunter is good for experience. Red said the best place to enlist in this sort of job was in Kouh, Japan. That it was crawling with supernaturals. That's exactly were I am now. Walking the night streets of the city. Great Red taught me how to distinguish one's aura using the little magic ability that this world gives humans. Human auras are simple while the supernatural have complexe ones.
Din had soon found himself downtown, standing in front of a bar table across from a generally normal-looking man. This man had black hair with golden bangs and a black goatee. He was wearing a suit. His aura was not human, and with what aura he could find, it almost seemed like this man was trying to hide it. Good thing his entire character seemed out of place. Well he did too, with his armor and all- but that's besides the point!
"So, you some sort of knight?" The mysterious man asked.
"You could call me that" Din replied. The man just smirked. "How about I buy a drink?"
"I know what you are."
The man leaned in, still smiling and asked "And what will you do with that information?"
"I'm looking for work."
The man looked slightly surprised by Din's answer and got up from his bar stool. "Will you come with me outside for a moment." Rather than being a question it was more of a command, non-the-less Din followed.
Outside behind the building they found themselves. "What type of job are you looking for exactly?" curiously the man asked. "Bounty hunting." Din steadily replied.
"How would you know I needed a bounty hunter?"
Din tilted his head slightly in an almost joking manner, "You look like someone who's to busy to deal with the small things."
The man chuckled, "You'd be correct!" He put his hand out for a hand shake. "Azazel, leader of the fallen angels."
"Din Djarin, bounty hunter."
"Welcome to the Grigori."
Din's first bounty- a mutant beetle- was hiding right outside of Kouh which was very convenient considering he had no mode of transportation beside his own two feet. He couldn't kill it. Azazel wanted it alive.
The designated location was a closed in grassy plain, surrounded by trees with a large pond in the middle, presumably a fishing spot. It stank of dried blood. Body parts littered the perimeter of the pond, most likely unlucky fishermen.
Din switched on his thermal vision and scanned the area. He found something. It was the beetle, and it was in the ground directly below him...
SHWOOMPH!!!
The gigantic beetle bursted out of the ground, chunks of rock and dirt going everywhere, and grabed the bounty hunter with is massive mandibles. As the beast tried to chomp down on him, Din grabbed his blaster. Before he could shoot the beetle, it gave up on eating him and chucked him into the pond making a big SPWOOSH!!! Din recovered just as the mutant beetle charged towards the pond screeching and scratching at him. The beetle was fast, quick, but Din was quicker. He yanked his blaster pistol from its holster and shot the monster twice in the leg. The monster triped up, falling on its face and skiding across the ground. Din blasted out of the water and into the sky using his jetpack. The monster was not going anywhere now. He quickly landed and tied up the beast and contacted Azazel using a device he'd given him called a "Phone." A magic circle appeared under the beetle and it was teleported away. One soon appeared under him and he too teleported away.
The hunter was teleported to Azazel's office where he sat at his desk. "Your money is in the briefcase there." he stated, pointing to said object. Din went too grab the case but Azazel continued, "I looked you up, you wanna know what I found? Nothing, absolutely nothing." Din just stared at him, hand still on the briefcase. "Another thing Din, I've never seen armor like that before, what is it?"
Din was hesitant to reply. "To answer your questions, I am- was part of an other worldly group called mandalorians. This is mandalorian armor, and I'm not from here. Thats the reason you couldn't find anything on me."
Azazel tilted back in his chair, hand on chin thinking about Dins answer. "Hmm, since you just arrived I suppose you don't have a place to stay do you?"
Well the dimensional gap came to the mandalorian's mind but Red never gave him a way yo contact him so... Yeah he had no place to stay. Red would probably contact him soon anyway.
So Din answered "No I don't."
With a big smile Azazel happily replied with "We have spare rooms here at the Grigori. Find you one and settle in."
Din was surprised. "Are you sure? We've only known each other for about an hour and a half."
"We need the trust each other as business partners, I think this is a good way to do that! Besides instead of buying a house with your money, you can now spend it on things you need- like girls!!!" With that Azazel called a secretary to help Din find his new room. He was definitely not going to waste his hard earn money on girls! What was Azazel thinking. That guy. No, on his to Kouh he saw a advertisement for a "Motorcycle." It looked like a Swoop speeder bike, but with wheels. 'Yeah, thats a good investment.' Din thought. 'I'll go see about it tomorrow.'
