"Good morning, students, I have talked personally with Headmaster and he agrees with me that the best school in Europe must have a Duelling Club. Those who are interested in learning more about Duelling shall contact their fellow Prefects."
The class in front of Harry cheered.
Harry then announced, "Now our class has come to an end, you all may exit the class. All of you, except Mr Black."
Regulus Black nodded as his classmates exited the class.
"Regulus."
"Professor."
"I know that you are not the best of friends with your House, except Mr Snape, who has his issues to deal with. Severus has already informed me that you are being bullied by Mr Lestrange, Mr Lestrange and Miss Black, from your own House, and Mr Potter and Mr Black, from Gryffindor. Normally, I would have taken you to Professor Slughorn, but I know how is it like to be bullied by your mates. You may contact me for the issue, or any other issue you have."
Regulus Black nodded as he said, "As you say, Professor."
Harry smiled and said, "Don't be nervous about anything to me, Regulus, your eyes do not hide anything from me."
Regulus smiled back and exited the class. As soon as he left, Harry sighed.
"Sirius, dad, what are you thinking by bullying?"
_
"Sonorous" Harry amplified his voice for everyone to hear, especially the students who think the war going on is a joke (Harry would have coughed mockingly and said the name of any Malfoy if it was his time).
"Boys and Girls, today is the first session of the Duelling Club at Hogwarts. For those who have joined us here know that the world outside is not all rainbows and flowers." He looked pointedly at a few Gryffindor and Hufflepuff girls who were passing by.
Harry continued, "In these Dark days when Death Eaters are rampaging homes and killing people here and there, I thought that why not start at the beginning. To teach the next generation a lesson or two about defence against danger."
"For that, you all must train. To save your own skins in these dangerous times. I am not saying to study as your life depends on it, but you all must learn because your life does depend on it. I am not saying to only become an Auror or Healer or something like that, but remember these spells to save your own hide."
Harry concluded to lighten up the spirits, "And remember: Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon, especially a female Hungarian Horntail whose eggs are nearby."
Harry looked at everyone and announced, "To demonstrate how a duel could be like, I introduce you all my partner in this club and the Official Head of the Club, my friend here."
Harry's best friend walked on the raised platform.
The Hall broke into whispers. Harry stomped his foot on the ground as he heard some inappropriate sayings about Hermione.
He coughed, at least now Harry knew why Umbitch did that, and announced, "For all of you, Madam Granger and I will perform a duel."
Hermione looked at him and smirked. She spoke for the first time in her proud and sweet voice, "Before we duel, I would like to speak a few rules about Duelling."
"First of all, no spells that will result in lasting damage."
Sirius Black and Severus Snape looked at each other and groaned.
"Secondly, you have to now to your opponent to respect them and inform that you will respect the conditions laid down for the duel."
A couple of hands raised up.
"Yes?" Harry asked.
Davey Gudgeon spoke, "Why do Duels have rules? They are basically fights."
Harry informed everybody, "Yes, conditions can be laid down by opponents like the no-contact rule. And another rule that has to be followed is that the people who are entitled to Duel cannot be interrupted unless they lose."
Sirius Black asked, "So we can hit opponents?" He was eyeing Severus Snape.
Harry called out, "If agreed by all who are Duelling."
Sirius pouted as Severus grinned at the information.
Harry called out, "Okay, now if everything is clear, we are starting the Duel."
Harry and Hermione looked at each other and moved back to a couple of feet away from the edge of the platform
They swished their wands out of their holsters and looked at each other in the eye.
Harry used his advantage in the situation.
'As soon as he bows, I will stun him because we both know that he is better at Dueling than me. If he dodges it, I will transfigure the stage to ice. Or if that fails . . .' Hermione continued planning in her mind, not applying Occlumency against him.
Harry looked in the future seeing the possibilities with his Inner Eye. Xylomancy was a useful subject if you have a great instructor.
Harry smirked and bowed at the same time as Hermione and started casting non-verbal spells. These spells with his creativity and the power of Elder Wand and his magical core had already resulted in his win and it would be done now or a couple of minutes later.
James Potter stared at the Professor of DADA he liked the most, even though he is not theoretically good in the subject.
Granger turned the floor to ice for her first move as Evans jumped in the air and reversed her spell.
James blinked.
Evans was pushed into defensive as Granger started to take her advantage as she pushed into offensive.
James blinked again.
Granger broke through Evans' shield but Evans cast another shield and he took out something.
James squinted to see what it was, like everyone nearby. He gasped as he saw that it was another wand.
Two wands were practically unheard of. He would have to contact father and mother, they would like to hear about it.
Evans fought with two wands as Granger kicks into a defensive stance.
Professor Evans had defeated Madam Granger in all but fifteen minutes.
