"Cohen?! What are you doing here! You was suppose to arrive on Sunday!"

"Oh, I came to surprise you but I am the one surprised"

And he left the room

And Summer goes behind him but her legs are too short compared to his long ones so she has to take her heels off and run behind him and it is not until he is fighting with the car keys that she catch him and touch his arm but he is so mad that he steps back from her and that's when Summer knows that she has screwed up very big and she feels her eyes getting watery.

"Please Seth, let me explain"

"What it is that you have to explain Summer? You clearly decided to go behind my back and not told me about this" Seth's look is one of pure sadness and Summer feels her heart breaking a little because she never wanted Seth to look at her in that way "I just, I wanted to surprise you Summer and I wanted to dance with you and tell you how much I love you but you clearly were not thinking of me"

"No Seth, it's not that. Let me tell you the story please" Seth doesn't say a word he just opens the door of the passenger seat of his car and he goes to the other side so Summer gets into the car and close the door, turning to face him and once he is inside he takes a deep breath and then turns to face her "OK, first I have to say how sorry I am that you are feeling this in this exact moment that had to be happy for us but I want to explain, please"

And Seth can't say no to Summer, it's impossible for him so he lets her explain.

"On Wednesday Zach came to the hallway and told me that even if he does not have curly hair and is less neurotic than you that if I really wanted to have a date to dance at the ball that he would come with me as a friend and, well, I know I should have said no or at least wait until I talked to you but, you know me Cohen, I am a little bit spoiled and used to always have my way and that was a way of having what I wanted" she looks at his eyes and feels tears comes to hers when she still sees hurt and anger "I wanted to tell you on Thursday while we were talking but you were so excited about the day you had with your Nana that I didn't wanted you to get mad for nothing. I promise you it was nothing"

Seth gives her a hug but he has to make a difficult decision because he thinks Summer has betrayed him so he needs to express his feelings.

"Summer, you know how neurotic I am and that's for a very valid reason, because people has always make me feel insecure and like I was nothing but a piece of shit so I need you to talk to me about this things. I don't know if I would have been ok with you going with Zach, probably I would have said yes because I knew I was going to surprise you. Help me with this Sum, we need to talk about this shit"

Summer gives him a peck on the lips

"Ok Cohen, I suppose I sometimes forgot how you can be and how your past still is affecting your present and I am sorry. Can we please go to the ball and dance and try to forget about this?"

"You go, I need to talk to someone first" Summer looks at him with fear because she has a feeling that the one he has to talk to is Zach "Don't worry, you know I don't like violence"

"Are we…are we ok?"

"We would be, maybe it would take a little time for me to be totally ok with this but tonight I want to dance with you and feel that you are besides me"

So Summer goes back to the ball and in the way there she sees Marissa talking with DJ and taking him to the dance floor and once inside she sees Julie sends a murderous look at her daughter and her boyfriend and she also sees Ryan and Lindsay whom has the happiest grin on her face and is dressed in a cute lavender dress with a flower in her head that is the same as the one Ryan is wearing. Summer doesn't see Zach so she suppose that he went outside and would now be talking with Seth.

Marissa notices Summer and excuse herself to DJ so she could go talk to her best friend whom is alone and wearing a sad face as an ornament of her outfit.

"Sum? Are you ok?"

Marissa has been outside through all of the first part of the ball so she didn't saw what happened so Summer tells her.

"And now he is outside talking with Zach and I have no idea what they are talking about and I don't know if I would still have a boyfriend tomorrow. Shit"

Marissa hugs Summer and Summer let a few tears fall into Marissa's shoulder.

"Seth loves you to the moon Summer, I am sure that he would just be upset for a couple of days and then you would go back to being the annoyingly cute couple you were"

And those words help Summer to calm down so she dance a little with DJ, Marissa, Ruak and Lindsay while waiting for Seth who was outside looking for Zach and he found him on a bench of the school, overlooking the backyard.

"I am sorry about what happened with Summer, I was just trying to be a good friend for her because she was upset of going alone to the ball"

"That's bullshit Zach and you know it. I remember what you told me the first time we met and how you feel about Summer and even if I trust Summer with my life, I can't help but get jealous when I look at you and then I see myself in the mirror and think how the hell is she still with me?"

Zach looks into Seth's eyes and see how scared and neurotic he has been about this but he can't lie to him.

"Ok, yes, of course I like Summer, she is hot and funny and her personality just drive me crazy but man, I want my girlfriend to be mine and to think just about me and with Summer, that would never be the case Seth, she is so in love with you that she would never love anyone else so I just want us to be friends and see her happy. It's just a crush Seth"

"Just, it's just that I can't believe that she can choose me over you for example. What can she see in me that she doesn't see in you?"

"Who knows Seth? She probably prefers skinny to muscled or curly hair and Jewish appearance. Of maybe, apart from all of that, she also likes that you are smart, funny, sarcastic, creative and romantic because man, you did some very romantic things that we can't even imagine to do"

So Zach tells Seth that he would never have Summer because she is his friend's girl and because she would never love him as much as she loves Seth so they return to the dance where Zach goes with his mates that are there with some girls ans Seth goes to Summer that is still talking to Marissa.

"I am back so Sum, you wanna dance now that I am here?"

Summer takes Seth's hand and goes with him to the middle of the damce floor to dance and while she is on Seth's arms she sees Marissa arguing with Julie and Dj no where to be founf and she also sees Lindsay and Ryan dancing on the right side of the gym.

"Ryan seems so in love, are they that serious?"

"Ryan seems pretty in love with her, maybe not as much as when he was with Marissa but this relationship is healthier I think. She has no drama and is a very sweet girl. I like her" Summer glares at him "I like her but not as much as I like Marissa, you know that even if we act weird around the other she is one of my best friends"

Summer smiles and gives her a sweet kiss on the cheek and Seth just press her tightly against him and they keep dancing.

But a couple of days later Summer is out of her mind with worry and anger because he hasn't called her or talked to her. She knows that he is still a little bit hurt but that much that he can't even talk to her?

The thruth is that Seth has been talking with Ryan non stop about this issue and Ryan is getting impatient because he has a very important date with Lindsay and he doesn't have time.

"Seth, why don't you go there and make peace with Summer? I know you were hirt but right now you just miss her and want to tell her about our trip and about going with us tomorrow to pick the Nana from the airport"

"Yes, that's true, I also want to ask her opinion about working on the bait shop. You know, because of what Nana said about me growing up by knowing what it is to work hard and in that way I would probably have VIP access, what do you think?"

"I told you that you should work there IF YOU WANT just if you want to work and have your own money and not because our grandmother said that"

Suddenly Seth realize what Ryan had said and he looks weardly at him.

"Just, don't talk about it, I would probably have to talk to you about this soon but not know, I have an important date with Lindsay so please…Go to Summee and leave me alone"

"Oh yes, first time having sex after two months! Go for it tiger!"

Ryan chuckle and get Seth out of the pool house. They are in the middle of Dicember and Lindsay and him has been dating for a little over two months and she wanted to wait to have sex with him, they have done some things but she wanted to wait a little more and today her mom is out of town so Ryan would stay.

Seth takes the skate to Summer's house because Ryan needs to go father to Lindsay's house while Summer lives just ten minutes away so he takes the skate and his MP3 and get into a good mood with his music. When he arrives he notices Marissa's car in the driveway before ringing the bell. The maid opens the door and smiles at Seth because after ten months of dating Summer she is very used to his presence in the house.

"Hi Mina, how are you doing?"

"I am doing just fine Mister Seth. Go up to Summer's room, she is there with Misses Marissa"

Seth goes upstairs and listen to the conversation that Summer is having with Marissa because they are talking very loudly.

"I just don't get it. The othee night after our argument he was very sweet and we were ok! What happened now?"

Before Marissa can answer Seth enters the room and says "I just needed a couple of days to think and calm down before coming to see you, I am sorry that you freaked out. I love you so much to give up so soon"

Summer stands up and hit Seth's chest multiple times "You scared me Cohen, I thought you were going to break up with me"

Marissa smiles and gives Summer a kiss on the cheek and squeeze Seth's arm "I am leaving, I have a date with DJ. Glad to see you Seth. Sum would be at Christmukkah's eve dinner right?"

"Of course she will, she's not spending it alone with her stepmother"

When Marissa leaves Summer and Seth lay on Summer's bed, the girl has her head on Seth's chest and they are holding hands while talking about everything that happened between them and when Seth tells her again about his insecurities Summer straddle his hips and kiss her on the mouth.

"I am with you because you are a great kisser" she once again kiss her mouth again, their tongues having a contest before Summer's surrending to Seth's and after a while she kiss his neck and ear "I am with you because I love your perfume and your clothing style"

Summer then takes Seth's sweater off and kiss his chest and caress the little hair that he has there "I am with you because I find you attractive, so much that I gave you my virginity" and Seth is finding Summer's arguments very convincing and that's why he grabs her by the waits and turn them around so she is the one at the bottom. He kiss her deep and passionately before removing her top and finding her braless "I also love you because you are passionate as much as romantic and because I love when you are speechless every time we make love"

And love they make because Seth is sure that this girl is the girl of his dream, the girl that would one day be his wife and the mother of his children and he can't wait to have their first Cheistmukkah together as a couple and sharing the happiness that holiday brings to him with her.
