AN: Hi! And..HI! I already said hi, :). I'm so SO sorry for the late update! Just wanna address a few things, here. I KNOW Twin-Speak is lame, and probably way too Mary-Sue for anyone's taste, but it will be useful in the war to come. And I won't give them mind-reading or a phoenix animagus- strike that, I kinda want to- Nope! Not doing! Draco's thoughts in Astra' mind will be italics and bold.

I ALSO know Dorea and Charlus Potter are not actually James' parents(his parents are Fleamont and Euphemia Potter), but for the goddamn sake of my story voila, they will be. So suck on that canonists! Another thing to address, no Drarry(which would be Driris)! Honestly, that's seriously plain no-no(incest = ewww)..and I know Evil!Dumbledore stories suck - he's not evil, just way too manipulative in doing what he thinks is the "Greater Good" for the Light.

Also also, I just want you people to know that Dumbles actually only finds out about Astra in two 1/2 months - I want her to adjust, see? Anyways right now for I, it is September, meaning she found the Mal-people in July! And HONESTLY REVIEW do you like the story?

I have a few questions, but those best be asked at the end of the chappie, not the beginning.

Year One: Calm Before The Storm

Chapter 6

Astra had been at Malfoy Manor for two months already, and it was safe to say she'd enjoyed every second of it. Her weekdays were spent studying with Draco and learning magic. Her weekends were filled with visits from Daphne, Blaise, and..UGH, Pansy. Astra had formed a..trio of sorts with Blaise and Draco.

Daphne was a good friend, but they had their own best friends thing. Her, Draco and Blaise..they were like a team. The day she figured that out was just three weeks after her adoption. Blaise had mentioned something about their Twin-Bond, and then Astra had quite the interesting idea..

Monday, their History tutor, Fraxinus Fawley, came. Fawley was a right meanie. Draco and Astra had met him for the first time a week ago, and he had wrinkled his nose at them. "I thought your children would be..ah, more..impressive." Draco had glared at him and Astra had too.

Inside, she was boiling for revenge. She told Draco this and he looked at her with a frown. "But Astra, what can we do?"

And she'd thought about it for days and days and days until Blaise's light comment sparked a light bulb in her head. "Oh!"

And when Fawley arrived, Astra thought of Draco. Narcissa said they could communicate through thoughts, right..? Draco, she thought. Draco's head jerked up.

"W-what?" He asked.

Fawley looked at him icily. "Mr Malfoy, is something wrong?"

Draco quailed under his expression. "N-no sir.."

"Then I'd appreciate you keep your mouth shut and let me continue my lecture." Fawley informed him.

Astra seethed. How dare that stupid jerk insult her brother? Well now she definitely wanted revenge! Draco, it's Astra. Twin-Bond, 'member? Don't say anything or stupid Fawley will notice. Try thinking something back. She hoped it would work..and sure enough, she watched Draco scrunch up his face and look at her. Astra? She nodded at him and grinned.

Yes, it's me.

How..

Remember? Mother, she said that we could read each other's thoughts.

This is totally AWESOME!

I know!

Oh I have an idea!

What's it, Dray?

'Member Father said Gimency can let people see our minds?

Yeah, he said Dumbface can do it.

Dumbface?

Dumbledore.

Ah. Here, Draco nodded wisely and the conversation continued.

So continuuuuuueee.

We should make up CODE WORDS!

Did you like, watch a Muggle spy movie or something?

A Muggle what?

Never mind.

My code name could be Dragon because that's what my name means.

What's mine then, oh sweet Dragon?

Shut up.

What IS it?

Uh..Flower?

Laaaame.

Shut up.

You already tried shutting me up, Dragon.

FINE how about Princess.

I think you've gone as insane as Aunt Bella, Dragon.

OK, can I change my nickname? It sounds unclean from your mouth..

I thought it was your code name.

Fine! My CODE name!

Nope, sir Dragon. It has been chosen!

I'm picking yours, Princess Greeneyes.

Noooo, Dracooooooo, pleaaaaaase..

Princess Greeneyes it is! But just cuz I'm REALLY NICE it can be Princess sometimes for short.

Wait, can't we just learn Cumency to block Gimency from our minds?

Who cares? We have CODE NAMES!

This really isn't helpful, they'd already KNOW our names if they read our minds!

PLEAAAAAAAAASE?

Hmm..

PLEEEEEEEAAAAASE?

Eh...no.

WHY?!

Just kidding.

I hate you.

You love me. Dragon.

And you love me, Prin-cess Greeneyes.

"Malfoys!" Fawley barked. "What did I just say?!"

"Uh.."

"Something about a..Goblin Rebellion?" Astra tried.

"Nice try," Fawley snarled. "But perhaps if you two lumps that barely classify as humans paid attention, you'd know the answer."

Now Astra was REALLY mad. She wanted revenge. A little smirk came on her face. "I need to use the bathroom, sir, I will be back." She curtsied and left the room. She found her father in his study and said in a meek voice, "Father?"

Lucius looked at her with adoration. "Yes, Astra?"

"Mr-Mister Fawley is being mean!" Astra gave a pitiful cry, and tried to seem as scared as possible. Lucius rose in anger. How dare he! "Come along," he stood up swiftly and marched towards the study room. He stormed in. "Fraxinus!" His robe waved as his eyes glittered. Astra trailed behind him. She felt Draco's thoughts prodding at her. She let him in.

Why's Father here?!

Draco, isn't it obvious? We're getting our revenge on Fawley.

Oh, yeah. That jerk deserves it.

"Yes, Lord Malfoy?" Fawley whispered. Astra took wicked delight at the expression of fear on his face. Oh how she wanted to make him suffer.. Unfortunately, she couldn't. She'd have to simply laugh cruelly instead. Draco followed up with a delighted cackle of his own. Astra remembered a rhyme she'd heard from one of Dudley's cartoons.

Shame, shame, puppy shame, all the donkeys know your name!

It definitely applied, to Fawley, who looked like he might wet himself.

"You have been mistreating my children." Lucius did not state it as a question.

"Yes, I am sorry, Lord Malfoy.." Fawley bowed.

"I am higher on the Wizengamot..Higher politically..stronger..What would our Lord say?" Lucius hissed.

"No..do not..please, Lord Malfoy.." Fawley knelt.

Astra didn't know what was going to happen.

She watched Lucius smile evilly as he spoke softly, waving his wand. "Silencio."

Fawley was begging silently. "No, please no, stop, no.."

Astra was watching with a sickening fascination. Draco next to her was looking disgusted, yet still leaned closer.

"Crucio."

"AH! NO!" Fawley was screaming wordlessly. Astra felt pleasure, sickening pleasure at the sight of the man before her writhing in pain. "I want to try." She didn't know when she said it. All she knew was that she wanted to take part in this, she wanted to be the one with so much power at her fingertips...

Lucius stopped.

He unsilenced Fawley.

He put a Muffling charm on the room.

She pulled out her wand and repeated the words she had heard from Lucius. "Crucio!"

Nothing.

She tried again, this time anger flooding through her. How dare this stupid, stupid man belittle her and Draco?

How dare he?

A feeling of calmness surged through her. She closed her eyes, but she could still see him in her mind's eye.

"Crucio."

And then Fawley screamed and screamed and screamed.

Things were relatively normal for the next few days. History of Magic was taught by Lucius and Draco and Astra were actually learning. After three days, Lucius announced he had found a new History tutor. "His name is Thorfinn Rowle." "He's better than Fawley, yeah?" asked Astra uncertainly. "Yes."

Thorfinn arrived the next day. Astra and Draco took to him immediately, Astra dubbing him "Uncle Thorfy" upon his arrival. Later, Thorfinn would confide to Lucius that he'd never had children, and didn't really know how to be cuddly, or sweet. Lucius would tell him he must have something paternal to him if his children liked him so.

Astra and Draco were in the middle of Transfiguration when the doorbell rang.

"Ah! Professor Dumbledore, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" Narcissa's voice rang loudly through the house. Lucius, who was their Transfiguration teacher currently, gasped and then looked at the twins, horror-struck. "Children, follow me and look as proud as possible. Astra, stay strong. He may want to take you from us.."

Astra followed her father out the room, Draco trailing behind her.

Albus couldn't contain his smirk as he watched Narcissa Malfoy's eyes widen and dart around wildly. "Ah! Professor Dumbledore, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" Her voice was nervous as she loudly asked him the question. Her face was stoic, but he wasn't called a master Legilimens for nothing. He could tell she was terrified out of her wits.

He saw the Malfoy patriarch walk in, two children trailing behind him, and he sucked in a breath. Iris Potter looked just like her mother, even if the Malfoys had dyed her hair. He felt triumph. They could not take her heritage from his little pawn.

Then he saw the expression on her face and any feelings of triumph were replaced with that of horror. She looked so proud, so powerful..so strong. So not what he wanted for her! He took a deep breath and schooled his expression into that of anger. "Let's cut to the chase, shall we? You have kidnapped Iris Potter and I demand you return her to the safety of her relatives at once!"

"Kidnapped?" Lucius Malfoy raised an eyebrow. "No Dumbledore, she came willingly."

Albus ignored him and focused his attention on the young Potter. "Iris," he tried his best to sound grandfatherly. "I never wished to tell you this..the truth..but the Malfoys are a Dark family..I mean..they worked for the man who murdered your parents. I am so sorry."

The girl glared at him. "You stupid old man, I know that, I don't care! Where were you when Dudley was beating me up and stealing my things, huh? Where were you when my Uncle locked me in a cupboard?" She cried. "Siting in your god-awful office and bloody eating lemon drops!"

Albus looked at her, trying to convey his "sadness". "I'm sure you're exaggerating, my girl! And Iris, I must remove you from here, it's for your own protection-"

"I am NOT your girl! Leave me alone!" She yelled. The young Malfoy heir next to her yelled as well. "Yeah, you leave her alone!"

Lucius looked at Albus angrily. "Dumbledore, I think it's time to leave." "The Wizengamot will hear about this, Lucius!" Albus cried. "And I will return Iris to her rightful family!"

Lucius shut the door, and Astra began to cry.

In case you didn't know already, yes, the Malfoys will be a lot Darker than they were in canon, and Lucius and Voldy will have much more of an amiable relationship than they did in canon. I'm sorry if this seems juvenile, or lame, or childish, or bad writing. Please, give it a chance, give me advice and I can improve my story! And if anyone was willing to beta read this, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!
