Chapter 31

Dragon

Notes: I apologize for making you guys wait for the new chapter. I am kind of busy with my fyp. Sorry. Hope you guys like this new chapter.

I ignored Granger glare and keep doodling in my Charms textbook. Hey! It's my own textbook ok? Why does I get partner with Granger? Urgh! Annoying.

Nott and Zabini just smirked seeing me suffered sitting with 'know-it-all'. I yawned and listen to Professor Flitwick lecture with bored face.

"Ok, that's all for today. Don't forget 2 feet essay about what we learn today." Professor Flitwick said with cheerful. I quickly went to walk besides Zabini and Nott, leaving Granger that keep glaring at me.

"What did you do? Because Granger looks like want to kill you." Zabini asked with interest. Nott lips twitchs, struggling to stop laughing at me.

"Oh. Who knows." I said with a smirk.

"Oh, come on." Zabini tried to persuade me to tell him. Nott just shook his head seeing our interaction.

At Gryffindor table.

"You should stop glaring at him, Hermione." Longbottom spoke softly so no one will be able to hear their conversation other than Harry.

"Do you know he keep doodling on his textbook!" Granger complained. Harry sighed and continue to eat broccoli with chicken.

"Will you calm down, Hermione? As long as he get an excellent result, I don't think all of its matter." Harry spoke with a tired tone.

At Slytherin table.

I chose to eat sandwich with fries and a glass of apple juice.

"So, what do you want to do this evening?" Nott asked me, sipping the orange juice.

My eyes twitchs seeing Zabini ate the spaghetti elegently. Pureblood. I thought, rolling my eyes.

"Not sure yet. What about you, Theo? Blaise?" I ate chocolate pudding for dessert. After lunch, we went to History of Magic class and of course I did not pay any attention to it. I kept doze off while Nott already fell asleep.

"Yeah, finally!" I said after the class came to end.

I went to find Harry and Longbottom so that we can play a set game of chess. I wonder where they disappeared. Hm. My last attempt was Library and I walked through the other students until I find the table at the corner.

"Harry!" I called quietly. Longbottom, Harry and Granger turned their head, startles seeing me.

"My, my. Doing something illegal, aren't you?" I smirked.

"Of course not!" Granger huffed at me. My eyes flashed with a shocked.

"Is that a book about Dragon?" I suddenly remember that Hagrid got a dragon egg.

"Ahha..yup." Longbottom coughed.

"Why?" I asked, even though I knew what it was all about. They panicked, trying to find an excuse. I sighed. If I end up digging their secret too much, someone might get heart attack. Ok, not someone more like Longbottom.

"Is this about Hagrid?" I looked at them, one by one.

"Yes. Can you keep quite about it?" Harry plead with his puppy eyes.

"What will you give me in return?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at them.

Granger face turned red while Longbottom and Harry stuttered trying to say something.

"Just kidding." I said. "By the way, you guys should inform Hagrid that it is too dangerous to take care of Dragon inside his..house." I added, trying to find a nice word.

"Why is that?" Harry asked with curious.

"That's because Dragon can grow up faster than human." I said and left before they were trying to say something.

Next morning, I saw the golden trio on my way to Library and decided to go to Hagrid's Hut.

Knock! Knock!

"Ethan!" Harry said, opening the door to his friend.

"So, where is the Dragon?" I asked bluntly at Hagrid.

"What? How do you know?" Hagrid asked, shocked.

Granger glared at me while Longbottom just looked worried.

"Ah, why don't you ask this three?" I said, smiling 'innoncently' at them. All of them glared at me.

"By the way, you should send that Dragon to somewhere else." I interrupted whatever they want to say.

Hagrid looked horrified. "No! I cannot do that."

"You must, Hagrid. Dragon are not a pet that you can grow up in this Hut." I said with stern.

"I agree with, Ethan." Granger said, frowning at Hagrid. She already read a book about it. Dragon can easily grew up fast.

It took some time to convince Hagrid but in the end all of us managed to do it.
