I'm back! *apologies for my never ending laziness and schoolwork and the fact i'm working on this fanfiction and another one at the same time* The other fanfic is a Harry Potter Hunter x Hunter crossover (a wizard with hunters instead of wizards)
Again, i will be replying to your reviews that contain your views/predictions and suggestions here, so feel free to voice your thoughts out, i read every single review attentively to make sure i understood them:
sherry dark jewel: I also can't imagine how cute Gon looks like, glad you like it. Lucky you, this chapter is how the mission is carried, and yes, Gon will kill. However, he won't be a psychopath like Hisoka.
Born in the Next Generation: Yes, i made huge developments in chaper 8 because if the relationships between one another did not become better, the story will become boring, or i will lose inspiration and ideas. Also, it is true that I should put back some character's personalities on track, thw diversion was made to amend the relationships between Gon snd troupe members.
ElliJoFlow: I am so ecstatic that you liked my story and that you still think it's good even after the change of writer. (happy dancing *or rather, squirming* in bed because i am writing this chapter at 5 am cz i woke up unexpectedly, lol.
Nowwww back to the story
Once they arrived, Gon clutched his ridiculous rabbit and fluffed back his dress, releasing the little folds that formed on it when he sat. Then the mission began. Their goal was to take a famous jewel named Moon's tear drop sapphire. It is a very valuable and dashingly beautiful looking jewel.
They had to kill, and Gon knew that. He never killed, but he knows he can. He knew the guys who possess it currently want to make a copy from it and sell it for an insane amount of money. Maybe then he was sort of convinced to kill the man he will go against.
Fietan went to the strongest person in the tragets, Hisoka did not participate, and well... Gon had to find the face of the second strongest in the group of adversaries. He found him... a very bulky and muscular guy. He looked down on Gon and said mockingly "Hey, little girl. Are you lost? You better leave here before you die."
Gon then smirked, still standing carefreely "On the contrary, i am here where I have to be. How about a fight, who wins lives, who loses... well... he will be dead anyways so sho cares."
What would this brat be able to do? Absolutely nothing, it must be just a baseless threat. Though where she came with the courage to say those words i will not know. Fine, i will kill her quickly and end her. I dont have time for such a flimsy child. The man thought, a little worried about the half innocent half killer intent like face.
He forced himself to chuckle and the two began their fight. Hisoka, from the car, was watching amusingly. Feitan was not exerting half his full power, so he was able to concentrate on his opponent and Gon's fight.
The older man changed his open hands into fists, and launched one towards Gon's neck. The goal was to break the neck, and Gon is dead on spot. However, what the man was not expecting is that Gon held his fist, and lifted the whole man above him and threw him backwards, crashing on his front body. Gon turned to look at him with innocent curiosity, crouching near him and poking him "Oji- san, oji- san wake up."
Feitan had to not burst out laughing. Gon looked, knowing it was fake, like he had just seen his mother dead while thinking she is asleep. Then he just resumed his fight, finishing his opponent. While all the others almost were done, Gon was still taking it slow, sort of enjoying it. Finally, the man started stirring and woke up. He was half terrified, but he thought that the girl had limits and he will make her reach them.
Gon then summoned a copy of himself. He could kill the man without having to use Nen at all, but it would make it useless to have learnt it if not used. The copy went behind the man, and levitated. It, the copy, slashed a hand half a centimeter away from the man's back neck, freezing it way too much that it broke off on its own off the man's body... Not a single drop of blood trickled. His whole blood was now as if placed in a very low temperature freezer.
"Oh, gomen nasai! But, you should ne~ver try to test me. Ah, right. You are dead." Gon said with extra innocence on the last part that it seemed as if he did nothing.
They were all amazed, and rather baffled. Gon summoned a copy, and made his copy freeze the man's blood and more to the neck that it broke off without a trail of blood. Damn the boy was so scary at the moment.
"Gon, hurry up. We have to go back." Nobunaga said, still stiffling laughters at how ridiculous, but cute, Gon looked in a full little girl get up.
"Haiiii!" He replied childishly, to emphasise the child act on purpose. He sat back in Hisoka's lap, this time relaxing back on Hisoka's chest and dozing off slowly through the ride. Gon usually had an early bedtime, and it exhausted him if he does not get to bed on the exact usual time. They all had to peer at how cute he looked, no argument in that.
Hisoka held the sleeping little crossdresser to his room, not bothering to change him, and set him in his bed. The troupe had long learnt to build the bars on the sides of his bed, sometimes waking up due to a loud thud ringing through the very quiet base. Of course, while they have to lift him back up, he stays asleep. He has quite the heavy sleep, and nothing can wake him up unless it was his very accurate biological clock that is always late for breakfast.
Killua called Kurapika for the umpteenth time that day. They have been working on taking Gon back from those criminals. Killua in particular was afraid that they would hurt Gon, and no one could blame him. Who wouldn't think so when they saw their friend's fingers get broken one by one, get electrocuted, beaten and such. It was so painful, and when he was allowed to leave, he saw Gon for the last time, blank eyes, dark expression and all. That was not the Gon he knew, and he was going to save him.
"NO KILLUA NOT TODAY!" kurapika shouted as soon as he pressed the answer button, and directly closed the line. Killua was driving him mad. Yes, he did not want Gon to stay a minute more with those people, but being rash and rushed will ruin any chances of saving him. Even worse, they may also end up in the clutches of the Genei Ryodan, which is the last thing they want to be happening now...
They had been formulating and foolproof plan with Hisoka's help. Well, Hisoka did not help now, but way previously. Before Gon was taken, Kurapika met Hisoka with a deal to get the Nen powers of the Genei Ryodan members, and they were working on counterattacks or defense moves for each one of them. Until then, all they would try doing will be in vain.
Gon woke up the other day, feeling a twinge of guilt. He killed a man mercilessly yesterday. He never did that, it was his first kill, using Nen nonetheless, that does not matter though. His mind replayed the day Killua's neck was slashed in front of him. He vomited himself unconscious that day to wake up seeing Killua alive, neck stitched with those Nen threads belonging to Machi. Gon winced in remembrance, it annoyed him. He felt scared when he saw Killua's face when he said he had given up, when he heard Killua's begging him to stay firm and as optimistic as can be that they would actually release them when they get bored.
Gon did not move from his bed. Who cares about breakfast now? Not him... He was cooped up in the corner of the bed, hugging his knees and head buried in them as his body shook in quiet sobs and cries. Those people may have treated him well, but they still hurt him and his best friend badly... his best friend who never came back when he said he will take him.
The boy stayed in his room, he skipped breakfast. No one really bothered to check on him. They all know he usually oversleeps, and they think he just slept even more than usual... Though, he knew they will come to make sure he is okay or wake him up if he got late for practice. But damn he did not give a shit about that. If they saw him cry it is okay, if they saw him sad they will not care. Hopefully. He hoped they would not try make him feel cared for. He did not want to be given affection from them.
Gon lost himself in his train of thoughts, not realizing when his body slouched and fell on the bed, still curled up, to the side instead of staying seated, and drowned in unconsciousness. God damn his life... his idioticness, his childish nature, his want to follow his father who abandoned him, his happy go lucky lifestyle that ended him here... Why did i ever want to find the man who did not want me? he thought in the back if his mind
Feitan went to Gon's room an hour after breakfast when he had not shown up, ready to give him an earful of learning to wake up eariler, and maybe give him a slap on the head to have his gain back his consciousness.
First thing Feitan entered to was the feeling of the immense aura surrounding Gon, but what sort of made him uncomfortable is that he could not see this aura. If he stepped wrong, he might get lashed at by the younger boy's Nen. Even worse, Gon was unconscious, so he can't ask him to calm down.
Second thing Feitan heard was low sniffling every now and then... The boy had been crying! No wonder he did not come down. The actual question here is why was he crying? What happened? Was it the previous day's occurrences? The crossdressing part maybe? He had no idea what was it that set the boy upset, and if he overstepped on something or another, what would happen to him?
Fietan sighed in defeat. He was not going to risk anything, even of it was breaking Kuroro's order, to wake the child up. He put his hands in his pockets and turned on his heels. The boy will wake up on his own, and when that happens, he will scold him properly. They may have treated him with with a somehow lean way, but this should be over. They will not keep specializing his presence because they are afraid he will commit suicide or run away. He can't run away, but he can kill himself. If he did so, then the boy was obviously not competent enough to join the Genei Ryodan.
Kuroro called Feitan to see what happened with him as he has yet to hear some kind of complaint or tantrum regarding the dresses.
"What has happened, Feitan? I did tell you to wake him up. Or was the order unclear?" Kuroro said, somehow looking bossy right now.
"I... warui ka (1)... boss. He was surrounded by aura like his first night. It was stronger, but quite composed unlike before. His Nen currently is manipulated by his emotions. He is considerably upset and he is the type to show an immense and unexpectedly dangerous aura when driven by his emotions. If i were to wake him up, I might get injured, or in the worst case, killed."
"And you went against my words because of this?" Kuroro said, frowning visibly. Feitan gulped hard. He angered the boss, and he would hope not to get punished...
"I told you to wake him up, and you failed to do such a simple task. Nazedesu (2)?" The boss said in a tone that sent the bravest, except Hisoka, trembling.
"..." Feitan had no answer. Despite him being heartless and pretty much emotionless, Kuroro was the only one who can try to- no, who knows- how to successfully intimidate him.
"You seem to be holding a word back. Spill it now, or else you may strike the innocent." Kuroro said, his threatening tone lessened a little.
"Boss, the boy does not belong here. He has emotion, and it will set us back. You expect us to treat him with fondness, even if fake, and softness. We are expected to please this boy because you believe he is strong. That makes no sense. Emotions take over him, this is going to bite us back, and hard. What if he becomes, miraculously, stronger than us and decides to kill us because he did not let go of his attachment to his friends? How would-" SLAP
Kuroro slapped Feitan with his Nen. Feitan's face shot to the side from the powerful and quite painful hit, no longer wanting to speak.
"You are suggesting to treat him coldly, or throw him out, or kill him, or lessen his training. You want to do that because you think the boy is stronger than you. You think i care? In here, people come and go, live and die, and who strives for the better position must earn it. If he did ever out power you, it means he has a very meaningful worth. He would never out power me, Feitan. He may be Ging's son, but he can never surpass his father. While i admit Ging is not someone i can mess with, i can get ahold of his son. See where the boy is now? With us."
Feitan stayed silent for a few moments before uttering "... Boss, Ging's son may not surpass his father, but he certainly might surpass you while staying way behind his father's powers. The boy is unstable. If we keep on treating him like you want us to, he will sense our attempts to keep him here. However, should we treat him coldly, he may try run away with futility, or kill himself. That, or he would build up secret strength and start eliminating us, one by one. Do not forget that his friends at some point will come and try get the boy, whether successfully or no is up to how strong they are." Feitan said, then left the room.
(1) warui ka: its the romanized Japanese meaning it's my fault.
(2) Nazedesu : romanized Japanese meaning why is that?
