Hello there, people of the internet. I am DxDBourne!
I hope you enjoy part 2 of my Oz quest, I won't waste your time with notes this time.
I Do Not own Sword Art Online or its characters.
"Don't worry my love, if she doesn't accept it then I'll give her a piece of my mind," she thought to herself as the thought of being one of Kirito's official girlfriends got her all giddy inside. After going back across the hole using the rope line they made, the group eventually saw the end of the path where the other group was waiting for them.
"Hey guys, sorry for the wait!" Lisbeth called out, catching their attention.
"WAH! MISS DOROTHY, I WAS SO TERRIFIED WITHOUT YOU!" The Lion screamed as he ran into Dorothy's arms.
"What took you guys so long? I would've thought you would've been quicker considering Kirito was with you," Silica pouted adorably to Lisbeth. Both Kirito and Lisbeth momentarily worried about what they would say to their friend but they were saved by Dorothy.
"Mr. Tin Man's foot fell off so it took us some time to fix it," She said as the Tin Man showed off the D.I.Y fix. As everyone curiously eyed the Tin Man's new foot and the Lion fainted, Dorothy looked back to Kirito and gave him a thumbs up with a cheeky wink.
"Thanks, I owe you one," Kirito thought to himself with a small giggle. "So, did you guys find the brain?" He asked.
"Oh, y-yes we did! But it's a, uh, a magic item so I can't show it to you right now," Silica announced awkwardly. Kirito laughed at the idea that both of them had the same idea about the explanation of inventory items. "It was kinda scary though, first we had to find our way through a foresty maze, then we saw the brain but it was behind a blue forcefield and we had to solve a riddle to get to it, which was really hard. We would've taken a lot longer than we did if not for the Scarecrows help. What about you?"
"Yeah, we found the heart, too. We had to cross a big bottomless hole first, then we had to, uh, solve our own riddle as well," He said as coolly as he could, hoping the petite girl wouldn't notice anything awkward. Unfortunately for him, Lisbeth was blushing a little too obviously, but Silica decided to wait until later to bring it up.
"Well, whaddya say, shall we go and get that broomstick and hat now?" Dorothy yelled with motivation. In reply, the Scarecrow and Tin Man voiced their battlecries, the Lion literally cried, and Kirito, Lisbeth and Silica nodded in approval. After that, they stormed down the path to the witches castle. It really didn't take long for the four ragtag characters to cower behind the three swordmasters as they cut their way through a growing hoard of Petrified Gargoyles as they drew closer to the castle.
Once they reached the gate, they were met with an Ultra Petrified Gargoyle which is basically the same as a normal one except much, much bigger. But despite the added size and damage, it was no match for Kirito's speed and it was taken down with minimal effort. Or at least, that's what Kirito wanted to say, but the giant gargoyle actually managed to land a slight scratch on him. Nonetheless, they were now in the Wicked Witch of the West's castle.
"I gotta say, this place is reeeeally scary," the Lion said as he held tightly onto Dorothy's left arm. No one held onto her other arm but the other two remained very close as well. As they studied the hall of the castle, the Lion suddenly noticed something at the far end "Everyone, look! It's the witch's hat!" He shouted as he separated himself from Dorothy and ran to grab the hat. Dorothy reached out to grab him but he was too far.
"Mr. Lion, wait up!" She shouted, but before the Lion could reply, the ceiling above them suddenly exploded. Then, out of the smoke and wreckage of the explosion, the Wicked Witch of the West revealed herself.
"So you have come to give me those precious red boots yourself, have you?" the Witch said before bellowing an ear-piercing laugh which summoned countless Petrified Gargoyles that surrounded them. However, Dorothy didn't back down.
"By the order of the Wizard, we have come to defeat you and take your broomstick so that we may return home. Plus, I was told to keep these shoes on, no matter what. So I refuse to give them to you," She said as confidently as she could, though there was a hint of fear in her voice. The Witch scowled at her words momentarily but then smiled creepily while looking at the Lion.
"Fine then, if you will not give me them by choice, then I shall make you! Say goodbye to your friend!" the Witch shouted as she summoned a spell with her wand and threw it towards the Lion, who screamed and covered his eyes with his hands.
"NO!" Dorothy shouted as she ran towards the Lion. Unfortunately, she neither the time nor strength to pull him out of the way so, in order to save her friend, she jumped in front of the spell and took the hit herself. All other noise seemed to cease as everyone watched Dorothy fall to the ground in agony before falling silent.
"M-Miss Dorothy?" the Lion stuttered in shock. Kirito turned to look at the Scarecrow and the Tin Man who had similar expressions on their faces.
"Hmph, that's not what I planned on happening but ya gotta roll with the punches I guess. Rise, my child," The Witch suddenly said. A few moments later, Dorothy started to stand up. But she was different this time. She was seething with a mysterious dark green aura and when she was upright, they saw that her eyes were blood red. Everyone around was frozen in shock, especially the Lion who was the current attention of Evil Dorothy's deadly gaze. "Now….destroy him," the Witch yelled.
Then, out of seemingly nowhere, Evil Dorothy pulled a sword out from behind her. It looked kind of like an evil version of the Anneal Blade with the steel having a tint of red. Then without hesitation, she started to swing the sword down on the Lion. The sword would've hit him too, but it was suddenly knocked almost clean out of Evil Dorothy's fingers.
"Return her to her senses, now," Kirito who was now standing in between Evil Dorothy and the Lion said angrily towards the witch after parrying the blow. He had his elucidator pointed right at Evil Dorothy's face but she did nothing except froth at the mouth in rage. "I don't wish to fight you but if I must, I must,"
"Destroy all of them!" The Witch shouted from behind, causing Evil Dorothy to let out a loud growl before unleashing an attack on Kirito. After the first swing was thrown, all of the other Petrified Gargoyles started attacking the rest of them. Evil Dorothy swung from right to left and then very quickly swung back the other way. Kirito blocked both attacks with the Elucidator but was slightly pushed back.
Ever since they had started this quest, quite a lot of things had been different from when he did it previously but none of the changes really had that much of an effect on him, until now. First of all, the Lion was never supposed to run ahead as recklessly as he did, everything after that took Kirito completely by surprise. But this one took that cake, never did he imagine that he would have to fight an evil version of Dorothy. This had to have been the work of Kayaba.
Luckily for Kirito, Evil Dorothy's rage made her movements easy to predict. She swung left, transitioned to an upward slice, then bringing it down only to feint into a frontward stab. Kirito whirled around and lightly grazed her left arm. Any attack he landed on her was very light and non-fatal. He knew that despite this new development, killing her would still fail the quest immediately.
Dorothy spun around, sword extended, and finished with a kick to the chest. Kirito parried the spin and used his martial arts training to redirect the kick away. The battle wasn't hard per se, but Kirito took notice that it was very fast-paced, meaning she never waited between attacks. It was slice after swing after stab after slice after kick after stab.
Then at that moment, something finally caught him off guard. Her sword started to glow a bright cyan, she was activating a sword skill. His momentary pause allowed Evil Dorothy to get into his blind spot and unleash the sword skill Horizontal Square. As she started the beginning right to left strike, Kirito froze. Sure he knew how to parry the skill, but had failed the two requirements. One; don't let them in your blind spot and two; don't hesitate, react as soon as you see the sword light up. There was no way to block the sword skill the way he was now.
In the time he used to think up an idea, Evil Dorothy had swung. The bright cyan blade connected and sliced him across the chest. Red particles of data flew into the air and he could hear the cries of his friends from across the room. If Evil Dorothy managed to connect the entire sword skill, which was almost a guarantee at the moment, he would be in big trouble. However, as the red-eyed girl transitioned to the second part of the attack and put it into action, Kirito lept into action himself.
Evil Dorothy may have successfully activated the sword skill, but Kirito knew of one single way to parry it. In the blink of an eye, he summoned the Dark Repulsor in his other hand and crossed the swords together at his right side. Normally, a sword skill cannot be parried by one sword, but two swords at the same time are enough.
Evil Dorothy's sword clashed with the Elucidator and the Dark Repulsor's crossed guard and after an explosion of sparks, the bright cyan blade was forced back and the light on the sword diminished. If Dorothy was an actual player, then the use of the sword skill would've put her in the post-sword skill motion delay. But she was an NPC so she wasn't affected and bounced immediately back for another flurry of strikes.
Kirito, now using his dual blades skill, made short work of defending himself from the attacks, but now with one sword in either hand, his movements were just the slightest bit slower. This made defending a breeze but any attacks of his were out-paced by her abnormal speed and he would be forced back into a defensive position. If he could just gain the upper hand then he would be unstoppable but there were just no openings for him to take advantage of.
Meanwhile, the Lion, who had barely shaken away the fright from being attacked by his beloved friend, speechlessly looked around. In front of him, Kirito and a scary-looking Dorothy crossed swords with sparks flying everywhere. To his left, Lisbeth and Silica fought off a horde of Petrified Gargoyles and to right, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man defended themselves as best they could using a large piece of wooden debris from the ceiling.
All of his friends were fighting as best they could to try and survive this horrible ordeal. Not only that, but his precious friend who treated him with such kindness and sincerity was being used by that horrible witch and was trying to hurt the person who had so kindly guided them all this way. He couldn't bear to see it. He wanted to close his eyes and wake up from this nightmare in the emerald city with all his friends and with his courage back.
That was it, wasn't it? If only he had the courage to help his friends. They wouldn't be teetering on the edge of a knife if he was able to help them somehow.
He looked up. The horrid green witch was floating above the battle, her face distorted in a horrible laugh. It was her fault. She had done this to his friends.
Seeing her started to boil something deep within the Lion. He started to feel angrier and angrier. This emotion continued to grow and grow until he had to let it out.
The Lion stood up in the middle of the chaos and, as if every emotion he had ever felt was being pushed out at the same time, he roared, and he roared loudly.
As he roared, it felt as if everything in the world stopped. His roar struck a deep fear within everything in the castle and all the enemies cowered in fright. Then, as if the roar itself wasn't enough, a shockwave exploded outward from the Lion, knocking everyone off their feet, and even the witch out of the air. Once the roar finally subsided, silence befell the battlefield. All of the gargoyles around vanished and the witch slowly clambered to her feet, but the Lion ran to the aid of Dorothy.
"Miss Dorothy, Miss Dorothy," He called as he held her in his arms. After a moment, Dorothy's eyes slowly opened to reveal her normal blue eyes again.
"Mr. Lion…," She said slowly.
"I did it, Miss Dorothy, I roared again," He said happily. However, the happiness was ruined by a nasty scream from the witch.
"You dare defy me!? The beautiful witch of the west!? Then I shall destroy you all myself!" She shouted as she summoned a magic circle. "I will turn you all to ashes!" The magic circle she was summoning was a fireball spell that would surely annihilate everyone in the room so, without hesitating, Kirito despawned his Dark Repulsor, sprinted towards the witch and activated the sword skill Slant. The witch's magic circle grew to a large size but it was no match for the sword skill as Kirito's attack shattered the magic circle and pushed the witch right to the back of the room, right next to her cauldron.
The witch coughed and gagged as she crawled back to her feet once more. But this time, before she could stand up straight. Toto ran into the room from outside, charged towards the witch, and with a jump, headbutted her right in the abdomen. This action pushed her backward, causing her to trip and she fell into her scalding hot cauldron. The terrifying screams from the witch as she burned alive could be heard from all across Oz but they quickly died down and as silence fell once more, they realized that they had defeated the Wicked Witch of the West. Celebration filled the air as the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion all jumped into Dorothy's arms.
"I was terrified when you were possessed, we thought we'd lost you," the Scarecrow cried.
"It was so scary when you tried to hurt me but I knew that wasn't the real you, you wouldn't hurt a fly," the Lion mumbled through his flowing tears.
"I'm so sorry for causing you all so much trouble, but we've succeeded and now we can return to the wizard!" Dorothy cried happily, much to the agreement of everyone present. After they left the already decaying witch castle, Kirito was swamped with a multitude of questions from Dorothy and the others surrounding what happened with his fight with Dorothy's evil self. But Silica and Lisbeth trailed a bit so they could have a very important conversation.
"Alright Liz, time to spill it! What happened between you and Kirito during the crossroads?" She interrogated the pink-haired blacksmith.
"Now now Sil, there comes a time in every girl's life when her patience is rewarded, and this is one of those times," Lisbeth calmly and confidently replied. This much alone confirmed Silica's suspicions.
"I knew it! You and Kirito did dirty stuff together! Tell me what you did!" Silica demanded in a much more jealous tone than before.
"Okay fine, but you can't tell anyone yet," Lisbeth made her promise before revealing the truth. "He confessed his love for me out of nowhere and then ravaged my lips with his own! Honestly, the feeling of him forcing his tongue down my throat was pure ecstasy! I hope I get to do it again soon," Lisbeth recalled her most cherished memory as Silica's face went so red, it started to steam. "Okay, I might have overexaggerated just a little but that's what happened,"
"How is it fair that you get all the action and I get nothing!? I've been waiting patiently too, where's my love!?" Silica yelled jealously at Lisbeth who held in a laugh at the current state of her friend.
"Just so you know, it wasn't just me he confessed to," Lisbeth revealed, causing Silica to pause all her other emotions in favor of confusion.
"W-What do you mean?" She asked curiously.
"I mean no one else was there, but he confessed his love for all of us. Me, Leafa, Sinon, Argo, and even you. He basically said that he's realized how he's been constantly neglecting our feelings in favor of Asuna and he wants to start acknowledging our love and deepening his relationships with us," Lisbeth explained, remembering that moment in front of the forcefield. As this happened, Silica's eyes started to sparkle and she started to jump the gun.
"I-I'll go and talk to him about it then," She said as she almost took off ahead but was held back by Lisbeth.
"We can't do that yet, he also told me that Asuna has yet to find out about this decision of his and that before he starts showering the rest of us with affection, he needs to have her permission," She continued explaining.
"I guess that makes sense," Silica sighed in annoyance. "But just so you know, Liz; as soon as he gives the all-clear, don't think I won't hesitate to steal him right from the rest of you," She challenged her beloved friend with a confident smile.
"Oh ho? A challenge? You're on, Sil," Lisbeth sent the challenge right back as the two competitors signaled the start of their battle with a race to catch up to the rest of the group. A race that, despite a valiant effort, was easily won by Lisbeth. As they continued their walk back to the Emerald City, the amount of conversation seemed to diminish as, while there were no more Petrified Gargoyles, they seemed to run into an unusual surplus of wild animals. But even so, it made sense.
Once they reached the Emerald City, the quest would come to an end, and all the talking that needed to be done had already been done so it was a rather peaceful walk back. The only real lot of talking was speculation over what the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion would do now that they were about to get what they wanted. Eventually, they made it back to the Emerald City and were about to enter the Wizards throne room without another golem attack. Dorothy took the lead on informing the wizard of their return.
"O great and powerful Wizard! We have returned with the items that you sent us to retrieve," She said loudly before the same misty face from before appeared on the wall above the throne.
"Indeed you have. The Wicked Witch of the West is no more," the wizard said as the four items they collected suddenly appeared before him, floating around his head. Almost as soon as that happened, the wizard smiled before heartily laughing. Moments after that, all four of the items vanished into thin air. "But alas, you no longer need these anymore," As this happened, Dorothy and the other three were flabbergasted.
"B-But you said we needed them to get home!" Dorothy cried in confusion.
"And to give me a brain!" the Scarecrow jumped forward. Causing the other two to follow suit.
"And to give me a heart!" the Tin Man exclaimed.
"And to restore my courage!" the Lion yelled in a slight whimper.
"Do you not already possess all these things?" The wizard suddenly asked, causing Dorothy and the others to look at each other in confusion. Suddenly, the Wizard turned to look directly at the Scarecrow. "Mr. Scarecrow,"
"Yes, sir?" the Scarecrow jumped upright and answered rigidly.
"When everyone else was lost in the maze, you single-handedly kept everyone calm and helped lead everyone through safely to the other side and even solved the riddle at the end. Only someone with the smartest of brains can do something like that," The Wizard's Face explained with a smile. The Scarecrow thought silently for a second before suddenly being filled with joy.
"Hey, I think you're right!" He said cheerfully. The Wizard's Face then turned to the Tin Man and continued.
"Mr. Tin Man. You have made many friends that are near and dear to you. Friends that you trust with your life, as they do theirs. Only someone with the purest of hearts could form such close friendships," The Tin Man made no hesitation in agreeing with the Wizard.
"Even when we've all gone our separate ways, these friends of mine will always be in my heart!" He exclaimed happily. The Wizard's Face then turned to the Lion who, despite being a little scared, kept his composure in front of the Wizard.
"Mr. Lion. When all hope seemed lost, and your friends were being hurt, you saved them with the mightiest of bellows that even I could hear. You alone are to thank for successfully defeating the Wicked Witch and her army, a feat that could only be accomplished by someone with the courage of a mighty lion, such as yourself," The Lion looked away in embarrassment.
"I guess I never lost my courage, it was only hidden deep within me and in order to save my friends, I was finally able to bring it out," he said with joy as he shed some tears of happiness. Finally, the Wizard turned to Dorothy.
"Miss Dorothy, the entire land of Oz is forever indebted to you and your friends for ridding it of the evil that was cursing that land. No one but you had the ability to conquer such a large task," the Wizard's Face made a bowing motion towards her before continuing. "But alas, the ability to return home has always been with you,"
"Always been with me?" Dorothy asked curiously before suddenly hearing a familiar voice behind her.
"Your slippers, my dear," Everyone turned quickly to see that Glinda, the Good Witch of the North was suddenly behind them.
"Miss Glinda!" Dorothy exclaimed happily. "I didn't think I would see you again,"
"I wouldn't dream of letting you return home without being able to say my farewells," She laughed as the two embraced in a hug. "I knew you would be able to save our world,"
"I couldn't have done it without the friends I made along the way," Dorothy said as she looked at everyone else with a smile. They all smiled back and realized that this was the end of their journey. "I guess this is goodbye,"
"To be honest, I really don't want you to go Miss Dorothy," The Lion bawled.
"But we find solace in the fact that you will finally be able to return home," the Scarecrow said, holding back a few tears of his own.
"And even though you are gone, you'll always be in our hearts," the Tin Man said as he started to break down. All these emotions then caused Dorothy to start crying and they all embraced each other.
"I will never forget you guys for as long as I live," Dorothy said through her tears as the emotions continued to flow. Eventually though, they all composed themselves and finally finished their hug. After that, Dorothy went over to Lisbeth and Silica and said her goodbyes to them in the form of two more hugs. Then she turned to Kirito, they looked at each other for a moment before she suddenly ran into his arms and embraced him tighter than anyone. Kirito reciprocated the hug, albeit not as tightly, and after a fair while, she thanked him.
"I will never forget you, Mr Kirito. I wouldn't even have made it out of munchkin land if you weren't there. You are the true hero," she said softly as she suddenly kissed him on the cheek. Seeing this, both Lisbeth and Silica came ever so close to storming over there and giving her a piece of their mind but they knew that it was just part of the story (hopefully) so they just looked away and ignored it.
"I hope you have a safe trip home," Kirito said as they separated from each other.
"I hope you do as well," She said before walking back over to Glinda and the Wizard. "I'm ready,"
"Alright then," Glinda said as she tapped Dorothy's red slippers with her wand. "In order to return home, you must close your eyes, tap your heels together three times, and say 'there's no place like home"," She said as she stood back. Dorothy turned to her friends one last time and smiled before looking forward again and closing her eyes. After tapping the heels of her slippers together three times she spoke her final words.
"There's no place like home," Dorothy said softly but audibly. Suddenly, her body started to shine a brilliant white and everyone watched as Dorothy slowly disappeared until eventually, she was gone. Silence filled the room for a short while before the Lion suddenly burst into tears.
"I miss her already!" He cried loudly. As the other two comforted him, Glinda walked up to them.
"Alright you three, it is time for us to depart as well," She said as she started waving her wand around.
"Where are we going?" the Scarecrow asked her curiously.
"Why to the north of course! Even though the Wicked Witch is now gone, this part of the land is still suffering from her evilness. It will take a long time for it to heal to a point where it can support life again, that is something that the Wizard shall watch over. The land that I rule over up north is lush and still full of life so it would be wise to move up there until this part of the land heals," She explained. The Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion thought for a moment before agreeing with her plan. After sharing their own quick goodbyes with Kirito, Lisbeth, and Silica, Glinda flicked her wand one last time and the four of them were whisked away up north. After all that happened, it was now only Kirito, Lisbeth, Silica, and the Wizard of Oz. Suddenly, three items appeared before the three of them.
"I conjured these up when thinking about ways to help you three return home, I'm not quite sure what they do but I'm sure you will know how to use them," the Wizard said as the trio grabbed one each. They were obviously a couple of teleport crystals but they weren't going to tell the Wizard that. "The Land of Oz thanks you for all your service, adventurers," the Wizard said before the trio looked around at each other.
"Alright, all at once," Kirito said as the three of them held their teleport crystals above their heads and yelled together.
"Teleport, Coral Village!" They shouted. Suddenly a bright flash of light enveloped them and they left the world of Oz…
…At least, two of them did. After the light diminished, Kirito realized he was still in the Emerald City throne room with the Wizard.
"Um, ok. That didn't work I guess," Kirito said before he suddenly heard a door being opened from behind the throne. The big misty face on the wall vanished and suddenly, a totally normal-looking old dude appeared from behind the throne.
"Looks like everyone one else is gone. Now then, allow me to introduce myself. My actual name is Oscar," The old man said as he walked up to Kirito. "Surprised are you? Have you seen the original Wizard of Oz movie?" Kirito was already a little surprised but the more Oscar spoke, the more confusing it got.
"Uh, I have. I was just…under the impression the wizard here was actually a wizard," Kirito said stutteringly. This was definitely not something that happened in the original SAO.
"Well, sorry to disappoint. I know this version of the quest is probably a lot different to the one you did back in the old version of Sword Art Online but you know Kayaba, he can be a bit of a cheek sometimes," Oscar said as if somehow reading his mind. Any brain cells Kirito still had were just burned at the stake after that last sentence. "To save you the quick trouble of asking questions; Yes, I know this 'Oz' is just a quest within a FullDive game called Sword Art Online. Yes, Kayaba created me and he's a good friend and Yes, he did alter the quest just to screw around with you. He told me that himself," Kirito was still balls to the wall flabbergasted at the stuff happening before him but he managed to claw back some sort of sense and ask questions anyway.
"This is quite the thing to process but let me get one thing straight; If Kayaba created you then how are you so…sentient?" Kirito asked.
"He claims I'm some form of Bottom-Up A.I. and considering I'm part of this game of his, I guess I can't disagree. But I feel so normal and so real so it's kind of strange," He said as he sat silently in thought for a moment. "But anyway, don't worry about that stuff. The reason I've shown myself to you is because Kayaba wanted me to tell you that he's given you something,"
"What is it?" Kirito asked curiously with most of his senses now returned.
"Apparently, it should be in your inventory once you've teleported back to wherever you were before you started the quest. So here's the real teleport crystal," Oscar said as he handed it to Kirito. "Also, it's probably best that you keep the whole Kayaba's secretly in control of the game and screwing with people a secret. He doesn't really want law enforcement involved in this any more than they already are,"
"You can tell him that it would be a lot more favorable if he just handed over the Medicuboid information so that all this could be over much quicker like it should be. P.S. Please stop screwing with me," Kirito said in a brief laugh despite his serious tone.
"I'll be sure to pass it on," Oscar said as he retreated back behind the throne. Kirito held his actual teleport crystal above his head and shouted the necessary words, before being teleported away from the land of Oz. After a brief moment of bright light, he was back in Coral Village on the 22nd floor of Aincrad where two of his friends were waiting for him.
"What took you so long?" Lisbeth asked teasingly.
"We were kinda worried when we realized you didn't teleport with us," Silica said with a wry smile.
"Yeah it was weird, for some reason I was teleported back to the Town of Beginnings. So I decided to do some quick shopping before using the teleport gate to get back here," Kirito lied. The three of them started back towards their player base in the village and reminisced the quest they had just completed.
"Man, I'm gonna miss Oz. That was actually a pretty cool place to be. I wish it was an open part of the floor that we could free roam in," Lisbeth laughed.
"I'm gonna miss Dorothy and the others," Silica said sadly but with a smile. "The Scarecrow was especially so nice to me,"
"Hey, speaking of Dorothy, what the heck was that back in the throne room, huh? You damn player!" Lisbeth growled at Kirito who seemed surprisingly lax about that moment.
"Yeah, that happened in the original game as well. It surprised the hell out of me that time but I knew it was coming so I just let the scene happen," He explained, successfully managing to calm the angry Lisbeth down.
"Fine, I'll allow it," She said in a pout as she looked away.
"By the way, you guys keep talking, I'm gonna go buy the log house. I can't imagine Asuna's wrath if someone gets to it before me," Kirito said before bolting off. He once again took the shortcut around the shoreline of the big lake and continued in the direction of the house. Once he got to it, he went to buy the house...only to find that it had already been bought by someone. Kirito froze, someone else had bought the house. Asuna was going to have his head on a pike for sure. He was an absolute dead man. However, just before he fell to his knees, the door to the house swung open.
"Welcome to our lovely, humble abode!" Asuna shouted, causing Kirito to almost jump out of his skin before realizing that Asuna must've been the one to buy the house. He would've been highly embarrassed at the reaction he had just let Asuna seen if his beloved daughter hadn't run out the door after him.
"Daddy!" Yui exclaimed as she jumped into her adoptive father's arms.
"Yup," Kirito thought to himself as he embraced his in-game wife and daughter. "This is the life," The three walked into the previously empty house and made themselves at home.
And that's the end of that. I do hope you enjoyed that questline, considering I made it from scratch. It was quite fun making a JRPG version of the Wizard of Oz, but boy did it take some time. These two chapters together were almost 10k words.
It was also nice to develop the harem with some moments for Lisbeth and Silica, expect more of those with all of the girls throughout the whole story.
Be sure to Follow/Favorite the story so you can find out what Kayaba gave Kirito.
Also be sure to leave a review so I can get some long overdue feedback on the story so far.
pls excuse any grammar/punctuation mistakes, proof-reading is for noobs.
