I am back! I updated later than i ever have because i faced a writer's block in my other fanfiction... the one i made a mistake in starting along with this one. Anyways hope you enjoy this!

Long black eyelashes fluttered open tiredly, taking in their surrounding. Where is this place? was the first thing on mind. Gon finally woke up from that torture. It no longer was there, but there was a heavy stiffness all around his body. He looked at his hand, and saw two needles. Needles? When he tried shifting his stuff neck upwards, he found the two needles to be connected as IVs in right arm.

When he saw what was up, he paled a little. Medical serums. Two of them. One was clear as water, the other was white and thick looking with how slow it was dripping. He opened his throat to speak, but it hurt, so he just shut up. He felt so weak, but he had absolutely no idea why. He knew there was pain while dueling with Kuroro, then he hut a dead end. His memory recorded nothing more after it. He felt tired, and wnated to call for someone and ease all that confusion. What had happened?

So many questions, and little to no answers yet. If he could not speak for whatever reason, how will he call for anyone? He cursed his luck, and closed his eyes in defeat.

He started thinking back at that weird dream... nightmare or whatever that was. It seemed nothing more than a hazy and faint memory now. He never forgets a dream when he just had it, so why now?

He pondered some more, then he heard his door creak open. It was Machi, but she had not realized he was awake yet. He came to check his pulse through he wrist when his fingers twitched. She flinched in surprise. She slowly rised her head to meet half lidded, tired, hazel orbs. She squeaked, shock plastered all iver her face as if she had seen the unexpected thing in her life.

She ran away from the room hurriedly. "Danchou! Danchou! You have to come quickly!" She was panting when she reached the common room.

"What is wrong, Machi?" he asked. She never was this hurried in doing something unless it was seriously important.

"Gon... Gon... he woke up!" At that, several gasps and many widened eyes were evident in the room from the astounded members. They all had been worried for him so badly.

Kuroro dircetly walked beside Machi after ordering the other members to stay in their places and not to follow the two.

The spider head entered the room slolwy as to not disrupt the boy's peace of mind. "Hello, Gon. We see you have finally awakened." He said softly.

Gon just nodded as if implying that he felt the same. He opened lips to try speak again, and it was a failure for the first few moments before he managed to say "wh... at... happ...ened?"

"Gon, you have been out for a solid month. We did not know until Hisoka told us." Machi said, and Gon's eyes doubles in size. A month! He was unconscious for a whole month!

He shifted his neck to look at the IVs connected to arms trying to ask about them. Kuroro then spoke "You were unconscious the whole time, so naturally, you were unable to eat or drink. However that would be as of letting you die for good, it was a miracle that you still breathed without an oxygen providing respirator this long. Other people would die without one, then again, i doubt you are other people... you are a very much unique person. Anyways, to keep you alive through your comatose state, we had to provide you with nutrition and fluids providing IVs."

Then Machi said, as she was more familiar with those stuff "The clear one is a mixture of salt, sugar, and water only just to keep you well hydrated, though your throat will feel dry. The white one is a TPN, means Total Parental Nutrition, and it provides you with what is enough to keep you alive and going until you wake up. You will feel stiff for quite a while, and don't you worry, that is normal. Your throat must be very dry I suppose, so i will fetch you a cup of water in a moment." She said, leaving Gon to take in all that was said to him just now. It was so overwhelming, and he still has to know the reason of that horrifying pain and his one month coma.

Hisoka came taking a peek on Gon and how he was doing, and it wiped his usual smile away. In fact, he had not really smiled much since the boy had gone into that coma. He looked so weak with two IVs connected to his arm. His eyes were barely open and his body was limp, but stiff looking. "Yo, Gon."

Gon forced a small smile. "Come" He said in a low voice, and come did Hisoka do.

"How are you feeling?" Hisoka asked.

Gon replied with pauses to be able to catch his breath. Boy, he had not used his voice at all and this was hard "I... don't... li..ke it." While he was unable to say anymore, breath lost, those simple words conveyed more than enough. The pain, the hurt, the anger of himself for being so vulnerable, and disappointment.

"I see..." Hisoka said, understanding the meaning behind the sentence, and deciding not to prod or step over any line.

"Hi..soka... Wha..t ... happ...ened?" Gon said, panting faintly. That was a lot of words for just waking up...

"A lot happened." Hisoka replied, his gaze staring into nothing. "I doubt you were much aware of your surrounding or what you were doing with the intensity of the tormenting pain, but you were not under control at all. You were thrashing and tossing around, and your Nen burst around you, which made it all the harder on us to control you. It was only Kuroro and Machi at first, they tried holding you down. It was all going fine when you started screaming in agony. It was a very loud scream, we never really heard you do that before except the day you accpeted joining the troupe. Then i came along with Fietan to try calm you down, but your Nen was so dark and powerful. It resisted anything else that would usually hold you down, including my Bungee Gum" (This is its name in 1999. In 2011, i think its name was elastic love)

Gon looked dumbfounded, but there was going to be worse to hear...

"Even after you fell unconscious, you were still struggling as harsh as you were when awake, and a surge of Nen threw the four of us crashing into the wall of the practice room. I am not sure how you were calmed down in the end, but then we tried putting the Nen restricting bracelet. You, or rather your Nen, however, broke it off in a moment, and all hell broke loose. We couldn't get near you for another full day till you lay limp on the floor. It was then when we took you here. After another day, we decided to attach those IVs in your arm because we couldn't identify when you were going to wake up. I did some memories recall from the past years of my life to try remember if i could know what happened to you, and i did find something. A year before joining or so the troupe, at 24, i had a similar case. The pain, the uncontrollable Nen gushing out of me... It was then identified as my Nen core widening to hold all the power i was weilding It made me stronger. However upon more research, i realized that it only occurs to those in Specialist category. Meaning Kuroro and Feitan must have had it at one point or another. Though what made it so painful for you was your age. It is an extreme rarity for someone's core to enlarge at such a young age."

Gon was now looking like a mess of mixed up emotions: Confusion, fear, fascination, and utter horrro... take your pick. Hisoka resumed though. If Gon wanted explanation, he will give it to him.

"And due to your young age, your body was not exactly ready to widen your core, and thus, it cracked. This little fracture caused the coma, and extra suffering. If you were older when it happened, my age perhaps, it would have gone much easier. You can say that there are two stages to one's Nen core expansion. It happens once at an age, and again, but either less painful or more, at another age, when the body once more needs more space to withhold all your powers. Personally, i know that neither me, nor Kuroro or Feitan have reached that. You, however, is total different story. I believe you would reach the second, and full, awakening. This requires tedious practice, like the one with Kuroro. You will be surprised go see how immense and vast your abilities have become after this. Until then, you will stay in bed for at least another month. You will still feel weak for a long while."

Shock was plastered on Gon's face, and sheer confusion swirled in his eyes. He was barely keeping up with a this new information and it was a huge turn in his life. That means he has become stronger than Killua! At least Nen wise, he still needs to workout more for his physique to strengthen.

"Wow" was all Gon could say for now. Wait for the after shock though... He will be bouncing in excitement then wincing in pain for moving his body so suddenly.

He imagined reaching the second awakening... he can be stronger than most people... stronger than or at least at the same powers as Ging. Oh that would be lovely.

"But, it is said that second awakenings can become deadly if the body is not able to handle them, which is why there is a very small number of Nen users around the world who have reached their secondrousing. It is said that they are below the count of ten, but it is an unspecified number. If you work to reach your second awakening, you will become pretty much undefeatable. Lovely, huh. Then it will be pretty much impossible to fight you, how sad. If you luve through your second awakening, spare me a fight please." Hisoka winked as he said 'please'

"Well then, i should go and let you rest. See you later, Gon."

First awakening... eh? That seems cool. This means with just some more concentration, i would be stronger than Killua. Oh god that seems amazing... it also means i would be holding an unexpected power to present to people. Having strength is nice... I can see why Kuroro goes around taking strong people's abilities. Gon thought as he slipped into a short, blissful, sleep.
