"So, what happened with that Snivy?" I asked after I managed to convince her to let me walk on my own. It feels nice to be carried, or maybe I enjoyed the belly scratches I was receiving while being carried, but after a while it gets kind of tiring.

"He was a prideful idiot that never listened to me!" Rosa huffed out, angrily stomping her foot on the ground with each step she took as her hands balled into tight fists. I gotta say that she looks quite adorable when angry. "Me and my best friend had a mock Pokemon battle when we first got our starters, and he didn't listen to anything I said and simply did whatever he wanted! I couldn't capture even a single Pokemon all day because he refused to cooperate!" She ranted angrily, her voice growing louder as she spoke until she released all her bottled anger with a loud groan before turning to give me a warm smile.

"I'd tell you to remain paw-sitive, but you were fur-tunate enough to run into me so all is well." I shrugged, trying to contain my giant cheeky grin when she groaned loudly with a smile on her face. All my pun knowledge shall finally be put to use now!

"Oh right, should I hide the fact that I can talk or…" I perked up and turned towards my… Master? Nah, partner sounds better. I do not mind if I can or can't talk, but in case we'll stay inside a city for prolonged amounts of time then I'll get bored quickly unless we are in a secluded spot or private room.

I also wonder if I can understand Pokemon like Meowth. I didn't pay it too much attention before when I beat up the two Patrat and the Stoutland, so maybe I'll test it out later.

"At least until I get more than six Gym Badges, at that point I'll be recognized as a professional trainer and I can have as many Pokemon I want." I rose a brow at her words. The way she said it implies that there is a limit to how many Pokemon a trainer can have.

"You are already very unique, so if voice spreads that you can talk the 'higher-ups' may end up pressuring me to give you up, and I sure as hell won't do it."

So this world ain't all sunshine and rainbows like the anime and games portray it. Well, there's always those retarded Teams trying something like world destruction or world domination or enslavement of all Pokemon. Meanwhile the anime only has the Team Rocket trying to steal a dumb Pikachu for hundreds of episodes and a couple of movies too.

"Higher-ups?" I ask Rosa, wanting to learn as much as possible about this world so that I don't do things that may implicate the both of us before we are ready to face anything.

"The P.T.A., or better known as the Pokemon Trainer Association. They pretty much overlook all trainers and their Pokemon captures so that no one gets powerful Pokemon right off the bat without having enough Gym Badges to show their ability to handle them." That's… kinda fair I guess. Teenagers are impulsive, and if they get their hands on a very powerful Pokemon, either by luck or by gift, then shit is bound to happen by mistake or through anger or whatever might be going through their heads. "Accidents still happen though, and some impulsive Trainers have their close friends or even family members give them powerful Pokemon without registration. But some forget that to participate in Gym Battles you need to register the Pokemon you wish to use, so when a Pokemon that isn't on your registry suddenly pops up the authorities are alerted and in the worst cases, the trainer's license is revoked." I nodded my head and hummed. I honestly find it quite fair, but I dislike how trainers always have eyes on whatever you they do, it irks me.

"What about the Stoutland? Can you keep it?" My question made Rosa pause slightly before she resumed walking with a slight frown to her face. She reached into her purse, and I lifted a brow when almost a third of her arm sank into it. What kind of Harry Potter bullshit did I just witness? Well, technology has to be highly advanced in order to capture weird super-powered creatures into some miniature balls that can shrink and grow. And that doesn't sound weird at all.

"I haven't received a message from the P.T.A. yet, so it should be fine." I scrunched up my cute nose and nodded. If Rosa will be denied use of the Stoutland, I might end up joining him because I defeated him. Hopefully that won't happen. I do wonder how they calculate if a Pokemon is too strong for the trainer to handle. Still, how do they know whether a Pokemon is too strong or not for said trainer? Is there some sort of leveling system that they use to quantify a Pokemon's power or do they count the amount of moves they have?

"Look, we're almost there!" I perked up and stared in the direction Rosa was pointing towards, noticing that we had just left the forest and were now on an open dirt path and not far into the distance was a paved brick road that ended abruptly and turned into dirt. It had several stops with vending machines in them, some filled with snacks and fresh water and others with food for Pokemon.

Then far into the distance was a small town. What was the name of the first town in the game? Accumusa? Or maybe it's something close to that.

"We can take a stop there." I stated and pointed at one of the stops with the vending machines and benches with no one in sight. We were very close to the town and getting a break would do us good, especially since my legs are quite tired after using all those Quick Attacks and Rosa did walk while carrying me for some time.

"Yeah, that's a good idea." She nodded, then she paused and slowly glanced around. "I don't see any trainer hiding around so we should be okay for a bit." Huh, so if you lock eyes with a trainer you have to challenge each other like in the game or do they just go "I challenge thee!" out of nowhere? And can battles be refused here?

"Say, what would you like to be called?" I hummed and turned towards Rosa as we made our way into one of the stops, where I took a seat on the bench while she walked to the vending machines. "Calling you Riolu feels wrong to me, as it sounds like a male name." Now that she mentions it, my species is a Riolu, but that's not my name.

"Ria." I spoke up after a few seconds. I just grabbed the R from Riolu and Ia from the last two letters of my name, put them together and made this. It's not much but it's honest work. "Call me Ria." I nodded my head as I made my decision. New life, new name. At least it sounded good.

"That's a very cute name!" Rosa almost squealed as she sat down beside me with a fresh bottle of water, a bag of chips for herself and a bag of… dog biscuits looking things for me. Now this is just degrading.

I popped one in my mouth, chewing on the very delicious crunchy cookie while trying to keep my pride together. I have fallen so low… but at least they taste good, so that's a blessing.

We started making small talk as we enjoyed our snacks, and I mostly just asked a lot of questions about anything so that I don't go around blind most of the time.

I learned that other than the mock battle Rosa had against Hilda, she hasn't fought another trainer since then, which was yesterday. She told me that there are five trainers that started together with her and Hilda, so we may run into one of them sooner or later.

She also told me about how Gym Battles work. The Gym Leaders decided the type of battle, either a one vs one, a two vs two, or even a three vs three. They could even change the battle ground to suit their Pokemon, which added to the difficulty. Of course they'd send their weak Pokemon against new trainers, else nobody would be able to ever get a badge so to get more Pokemon.

And then I learned about the Dungeons. They are nothing special, but they are also incredibly dangerous and are constantly guarded by strong trainers or even Gym Leaders. Dungeons are weird places full of Pokemon from all the other Regions, and may also have extinct Pokemon inside them.

Dungeons are of varying sizes, and the bigger they are, the stronger the Pokemon inside of them are. Their existence is still a mystery as they are some kind of different dimension that is accessible through a small entrance that is very hard to even notice.

The most terrifying thing is that if someone accidentally enters a Dungeon and realizes it far too late, then there is a very high chance that they won't make it out alive as it is just that hard to navigate inside unexplored Dungeons and find the entrance once more.

The Pokemon inside the Dungeons are all aggressive too for some reason, even the Pokemon that are known to be pacifists are violent. Only after a trainer catches them do they go back to normal, but any stray Pokemon that wanders inside a Dungeon ends up becoming extremely violent too.

Honestly they are kind of terrifying and it makes me glad that I decided to become Rosa's Pokemon, because if I had accidentally wandered inside such a Dungeon without realizing then I would've been a goner! Or can I resist the frenzy effect of the Dungeons since I am a human turned Pokemon? I'd rather not find out.

Dungeons change periodically, and the majority of the Trainers that go in there not only do it to find some rare and unique Pokemon to add to their team or collection but also to gather up quite a lot of Berries since they are quite abundant in there. Meanwhile Dungeons that are in mountainous areas tend to have a lot of Fire Stones, Thunder Stones and the likes. Albeit Water Stones can be found more easily in Dungeons underwater.

And then there's the fact that one can find Legendary and Mythical Pokemon inside the Dungeons, albeit they are incredibly hard to both find and catch, and they also only reside in the strongest of Dungeons.

"Are there any Gyms in the town in front of us?" I asked, changing the topic so to focus on something more important and that we might face in the coming days.

"There are three of them. A Bug Type, a Dark Type and a Steel Type." Huh, I have the type advantage against the Dark and Steel type ones, and I am resistant against Bug types. Stoutland has Fire Fang which is strong against both Steel Types and Bug Types, and Thunder Fang is also strong against Steel. But I'd rather grow a bit stronger and maybe learn another move if possible before challenging either Gym.

"We'll have to be careful on which Gym we choose, because if we lose we can't challenge another Gym inside the city and can only keep on challenging the same one until we win, then we can move to the next Gym inside another city." I clicked my tongue at that but nodded. It's kind of unfair but I can live with that.

Imagine getting three gym badges per town/city, that would be incredibly convenient.

"Can you catch another Pokemon? Having another Pokemon would be good for when we face our first Gym." I jumped off the bench and crunched the empty bag of treats into a ball, then tossed it into the nearby trashcan as Rosa finished munching on her chips.

"I can capture a third one yes, then I can capture three more after I gain my first badge." She answered and I hummed. We could either go with Type advantage or a Pokemon like Stoutland, strong but in need of training and with good moves. "There is a Dungeon near Accumula town so we might pay it a visit later to find our third teammate." Good to know there is one nearby, I could use some training against fellow violent Pokemon.

My ears perked up when I heard the faint sound of footsteps, leaning to the side and staring past Rosa towards the dirt road. I raise a brow when a 12-13 year old male kid in tracksuit and baseball cap comes into view from the forest with a Pokeball in hand.

"Uh-oh…" I hear Rosa say as she follows my gaze towards the very edgy looking kid who is very clearly staring towards us. If he pulls some weird shit he's gonna catch these paws. They do be rated E for a reason.

"Ria, are you up for a fight?" Rosa turns towards me with a fiery gaze, and for some reason I start feeling bad for the edgy kid. "There is something that I want to test out, so do you think you can fight without receiving orders?" I rose a brow at that before nodding with a resolute look and turning towards the kid that had just stopped walking. I swear to god that if he strikes a pose I'm beating the shit out of him and his Pokemon.

"I remember you from yesterday." The kid finally spoke up while bouncing the Pokeball up and down in his hand. His gaze landed on me and narrowed, and I really wanted to flip him off for some reason. "So you captured another Pokemon huh? Never seen it before…" He then just shrugged, not even bothering to pull out his Pokedex to check what kind of Pokemon I am as he let his Pokeball fall on the ground and open, letting a bright red beam flow out and release a purple and white cat.

I grinned ferociously when I recognized the Pokemon. Type advantage and dog vs cat. Poor fucker.

"Let's have a Pokemon battle shall we? Simple rule of two Pokemon each, no change during battle." I turned towards Rosa and saw her grinning too, probably knowing about the Type advantage I have. Not to speak about that I just beat up a fucking Stoutland that obliterated a tree with a Take Down.

I shouldn't underestimate my opponent, but the cat is just barely bigger than my head and has that ugly ass smug look on it's very punchable face. Maybe it's strong, maybe it's not, I won't know until the fight starts.

"I don't mind. What's your trainer ID number?" Rosa spoke up, the adorable girl that I knew being replaced by a fierce looking girl that sent shivers down my spine. I watched as the two of them bought out their phones and exchanged ID numbers, probably to link the challenge between them and to have the loser pay the winner?

"The challenge has been registered, let's go Purrloin!" The purple cat released a 'menacing' hiss while jumping forward and showing it's nails.

"Ria, you know what to do." I nodded my head and gave Rosa a thumbs up as I stepped forward, already thinking of trying the move I learned when I won against the Stoutland. If it still stands after it, then I'll go for a Cross Chop.

"Purrloin, go! Use-" A blast of air silenced the trainer as his Purrloin went flying ass over teakettle way past him before falling limply on the ground, unconscious. "Eh?" The trainer blinked, glancing between me and his already defeated Purrloin while I just blinked at my fist.

Holy mother of god…

Okay so, Bullet Punch makes you move and punch much faster. Coupled with Quick Attack, I punched so fast and so hard that my entire arm is numb and the Purrloing went flying!

I hope I didn't murder the little bastard.

"Wha-! Hey, that's unfair! Your dumb Pokemon attacked before receiving an order!" The edgy kid finally recovered from the shock of having his Pokemon defeated in one move and rudely pointed a finger at my while shouting at Rosa, who looked both surprised and smug at my victory.

"There is no such rule that says that a Pokemon has to hear an order before attacking." Rosa stated plainly, but there was a massive smug grin across her face as she basked in her victory.

Now I understand what she actually wants to do! During Pokemon battles, each trainer shouts at the Pokemon what move they should use and what to do, but the opposing trainer or Gym Leader will of course hear that and tell their Pokemon how to counter-attack or whatever. But I doubt that everyone can recognize what move is being used on the spot, especially if one uses several moves at once or during the heat of battle.

So Rosa wants to test out how effective a Pokemon that fights without receiving orders is. I do wonder if there are other trainers that just let their Pokemon duke it out with others without giving them orders.

"Tch, fine! Cheat all you want, you won't win the next fight!" The edgy kid scoffed, flipped his cap to the back of his head and took his Purrloin back into the Pokeball. I narrowed my eyes when I barely heard him throw an insult at his Pokemon, but I didn't fully catch what he said. "Let's see how you win this! Come out, Dewott!"

I heard Rosa take in a sharp breath as the Pokeball popped open and out of it came out the evolved form of Oshawott, one of Unova's three starters. But how is it already evolved? Didn't they start just yesterday?

"It evolved already…?" Rosa mumbled, and I could tell that she was slightly nervous as she stared at the bipedal blue otter that was glaring towards me. "No, you gave your Pokemon a Water Stone didn't you?!" I narrowed my eyes at that. Could you evolve starter Pokemon's with their respective Evolution Stones in the games or is this yet another new thing?

"What about it? It's not against the rules after all." The idiot just shrugged with a smirk, then looked towards me with narrowed eyes. "Dewot, use Razor Shell!" He ordered loudly, and said Pokemon made a 'Shaa!' sound and grabbed the two scallop shells attached to it's legs, and they both soon started glowing with white energy which extended outward to form two five inch long blades.

I use Metal Claws to even the playing field as the Dewott charged at me, it being pretty much the same height as me.

I blocked the blades with my claws, causing sparks to fly, before I lashed out with my head and headbutted the otter, causing it to recoil bag before gagging used a Quick Attack to boost a kick into it's stomach, sending it sprawling back.

"Damn it! Get up and use Water Gun!" By using the still present boost of Quick Attack, I threw myself to the side as the Dewott lifted it's head to shoot a powerful and large stream of water exactly where I was standing before.

A tried to punch the Pokemon in the face with a Bullet Punch, but it lifted one of the scallop shell-blade to intercept it. The scallop shell shattered and the punch still landed, but it was much weaker than before and it wasn't strong enough to send the otter flying back, giving it the chance to lash out with the other shell-blade, and I managed to avoid a large wound by stepping back but I still got a thin but painful cut across my belly.

I gritted my teeth in slight pain and anger as I used Metal Claws again, then my arms started glowing as I used Cross Chop. The Dewott's eyes widened as it tried to dodge the attack by jumping back, but I charged forward with another Quick Attack and smashed my Cross Chop empowered claws into it's chest, leaving behind ten bloody cut wounds and making it cry out in pain as it flew back.

"Impossible!" The kid pretty much roared in anger and despair at the scene, throwing his baseball cap onto the ground and stomping on it several times. "Get up you stupid Pokemon! Get up now!" I stared towards the Dewott in pity as it whimpered and tried to lift itself up. For a second, I thought I saw a pleading look in it's eyes before it crumbled down and fainted, clearly out of the fight, but I chalked it up to being my imagination.

He was forcibly evolved through a Water Stone that this kid somehow obtained, so while it did grow stronger, it had just started out yesterday so the evolution actually harmed it. It wasn't even given the time to grow and evolve on it's own.

I sighed, shook my head, then walked back towards the very furious looking Rosa. The energy that I received from both defeated Pokemon don't even come close to half of the amount that I gained from Stoutland, showing that they are much weaker than him.

"You might want to fix that attitude, else you'll never get far." Rosa warned him, showing a great deal of restraint towards her own anger before she scoffed and turned around, stomping off towards the town with me in tow.

"Is it a bad thing to use Stones to evolve Pokemon?" I asked Rosa once we were a fair distance away from the kid. I did make sure to check that he took his Dewott back in his Pokeball, and good thing he did. Still, I feel so bad about that Pokemon. That kid reminds me of those stupid rival trainers of Ash that abandon their Pokemon because they aren't strong enough for their tastes.

"It is considered bad when a trainer forcefully evolves a young Pokemon before letting them train and learn moves." Rosa sighed, clenching her phone tightly as she glared back towards the younger trainer who had sat down at one of the stops. "Usually, most experienced trainers use Evolution Stones on Pokemon only after they haven't evolved after a couple of months and have stopped growing stronger and learning moves. But using an Evolution Stone on a young Pokemon just makes their growth harder and may even stop them from evolving the normal way." Damn, that sounds rough. I throw another glance back, really wanting to go and beat up the dumb kid and bring away his Pokemon, but that would just create trouble for us.

"Let's just remember his face and hope he changes his ways, otherwise you can report him to the authorities." I told Rosa, making her sigh as she reached down to scratch the top of my head.

"Oh crap, I forgot!" She suddenly bought the two of us to a stop as she knelt in front of me and pulled out a purple spray bottle from her purse. "Good thing mom gave me some healing potions for the travel." I winched when she sprayed the liquid on my small cut wound, feeling it burn as it sealed up and almost fully disappeared. Well, this is convenient.

"This will have to do until we reach the Pokemon Center, good thing we are close." I nodded and thanked her as she stood back up, and we soon resumed our walk to the town in front of us. God, I really want to take a rest now, Quick attack really takes a toll on my legs.

It took us around twenty minutes of non stop walking to finally enter the town, which I soon found out was quite lively. There were people walking around with Pokemon or riding on them, and there also were dozens of bird Pokemon resting on every single rooftop.

"Let's get to the Pokemon Center to get you and Stoutland healed up." Rosa pointed to the left and down the short road, where a large building with a red roof was, with it having quite a few people walking in and out.

We walked into the very nice smelling building and were escorted to the side by a very tall and kind Chansey. I tried to focus and see if I could understand what Chansey says, but no matter how I tried I couldn't grasp anything. I guess I can't understand Pokemon, or maybe I can only understand what my own fellow Riolu say?

"I'll go call my friend while you get patched up okay?" I gave Rosa a thumbs up as she took me back into my Pokeball, and I watched as I was carried off by a nurse and placed into a machine together with Stoutland's Pokeball.

When the machine turned on, I felt my whole body relax as I grew sleepier and sleepier, and then darkness took me as I fell into a very relaxing and comfortable sleep.

(One Hour Later)

I was woken up when I heard a voice call for me, then I felt my body shift as I was taken out of my Pokeball, where I stumbled left and right sleepily.

"Good morning, howl you doin'?" I yawned and greeted Rosa with a morning pun while rubbing one of my eyes. How long did I sleep for actually? I feel so relaxed and full of energy so I must have slept until morning no?

"Did your Pokemon just talk?!" A shout makes me jump and fully wake up, taking in the large bedroom with two beds, a couch and a TV, before turning to the owner of the voice and locking eyes with Hilda. Well crap. "And did she just make a pun?!" Double crap.

"Ehm… Woof Woof?" I tried to salvage the situation while throwing a panicked glance towards Rosa, who just facepalmed and groaned with a smile on her face. "Guess the pug's outta the bag…" I sighed, making Rosa groan loudly and fall back into her bed as Hilda snorted, staring at me with a very excited look. Wait, do pugs even exist in this world? Or is there a pug-like Pokemon somewhere.

"Still, you have a talking Riolu bigger than normal and a Stoutland defeated by said Riolu. You were incredibly lucky today!" Hilda sent an envious glance towards Rosa as she kicked her legs, before her eyes lit up as she flipped around and crawled across the bed to reach her bag.

I didn't miss the very obvious staring that Rosa was sending towards Hilda's ass. Her face caught on fire when her eyes locked with my and I pointed finger guns towards her. I'm starting to like her more and more!

"I managed to capture a Ducklett and a Rufflet. A Flying/Water Type and a Flying/Normal Type." Hilda turned around while holding three Pokeballs, letting them pop open and let out her Pokemon. "It's quite hard to capture Pokemon when Tepig just chases them away the majority of the time!" A snort came from said orange and black pig Pokemon as it appeared on the floor, where it proceeded to glare at me intensely for some reason.

"Don't mind him, that's just how his face is." Hilda told me as she reached down to cuddle the light blue duck Pokemon in her arms, who proceeded to start gently pecking at her cheek while the Rufflet started flying around the room.

"I really want to catch my third Pokemon inside the Dungeon here, and use that chance to also familiarize myself with Stoutland. Do you want to come too?" Rosa spoke up as she sat up from the bed and stretched herself, Hilda's eyes going wide before she facepalmed, probably cursing herself for not doing the same. But she does have two Flying Types that are strong against Bug Types so it's good for her in case she decides to train them up to take on that Gym.

"I should have thought of that too, not that I regret catching these two cuties! Rufflet is quite strong after all!" Said bird chirped from it's place near the window, flying up and landing on Hilda's head as Tepig snorted some embers it's way. Seriously, that pig looks like it's about to commit murder.

"There is a Bug Type Gym here, so you could take that on." I pointed out, making Hilda stare at me wide eyes before she blinked in realization and grinned like a lunatic. "And Tepig there is also strong against Bug Types." Said pig snorted embers my way and I ignored the outright murderous look he was sending my way. This guy has problems.

"You're right! Then I guess I better train them up a bit before taking on the Bug Type Gym!" I nodded my head and followed after Rosa as she put on her shoes while Hilda took her two bird Pokemon back inside their Pokeballs while holding onto the murderous looking Tepig.

We walked out of the room and I looked around, and soon found out that we are actually inside the Pokemon Center. I didn't know that they offered lodging too, but that's very welcome.

I waved at one of the Chansey walking by and watched as one of them pointed a mean little arm towards Tepig, who started trembling in pure fear. What the fuck happened between those two?

"What Types of Pokemon are we likely to run into inside the Dungeon?" Hilda asked towards Rosa as we exited the Pokemon center, the Tepig in her arms still looking very terrified.

"The Dungeon is inside a forest, and I read up that there are Grass Types, Bug Types, a few Water Types, some rare Fyre and Dark Types, and then after dusk, Ghost Types can also appear." Rosa listed off, and I whistled at the amount of Pokemon Types we might run into. Honestly, I hope for a Fire Type. But Ghost Types are also very welcome since they are my favorites alongside Fighting and Dragon Types.

"So we might run into Ghost Types since dusk is falling. Those are tricky to handle." Hilda states, and I nod my head at that. The only move that I can use to hit them is Metal Claw, while Stoutland can use his Fire or Thunder Fang moves.

"That is actually what I am hoping to catch. Ghost Types are so useful and they can learn moves of many different Types." Rosa pumped her fists in excitement, and I found myself agreeing with her.

Ghost Types are terrifying because they can learn Ice, Water, Fire, Thunder, Dark, Psychic and even Bug Type moves. They are incredibly terrifying and all-rounders for any kind of fight that isn't against Psychic or Dark Types, but even then it can still have moves that are super-effective against it's own weakness.

"I know of very few Ghost Types, like Ghastly and Zorua, but other than them not many come to mind." Hilda hummed before shrugging as we turn down the street and towards a large building with open doors.

We walked into the lobby and I waited as Hilda and Rosa registered themselves to gain access into the Dungeon. The reason they do this is that they are given one hour inside the Dungeon, and if they don't come back within that hour then they will send someone to look for them in case anything happened, or we got lost. Which makes me relax a bit knowing that there is a contingency plan.

Once they are done, we walk past the lobby and through the doors at the other hand that lead us into a large open area facing an open forest.

I stared at the forest and swept my eyes past the trees. The forest looked very normal and I could see past the trees, but then I looked straight forward and noticed that a spot between two trees looked darker than normal, and then someone appeared out of thin air through said gap. So that's the entrance I guess? No shit someone could enter a Dungeon without realizing.

"Okay, let's go. We don't have much time." Rosa took a deep breath before she walked towards the entrance of the Dungeon. She only has an hour in here because she is a new trainer, but after she gets a Gym Badge her time inside Dungeons should increase.

The moment we step through the invisible entrance I instantly feel the change and shiver, making me throw a nervous glance around the much darker forest, expecting anything to pop out and attack us out of nowhere.

We were in the middle of a small clearing, and in the middle of it was a tall pole with a bright light shining on top of it and towards the sky, possibly to guide lost Trainers back towards the entrance as long as they aren't too far.

"Shall we split up?" Rosa turned to Hilda, who nodded her head and released her two other Pokemon while placing Tepig onto the ground. "Then I'll go to the right, you go to the left." Rosa stated, pulling out Stoutland's Pokeball as Hilda started walking away very slowly.

"Be careful, this place gives me the creeps." I warned Hilda, who sent me a thankful smile and nod before I followed after Rosa.

After a minute of walking, Rosa tossed the Pokeball in the air and released Stoutland. The large dog Pokemon throwing a confused glance around before staring towards me and Rosa.

I rose a brow when Stoutland gave me a respectful nod, possibly accepting the fact that I am stronger than him, then gave Rosa a confused glance.

"Hi Stoutland, my name is Rosa. I captured you after my friend here defeated you. I know it's a bit late to ask, but would you like to be my Pokemon?" Rosa spoke up, crouching down in front of the large dog and scratching his chin. That's one hell of a way to win a dog over.

Stoutland looks very pleased from the scratches, and happily gives Rosa a bark and lick on her cheek, seemingly agreeing to become her Pokemon, making the both of us sigh in relief. He is a tank, so him being on the current team is very welcome.

We were interrupted by the sound of barking, making me turn towards the right just in time to see at least five Zigzagoon with dark red eyes charging towards us from the darkness.

"Ria, Stoutland, get ready!" Stoutland gives a menacing growl towards the five charging Pokemon as I prepare to use a Cross Chop on the first one that draws near. "Stoutland, use Tackle!" Rosa shouted, and the massive dog roared as his body emitted weak white light before he charged forward at a moderate speed, slamming into two Zigzagoon and sending them flying.

I don't waste time to hit a Zigzagoon with a Bullet Punch, sending it sprawling on the ground, before smashing a second one through a tree with a Cross Chop while Stoutland took out the last one with a Thunder Fang.

"Good job Stoutland! You too Ria!" I sent Rosa a thumbs up while Stoutland puffed his chest out in pride. "I didn't expect for so many of Pokemon to appear so suddenly…" Rosa sighed, staring at one of the Zigzagoon and seemingly considering capturing it before she just shook her head.

"Let's keep going." With one last glance around, the three of us kept walking in the same direction we were before with our guards up.

We kept running into a lot of Pokemon as we walked, the majority of them in groups of five or more. The majority were either Zigzagoon or Patrat, which all went down in one hit, but we ended up running into a group of three Audino that were actually quite strong.

I took out one of them with a Cross Chop, and sent one of them flying into the third one and Stoutland took both of them down with a terrifying well placed Take Down.

When I helped Stoutland take down some Pokemon, I'd still receive some energy, but if I didn't help him, then I'd gain nothing, so I started landing some hits on any Pokemon that we ran into just to keep up the stream of energy.

The Audino gave a fair bit of energy, with all three of them together having almost gaven me more than half of what Stoutland did earlier in the day.

"I think it's best we head back now." Rosa sighed, sad that she wasn't able to find a Ghost Type Pokemon as we turned around and started backtracking. We did get some training in, and Stoutland got less sloppy with his movements with each fight. "The Pokemon here are very violent huh?" Stouland barked in agreement with her words, keeping it's ears up for any kind of sound that isn't ours.

Darkness was about to fall and our vision will be severely limited so that's why we are backtracking already, as it is incredibly dangerous to fight Pokemon with limited vision, especially since they will attack Rosa too.

I was about to answer when my ears perked up as I heard a weird sound coming from the trees. It was a sort of moan, a very weak one, but I still managed to catch it.

"There's something in the trees." I called out as I looked around, trying to catch any kind of movement. Stoutland started sniffing the air while he stood protectively beside Rosa as the moan-like sound drew closer and grew more clear. This has to be a Ghost Type Pokemon.

My fur stood on end and I threw myself to the side as a large dark purple ball pierced through the leaves of a tree in front of me and shot towards me at incredible speed before exploding once it smashed into the ground, leaving behind a miniature crater.

I threw a glance in the direction it came from and my eyes widened when I saw the Pokemon that launched such attack. It was a damn Duskull! One of my favorites!

"That's a Duskull!" Rosa shouted as the large floating Pokemon phased through the leaves and floated down, it's size being close to mine as it's glowing red eyes locked onto me.

Stoutland roared as it charged at the Ghost Type, his fangs glowing red as Rosa told him to use Fire Fang, but Duskull easily sidestepped Stoutland's jaws, but I managed to hit it with a well placed Metal Claw that sent it flying away.

It's moan-like sound turned into an angry hiss as another Shadow Ball formed right in front of it, making me use Quick Attack to charge towards the floating Ghost and dodge said attack. I doubt I can take a hit from it's Shadow Ball after seeing how strong it is, so I must end this as quick as possible.

Another explosion sounded behind me after I dodged the attack, barely missing Duskull side with a Metal Claw as it floated away, showing just how nimble and quick it is.

I used the still present speed boost to dodge the three floating purple flames that appeared around Duskull, then weaved through them when they flew towards me and landing a good slash across the Ghost Pokemon chest and making it fly back.

My eyes widened when a pitch black bolt shot out from Duskull and slammed against my chest, making me grit my teeth in pain before I grinned as a pair of large jaws landed on Duskull's back, powerful sparks of electricity electrocuting the Pokemon as Stoutland used that chance to slam it into the ground and keep it in his jaws.

I ignored the pain wracking through my body and rushed forward, using a Quick Attack empowered Metal Claws to slash at Duskull's chest several times, making it's wail grow louder until they quickly quieted down as the Pokemon finally fainted from the onslaught.

I sighed and slumped down on my ass as Rosa caught up to us, looking incredibly excited as she tapped a Pokeball against the fainted Pokemon's head.

"You guys were amazing!" I gave a shaky thumbs up as I rubbed my stomach. What kind of attack was that?! It hurt like hell!

The Pokeball stopped rolling, showing the successful capture of Duskull, making Rosa cheer as she gave me and Stoutland a hug before pulling out her Pokedex and holding it over the Pokeball.

"Duskull, the Requiem Pokemon. Gender: Female. Height: 3''80. Nature: Hasty. Moves Known: Will O' Wisp, Payback, Ominous Wind, Shadow Ball." So that move it used on me was Payback! Jesus, that hurt a lot!

Still, this girl is incredibly strong and quick and can sure as hell quite a few hits! I don't know what Ominous Wind does, but I'm glad that she didn't use it. Will O' Wisp inflicts the Burn status, and it should be those purple flames, so I'm also glad that I dodged them. She sure as hell as some strong moves though, and will be a good addition to the team.

"Let's go back to get her patched up!" Rosa grinned, bouncing up and down while holding onto the Pokeball tightly. This was a good catch, and it was the Type of Pokemon she wanted so all is good. "And because it's getting way too dark…" I snorted and shrugged off the pain as we started walking back. Luckily I could already see the light from the beacon through the trees.

It didn't take us long to reach the clearing and see the exit to the Dungeon, and just as we were looking around for Hilda and preparing to go look for her, me and Stouland perked up as we heard a familiar snorting sound.

We turned in the direction Hilda went just in time to see Tepig come running with a look of pure terror on his face before he just bolted through the Dungeon's exit in front of our wide eyes.

"Tepig you cowardly shit!" Hilda's furious voice came from the darkness before she suddenly came into view, eyes full of anger and fear as they landed on us while she held Ducklett and Rufflet in her arms. "Run!" She screamed, and we barely had time to wonder what the hell was going on before a swarm of Swoobats came into view. Dozens of them.

So of course we bolted the fuck out of there!

"What was that all about?!" Rosa asked as she checked over Hilda, while the very furious teenager sent her two Flying Type Pokemon back into their Pokeballs and turned towards her Tepig, the pig Pokemon lying on his back and breathing heavily.

"I told you not to attack that damn Swoobat, and you fucking Flame Charged it?! Are you insane?!" The orange and black merely snorted and turned his head away from Hilda, but it was clear that he was very afraid of her anger from the way his legs were shaking.

"Pretty sure he wants you to stop swining about it, it's snout like he knew there were so many of them no?" I spoke up with a giant grin, wiggling my brows as Rosa groaned loudly.

"You shut up!"
