The next few days were horrible for Daisy. She watched everything happen. Stark created Ultron who was meant to be a peacekeeping initiative, but he turned deadly and escaped through the internet. He killed so many people and terrorized the world.

The Avengers tracked him down to Sokovia where the battle took place. Them versus all of his robot minions. Daisy watched the TV in horror, Nat was somewhere in the middle of all of it. Her father enacted Theta protocol which turned out to be a refurbished helecarrier and thank God because it was how everyone got off the floating city of Sokovia alive.

Daisy's heart dropped along with her stomach when the city fell. She prayed Nat had gotten off the city safely. She felt her mother's hand on her shoulder.

"She's okay. I know Nat, there's no way her stubborn ass didn't get out of there." May attempted to put her daughter at ease.

After the disaster, Coulson proposed he direct shield with Gonzales and his people and May acting as a council. Ward was locked back in his basement cell for now.

To add insult to injury for Daisy, Lincoln woke up and told her it was dangerous for SHIELD go know inhumans exist. He worried they would hunt down Afterlife.

The next thing she knew, Raina and the teleporter were aboard the aircraft carrier where her father was. May had stayed on the base to keep her company through the hard time she was having. They were after an alien artifact in the cargo hold of the ship.

Coulson traveled back to the base where he and May questioned Daisy about it, to which she responded that she had never heard about it before.

"Dad, these people just want to be left alone." Daisy told her father.

"Then why did they teleport into the ship?" May asked.

"You're assuming it's a weapon. Maybe the inhumans are afraid of it and what Gonzales might do with it." Daisy countered.

"We're not the enemy here." Coulson tried to convince her.

"This man can teleport. He's clearly dangerous." May warned.

"We're ALL dangerous." Daisy pointed out.

Much to Daisy's dismay, Gonzales was able to track Gordon and find Afterlife. He wanted to attack, he was scared and argued that they didn't know anything about these people. But Coulson proposed a sit down with Jiaying.

"No!" Daisy argued later on when her parents tried to talk her into it. "Secrecy is what they value most."

"We don't have a choice here." Coulson told her.

"Yes you do. They see SHIELD as a threat. Just leave them alone." Daisy said.

"We can't just ignore their existence." Coulson said.

"I should never have come back." Daisy rolled her eyes. May nudged her at the display of attitude before her daughter left the room.

"She didn't mean that." Coulson walked up to May and ran his hands up and down her arms.

"I think she did. These people, they're like her." May pointed out.

"You are too. Or you have the potential to be." Coulson told her.

"I don't know if I could ever do that. It's too personal." May referred to the Bahrain incident.

"One thing at a time, we can discuss that later if you want. Let's just get through this right now." Coulson said.

Daisy agreed to the meeting on the terms that she and Lincoln go first to talk to Jiaying. The day after that SHIELD would fly in and Coulson would meet with Jiaying.

Except after Daisy left, Gonzales changed the terms. He would meet with the inhumans instead while Coulson stayed behind on comms.

Daisy wasn't happy to see Gonzales walk into Jiayings office. Jiaying was handing over her husband as a peace offering, he had his own run ins with SHIELD and they would be locking him up. She sent Skye to walk him out to them.

May was waiting to retrieve him, which made Daisy feel a little better.

"Where's dad?" Daisy asked her.

"We thought we should have someone more objective to meet with Jiaying." May admitted.

"What about you? You're a potential inhuman." Daisy reminded her.

"I'm really not someone objective here." May said. "Everything will be okay, give Gonzales a little more credit."

Daisy was called back in by Jiaying and May went back to the jet.

Gunfire was heard from the meeting room, causing a panic. Simmons attempted to take a look at Jiaying but the woman refused, accepting help from one of her own doctors.

May tried to get her daughter to leave with her but she couldn't find her.

"Where is Daisy?" She tried to march into the place.

"Leave." Lincoln told her.

"Not without my daughter." May refused. She tried to walk past him and Lincoln surged electricity through his hands. So May took him down. Other inhumans converged.

That was when a quinjet blew up the building where the meeting room was.

"Daisy!" May screamed and tried to run in. The inhumans pushed her back.

"Leave!" They shouted.

A few agents showed up to pull her away. May was dragged off kicking and screaming for her daughter and eventually had to be iced.

She woke up on a quinjet to Simmons video conferencing with Coulson.

"Where's Daisy?" She demanded.

"How are you feeling?" Simmons asked.

"I have a headache and I asked a question." May grumbled.

No one knew where she was or what really happened to Gonzales, Simmons was convinced he attacked while the council maintained he wouldn't after proposing the meeting in the first place.

Back at the base, May arrived and saw Coulson. She wanted to talk to him alone about their daughter and honestly cry. Daisy was missing, no one knew if she was even alive and it was killing her.

She got the chance when everything calmed down and she was alone with him in his office.

"Have you heard anything?" May asked him.

"No. But Daisy can handle herself, I'm sure she's okay. We'll find her." Coulson assured his ex-wife.

"How do you know that?" May said.

"Because we lost her for over twenty years and found her again." Coulson answered. "Please, get some sleep. You're exhausted and you've been iced. You need to sleep it off."

"You want me to sleep while our daughter is missing?" May was astonished.

"Yes. Because we can't do anything until we have more information and you can't help her on no sleep. Please Melinda." He plead.

May gave in on the terms that any information on Daisy was given to her, even if she had to be woken up.

She did manage to sleep, but in the middle of the night she woke up choking on her own intake of breath. She had another nightmare, but this time Daisy wasn't there for her to check on. So she went to Coulson's bunk instead.

He answered almost immediately after she knocked.

"Can't sleep?" He asked.

May shook her head and he stepped back to invite her in.

"Do you really think she's safe?" She asked him while they both sat up in his bed, leaning against the headboard.

"I think they want her to turn against us, and they think they can use her powers." Coulson said. "It's not ideal but it's better than the alternative."

"I want her back, Phil." May said.

"I know, we'll get her back. Go to sleep Melinda." Coulson pulled the blanket back.

She laid down next to him. He stayed sitting up and covered her up, then ran his hand up and down her back until she fell asleep before laying down himself.

They recovered the security footage from the rouge quinjet and found out the inhumans flew it and fired on the building. The whole thing was orchestrated in order to get all the inhumans to believe war was the right thing. Coulson and May were banking on Daisy being alive so she could be swayed too.

Meanwhile, the "peace offering" was found to have taken three vials of an ill attempt at super strength. Jiaying's husband, Cal, was suspected to be a Trojan horse. Sent to weaken SHIELD for the inhumans.

While Coulson stayed at the base, May went to the ship. Their best bet was the inhumans were after the cargo so that's where she went.

When the alarms went off she knew they were there. The ship's power was shorted by most likely Lincoln. She slipped below deck, knowing the ship would be taken before long.

She was about to round a corner when she heard footsteps. She quietly drew her gun and came out, only to be met with Bobbi and Hunter.

"Jesus." May sighed. "What's going on?"

"They have the ship, we're outnumbered. We need to keep a low profile." Bobbi informed her.

"Fantastic." May remarked. They heard a cream and all three of them turned in the direction it came from.

It was Mack, he was in a room gesturing for them to come in.

"I saw Daisy." He told May as soon as they were inside.

"What? Where is she?" May demanded.

"Alive. Not fighting with them. She was unconscious. They probably locked her in her brig." Mack informed her.

"They need her for something." Hunter pointed out.

"They're going to need a funeral when this is over." May said.

Mack found the brig being guarded by an inhuman. He knocked her out, taking her by surprise and led the rest of the group in.

"Mom!" Daisy reached a hand through the bars.

"Daisy!" May gasped and took her hand, reaching an arm through the hold her. "Are you hurt? What happened?"

"I'm okay. But I can't use my powers." She showed them the cuffs on her wrists.

Mack opened the door and May was able to really hug her daughter.

"I'm sorry." Daisy sobbed into her shoulder. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen."

"It's okay." May cupped the back of her head. "We just need to take this ship back. We can do it." May assured her.

Mack had Daisy hack into SHIELD and send out a hardwired message to the base for help.

Then a new problem arose. Jiaying wanted to expand the beacon and invite all of SHIELD. She wanted to use terragen crystals on all of them. If they weren't inhuman, they would die. They had to cut it off but to do that they had to get clear across the ship.

Daisy made it to the room to cut off the beacon, while Mack, Bobbi, and Hunter went off to find a power saw in case she couldn't do it. May stayed with her to protect her.

"How'd you get out?" A familiar voice sounded.

"Lincoln!" Daisy said. But before she could say anything else, May engaged with him.

It didn't take long for him to blast her into a wall.

"That's my mother!" Skye cried and kneeled to check on May.

"Why are you doing this?" Lincoln asked her.

"Jiaying is manipulating all of you. That attack didn't happen! She shot herself and blamed SHIELD, she doesn't want the rest to come here to hug it out. She wants to execute them like she did to those unarmed agents!"

She could see she was getting through to him, but Mack showed up and his him over the head.

"I was getting him to our side!" Daisy was shocked.

"I'm in a crack heads first ask questions later mood." Mack casually said.

He, Hunter, and Bobbi went to protect the case of crystals in the fan room so Jiaying couldn't spread the mist to the whole ship. Everyone else would be stopping the inhumans.

Skye couldn't shut off the beacon so she used it to make morse code and warn SHIELD that it was a trap.

Skye and May found Jiaying taking the crystals. Skye tried to stop them but an inhuman stepped in the way and made copies of herself. Skye and May would have to take them out to get to the crystals.

They went to it. Even though the copies would keep coming. May turned around to see several of them over her daughter.

"Get off her!" May screamed.

That was the moment Lincoln walked in and electrocuted the source, knocking her out.

"It might help if we get rid of these." Lincoln got the cuffs off her.

"I need to stop Jiaying." Daisy tried to take off.

"I'll do it, I've done it before." May said.

"No. I can do it." Skye didn't want her mother to have to do that again.

"You have to be willing..."

"I know. Whatever it takes." Daisy squeezed her mother's hand before taking off.

It almost cost her her life, but she stopped Jiaying. She had the help of Cal who Coulson convinced that his wife wasn't helping anyone but herself. And she quaked a quinjet with terragen crystals in it into the ocean.

May rushed onto the deck, seeing her daughter on the ground and weakened. Jiaying had tried to suck the life out of her. She picked her up and helped her stay standing.

"Mom, I'm fine." She said in a weak voice.

"I almost lost you again. You're not fine." May held her tightly to her side.

The next thing either of them knew, Coulson was being helped out onto the deck. His arm was halfway gone and he was bleeding profusely.

"Phil!"

"Dad!"

May and Daisy yelled at the same time.

"He was going to turn to stone. I did what I had to." Mack held up a bloody axe.

It was a hell of a day. They returned to the base and to their surprise, Natasha was waiting for them.

"What the hell happened?!" She yelled, immediately grabbing Daisy and hugging her. "I've been trying to call and check in but no one was answering and then I come back to find THIS." She pulled away and looked at May, then at Coulson.

"Your arm!" She screamed.

"I'll get your father to Simmons. Fill her in." May said.

Natasha looked at Daisy expectantly who was suddenly feeling a whole lot better.

"You look like hell." Natasha commented.

"Nice to see you too." Daisy smiled.

"You know what I mean." Natasha deadpanned. "Come here and sit down." She wrapped an arm around Daisy and led her to a couch.

"Well after you left we watched what happened in Sokovia. I'm glad to see you're okay. You never checked in." Daisy was hurt by that. She had been so scared.

"I'm sorry. I just needed time to process everything. We have a new avenger, but she started out working for Ultron. She can put these visions in your head, it really messed all of us up." Natasha said, Daisy could see something in her eyes. She would have to ask about it later.

"I get it. I didn't even have time to think anymore. I feel like I've been on a roller coaster. Gonzales wanted to have a sit down with the inhuman leader and it went horribly wrong. She killed him and blew up her own building to trick her people into following her into war. They abducted me, and they tried to take out all of SHIELD. A lot of people died, I almost died."

"What?" Natasha stopped her and looked her over.

"She had the power to suck the life out of someone and take it for herself. She tried to do that to me, but her husband stopped her with his super strength. As for my dad's arm, he came in contact with a terragen crystal and almost turned to stone. Mack cut his arm off to save him."

"Leave for a week and miss so much." Natasha said to herself. "But you're okay?"

"I could use a shower and a nap but I'm fine." Daisy smiled.

Natasha couldn't take it anymore. She leaned in and held Skye close and sighed.

"I'll shower, you make something to eat, and we can talk about your week. Fair enough?" Daisy suggested when they pulled apart.

Natasha nodded and they both went off to shower and cook.
