It was back to work for Daisy. Her friend Lincoln was in trouble. She found her dad in the lab and told him the ATCU had issued a nationwide man hunt for him. Between them and the giant trying to kill him, they had to bring him in against his will.

Unbeknownst to her, Coulson had Mack implanted a tracker on him. She tried reaching out to him by phone after they traced him but he hung up and killed his tracker. Time to step it up.

Daisy wanted to take a team and go after him.

"The ATCU is on the hunt for inhumans. No." Coulson said.

"I'm not afraid of them." Daisy said as she trailed him down the hall out of his office.

"But they're afraid of you which makes them dangerous." Coulson pointed out. "Until we know where he is you're not going out there."

So Daisy started scanning law enforcement channels to narrow down his location.

Coulson decided to contact the ATCU and propose a meet up. May wasn't happy about it but he was there director.

Daisy was sitting and talking with a newly returned Simmons when she got a phone call from Lincoln. He was finally asking for help from her.

So she set out to find him at the location he gave her while her father went to meet with the woman with the ATCU, May and Natasha close by in case they tried anything.

They played their hand when they revealed they knew about Daisy. They knew she was an inhuman and Coulson would do anything to keep that quiet.

May and Natasha sat in the car, when they heard that over comms and looked at each other with equally worried expressions on their faces.

To save Daisy, Coulson gave up Lincoln's location. But Lincoln got away again and the ATCU attempted to take Daisy. That was when May and Natasha had enough.

"Stay here. We have enough mess without the Black Widow exposing SHIELD." May said. She marched out of the car and made herself known to Rosalind, the woman that was in charge of the ATCU. She marched up to her, grabbed her arm, and spun her around.

"If you take my daughter I will personally kill you and everyone else who has anything to do with it. Tell your men to stand down." May said.

"He got away, if you cared about your daughter so much you wouldn't have put her in this position." Rosalind talked down to her.

"Watch yourself." Coulson stepped in.

"Oh I see, she's yours too." Rosalind said.

"She is, and if you insist on taking her I will let my wife kill you and I will devote every resource I have into taking down your agency." Coulson got in her face.

"It's not personal, it's work. And right now I need to show results." Rosalind said, showing no fear.

"You don't have children, do you?" Coulson said.

"No I don't." Rosalind said in a cold voice.

"What if I offer something better?" Coulson said.

It pissed Daisy, May, and Natasha off but he proposed working with them and offering his expertise.

Meanwhile, the beast was still out there killing. They had to put a stop to him. They had to figure out why he was finding inhumans and killing them. Mack thought it might be instinct. That's how they ran into the ATCU, after following the monster into an industrial park.

The ATCU took the victims of the monster. Coulson, Daisy, and Mack made their way back to base. Fitz recovered the victims' laptop after finding out they had gotten a suspicious email.

Bobbi found hair that belonged to the killer and found out he was inhuman too. So the question was why was it killing it's own kind?

Daisy managed to trace the email and found it it left a nasty virus in their computer that traced their location. She needed to find the source of the virus. She did find out the virus was found to all the inhumans the ATCU came across. And she managed to find the source.

Skye had a theory that the ATCU was working with the IT guy who was the source of the virus. So they tracked him down and got information out of him. He called the monster Lash and said that's how he got their names to track them down. He was taken away by the ATCU and Coulson sent Mack and Daisy along with them.

But Lash attacked and killed their guy. The truck was crashed because Daisy quaked him, and they ended up in a local ER, where she revealed she saw a shadow that told her that Lash was able to turn into a man. Meaning he could be anybody.

Daisy made it out in one piece and was pissed off. Lash was tracking them and her new theory was he was in the ATCU, hiding out as a man and turning into the beast when he needed to. So she started narrowing down who it could be. They knew he wasn't Hydra, Ward was on the inside and had worked his way up given his history with them. He was using his angle of being held captive by SHIELD, and his last message said they had nothing like Lash up their sleeve.

Mack pointed out that Banks, the second in command at the ATCU left before the truck they were in and showed up after. So they decided to tail him and see what they could find. Him, Daisy, and Hunter took off on the stake out.

Daisy and Mack were discussing out to keep tailing Banks when they noticed Hunter gone. He walked straight up to the man and iced him.

"Come on!" Daisy yelled.

They helped him get the guy into the van where Hunter proposed they collect DNA and test it for inhuman marker.

"That's actually...kind of smart." Daisy admitted.

"Thank you." Hunter said.

"I still think you need to talk about your anger issues." She told him.

"And this isn't a med lab we don't have the equipment to draw Banks' blood." Mack pointed out.

Hunter shrugged and punched Banks in the nose.

"Okay." Daisy said, getting frustrated.

"There. Blood." Hunter raised his hands.

Daisy swabbed the blood now coming from his nose and called Simmons asking for help looking at it. In the meantime, he got a text regarding a place called Endotech. So they put him back in his car and went off to check it out.

They found an impressive security system on arrival.

"They don't want anybody in there." Mack said. "That has to be a front."

"So what now?" Hunter asked.

"Now we use the new dwarf Fitz crafted." Daisy held up the piece of tech with a smirk on her face. "He doesn't think it's ready yet but that's stupid because it's awesome. So, I stole it."

Both men gave her questioning looks.

"I didn't say you were the only one with issues." She told Hunter.

Off it went to infiltrate. What she didn't expect to see was people in little stasis pods everywhere her father looking around inside, not the least bit bothered. And to top it off, Banks had no inhuman markers so they still didn't know who Lash was.

So the ATCU was storing inhumans they found. Daisy felt like throwing up.

May and Bobbi chased up a tip they got from Ward. Hydra had sent someone to take in Dr. Garner thinking he might give them more information on Inhumans, but he didn't go down without a fight and was almost killed for it. May managed to get to the Von Strucker kid and hear that the doctor was Lash, just before he went comatose. She kept it to herself, hoping to prove him wrong at first. This meant that Lash had gotten way too close to all their inhuman intakes.

Daisy laid into her father when she got back to the base. He told her the ATCU was looking for a cure.

"We are not a disease!" Daisy said.

"I never said you were." Coulson replied.

He went on to point out that some of them are changing in bad places and hurting themselves or others. He would be meeting with the president in Colorado. The ATCU arranged it so SHIELD would stay in the shadows.

As soon as she arrived back on base, May checked the flight logs for Dr. Garner. They matched up with all of the Lash attacks. So when Daisy told her he was at an off-site training facility with Joey, her heart dropped to her stomach. Without telling anyone, she made off to find him.

She walked in on the middle of a session between him and Joey. She ordered the inhuman taken back to the base and confronted the doctor.

She ended up iced and abducted. When she woke up she was chained down with Dr. Garner trying to explain to her. But she wouldn't hear it. He'd killed people.

Coulson and Daisy welcomed the ATCU aboard their Zephyr in the interest of sharing information with them. They wanted to assure Rosalind they were capable of handling inhumans too.

To their surprise, Mack and Lincoln docked with the zephyr on a quinjet. He had intel on Lash. He said Jiaying kept a ledger of inhumans and their locations. SHIELD had recovered it and given it to Dr. Garner. And Coulson had just gotten word that him and May were missing.

Lincoln told them he was still in transition, he phased back and forth but eventually would stay Lash. They had to catch him before that happened.

They managed to track the two of them down. Coulson walked in on Dr. Garner was trying to convince May to listen to him.

"Sorry to interrupt." Coulson said with a gun on the doctor. And he looked at May. "Are you hurt?"

She shook her head. Mack secured a containment module and Rosalind brought agents of the ATCU in, and Lincoln, Daisy, and Natasha were there.

Lincoln could hear everything Dr. Garner was saying and was losing his temper. The man had convinced himself he was doing the right thing.

"I've only killed those who deserve it." He said.

The power surged and Lincoln walked in.

"Who the hell made you judge, jury, and executioner?" He asked.

"Get him out of here." May told Coulson.

"You have no right." Lincoln said.

"I have everything right." Dr. Garner said before changing. Coulson moved around and stood in front of May, not that she would usually need his protection but right now she was chained down. "I am the cure" Lash said.

The battle was on, they needed to bring Lash in one way or another. Coulson freed May while Lincoln tried to bring down Lash.

After several people trying to take him down with guns, Daisy quaked him and he smashed through a wall to get away. It was enough damage that another large chunk fell, right where Natasha was standing.

"Nat!" Daisy managed to stop most of it from falling but she still took a hit.

"Nat's down." Daisy said into comms.

"I'll get him where he needs to go." Lincoln said.

He proceeded to lead Lash to where the containment module was, where May talked him down to turning back into the man. And she shot him to push him back to the containment module. He didn't die, he stood back up as Lash and was gassed.

She took a deep breath and stepped back.

"Melinda!" Coulson came running in and immediately embraced her.

"I'm okay." She clung to Coulson. It was over.

Mack found Natasha and Daisy and picked up the red-head.

"I can walk." She groaned.

"Shut up." Daisy said.

They got her back to the zephyr where Mack laid her on a table.

"Stop looming. Go check on your mother." Natasha told her.

"My turn to take care of you." Daisy smiled down at her.

The medic brought along with them came over and began examining her. She had no broken bones that he could see but she did need her side stitched up. He rolled her shirt up on the side. Daisy moved up to where her head was and held her hand, not that she was asked to. But Natasha didn't let go either.

They stayed together through the whole process of being examined back at the base. Natasha got herself cleaned up while Daisy helped her. She couldn't get dressed on her own without pulling at her sutures, so she walked back to her room in a robe.

Daisy helped her slip into a pair of sweat pants before the other woman turned her back and slipped the robe off. Then she pulled a shirt over her head before Natasha turned around.

"I really owe you one." Natasha said. Daisy could see the vulnerability in her eyes, something she hadn't seen this much of before.

To her surprise, Natasha slowly stepped forward and kissed her. Lightly, but meaningfully. It said they had had enough of dancing around each other.
