Chapter 3
The wind blew past her black hair as she walked. The sun had set already, but she couldn't stop thinking about what she saw that morning. Why did Midoriya walk out of Mina's room? It had been bothering her all day. She got a chance to ask the man in question earlier that day but backed out at the last moment due to not knowing exactly what to say.
And how was she supposed to bring it up anyway? Her friend's boyfriend walked out of another girl's room the morning after a party. While she didn't know how to bring it up to either of them she knew that she couldn't tell Uraraka until she confirmed what she saw first. For all she knew Izuku had passed out on her floor or something. Yeah, that must've been what happened. Right?
She had mulled over it hoping one of them knew she saw them. But even she had to admit it was highly unlikely. She decided to ask someone she trusted. She made her way back to Heights Alliance and walked in. She looked around the common area and quickly took notice of Mina sitting around with the other girls, just chatting. However, Mina was not who she was looking for.
She couldn't see Midoriya anywhere, thankfully. But her gaze finally found the person she was looking for. Sitting at the counter by himself. She walked over, passing the girls as she went. She entered the made-shift kitchen area and stopped herself while standing next to the counter. She stared down at the man, eating a bowl of Soba. "Can I help you?" Todoroki asked.
Todoroki was the person closest to Midoriya apart from Uraraka and Iida. She couldn't go to Uraraka for obvious reasons and Iida was avoiding Midoriya (As much as that pained him to do) for getting drunk at her party last night. "Can I ask you about something?" Her voice was quiet, she didn't want to be overheard by the group of girls. "Go ahead." Todoroki replied not really picking up on the whole quiet thing.
"I mean a bit more privately." This got his attention, it's rare for Yaoyorozu to ask for something. And normally she wouldn't really care who heard. His mind flashed back to the exams they had before the summer. Had she lost her confidence again? Regardless he felt like he had to help her. So he nodded and she began leading the way toward the elevator.
They made their way up to the fourth floor and entered Yaoyorozu's room, her bed taking up most of the space. She turned to face him. Todoroki prepared to hear about her problems and then try his best to help her overcome them. She opened her mouth and was about to speak. "Did Midoriya say anything about last night to you?" Todoroki was officially caught off guard.
Why was she asking about Midoriya? The last time he checked they weren't really friends. What happened last night? Could this be related to Uraraka this afternoon? D-did he cheat on her? He then shook his head. There was no way he could do that. "No, what happened last night?" He asked.
Yaoyorozu became flustered by this. She was expecting him to know something about it. "Oh, N-nothing he just left the party in a bit of hurry is all."
Why was she flustered by this? There was no way right? Izuku wouldn't cheat on Uraraka with Yaoyorozu. Please someone tell him Izuku didn't do that.
"W-well that was it, sorry to bother you." Yaoyorozu basically pushed him out of her room.
Todoroki walked out of her room and looked around unsure of what to do. He could ask Midoriya but he had gone to sleep already. He looked around and decided to make his way back down to the common area to talk with someone.
The room was dark. No lights were on in this All Might riddled room. The window was cracked open letting cold September winds flow through the room. Lying on the bed bundled up under All Might covers was Midoriya. He was holding his head in his knees.
The entire world was spinning all day, he couldn't face his girlfriend and when his friend asked him why he almost passed out. The world itself was spinning and cracking. He didn't know what to do. After all, he was just a teenager, he wasn't supposed to deal with shit like this but yet. Whenever something bad happened he would always think. 'What would my dad do?'
He didn't really remember the man as it had been a good 13 years since he left. But he would always think about him. Not a week when by that he didn't think about his dad in some way. But he could never tell his mum about that…given what he did to her.
Is he doing the same as his dad did to her? He hadn't really thought about it like that. His stomach rumbled bringing him back to reality. He peeked his head out of the covers and noticed how cold it was. He began to move and crawl out of the bed before he saw her. Sitting in the dark, staring at him was a visage of Uraraka. It sent chills down his spine. Just knowing that he betrayed her was tearing him apart from the inside and this visage was his mind telling him he had done wrong.
He cowered back under his covers, not wanting to face her or anybody else for that matter.
Knock Knock Knock
"Hey, Midoriya are you in there?"
However, the one that had done him wrong was about to drag him back into the world.
And for once…he wasn't strong enough to fight back.
