Time Period: A Flashback
Date: 4-5-1994
Place: Ellis and Meredith's house
Scenario: Meredith Grey (16) and Morris Rosewood (17) welcome their son (Brandon) into the world on the same day as Kurt Cobain's death
Meredith's p.o.v
"Nirvana's lead singer, Kurt Cobain has died today at age 27" the anchorman announces on the
television. "Well damn" my boyfriend, Morris Rosewood curses. I am glad my mom is at work
so she doesn't have to kick him out of the house. "I will miss Kurt dearly. He has changed my life"
I vent. My stress sends me into immediate active labor. Thankfully, Morris stays put instead
of going home. We don't call 911 because my mom will probably be the doctor on call. Most
of her colleagues think she has a perfect life. They will never know the truth. The truth is
Ellis Grey has a pregnant teenage daughter and many other problems. Who knew my beloved black
prince and I would become parents on this horrible tragic day in Music History? Nirvana's songs
play loudly on a radio while I give birth to our son in the bathtub. Brandon Kurt Grey Rosewood
enters a world full of drama and yet hope.
Time Period: The Present Reality
Meredith's p.o.v
Fresh out of surgery, Amelia approaches Morris. "Mr. Rosewood?!" She acknowledges him. "Yes,
Dr. Shepherd" Morris answers standing out of his chair. "Mr. Rosewood, your son's surgery was
a success. You can see him now" she informs him. "Dr. Shepherd, I thank you for your service.
You are truly the best" he praises her. Joyfully, Amelia takes us to Brandon's recovery room.
Surprisingly, Brandon remembers who I am. Brandon has my eyes and Morris' skin color.
Amelia can't tell that we are related. Extremely busy, she has no time to socialize. As for
now nobody except for Morris and Christina knows the truth.
