It was early, but , everyone was awake and getting ready to start their day. When the season changes, so do the family routines and the long mornings of wake-up, were ending. At the kitchen table, AJ busily was eating his breakfast, while as his mom, Zoey, and his dad Jackson sat at the table with him,
"So, excited for school today?",asked Jackson to AJ.
AJ looked up from the breakfast he was having, pancakes and strawberries, to his father. Jackson was, kind of, staring at him. He was waiting for him to wait for him to answer. A few seconds went past as AJ calculated in his head, thinking about all the different parts of the day he was trying to fit together. He was thinking about the phone that he that he had hidden in his pocket. This was the most important part of this "master plan". This "unplanned" conversation could throw things into chaos. What should he answer him with? All he was thinking about is when he gets to school. He thought about the phone and trying it out to see if actually does works. Then, he realized if he had told his parents the truth, they would be upset and take the phone again. So, as he had looked at his father, he had to think of something reasonable to say,
"Yes I am.", he said.
He appeared to be ready to go. Hearing that made both Jackson and Zoey smile with happiness. Seeing that their son was excited to start his day, AJ smiled back at them with happiness as well. He got up from his seat and smiled,
"Anyways, got to get my bag.",said AJ.
He walked off into the other part of the house, with his parents watching as their son got his bag and left out the front door for school.
