A/N: Seasons Greetings, everybody! After the sadness contained in my most recent GI FanFic, I have decided to make things a little more festive with a lot of fun. Of everything I have written up to this point, this one-shot offering will be my first-ever Christmas-based story. And may this be the first of many I look to write in future holidays to come. This is also a Christmas card, of sorts, from me to all of you, the readers who have taken the time out to read me and my work since I started this several months ago. There will be some special BMAG and Pinger here in this story for all of those who appreciate these special couples. In particular, I would like to send a special holiday shoutout to Ms. Tara Burgundy for her early influence, enthusiasm and support, as well as to Miss Bridget Sharpe, for being a principal inspiration on my writing, and, for this specific holiday, to homage what this holiday comes to for those such as her who believe. I will return later this holiday season with another story to mark the occasion. Happy Holidays, everyone! Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad! Joyeux Noel! Buena Natale! :D
Mistletoe.
The layperson's name for an obligate hemiparasite plant in the order of Santalales. Attached to their host tree by way of a haustorium, they commonly derive water and nutrients from the host plant.
This plant, as it turned out, was in huge abundance on the island. All during their time upon the island, the seven castaways have used this plant for many uses. Known primarily for treating arthritis, high blood pressure, infertility, and epilepsy, this plant was a particular go-to for Professor Roy whenever anyone came up with any likewise ailments, be it for concussions and, as of late, a sexual aphrodisiac, as needed—particularly for Roy and his intensifying lovemaking sessions with his girlfriend, Ginger.
Which is bringing the castaways to something else this plant is used for, as well, that it is used for commonly around the world:
A holiday signpost for kissing.
This became commonplace amongst the Christian World, primarily Western society, for a two-fold reason:
For lovers to congregate under to kiss.
For protection against witches and demons.
Though this practice became commonplace amongst the servant class of 18th-Century England, there would later be one other aspect of the mistletoe which would become renowned for.
"My great-grandmother worked with some Caribbean herbalists, who looked upon this very plant as a god-bush," Mary Ann said to Ginger, while they were putting some mistletoe together for another island Christmas. "In fact, after she left Louisiana once the Civil War ended, that was an early business she got in on. They hired her as an apprentice, and she learned very quickly. So much so, that when she moved up north, she opened up her own business and did very well with it."
"So that is how you learned how to do so much with these plants when you help the Professor from time-to-time?" Ginger asked.
"Yes, indeed," Mary Ann told her girlfriend, who even picked up a few pointers along the way in learning how to use the mistletoe throughout the years. Together, they helped heal William whenever he would suffer a bruise during their time on the island. These treatments took on an entirely new meaning how that the two women had gotten close to William within the past year: one as his girlfriend…the other as his fiancée.
Thus, as a result, this year, the kisses were going to be quite special.
The girls then placed the mistletoe in strategic places throughout the camp area, on the sides of huts, and even on specially placed poles William and Skipper had erected around the periphery of camp, and throughout nearby areas outside of camp, as well as the lagoon…and even on the poles in the girl's hut, as well as that of the Howell's.
In fact, Mary Ann and Ginger, for a test drive, gave themselves both a deep, loving kiss underneath of mistletoe in their hut affixed high up on their exercise pole.
This was going to be a Christmas for them all to remember.
The tree was decorated as it was, with all kinds of wooden ornaments of various carvings accumulated throughout their time on the island. Some of them were of themselves as left behind voodoo dolls; others were of themselves as holiday figures: The Howells were decked out in red, as the wealthy couple that they are, with Mr. Howell in a top hat and tails, Mrs. Howell in a tiara and gown; Roy dressed in 18th-century stovetop hat and tails; Ginger in a long red gown; Skipper as Santa Claus; and William and Mary Ann as themselves: he in his white tennis hat, red shirt, blue dungarees and white deck shoes; she in her gold halter top, blue short shorts and black pumps, embossed inside of a heart, holding hands and signifying their upcoming nuptials in the year ahead.
KHSL was simulcasting its holiday programming for the occasion. Various soul classics played, along with contemporary fare. One of the songs was White Christmas, written by Irvin Berlin, as popularized by Bing Crosby in the 1942 film, Holiday Inn. There were two versions song here; one by The Ravens, a big R&B hit for them in 1949; another one by The Drifters, as led by Clyde McPhatter, featuring the distinctive bass voice of Bill Pinkney, which was a major hit in 1954 and as much a holiday staple as Der Bingle's version ever since.
As these songs played, the castaways walked around basking in the glow of yet another Christmas on the island. The Howells noticed a mistletoe on the side of their hut. They kissed deeply. The Skipper walked around. Ginger crossed his path underneath a placed mistletoe. They kissed on the lips.
Then came Merry Christmas Baby, a song as written by Lou Baxter and Johnny Moore, featuring smooth piano and vocals by Charles Brown. Though done originally as part of Johnny Moore's Three Blazers in 1947, Brown would later record another version, nine years later, as widely accepted as the original was. Though popular on the West Coast, Mary Ann first heard this version as a little girl in 1947, while vacationing with her family there at the time. The single would be a big hit at the general store she worked at: it sold out each holiday she worked there.
For this song, the three couples danced to this one—happily. Mary Ann and William went to the mistletoe they spotted and kissed deeply during their slow dance; Ginger and Roy also did as well as he Howells.
They all also slow danced to The Christmas Song, written by Mel Torme and Robert Wells, in 1945, and recorded by Nat "King" Cole the following year. Four different versions of the song were recorded between that original and the most widely known version of the song, which was recorded in 1961, just a few years prior to Mr. Nat's passing in 1965.
There was also fun stuff, coming from the likes of Chuck Berry, with Run, Run, Rudolph, in which various castaways decided to do a daisy chain dance while listening.
As various Motown selections played things really got crazy.
As William walked around with a cup of coconut eggnog, fermented with coconut milk and Howell rum, Mrs. Howell got him under a mistle toe for a deep kiss.
William was very stunned. He never knew Mrs. Howell was that kind of a kisser. Yet she was.
And he enjoyed it.
"Wow, honey, Mrs. Howell sure knows how to kiss!" he said to his fiancée, walking over towards her afterward.
"Yes, baby. I know," Mary Ann responded in kind.
"Really?" he said, "how did you know?"
"Because we kissed, too," Mary Ann said, with a whimsical albeit sultry smile.
"You did? Wow!" William said, his mouth agape. Obviously, he was not mad at all. Just amazed in a year full of amazing surprises—Mrs. Howell being an amazing kisser as she is.
As Mary Ann turned around to grab some more eggnog, she bumped into Mrs. Howell, while under mistletoe.
"Oh, Mrs. Howell," Mary Ann said, "here you are. I see you kissed my fiancé."
"Yes, I did, dear," Mrs. Howell said, smiling. "And we are standing under the same mistletoe I just kissed him at just now."
"Oh, I see," Mary Ann answered. "And you know what? He actually liked it."
"Just like you did on Halloween Night," Mrs. Howell said.
"Yes, Mrs. Howell," Mary Ann said.
"Care for an encore, darling?" Mrs. Howell asked.
"Yes!" Mary Ann answered.
On that note, Mrs. Howell led the younger lady into her hut and her pole, which had its own mistletoe atop it, swirled her against the pole, and launched into a deep, passionate kiss.
A kiss which felt better on Christmas than it did on Halloween.
Mrs. Howell, as a young woman, had a thing for Negro women.
Now, as an older woman, she still did…for the youngest castaway who, herself, was a Negro, as well.
The taste of brown sugar was a very intoxicating one for her.
So much so…that William was not alone, at all.
Nor was Ginger, for that matter.
Not only did she love her beloved Roy and her dear William, but also her girlfriend, Mary Ann, as well. So, every chance she got, Ginger made sure to get her kisses in with Mary Ann—which she did.
When Booker T. and The M.G.'s came in, from their 1966 LP, In The Christmas Spirit, with their own cover of Merry Christmas, Baby, Ginger and Mary Ann danced to that one underneath the mistletoe while they kissed on. Mary Ann loved placing her head upon Ginger's breasts, which felt like twin pillows, whenever they slow danced or embraced. This one felt especially great on this Christmas Day.
Then came another Booker T. and The M.G.'s cover of another holiday classic—this time, it was White Christmas. This time, two girlfriends went to their respective male lovers—Ginger to her boyfriend Roy, Mary Ann to her fiancé, William. They both slow danced under the mistletoe dispersed around the area, getting some seriously deep kisses in.
Then, when the Memphis Group did, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, The Howells, realizing this cover was slower and soulful than usual, went under a mistletoe an got a deep kiss in of their own—their hands going places they never thought they would…yet did!
Next Booker T. and The M.G.'s came in with a version of White Christmas, slower paced, where Mary Ann and Ginger then switched up, going to Roy and Skipper…while William ended up with Mrs. Howell. While Mary Ann and Ginger kissed modestly on the lips…Mrs. Howell kissed William deeply…again!
This time, William felt a throb in his groin area!
He blushed immediately.
After the song ended…he ran off to the lagoon.
Mary Ann followed him after the song ended, catching up to him there.
"Baby, what's wrong?" she asked, sitting next to her future husband.
"Mrs. Howell, that woman sure knows how to kiss!" William answered, taking her hand in his.
"I know," Mary Ann said, smiling. "She is one fine kisser!"
"Wait, she kissed you, too?" William asked.
"Yes, baby." Mary Ann said, "and I liked it. Seems like she has a thing for Negro women."
"Wow…" William said, his voice trailing off and looking away for a moment.
"How do you know?" he asked.
"She told me…the night of the Halloween party," Mary Ann answered. "The night we kissed."
"Really?" William said, "wow. I never would have known…"
"This doesn't bother you, does it?" Mary Ann asked.
"Oh, no" William answered. "If anything, that only shows that Mrs. Howell as great taste! She's a great kisser and if you can love her kisses, then I can love her kisses, too."
"Oh, William, you are so sweet," Mary Ann said, "that is what I love about you so much."
"And what is that?" William said, with a smile.
"Your kind, loving, generous heart, just as Ginger said just a couple of weeks ago" Mary Ann said, with a smile, referring to what their girlfriend said as they mourned Otis Redding's sudden passing just a fortnight ago, as she placed her arms around his neck.
"Yours too, my love," William said, taking her around her small, tiny waist. From there, the engaged couple proceeded to kiss deeply in the sand, rolling around like never before. William's throb was really raging now. As much as he really wanted to go all in on Mary Ann…they had vowed, and agreed, to save that for their honeymoon. The feeling was mutual, as Mary Ann was feeling moist between her legs, her nipples as hard and erect as William's member.
The two of them rubbed up against one another, with William unzipping his pants to have to release himself away from her. Afterward, once William zipped his pants back up, they both embraced. They were both in tears.
"God, I love you so much, Mary Ann, that I really want to make love to you," he said.
"I know, baby, I love you and want to make serious love to you, too, and I want to feel you inside of me," she said. "And that is going to happen. And when that does, we will really be able to full feel each other's love. That is what is going to make our love, our life together, our marriage, and by extension, our future family, that much more special and beautiful."
"Oh, Mary Ann," he said in return.
"Oh, Willy Baby," she said, kissing her fiancé hard, as they headed back to camp, together, hand-in-hand, and, eventually, arm-in-arm.
The two then returned to camp to hear Stevie Wonder's brilliant Christmas composition, That's What Christmas Means to Me. Upon arrival, they saw Roy and Ginger going at it underneath the mistletoe the entire time. After the song's bridge passed, they both headed off to the lagoon.
Roy and Ginger, once there, then launched into a deep, hard, super kiss. Only unlike the younger, engaged couple, this time, they went at it…hard! Roy's pulsating member was no longer containable, so Ginger unzipped him and went at him, taking him deep inside orally. Her nipples were so erect that Roy, on impulse, reached around her gown, unzipping it, allowing her breasts to fall out, where he went all in on them, sucking each nipple while burying his head in her massive mammaries. Then, after he slid Ginger out of her gown and set it aside, Roy undressed himself completely, took his member and went inside on them, then, ultimately, inside of her, glazing her torso over once done. The two of them then laid together, in the nude, on the sand.
"Oh, honey, this is the best Christmas I have ever had," she said, "laying down next to you, my love!"
"Oh, believe me, darling, this is my best Christmas, too" he said, in return, holding his woman in his arms, feeling her erect nipples pressing into his chest.
"I could just lay here all day and night, next to you, naked, my love," she said, while stroking Roy's male member alternatively with her left-hand vacillating back-and-forth between that and his manly chest.
"I know," he said, "so could I."
On that note, a giant star, reminiscent of the star of Bethlehem, shined brightly throughout the dark island night. The light somehow made its way into the island couple, laying together in the nude. The bright light made Ginger's white complexion and shapely body glow, while Roy's tan, muscular body began to glisten, as well.
The two felt as if their love had been anointed from up high. To mark the occasion, they both kissed deeply right there on the spot as the light shined upon their embrace.
The two of them would be there for a while before eventually returning to camp a few hours later.
Meanwhile, back at camp, The Howells launched into a deep kiss, under the mistletoe, before going into their hut to go at it. The herbs from the plants helped Mr. Howell with his newly resurrected lovemaking to Mrs. Howell. On this evening, his member would last for quite a while, to the delight to his mature-albeit-still sexy wife, who enjoyed every minute of their lovemaking.
As the MG's Silent Night played in the background, William and Mary Ann danced slowly under the mistletoe, in each other's embrace, continuing to enjoy their company together. Their love strong enough to allow them to wait until their wedding night.
"Merry Christmas, Mary Ann," William said to his fiancée.
"Merry Christmas, Willy Baby," Mary Ann said to her fiancé.
The two of them launched into a deeply intense kiss. As they did, a special light shined upon them, as well. They were both basking a glow as they looked up to this bright star, reminiscent of what went down in Bethlehem all of those years ago. This was the same kind of light which was shining down upon Roy and Ginger in the lagoon.
Now, this light was shining down upon William and Mary Ann.
The two of them, tears rolling down their cheeks, kissed right then and there underneath that glowing light.
Their love, also, anointed from up high, as well.
