Hello! To start, Ryuujin96, i feel the randomized battles was more a sttength as you guys got originl battles and it stays true to tje concept of a tournament like that, I appreciate the criticism though, the katsuki vs Izuku battle was very brief and wasn't stopped due to midnight being stunned by the normally kind Izuku being so aggressive and nothing he did was actually out of norm for a hero course, i uh actually didnt even think about the internships really, just that Torino wouldn't have a reason to, I might go with rykukyu due to her quirk, but i dont think its the best because the internshios are meat to teach and since Ryukyu is their aunt she can teach then more freely. now the finally! Mix in a little quirk mechanics stuff and add a pinch of character development and ta-da! Youve got chapter 12!
Semi finals round 1
Arashi vs Toru
"Don't you dare hold back on me Soshi! You treat me like any other competitor or you and I are gonna have problems capiche?" Toru demands with an aggressive amount of passion in her voice
Arashi in return sharpens his focus and nods, a serious look appearing on his face
"Good" Toru states, her smirk evident in her tone despite being invisible
When the fight starts Toru flickers her invisibility so lightly and quickly that's you'd miss it if you where anyone but Arashi who was laser focused on her, right up until that point as in that flicker she winked at him just right to scramble his thoughts, buying Toru time to close the gap while he stumbled a step. When Arashi regains his focus, light blush on his face, Toru is in front of him, what follows is an intense battle of martial arts, almost a dance in it's practiced grace, and passion fueled speed. First blood goes to Toru who disabled Arashi's left arm, but he returns the favor when he clips her thigh with his tail while she dodges away from a jab. After a few minutes they separate and Toru looks better off despite her panting and shifting weight off her right leg while rolling her shoulder, Arashi doesn't have use of either arm his right wing or left tail, his left leg is numb and his right is bruised. Through all his damage Arashi has grin plastered on his face, clearly enjoying himself
"What are you smiling about you goon? I'm winning?" Toru asks her big jerk of a crush
"Well you've done crazy well this far, but you forgot something, I've kept it in reserves so I didn't tip my hand to soon and so you'd have a chance to shine like your quirk." Arashi says smiling like the goober he is
"Fuck...your elements" Toru realized to late
With that thought Toru tries to disable him quickly but is blocked by a wall of earth. Toru jumps back but catches more air than intended when Arashi whips up a gust, spinning and disorienting her. When the cyclone finally sets her down it's gently on her bottom out of bounds, with Arashi limping over to her to walk with her out of the stadium.

With the family
"Wow, I haven't seen that boy smile like that in a long time." Ryuko says glad that Arashi is so happy
"Why where they hurting each other though?" Eri asked
"Uni-chan they where sparing and showing everyone how strong they are! They didn't actually hurt each other, and Aniki even set her down soft so she didn't hurt her butt! Probably cuz her thinks it's cute…" yuki says the last part to herself but the rest still hear it
"It looked more like a courtship dance than a fight" Ryuko tells Eri while Inko shakes her head with a smile used to the strange terms and thought process of her dragon like extended family

With Izuku and Yui
Yui had woken up shortly after the semi finals started so she and Izuku went to the 1A stands to watch, or so Izuku could watch while she cuddled up to him. Just before Izuku had to leave Yui decided to reward Him with a kiss on the cheek
"Thank you Midori" Yui whispers to the boy snuggled him briefly than went to her class's section

Semi finals round 2
Shinso vs Izuku
"Wow, to think they let a villain like you continue after what you did to that guy, and over what some ugly side character? Shameful" Shinso states with disdain as the match starts
"Hey! Tha-" when Izuku starts to reply he suddenly falls silent, his eyes don't fade fade like Shinso expects instead his pupils become narrow slits and they light up almost as if there is fire behind them
Shinso doesn't have time to question why because Izuku is surrounded in a votex of emerald flames before revealing Izuku's dragon form about 2 ft bigger than normal. Shinso takes a step back before Izuku flares his wings and let's out an ear splitting roar. Shinso flinched and his quirk deactivates, few notice the slight shake of Izukus head or that his eyes go back to normal, only that with a flap of his massive wings a sends his opponent, who is frozen in fear, sliding across the floor and out of bounds with barely a few scrapes.

1A stands
"So his dragon instincts took over when Shinso used his quirk" Arashi says to himself realizing what happened as soon as it did
"You mean he was like a real dragon just than?!" Toru worried stopping her massage of Arashi's numb arms
"Only briefly, it looked like when he roared he starteled Shinso into deactivating his quirk" Arashi explained
"Did that happen when he beat up bakugo?" Mina asked
"No, not exactly. I think his dragon side was part of it but it was more him eliminating a threat to his mate, and he held back phenominaly well. I know if somebody did that to Toru I'd make the shit stain disappear...permanently" Arashi answers almost growling at the end not aware of what he just said or the conclusion he came to about his feelings for the photomancer
"His mate? Wait did you just call Toru your mate?!" Mina squeals
"I uhhh oh look at that I gotta go fight bye" Arashi deflects poorly after looking at Toru and not being able to decipher what she was feeling
"Uh what's a mate?" Kaminari asks
"Well with them taking about instincts and such I'd assume it's some level of romantic partner" Momo chimes in
"His mate? He likes me?" Toru asks herself stunned by this turn of events

With the family
"Wow Izu got really scary there!" Eri says
"I'm pretty sure his dragon side was in control there" Ryuko comments
"Isn't that dangerous? Should we be worried?" Inko asks already getting nervous
"Not particularly. He'd still view everyone the same just act how a dragon would. Like he'd still see you as his mom. He'd just act around you how a dragon acts around it's mom, make sense?" Ryuko tries to clarify
"So like, if izu sees you as a bad guy instead of detaining you he'd frie you!" Eri chimes in again jostling Yuki who is currently draped over her
"Er more or less, little one" Ryuko confirms wincing
"Ohhhh Izu!" Inko wails

Finals match
Izuku vs Arashi
"Damn my tail's still numb and my wing is outta commision still" arashi says
"Well don't expect me to go easy on ya!" Izuku challenges
"Never!" Arashi smirks
With their banter exchanged the match starts explosively, Izu launches a big fireball at Arashi who blocks with a slab of earth that he launches. Izu generates his green flame wings and takes to the sky lobing fire balls. Arashi forced to block doesn't see the green flames encase some rocks from the previous earth slab, thus when they fly at him he gets hit in the face and staggered. Izu drops an axe kick and Arashi tries to block braving his arms and using helps tails to keep steady, only he's a fraction slow and his numb tail gives out dropping him to the ground allowing Izu to grapple and throw him. When he tried to instinctively slow his flight with his wings only one reacts and sends him spiraling and he drops out of bounds twisting his good wing in the landing.

"And give a hand to our winners today! And here to present their medals is….." Midnight starts
"I AM HERE!" All Might enters
"...All Might!" Midnight finished
All Might proceeds to hand out the medals and congratulate the students before giving an inspirational closing statement

With Arashi and Toru
"Did you mean it? Am I really your mate? Do you really like me?" Toru asks having dropped her invisibility while they are alone wanting him to look her in the face and answer
"I-yes, you are, I do, your incredibly important to me and I care so deeply about you that it startled me, the fact that I thought about you as such with out actually realizing it scared me and I couldn't read how you felt so I kinda fled. I-I hope that you are ok with me liking you like that, or at least don't hate me now, I know I'm not all that much of a catch or very attractive or anything so I get that you probably don't like-" Arashi's self depreciating rambling explanation is interupted by Toru wrapping onto him and attaching herself to him by their lips. After a few minutes of passionate kissing they break apart.
"Of course I like you ya big jerk! No more self depreciating comments! You are a total hunk, and an adorable nerd!" Toru tells him in a stern voice. She gets nervous and pushes a strand of hair behind her ear
"Now you gotta take responsibility, I just gave you my first kiss!" She sorta mumble squeals
When Arashi gives a dazed nod she jumps back into his arms and cuddles him kissing him on the cheek every so often and nuzzling into the crook of his neck. Arashi stands their holding and kissing her while brushing a hand through her fiery hair that's reached down to her lower back now, it's usually tied up but he undid the ribbon, putting her to sleep.

Izuku and Yui elsewhere
"I'm really glad your ok after what the jerk did to you and I'm sorry you where hurt due to associating with me and I'd completely understand if you didn't-"Izuku starts to ramble trying to apologize until Yui flicks him in the forehead silencing him
"Silly, your mine" Yui says. No stupid jerk as gonna scare me off. Your stuck with me
Yui kisses his for head where she flicked than cuddles into him and giving his collar bone a love bite
"I-yea I'm yours and nobody will change that anytime soon" Izuku agrees picking her up and going to the dorms, not seeing Arashi or the still visible Toru

In the 1A dorm after dinner
Arashi sneaks in with a visible and sleeping Toru, after accidently falling asleep. Not seeing anyone he takes her to his room so she can sleep intending to sleep on the couch in the commons, until she tightens around him and keeps him on the bed. Deciding to deal with it later Arashi curls up around her and goes to sleep, never seeing his door crack open, or hearing his aunt call a panicking Mrs. Hagakure to inform her that Toru was tired after the festival and is spending the night in the dorms.
Sooo? Did I do the fights justice? So Izuku has to types of fire, his dragon fire which is his primary attack method, than emerald fire which is a left over from his parents quirks, his emerald fire is essential telekinesis but he can use it to fly he makes it look like wings because it's a more natural and less focus intensive shape for him. The emerald flames also don't have alot of heat to them, closer to a heating blanket. The concept was kinda spur of the moment but I really liked it and feel it brings him and Arashi closer together in power. The lose of control was because Shinso can't mind control animals(as far as I know) so he couldn't dull the dragon side of Izuku letting it to the surface. If your curious Izuku spent his traing refining his quirk same as Toru, while Arashi and Yui focused on their cqc skills, not that Yui got to show them.
