Chapter 8: Three shinobi one spot.

In the hokage's office

Kakashi, Sakura and Naruto are called into the office.

"Kakashi, Sakura, Naruto, your team is one member short, and with the war we must have teams with the required number of members. We have three new genin who will be trying out for that final spot." Tsunade said.

"Did three genin graduate from the academy?" Kakashi asked.

"No, two of them were captured from the 4th Reich, escaped and joined us each with their own reasons. and the other came to join us." Tsunade answered.

There is a knock at the door.

"Bring them in." Tsunade said.

The door opens and Karin, Karl, Mew and Shikamaru walk in.

"Thanks for bringing them, Shikamaru." Tsunade thanked Shikamaru.

"You're welcome." Shikamaru said.

Shikamaru left the office.

"Alright, meet Karin, Karl JanouĊĦek and Mew Bliss." Tsunade introduced.

"Hello there." Mew said.

"So, what do you want me to do with them?" Kakashi asked.

"Give them a test and whoever does the best joins." Tsunade answered.

"Alright, the five of you will spend some time together while I prepare the test. ." Kakashi said.

At Ichiraku ramen.

"So, Karin, Karl and Mew. to get to know each other better, tell us three things you like and dislike and what your goals are. Let's start with you Karl." Sakura said.

"I like cold weather, flying in the air, and fighting. I dislike kids, selfishness, and that damn 4th Reich. My goal is for the allies to win the war, free Yuki and go back to my family. " Karl said.

" That's a great goal. How about you Karin?" Sakura asked.

"I don't like anything. I dislike Arrogance, Cowardice, and Cruelty to others. My goal is to get revenge on Kusa for what they did to my mother. " Karin answered.

"What did they do?" Sakura asked.

"During a war me and my mother were allowed to take refuge in Kusa, on the condition that she healed the villagers' wounded. After a surprise attack my mother upheld her duties despite knowing it would kill her and healed Kusas wounded but died after transferring too much chakra. Then I was forced to heal the villagers against my will." Karin answered.

"I'm so sorry that happened to you." Sakura apologized.

"It's alright." Karin responded.

"So, mew, what do you Like, Dislike and what are your goals.

" I like Music, Art, and Cats. I dislike Dogs, Greed and Anger. My goal is to master as many instruments as possible and to become a great kunoichi and serve this village and protect those within it, and to make Hirohito proud in the process." Mew answered.

Kakashi appears behind them.

"The test is ready so let's go to the training ground." Kakashi said.

At the training ground.

"This test will consist of you delivering this Icha Icha book to the remains of the academy instructors exam building. Me, Naruto and Sakura will stop you at all costs. Any questions?" Kakashi asked.

They don't respond.

"Ok then. Here is the map and the book." Kakashi said giving both items to Karin.

Kakashi disappears in a puff of smoke while Sakura and Naruto choose to stay and combat Karin, Karl and Mew.

"Summoning technique." Mew said.

Mew summons Nekomata a Bakeneko

Nekomata uses cat genjutsu on Naruto. Naruto is being attacked by several illusions of ninneko. Naurto fights the Ninneko he thinks are real. Sakura is about to slap Naruto to dispel the genjutsu quickly, but she is stopped by Karl who grabs her wrist. Karl lets go of her wrist then hits her with twin rising knees where Karl delivers a knee to Sakura's jaw then hits her with another knee to the jaw sending her into the air. Karl then throws many paralyses poison drenched senbon at Sakura. The senbon paralyzes Sakura. She falls towards the ground, but she is caught by Karin.

"Why not kill her so we can get on the team?" Mew asked.

"It's because it's morally wrong, plus it could be a part of the test you never know." Karl said.

"Let's just tie up Naruto on one of the logs and then continue with the test, there may be a hidden time limit." Karin said.

"Good thinking." Karl responded.

They tie up Naruto but too naruto it seems like the cats are tying him up.

"I feel sorry for him, I'm going to dispel the genjutsu." Mew said.

"NO! Any basic shinobi can escape from ropes with ease, leave him here." Karl responded.

"That's kinda hypocritical since it's morally wrong and when I suggested killing Sakura, you said we shouldn't do it because it was morally wrong." Mew said.

Karl was speechless.

"She's got me cornered with her argument, could she have asked that question to corner farther down the road? She's a clever one." Karl thought.

"Let's focus on the task at hand, we need to get this book to the assigned location." Karin said.

"Right." Karl said.

Mew just gave a smile and they left to continue their test.

They are in a thicket of bamboo. Several kunai bounce off the bamboo and are headed in Karl, Karin and Mews direction. They dodge and look around. They see nobody. Suddenly their visions become blurry.

"Stay close, this is a genjutsu." Karin said.

"Release." Karl said.

Karl attempts to release the genjutsu but it fails. They start to feel drowsy and soon fall asleep.

Karl wakes up and sees his family dead in a large pool of blood.

"I assume that jonin still doesn't understand that genjutsu of this level won't work on me." Karl thought.

"But maybe that wasn't the point, I assume I'm far away from my teammates, so I must find them before it's too late." Karl thought.

Karlt then searches for Karina and Mew.

Mew wakes up and sees hirohito dead in a pool of blood.

"This can't be." Mew said with tears running down her face.

She starts shaking and crying uncontrollably. She grabs her sword and is about to kill herself until a man grabs her wrist.

"What are you doing?" A man asked.

Mew was unable to respond but pointed to the place where Hirohito was dead.

"Is she caught in a genjutsu? Or is this something else." The man thought.

"Release." the man said then tapped on the girl's shoulder.

The illusion of Hirohito's death disappears.

Mew hugs the man, shocking him.

"What is this girl doing? But why complain? She's beautiful." The man thought.

"May you please tell me what the hell is going on?" The man asked.

She stops shaking and crying and speaks

"It seems I was in a genjutsu. It showed Hirohito, my caretaker and teacher, dead. It was too much for me to handle because of my condition." Mew answered.

"Really, what condition?" the man asked.

"It's called Emotional override syndrome. (Authors note this is not a real thing) It's where I can't handle too much emotion." Mew answered.

"I see." The man responded.

"So, what's your name?" Mew asked.

"Chance Aura-Sun" Chance introduced.

"My name's Mew." Mew Introduced.

"A unique and beautiful name for a unique and beautiful woman," Chance compliments.

Mew blushes and speaks

"It was nice meeting you Chance, I'm currently in the middle of a test and I must complete it." Mew said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to be an obstacle in completing your test." Chance apologized.

"It's fine, in fact you helped me get out of an awful situation and I hope I can repay you in the future." Mew said.

"If it makes you happy you can repay me all you want." Chance said.

"I will. Bye Chance." Mew said.

"Bye Mew." Chance said.

Mew left to continue the test.

"What was that?! You weren't supposed to tell anybody your identity."

"It's fine lucifer, I mean what's the leaf village going to do. Give me more reason to join the axis." Chance said to himself.

"That could lead to unfortunate events." Lucifer said inside of Chance's mind.

"I don't give a shit." Chance responded.

"Fine." Lucifer said.

At Karin

Karin wakes up but sees nothing but forest.

She is attacked by an Amegakure ninja wielding a sword.

Karin draws a kunai and defends herself with it.

The Ame nin then throws a straight edged fuma shuriken to which Karin dodges.

Karin manifests chains that restrain the Ame nin.

"Hold on." The ame nin says.

The ame nin takes off his mask to reveal Iruka Umino.

"I'm Iruka Umino, an instructor at the academy, Kakashi asked me to help with the test he was going to give you, the other two were affected with the Demonic Illusion: Hell, Viewing Technique but it seems that you weren't affected so i was forced to attack you. Since you defeated me, you may proceed with the test." Iruka explained.

"I see." Karins said.

Karin frees Iruka.

Karin then continues the test.

Karin makes it to the building.

"Great, they are not here." Karin said to herself.

"I might as well rest and wait for the other two to arrive." Karin said to herself.

She naps on the ground.

Mew and Karl eventually find her and wake her up.

"So, you finally made it." Karin said.

"Yeah, sorry for taking so long, it's not like we had a map or anything." Karl said sarcastically.

"Take it easy, I'm sure the jonin will be here soon." Mew said.

Kakashi arrives an hour later.

"So, it seems you passed the test, Originally i was supposed to stop you along the way but the test changed at the last minute when Iruka and Mozuku gave me a good idea, place you all in genjutsus and see how you reacted, Karl was unfazed, Mew had a mental breakdown and would have suffered worse had that kid named Chance not help you out, i forgot to mention outside help was illegal, my fault. Karin was unaffected by the genjutsu so Iruka had to attack you and you defended yourself impressively, but you didn't even think about helping your teammates which is horrible and someone with that mindset is unfitting to be on my team. And when it came to combat Karin i assume you're a healer since you did nothing, but you did save Sakura which was a great thing to do, Karl and Mew did excellent. Overall, Karl is the best out of all of you and he didn't fail the test like Mew did and we already have a healer in Sakura, so we don't need another. So, Karl congratulations you are now the new member of team 7" Kakashi said.

"Too easy." Karl said.

"Dang it." Mew said, lowering her head.

"It's not illegal for Genin to not have a sensei. You will still be able to participate in missions and serve this village like you wanted." Karin said.

"How did you know how well we did on the test?" Karl asked.

"Iruka, Mozuku and I monitored you and with all of the information gathered I made my decision." Kakashi answered.

"Now I'm going to tell the hokage my decision, you can do whatever." Kakashi said.

Kakashi disappears in a cloud of smoke.
