Hey, it's been a while and honestly it's my fault between work and school I was having a hard time finding time. I was writing this and realized it needed to come out soon so I would let the people reading it down (even if there are only a few of you). Sorry for the delay. This chapter might be harder to understand for people who haven't watched some of the movies or read any other fiction involving a certain species of Pokemon. Enjoy!
Finally they touched down just outside the Charicific valley and Ash dismounted Mega Pidgeot. "Pidgeot thank you return" Ash thanked his Pokemon.
The Majestic bird returned to its ball. Ash turned and walked into the place where he knew he could find his friend. Liza saw the young trainer and recognized him instantly. The women knew what he'd come for or rather whom he'd come for. "Liza thank you for allowing me to return to pick up Charizard I trust Professor Oak told you why I've come."
"Of course Ash your always welcome here before you go to meet Charizard I have a gift from Riley for you" she said as she presented him with an egg and ancient aura master uniform.
"A pokemon egg? Do we know whats inside?"
"I trust we will in a moment" Liza said
The egg shook twice then cracked and a small blue pokemon emerged and Ash remembered his time with Riley. The Aura master had told him that he possessed the power of aura. Ash knew why he was sent this Pokemon. "Hello Riolu, Im Ash and this is Pikachu" Ash greeted his knew found Pokemon.
Then something in the back of his mind spoke. Hello Master "Huh" Ash was shocked his Pokemon had just spoken.
I'm communicating using our powerful Aura's close your eyes and focus and you will be able to feel the Aura within everything around you and communicate with me without speaking. Riolu had a focused look on its face. Ash took in a deep breath and focused he could feel the air around him buzzing slightly as he reached out to find another Aura. "I found you, I never knew I could do this much."
You are a descendant of the great one master. He could also do this. Riolu stared into the eyes of his master as they shared the silent conversation.
Ash realized he hadnt said a word in over a minute. Pikachu and Liza stared at him with confused expressions. "Alright Riolu lets become the best team ever!"
"Can we go see Charizard now?" Ash asked Liza politely.
"Of course Ash."
Charizard swooped in moments later as they walked out into an open area. "Hey buddy its great to see you." Ash said excitedly.
Charizard responded by scorching Ash for fun. Everyone was laughing and then it was time to say goodbye. Ash informed Liza of where they would be and told her that hed be around to talk with professor Oak and switch out his Pokemon.
"Goodbye Ash and may the best of luck be with you"
"Thank you"
"One more thing" she called after him. " Ive noticed your key stone and thought you might want this." She held up a charizardite y.
"Now your Charizard can mega evolve when needed." She said
"Thats amazing thank you Liza"
And then they continued their walk out into the mountains.
Six Months Later…
"ONIX!" The very large angry rock type swung its tail and smacked Riolu into a wall.
"Riolu!" Ash called out to his pokemon who had dropped to the ground.
Ash looked up into the eyes of the Onix and glared defiantly as it began to move towards him. Then it made its move as it tried to slam into Ash with and iron head. Then it was stopped just before impact. The Pokemon and Ash both opened their eyes to see why there was no squished human on the wall of the cave. Riolu was standing in front of Ash with its fist planted on the beasts forehead. The two pokemon wouldn't move an inch. Suddenly a bright light filled then cave as riolu began to glow. "Its evolving" Ash said with a quiet voice. Him and Riolu had grown close but he hadn't been expecting it to evolve yet.
The blue light flashed away and then stood a very angry looking Lucario. "Alright Lucario." Ash yelled ready to finish this battle. "Use Aura Sphere!"
Of Course Master. The pokemon gathered its aura into a very focused ball and hurled it at the onix who fainted immediately. The battle was over. Ash had another brand new Pokemon who he had a deep connection with.
1 year later…
The Kalos championship started in a month and Ash had never felt more ready. He was missing one of his best friends from that region, though but still felt prepared.
Oak had congratulated his growth in the past year last week. In the year spent away Ash had began training all of his pokemon in intervals as well as searched for mega stones in the mountain. His full roster of Pokemon was now Pikachu, Charizard-MY, Pidgeot-M, Lucario-M, Garchomp-M, Venesaur-M, Sceptile-M, Blastoise-M, Heracross-M, Glaile-M, Kingler, Muk, Tauros, Snorlax, Meganium, Typhlosion, Feraligatr, Donphan, Noctowl, Swellow, Crauduant, Torkoal, Staraptor, Infernape, Torterra, Floatzel, Gliscor, Unfezent, Samurott, Emboar, Serperior, Scrafty, Levanny, Seismitoad, Gigalith(Traded back and forth with Liza), Krookodile, Talonflame, Hawlucha, and Noivern. All of his pokemon had been trained to their full potential and Oak and Ash believed they were ready to return.
1 month later…
Ash had not been in the open to anyone in over a year. He'd gotten taller and stronger, but still had that boyish energy that everyone loved. He looked around what had become his home for the last time before leaving to go and fly to Kalos and register in the morning.
Perspective change
Serena
The Kalos queen was dreaming about a boy with raven hair and a big goofy yet endearing smile. The boy she hadn't seen in over a year after they shared a kiss. She'd heard the news about him going missing from May whom she met while adventuring in the Hoenn. She'd immediately jumped on the next plane to Kanto to search. She'd met Ash's mother who smiled at her with a knowing look and told her that Ash had just left without telling her anything. Of course Serena had continued looking but with no such results. Then Kalos' championship was announced and she knew she'd have to go because if she knew Ash he'd wanna come back bigger than ever, assuming he was still out there…
No she couldn't think like that. She was gonna smack that boy when she saw him again.
Back to Ash now
Ash
Ash dawned the Aura Master uniform for the first time. He wanted to stay anonymous for the time being. At least until his first battle. He picked up six pokeballs, four had pokemon one was pikachu's, the last one was for the friend he was getting when he got there. He finished packing and then left the cave undisturbed as if hed never been there. "Pidgeot I choose you" he called out.
He boarded his pokemon and they took off towards the airport.
Later
Ash awoke to the intercom "Ladies and Gentlemen we are beginning our descent over the Kalos region and once again thank you for flying with us."
It was a standard announcement but it made Ash shaky. This was a huge event, and he was closer to her than he had been in a long time. He took a deep breath as the plane hit the runway and people began grabbing their things. Ash grabbed his backpack off the ground and keep his hood pulled low over his face as they began departing from the plane. The airport was busy as ever with the championships the next week. Mainly because this year also had entertainment between matches in the form of contests and showcases. As he was leaving he wasnt paying attention and ran straight into Dawn. "Opps sorry miss" he said instantly. Then he looked into her eyes and realized who it was.
"Ow, How bout you watch where your going" she yelled at him angrily.
She felt something about this man she couldn't see his face but it was a presence she hadn't felt in a long time. It reminded her of the boy she had feelings for years ago. "Wait…" she tried to say but he was already gone, disappearing into the crowd.
Ash walking to the woods closed his eyes and extended his aura out looking for a familiar one. Lucario had taught him this trick after they realized how strong their auras could be. They didn't even talk while battling anymore; it was instant commands. Suddenly he heard a slight movement behind him and turned to see Greninja standing there with Squishy on his shoulder. "Greninja, your back," Ash said.
"Ja"
"Would you like to finish what we started"
"Gren" Greninja reached his arm out
Ash recognized this instantly and put his out as well. They were ready.
