Wow… Wow, wow, wow. Last time I updated this story was October of last year. Over SIX months ago! Jesus Christ this is awkward… Anyway, hello everyone!
Yeah, I know this isn't the chapter most of you were looking for, but then again, it's better to give you guys something sooner than nothing at all and make you wait longer, right? I haven't been able to work on this story for quite a few reasons, but what's the biggest one? Lack of time.
Right around the end of February, I started my senior year of high school. Little did I know how hard and time-consuming it would be, and I'm only 2 months and a half in… Projects everywhere, a lot of other things outside of school I need to take care of, etc. etc. etc. Everyone's in a rush to go to college and shit like that. I've just been really stressed lately with all the work I have to do.
This isn't the only reason, though. Around the time I last updated this fic, a beloved fictional character in one of my favorite web series died an unfortunate death (the series is SMG4, so if you watch it you probably know what I mean). This really hit hard as he was one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite. Luckily, I stumbled upon a Discord server comprised of people making a fangame of this character to preserve his memory. They, too, were mourning, so I decided to join and see what I could do. And boy, I didn't realize at the time how I would spend SOOOOOO much of my time on that server it's unreal. I met the best mates I could ever have and I had way too much fun in the six months I've been there, xD. First time I went in I even met my future girlfriend! Around the end of February I told her about my feelings, she reciprocated, and we've been dating for…let's see…3 MONTHS once May 23rd hits! I'm the happiest I could ever be, and we're going so strong I'm confident we'll be together for much, much longer than that! :)
Finally, I kinda stopped playing Bloons a couple months ago, but only because I've been caught up in other games that caught my eye, and I just couldn't stop coming back to those. I got Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain around this time, and I just can't put it down xD. It's just that good! And funny! I'm not saying I don't like Bloons anymore, though. That game is like Minecraft for me; I will never get tired of it, but I do need to take a break from playing every once in a while. Hopefully I'll pick it back up soon enough. I've been missing a bunch of cool shit. I missed the Lich boss completely and utterly, and I don't know if they added any more bosses. Paragons, too! Apart from the Dart and Boomerang monkeys, have they added any others!? PLEEEAAASE tell me a Dartling or Sniper Paragon is coming soon! I beg of you Ninja Kiwi!
Anyway, now you know why I haven't been updating lately, yadda yadda yadda, WHEN IS THE NEXT CHAPTER COMING!? I…don't have a date for that. I'm truly, very sorry… These reasons are still big today and are taking up a lot of my time, so it's hard to say. If you really want an estimate, I'd say…the beginning of 2023. It'll probably be sooner than that, but I have to overestimate to not let myself down. I'm hoping to get the next chapter done at the very LEAST before October of this year, but let's see what happens.
Now let's be honest, I did warn you something like this might happen! I told you guys it might take me quite a few months between chapters, but let's look at the absolute worst case scenario: it takes me for fucking ever to update. It would really sadden me if I'm that busy, but on the bright side, Chapter 5 wrapped up the first story arc for this fic, and I believe it's a good chapter to make a makeshift ending while you guys wait. I hate leaving you guys with a cliff-hanger, so I'm lucky I was able to put that out before my inactivity. There are 2 more story arcs in my mind, possibly 3 or 4, but most likely 2. A sequel to this fic? Very unlikely unless people ADORE this and someone is willing to help me with ideas. My creative side gets fried easily.
With all that being said, thank you for reading this A/N… If you're tired of waiting I seriously can't blame you, I'd feel the same if I was in your position. If you're willing to wait even more for the next update, though, thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so patient with me and understanding what's been happening. Thank you to everyone who read this and to everyone who left reviews, kudos, favorites, etc. I'll try to come back soon, I'll really try, but I can't promise anything, sorry…
