Chapter 9: Revenge Against The Crocodile
Gon and Yugi are on a hillside near a path to a tall pinpoint mountain.
Yugi: There it is. The Mountain Ruins.
Gon: Why are we going there?
Yugi: I heard there is some powerful creature living there. We might need some help there.
Gon: Sounds dangerous, but OK. Let's go.
Yugi transforms into Yami and he and Gon made their way to the mountain, where they came across some Shellpods and Boom Primids. Yami summons the Curse of Dragon and it breathes fire at the Shellpods and Boom Primids, taking them out. Gon and Yami proceeds forward, dodging some Jyks, and jumping over a series of spikes on the ground. When they reached the next area, they got ambushed by some Puppits and a Shellpod. Gon uses Jajanken Scissors on the Shellpod, while the Curse of Dragon breathes fire at the Puppits. They took out the enemies and proceed to the next area. They broke through a series of blocks that leads to a tunnel with an elevator. They used the elevator and it takes them up to a cliff, where they got attacked by giant totem-like enemies called Gamygas.
Gon: What are those things?
Yami: I don't know, but we better take them out!
The Gamygas fired their lasers at the Curse of Dragon, taking it out. Yami then summons Buster Blader, who takes out the Gamygas with his sword. Gon and Yami proceeds to the next area, where they encountered more Puppits and Borboras. Gon uses Jajanken Paper on the enemies, taking them out. He and Yami then came across a series of platforms in a canyon. They jumped over the platforms, which as soon as they landed, the platforms started sinking. They repeated the process, while also dodging the Jyks, until they reached the end of the canyon and entered a tunnel. The tunnel has a huge lake of lava and some more platforms.
Gon: Great! Now we have a lake of lava to cross over?
Yami: Look on the bright side. At least there are more platforms to jump over.
They jumped over a series of more platforms over the lava lake and reached the end, where they got attacked by the Fire Primids. There was also a series of fire pillars in the tunnel. Gon delivers punches and kicks on the Fire Primids, taking them out. Buster Blader saw a button on the ceiling and jumps over to press it, deactivating the flame pillars. Gon and Yami proceeds through the tunnel until they got ambushed by some Armights. Buster Blader takes out the Armights with his sword and Gon and Yami jumps down the pit and proceeds to the next room, where they got ambushed by Normal Primids and fire versions of Glunders called Glires.
Gon: Look out! An ambush!
Yami: At least those are weak enemies, so they should be easy to take out.
The Glires opened up their bodies to unleash fire, but Gon and Buster Blader easily dodges their attacks. Gon grabs the Glires with his fishing rod and threw them at the Primids. They took out the enemies and proceed to the next room, where they encountered some Trackballs and Nagagogs. The Nagagogs body slams Buster Blader, taking him out. Gon hits the Trackballs to take out the Nagagogs. He and Yami proceeds to the next room with a big platform and two floating platforms, where they got ambushed by more Glires, Fire Primids, and Scope Primids.
Gon: Oh come on! How many more enemies are there?
Yami summons Berfomet and Gazelle the King of Mystical Beasts. He then uses Polymerization to combine two monsters to become Chimera the Flying Mystical Beast. Chimera fires red energy beams from it's two heads at the Glires, Fire Primids, and Scope Primids, taking them all out. Gon and Yami proceeds to a huge room with a big platform with three floating platforms. They went on the platform and it moves up, where they got ambushed by more Glires and Armights. Yami uses Swords of Revealing Light to trap all the enemies with his light swords, allowing Gon to take them out with his Jajanken Scissors. They proceed to the next room with an elevator. The elevator takes them up to the front of a temple inside the mountain.
Gon: Hey Yami. Is this the right way?
Yami: This is the entrance to the Mountain Ruins. This is definitely the right way.
?: Sorry, kids. But you made it this far!
They looked up to see someone jump down at them. The two boys leapt out of the way. Crocodile is right in front of them.
Crocodile: Hahaha! Don't think I'd let you get away so easily.
Gon looks up and gasps.
Gon: You! You're the one who took away Yusuke!
Crocodile: Oh, it's you again. What's the matter? Gonna run away again?
Gon: No! This time, I'll make you pay for what you've done to Yusuke!
He grasps his fist and got in his stances.
Yami: That goes for Natsu too!
Yami got in his stances too.
Crocodile: HA! You think a couple of kids like you could defeat me? I'll crush you both!
The battle begins with Gon using Fortify to increase his defense and punching Crocodile, but his fist went through Crocodile's body, which was made of sand. Crocodile uses Desert Spada to turn his right arm into a sand blade, stab Gon, and strike the ground with his blade, creating a fissure of sand. Chimera slashes at Crocodile with it's claws, but it's attack went through Crocodile's body. Crocodile then stabs Chimera with his Poison Hook on his left arm, damaging it. He then uses Sable to create a sand tornado, destroying Chimera.
Gon: It's no good! Not only is he powerful, none of our attacks are working against him!
Crocodile: Fools! It's because I have the powers of the Sand-Sand Logia Fruit. It makes me invincible to any physical attacks.
Yami: If Crocodile is invincible to physical attacks, then there is only one other choice to stop him!
Yami inserts a card in his slot on his Duel Disk. When Crocodile uses Desert La Spada to fire sand blades from his left arm, Yami reveals his Trap Card on his deck called Spellbinding Circle, which traps Crocodile in a magic circle.
Crocodile: WHAT? What is this?
Yami: This is my Trap Card, Spellbinding Circle! It weakens your powers and you cannot attack!
Gon: That was incredible, Yami! Now let's finish him!
Yami summons Gaia the Fierce Knight and Summoned Skull. He then inserts the Black Luster Ritual Card to sacrifice Gaia and Summoned Skull to summon Black Luster Soldier. Black Luster Soldier fires a sword cutter from his sword at Crocodile, doing alot of damage to him.
Yami: That was for Natsu!
Then Gon uses Jajanken Rock to deliver a powerful punch on Crocodile, doing alot more damage to him.
Gon: And that was for Yusuke!
The last attack sent Crocodile flying to the air.
Crocodile: This can't be! How could I lose to some brats? AAAAAHHHHH!
He disappears into the sky and came down in his trophy form. Yami returns the cards back to his deck, making Black Luster Soldier disappear.
Gon & Yami: We did it!
They high-fived. Gon then remembers about Yusuke. He looks around for him, but he wasn't around.
Gon: I wonder where Yusuke is.
He looks down in sadness. Yami puts his hand on his shoulder.
Yami: Don't worry, Gon. We'll find him. But right now, we have to explore the Mountain Ruins.
Gon nods and they turned to the ruins and entered it. Meanwhile, back at Discord's Castle, Discord was busy looking at the trophies he had taken from Crocodile. He had just finished dusting off the Yusuke trophy.
Discord: Ahh, much better. Hmm...One thing missing.
He pulls out two Discord badges from his "sleeves" and places them on Keroro's nose and Yusuke's shirt. As he was about to put one on the Sakura Haruno trophy, he realizes he was all out. The last one was on him. He sighs and takes it off and places it on Sakura.
Discord: There...better.
Then all of a sudden, a rumble was heard throughout the castle. Discord looks around to see who it was. Then he saw the roof was falling on him. One part of the ceiling hits him on the head.
Discord: Ahh, what pretty little birds.
He fell to the ground. As the rest of the roof fell down, Frieza and his troops leaps down and looks around.
Frieza: Hmm...Now where is that Sakura trophy?
As he and his troops looked under the rubble, he found what he was looking for.
Frieza: Ahh, there you are!
He picks up the Sakura trophy and went through a hole in the wall. Under the rubble, the Yusuke and Keroro trophies were laid on the ground and Discord was turned into a trophy as well.
That's it for chapter 9. Next time, Goku and Naruto's group will try to save Sakura from Frieza, while Gon and Yami will explore the Mountain Ruins.
