It was fifteen minutes after Yu's match with Axel and the two of them were with Blair, Nanako, and the other members of the Investigation Dorm.
"Are you sure you two are ok?" Blair asked.
"Yeah... But I don't get what happened." Axel admitted.
"I have a feeling Professor Viper knows what happened." Chie mentioned before Nanako gasped.
"Nanako?" Blair asked hearing that.
"Big bro... that's why you didn't want me to come... because of when I was kidnapped right?" Nanako asked looking down.
"Well now it's over with. You don't need to worry now." Jaden assured her with a smile.
She nodded before hugging Yu as he hugged her back.
"Well, what do we do now?" Kanji asked. "Tell Dr. Crowler or Yuzu about what happened?"
"Well like I said, you have a soldier on you side." Axel said bumping his chest, "But we need to get some sleep for the morning."
"You guys get some rest, there's something I need to take care of really quick." Yu mentioned.
"You want someone to go with ya?" Jaden asked him.
"No, I'll be alright." Yu answered.
He nodded as they went to their rooms while Yu walks off.
The next day...
"Glad to see your alright." Jesse said outside the dorm as they walked out.
"Yeah." Yosuke nodded.
"What happened?" Jesse asked them.
"Well, Yu, and Axel were throwing down but they gotten exhausted." Jaden admitted to him.
Jesse nodded before asking, "Weirdest thing people are saying Yu's retiring from dueling."
BITE!
"AH!" Hassleberry screamed suddenly causing them to turn startled, "I've been hit! Agh!"
He gotten down showing Shirley had bit him at his butt as he said weakly, "Requesting backup."
"Down girl! Heel!" Jim called running over to where he's seeing this patting Shirley's head, "What's gotten into you Shirley?"
After getting her off Hassleberry said spitefully, "I'll tell you what's gotten into her! My rear end!"
"Sorry mate, but she's not responsible for her behavior." Jim admitted to him.
"I thought you said she was well trained." Chie snapped.
"She is, but it isn't her fault." Jim told her putting Shirley back on his back saying to her, "Yesterday something weird is going on in the air."
Hearing that Rise frowned. "Come Kouzeon."
It appeared which made the three students, Blair, and Nanako look amazed.
"He's right, there's definitely something going on, but it doesn't feel like a Shadow at least." Rise admitted as her Persona vanished. "It might be related to what happened to Yu-sempai and Axel though."
"Well look." Jim said taking out a control which shows something is going haywire.
"What's that?" Blair asked him.
"This is something that measures vibrations in the atmosphere. Normally there's a balance between positive, and negative energy. But that's not the case here." Jim answered.
"So... there's too much negative?" Yukiko asked.
"Yes, and it's triggering's Shirley's primal instincts. The best thing to do is to find the source." Jim answered.
"Alright, then some of us should go with you and the rest of us should talk with Professor Viper." Naoto suggested calmly.
"No, I think all of us should mate." Jim told her, "Cause, I think both our problems are related."
"And if they aren't?" Kanji asked. "Look, Ted and I can go talk to that creep while the rest of you check what's going on with that energy thing."
"Trust me someone's already onto Viper." Jim told him.
"Fine, but if this happens again we're taking it directly to Viper." Yu pointed out. "All of us."
Jim only nodded as they all walked together as studies the environment, and answers to Nanako's confused glance, "Wildlife conservation is a hobby of mine mate, so I'm always making sure the environment is safe for Shirley."
"Wow, so you take care of animals?" Nanako asked with a smile. "That's really cool, you're a nice person."
"I met Shirley by saving her from a trap which cost me my eye here as a matter of fact." Jim smiled to her.
Hearing that Nanako frowned. "I'm sorry you got hurt."
"Ah, as long as Shirley's okay." Jim said before his controller starts beeping, "Huh?"
The bushes started moving by themselves which makes Shirley start being aggressive growling as Jim took off his bandana, "Easy girl."
He wrapped it around her eyes to calm her down. Suddenly Teddie started trembling as Hassleberry began grunting.
"Teddie?" Jasmine asked seeing her boyfriend like that.
"Something's wrong... there's something wrong here Jazzy-chan." Teddie told her before shaking more. "Something bad."
"That might be what's causing all these vibrations." Syrus said hearing that before turning to his girlfriend, "Can you sense where it's coming from Rise?"
"I can try." she nodded. "Come Kouze..."
Suddenly Hassleberry roared as his eyes changed and he started growling aggressively.
"Huh?" they looked over to him as Axel asked, "What's gotten into him?"
"The vibrations might be more aggravating then I thought." Jim said trying to keep Shirley still, "But why is it affecting him?"
Suddenly Jaden gasped, "Wait, it might be cause Hassleberry's part animal!"
"Huh?" Yukiko asked hearing that.
"He told us sometime back that he had an accident after finding a fossil so they gave him a bone from a Dinosaur to treat him!" Jaden explained to them, "So he has Dinosaur Blood in him, and if the vibrations are really effected her then it's affecting him as well."
That was when the team remembered sometimes Hassleberry's eyes turned to reptile slits.
"Then... he's going primal?" Blair asked in shock.
She then screamed as Hassleberry charged at her.
Seeing that Yosuke dived and shoved her out of the way.
"This is bad, what are we supposed to do?" Jaden asked nervously.
Suddenly a skeleton warrior tackled Hassleberry snapping him out of it, "Wha... What's going on?"
"Jim?" Axel asked seeing that.
"I figured by using something as primitive as he is." Jim said revealing he had summoned the skeleton warrior, "And if it snapped him off like that then maybe the waves will be more balanced if a duel happens."
"So you're challenging one of us?" Yosuke noted with a frown. "Well, who do you want to duel?"
"Why not you?" Jim asked turning to Blair, "He was after you so maybe you might have a high positive impact on the waves."
She looked surprised before smiling. "Alright."
With that they got in position.
"Ladies first?" Blair asked.
"Yes." Jim answered.
"GAME ON!"

Blair 1st Turn:
'I don't know his deck, so I'll play defensively for now.' Blair thought. "I set two cards and play a monster in defense mode. That's all."
Jim 1st Turn:
'She didn't show me what monsters she specializes in... Oh well no need to dull on that.' Jim thought before calling, "My draw! And to start this off, I'll be summoning this fella! Weathering Soldier!"
A rock like golem appeared.

Blair frowned seeing that. "2000 attack points?"
"And then, I'll be activate the field zone, Catapult Zone!" Jim called as they appeared in a rocky wasteland.

"And now Soldier charge in!" Jim called as his monster charged at Blair's monster.

"So your monster gets weaker?" Blair asked before smiling. "That's good for me, I summon Mystic Baby Magician."
A small chick in a broken egg shell appeared.

Mystic Baby Magician in her graveyard glowed before she can declare the attack.
"What's going on?" Chie asked her.
"Since she just Tributed Baby Magician she can either add an Egg card to her hand, or banish a card from his graveyard." Nanako answered.
"Actually, that's optional and I don't use that effect this time." Blair explained.
"Well I'll activate be activating, Quaking Mirror Force!" Jim called.

"Well my Soldier's own ability adds a special card to my hand." Jim said adding a card.
"I end my turn." Blair smiled. 'Ok, with Mystic Revolution and Mystic Horn facedown I can summon another of my monsters and win the duel on my next turn.'
Jim 2nd Turn:
"Okay, mate draw!" Jim called drawing before grinning, "And to start I'll activate Fossil Fusion!"
He shows a card that's shaped like Polymerization but has orange dinosaurs.

Fusion Summon 1 "Fossil" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, by banishing Fusion Materials listed on it from any GYs (except for materials with a specific GY requirement listed). If a face-up "Fossil" Fusion Monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect, while this card is in your GY: You can add this card from the GY to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Fossil Fusion" once per turn.
"Fossil Fusion?" Blair asked.
"It uses the remains of two monsters in the graveyard, and fuses it to summon a brand new Fossil!" Jim called before a rock showing Fossils of Weathering Soldier, and Baby Magician appeared raising up.
"Fusing with monsters in the graveyard?" Jaden asked. "Sweet card Jim."
The two fused as Jim called, "Now I bring out, Fossil Dragon Skullgar!"
A small skeleton dino appeared growling.

Blair's eyes widened seeing the monster. "Wow."
"And now Skullgar attack that Egg!" Jim called as Skullgar stomped over, "And then when Skullgar attacks your monster in Defense Mode, you still take damage!"
Blair's eyes widened as her monster shattered.

"Since Corrupted Egg was destroyed we both banish a monster from our Extra Deck." Blair told him.
A card vanished from Jim's Deck.
"I don't use my Extra Deck so I don't banish anything." Blair mentioned. "Anything else?"
"No mate. Your up." Jim told her.

Blair drew her card and smiled. "I play my facedown card Mystic Horn."

"Well now Catapult Zone's effect sends Gaia Plate the Earth Giant to my graveyard!" Jim called sending the card.
"Well that isn't enough. Mystic Magician attack him directly." Blair called.
The Magician charged but paused seeing Skullgar's still in play.
"Huh?" Blair asked. "What happened?"
"It's Catapult Zone's effect." Jim answered as they see a Catapult had fired where Gaia Plate had been in front of Mystic Dragon's attack saving Skullgar.
"Oh, so it protects your monsters?" Yosuke asked. "That's a powerful effect."
"But your Magician's attack will finish the match." Jim told Blair as Magician finished the attack.
Blair: 1000
Jim: 0000
Blair wins the duel!
When the duel ended their Bio Bands started glowing again before Blair's eyes widened and she gasped before passing out.
"Blair!" Nanako cried running to her.
"We need to take her to the infirmary." Yu said quickly.
"Agh..." Jim knelled breathing, "Ah... Seems like our problems are related."
Seeing that Kanji frowned before walking over. "Here, you should get to then infirmary too. Lean on my shoulder."
Jim at that got up on Kanji, "Thanks mate."
He nodded.
Later...
"How are they doing?" Nanako asked Nurse Fointaine.
"James is doing well but I'm worried about Blair, whatever happened... she's very weak. She needs her rest." Nurse Fontaine answered.
"Might be cause she's younger." Yosuke admitted to them.
"Yeah, I think so too and... huh, who's that?" Chie asked noticing someone at the door.
It was a pale skinned boy having on a fancy Ra Yellow Blazer looking out of breath on the doorframe asking, "Blair... Is Blair okay!?"
"She will be... um?" Teddie started. "Who are you?"
"Oh... Marcel." the boy answered as Rise senses something different about him.
"You're worried about Blair?" Yukiko guessed.
"Yeah... In fact she, and Nanako are the only ones that take a care for me otherside my father." Marcel admits.
"Your dad?" Chie asked.
"I don't want to say anything. It's personal." Marcel mentioned.
"I understand, well Blair should be ok if she rests." Jaden told him.
Marcel got passed them getting beside her bed holding her hand with his own hands, "Blair."
Nanako frowned seeing that. "Can we stay with her big bro?"
Yu nodded to her, "Stay close to her, Nanako."
She nodded.
Ulrich362: Poor Blair.
bopdog111: She has her best friend, and someone close with her. Though what was it that Rise felt around him?
Ulrich362: Hopefully we find out soon before something bad happens. Also, the next chapter would be Adrian using his Cloudians against Chazz but since we've already seen those it'll be something else.
