In a darkened room with a single light shining down at the middle, a man stood at the center. In the shadows, several individuals, ranging in size and shape, masculine to feminine. The man at the center was rather tall and very muscular with a medium-dark skin tone; strong, rugged features, broad shoulders, and a square jaw. He also has three pale scars across his face, brown eyes, and black long hair pulled back. For clothes, he wore a long lapelless dark-blue coat with a red stripe on the edges. He also dons black gloves and boots. Currently, the man was surrounded by several screens, each one depicting a specific individual, a young man wearing white, blue, and black armor. On his chest was the letter "M".

From the letter, a small drone emerged in a bright blue flash. It had a small main body with two arms emerging from the sides. It hovered next to the man and the two gave a fist bump before the drone hovered in front of the man who crossed his arms. The drone's arms suddenly locked into a position, creating the letter "M" before slamming into the man's chest. A sudden eruption of blue energy came from the individual as the suit the man was wearing broke into hundreds of hexagons before reforming into a much larger and bulkier suit, maintaining the same coloring and style. The same happened on the other screens, only with different suits; varying from suits that could fly, to super speed and even shoot fire.

"Of all the members of The Team," said the man, his voice very deep and grave, "Max Steel is the most troublesome. He and the Ultralink, N'Baro Aksteel X377 are far more capable than the other members, and as such, pose the greatest threat to our plans."

"We are aware, Vandal," said a voice, stepping into the light was another man, while not nearly as tall as Vandal, he was still just as daunting with green eyes. He has black hair with gray streaks, a long black mustache, and wild, black eyebrows. Not dissimilar to how Vandal dresses, this man was clothed in regal attire, with the majority of his clothes covered by a high-collared green cloak with large gold buttons. Underneath, he wears a black vest with gold hems, a white undershirt, and a golden sash. He wears black pants and knee-high black boots, "Max Steel has proved to be quite the challenge to all of the Lights' agendas."

"And challenges will not be allowed to remain," stated Vandal. However, the moment was interrupted by a low, almost mocking chuckle along with heavy footsteps.

"Max Steel is indeed many things, a challenge is indeed one of them," said the owner of the chuckle as the footsteps drew closer. In the darkness, dark red blotches could be seen, piercing through the shadows. Two lights of those blotches appeared to be eyes, glowing a somewhat brighter red, "But what Max Steel isn't, is easy to deal with."

From the shadows emerged the man. He was the same height as Vandal, and just as muscular. He was wearing pitch-black armor across his entire body and a black mask, protecting his identity. The red blotches appeared on the man's knuckles, chest, shoulders, legs, arms, and head. The shoulders of the armor have sharp edges. He held his arms behind his back as one other emerged from the shadows.

A shapely woman with olive-colored skin, turquoise eyes, dark blow hair that was tied back into a bun and held by two silver pins. She also had a snake tattoo that went up from her left leg, across her back, and to her right shoulder. She was wearing a red silk dress with a window showing off her cleavage, red high-heels, silver earrings, very dark red lipstick, and dark sunglasses that rested just on the tip of her nose.

"Take it from someone who knows, Mister Al Ghul; Maxwell McGrath is not one that is simply dealt with," said the man, fixing his gaze on the closest screen that had the aforementioned hero on it.

"And what is it you suggest, Dread?" inquired Vandal, giving the former CEO his attention.

"A rather simple idea, one that a former associate inspired me to take further," stated Dread as a black and red sphere floated in. The sphere was pulsing a dark crimson, "When you cannot beat your foes, join them."

The orb began glowing a bit brighter as Dread chuckled darkly. He had more than a few ideas in mind for this Ultralink. Mainly for him as he had the most experience dealing with Ultralinks and Max Steel. And he had a particular feeling that told him N'baro Aksteel X376 would indeed serve him well, as would Morpho's genetic manipulation and a sample of Max's DNA.

Young Justice: Turbofied Sneak Peek - 2

Author's Notes/Heads up: Yes, this isn't a chapter, no I'm not going to apologize, but there are some things I want to address before I start the actual story. Given how dark Young Justice gets later on, I may make this story rated M given how mature some of the themes in Season 3 are, and the whole deception thing is pretty dark too. That being said, I feel like people wouldn't mind if I made this story rated M. As you all might guess, this story is gonna have Max paired with Jade, as in my opinion, the first and second seasons were pretty one-sided in Roy's and Jade's relationship. It wasn't until season 3 that their relationship was more developed. However, I'm only saying this because I haven't read the comics, so I could be missing some info. Either way, for the story, Max and Jade are gonna be paired together. Also, for the story, I'm gonna make Max a bit older, like the same age as Roy was in season 1, mainly because I can. Also, I may do some adult things with Jade because I am an absolute degenerate and I don't care. There are some other things I have in mind, but I think that's enough spoilers. Well, maybe only one: Morpho isn't coming, I have something better in mind.
