Trailer Music: Nation Rises - Killer Tracks

"As powerful as you are Max Steel," started Miles Dread, speaking to Max and Steel, the former in his Strength Mode. Around them were all their enemies, ranging from Ultimate Elementor and Metal Elementor to Toxzon and Extroyer, "Victory requires sacrifice..."

Behind Miles Dread, a massive machine began powering up, a drill-like machine that fired a dark red beam up into the sky. At the center of the machine, there appeared to be an Ultralink sphere, spinning around rapidly as Negative T.U.R.B.O. Energy began coursing across it.

"And I am more than prepared to sacrifice everything for what I want."

The next scene shows Max firing a beam of T.U.R.B.O. Energy from Steel, the beam striking the machine, the positive and negatively charged T.U.R.B.O. Energy mixing with one another. The energy being generated started to overload the machine before a massive explosion erupted from the center. A blast of energy followed the explosion, consuming everything too close, including Max and Steel as well as the gathered villains.

"Any idea where we are?" asked Steel, hovering just a few feet away from Max. The duo had just regained consciousness and saw they weren't in Dread's base anymore, but what looked like an alley.

"I literally have no idea, Steel," replied Max as he got to his feet, the mask retracting so that he could massage his aching head, "Besides, wouldn't you know? You're the one with a built-in GPS?"

"You suck the fun out of everything," groaned Steel, earning an amused snort from his human best friend.

"Of all the members of The Team; Max Steel is the most troublesome."

Vandal Savage was currently speaking to the other members of the Light. Around him were multiple screens depicting the mentioned hero, each one showing him involved with other heroes, thwarting their plans. Ranging from their efforts with Dr. Roquette the screen showing Max Steel in Turbo Spike Mode, taking on Cheshire, Black Spider, and Hook, along with the team. To Santa Prisca and the Cobra-Venom sale where the hero was in Strength Mode this time, trading blows with Mammoth and supporting Aqualad as the two brought the enhanced villain down.

"He and the Ultralink, N'Baro Aksteel X377 are far more capable than the other members," explained Savage, "and as such, pose the greatest threat to our plans."

"So, you're saying that we can't go home?" finished Max as he and Steel were speaking to the Justice League.

"Without knowing precisely which Earth is yours, we can't risk sending either of you back," explained Superman as he approached the young teen to rest a hand on his shoulder, "I'm sorry Max."

"So what are we gonna do?" asked Steel.

"You can use the guest room for now," offered Black Canary as she opened the door to the guest room in her apartment. Letting Max and Steel enter and look around.

"Just like your old room, huh Max?" joked Steel, earning a scowl from the teen and a chuckle from Dinah.

"We did good work here tonight," Aqualad noted, he, Max, Steel, Robin, Kid Flash, and Superboy stood before their mentors at the Hall, "The work you trained us to do. Together, on our own, we forged something powerful. Important."

"Is this is about your treatment at the hall?" Flash questioned, "The six of you-"

"The seven," Aqualad glanced at Superboy, "The seven of us. And it is not."

"Batman, we're ready to use what you taught us," Robin interjected, "Or why teach us at all?"

"Why let them tell us what to do?!" Superboy looked up, "It's simple, get on board, or get out of the way."

"Let's put it this way," interjected Steel hovering in front of the Leaguers, "We're gonna do our own thing, regardless of what you say or do, so how about we avoid the headaches of punishments and just go with it?"

Batman just stared at the Ultralink for a few seconds before he gave his answer, "Give me three days."

"This cave was the original Secret Sanctuary of the Justice League," Batman stated as Max, Steel, and the others moved to the center of the hall, "We're calling it into service again since you six are determined to stay together and fight the good fight... You'll do it on League terms."

"Basically, how things were done for me and Steel back at N-Tek," commented Max as he looked around the hall.

"I will have that vial, Max Steel!" shouted Toxin as he deployed his sickly toxic green class from the gauntlets on his arms, "One way, or another!"

He leaped at the Hero, bringing down his claws just as Max rolled to the side, dodging the attack. The claws sliced through the steel wall behind him, leaving traces of toxic gunk on the slash marks.

"Max, if Toxzon is here-"

"Then there is a good chance Dread made it too," Max finished Steel's sentence. He narrowed his eyes as he focused on an image of Dread. Steel was hovering just behind his best friend, a look of concern in his single eye.

"Max Steel is indeed many things, a challenge is indeed one of them," said Miles Dread as he stepped into the light, joining the Light's meeting, along with his newest right hand, Roulette, "But what Max Steel isn't, is easy to deal with. Take it from someone who knows, Mister Al Ghul; Maxwell McGrath is not one that is simply dealt with."

"And what is it you suggest, Dread?" inquired Vandal, giving the former CEO his attention. Behind his mask, Dread grinned darkly.

"You are all beneath us, human slugs!" roared Ultimate Elementor, in his air form, floating above the Team, minus one Max Steel. The beast formed from the combination of four Ultralinks then switched to Fire, "But you'll all burn the same!"

Ultimate Fire Elementor then shot a massive stream of fire from his mouth down at the gathered heroes. The fireball grew larger and larger as it closed in on them.

"I applaud you, Maxwell," said Dread, though he meant it in mockery. Currently, he was being held in a specially designed prison cell in Belle Reve. On the other side of the reinforced shield were Max and Steel, the formers arms folded while the latter was hovering right next to him. Even though he had Steel redesign the helmet back to the original, you could obviously tell he was glaring at Dread.

"You have made exceptional progress since your arrival," praised the megalomaniac, turning to sit on the cot in the cell. Once he was comfortable, he returned his attention to Max and Steel, whose expressions still haven't changed, "But then again, so have I."

"You're not alone in this Max," said Fire, taking hold of Max's hand as she stepped towards him, "Steel may help you so much, but you are still just one man."

She leaned in to give Max a gentle kiss which he returned wrapping an arm around her waist to pull her closer. Little did either of them know, Dinah was watching the newly formed couple from one of The Cave's hallways.

"A rather simple idea, one that a former associate inspired me to take further."

Dread took hold of a device and stabbed it into his arm.

"No!" Shouted Max Steel as he tried to stop the villain, but the endless swarm of Dreadnaughts made getting to his enemy difficult.

"When you cannot defeat your foes using your own methods..."

Suddenly, Dread's body began to radiate Negative Turbo Energy, similar to how Max's did when he first linked with Steel. In a similar fashion to that fateful linking, an Ultralink Sphere flew towards Dread and burst into a flurry of red triangles and a familiar Ultralink appeared, N'baro Aksteel X376, only with more black parts instead of gunmetal gray.

"use theirs."

The Ultralink then flew in front of Dread's chest, locking into position before slamming into Max Steel's enemy's chest in a burst of energy and thousands of small triangular shards.

A massive tremor suddenly struck Belle Reve as a massive ship appeared overhead.

The hovering vessel appeared to have been modeled off the concept plans for a WWII battleship, the Montana-Class Battleship. From the underside of the ship, a dark crimson ray was fired at the prison, right over where Dread was being held while. Along with the beam were tendrils of crimson energy that snaked out towards the prison and appeared to be drawn towards the collars Meta-human prisoners wore. As the tendrils connected with the collars, the prisoners vanished, leaving behind the collars to clatter on the floor.

"I have only begun unleashing my influence on this world, Maxwell!" stated Dread as a dark portal appeared on the floor at the center of his cell.

"Soon you, The Team, and the Justice League will be nothing more than a footnote in history!"

"See you around, Maxie," said Cheshire, as she planted a kiss on Max's cheek before vanishing into the night. Leaving behind a slightly surprised Max as he felt where Cheshire kissed him.

Max Steel and Dread charged towards each other, both in Gauntlet Mode; the hero's right arm glowing fiercely with bright blue T.U.R.B.O. Energy with the Villain's mirroring his with the left arm awash with negatively charged crimson T.U.R.B.O. Energy. As the two got closer, they pulled their fists back before launching them at each other, both fists colliding as an eruption of Turbo Energy came from the impact.

*Bonus Scene*

"I'm back," announced Max as he entered his beachside house, with a private pathway to the beach. Steel unlinking from his chest since they were now alone.

"I'm in the kitchen!" replied a woman's voice.

Well, not completely alone.

"How was your day?" asked Beatriz da Costa, aka Fire. She was currently wearing a pair of black spandex gym pants with a green stripe going down the length of her legs. She was also wearing a green sports bra. It was pretty obvious that the choice in clothing really displayed all of the curves her feminine figure offered.

"It was good," answered Max after a moment as he headed towards the living room, which had a clear line of sight to the kitchen.

The emerald heroine picked up on the slight pause, turning down the stove to a simmer, as a way to avoid burning the meal she finished making. Once it was turned down, she directed her gaze to Max, seeing him take a seat on the couch.

"Is something wrong?" she asked, heading down from the kitchen.

"I'm okay," replied Max as he glanced back at Beatriz.

"You seem just a bit distracted," noticed Beatriz, her tone a bit suspicious.

"I'm fine, really," assured Max.

However, it seemed that the heroine wasn't fully convinced as she directed her attention to Steel.

"Steel, how was yours and Max's day?" she inquired, prompting Max to let out an exasperated sigh, knowing full well that he couldn't hide anything from her.

"Since you asked, Bea, Max has had a lot on his mind lately," explained the Ultralink, "So, he's been talking to Canary a bit more often than normal."

"Traitor," muttered Max as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"It isn't treachery if its because the people who care about you worry about you," said the Brazilian heroine, she a gentle smile on her face as she glanced at Steel, "Steel, would you mind giving us a moment?"

"Hey, gives me an excuse to hand out with Darci," replied the Ultralink as he flew towards a window.

"Tell Ms. Mason that Tora is looking forward to our girl's night out," said Beatriz as Steel exited the residence.

"You got it," assured Steel as he disappeared from sight.

Now that they were alone, Max turned to look at Beatriz, "Now, what's wrong, Max?"

"Just thinking about how Steel and I are stuck here," explained Max with a sigh, "We can't call home to let my mom and dad know we're okay."

Beatriz's expression softened as she put what was bothering Max together, "You miss your family."

"Yeah," nodded Max as looked down at his hands, "Not to mention, all of my bad guys are running around out there on top of having to deal with the Light."

After a moment, he looked back at Beatriz, "I just have a lot on my mind."

The Brazilian emerald-haired woman was quiet for a moment.

"Max, I want you to take a breath," soothed Beatriz, coming around the couch to sit down beside him on the couch. She slipped her arms underneath his to pull him into a hug, "You aren't alone in this. You have the League to help when you need it. You also have your friends who will be there for you, no matter what."

Letting go of him a bit, she pulled back to look him in the eyes. She had a warm smile and sincerity in her eyes.

"You also have me to help you," she said softly, "You just need to ask."

Max smiled, "Thanks, Bea," said the hero as she gently pushed him onto his back and laid herself down on top of him with Max placing one hand on her back. Resting her head on his chest, closed her eyes and just listened to his heartbeat. She smiled warmly as she and Max watched the sun begin to set. It wasn't until a few moments later, she opened her eyes and pushed herself up.

"Max…," Beatriz trailed off as she looked at the man beneath her in the eyes.

"Something wrong?" he asked as he met her gaze.

Neither of them said anything for a few seconds before Beatriz closed her eyes and leaned in slowly to kiss Max gently. Reaching up, the heroine cupped his cheeks to deepen the kiss while the hero brought both his hands to rest on her hips massaging them as he returned, the kiss. It was a soft embrace, the two just expressing what they were feeling at the moment, not with words, but actions. Neither of them knew how long they were there, but it didn't really matter.

All that mattered was making the other feel like they had nothing to worry about.

I know, I know, a lot of you like the pairing with Max and Cheshire, just let me explain. I don't intend to give up the pairing between Max and Cheshire, that won't change, however, I did think it would make things a little too complicated with Max being a hero, and Cheshire being, well Cheshire. Plus, it would also make things kinda awkward between him and Artemis and while I admit that would be funny to see, I feel like it would be too hard to write. That being said, despite the difficulty, I'm not giving up on this pairing. I'm just modifying it to become more of a Batman and Catwoman relationship.

Now, some of you may be wondering why I suddenly introduced Fire, and to be perfectly honest, I feel like Fire is criminally underappreciated. Which is why I decided to introduce her. Also, if you're wondering what Fire's appearance will be, think Batman: The Brave andthe Bold, design. Not the first one, the second one. There are two designs of Fire in that series and I personally like the second one.

Another thing I want to say is that I'm a bit surprised nobody commented on the Darci Mason easter egg. Like, I'm just surprised is all.

In any case, the story will still be rated M, I do intend to include lemons, Max and Cheshire's relationship will be similar to Batman's and Catwoman's; since I'm introducing Fire you can expect to see Ice as well.

And that's everything. Hope you liked this alternate love interest trailer.
