The Beginning:
Prologue
It was snowing in the town of Forks, Washington, which didn't surprise the residents that lived there. Most of the town had been born there and therefore was used to the weather; however, eighteen-year-old Bella Swan, despite living in Forks for two years, still despised it. Which explained why she planned on staying inside today, or that had been the plan until her best friend and soul sister, Alice Cullen, had called.
Charlie had been the one to answer the phone. "Oh hello, Alice calling for Bella?" he said. Bella had watched as her father's face had turned from happy to confused in a few seconds. "I understand Alice, Bella, and I will be there shortly," he said before hanging up.
Turning to Bella, he walked over to her, looking confused. "What is it, Dad? Is everything okay?" she asked.
Charlie brushed a hand through his hair. "That was Alice. She says she needs us to come over immediately," he said.
Bella felt a wave of concern as thoughts of Victoria flashed through her mind. What if Alice had seen her attacking Charlie? Without skipping a beat, she grabbed her coat and looked at her father seriously. "Let's go then," she said, heading towards the cruiser. Her father followed her, but for a different reason; he was worried something had happened to one of the Cullens.
The Swans made it to the Cullens in record time. Charlie using the police sirens might have helped a little in getting there so quickly. Bella jumped from the car the moment the cruiser stopped and ran up to Alice and Edward, who were waiting outside for her. "What's wrong Alice? What's happened? is it Victoria?" she asked, although she whispered that last part.
Alice shook her head. "It's not Victoria, but um, well, I really don't know how to explain this, Edward?" she said, turning to her brother for help.
Bella flicked her eyes over to her boyfriend and looked at him expectantly, but even he looked confused by the situation. "Bella, I think it would be better if you and Charlie came in first," he said.
Just then, Charlie arrived. "Edward, Alice, can you please tell us what's going on?" he said.
Edward sighed, "As I said, I think it would be best if you two came inside first," he said, motioning for them to follow him inside the house.
Father and daughter glanced at each other before Bella looked back at her boyfriend. She had never seen him lost for words before, so seeing him in such a state put her on high alert. As the two followed brother and sister into the living room area, Bella was shocked to find the entire wolf pack, their imprints minus Claire, and the elders. That wasn't the only surprise, though. She was also shocked to see the Denali clan.
Bella looked over the room to find the rest of her vampire family looking confused and uneasy at having the wolves and vampires in their home. Rose and Jasper looked especially annoyed. "What the hell is going on?" she thought, looking to her boyfriend for answers. She wasn't the only one as Charlie glared at the Cullens. "Will someone please explain what the hell is going on here?!" he said.
Billy Black looked at his best friend seriously. "That's what we would like to know," he said, gesturing around the room.
Alice and Edward shared a worried glance at each other before they turned to Bella. "We received a package and a letter this morning, instructing us to gather everyone here today," she said.
Charlie looked at her annoyed, "And did it say what for?" he said.
Alice nodded. "Yes, it said we need to read a book series," she said.
Charlie stared at her a moment before breaking out in laughter. "Ha, Ha, that's a good one, Alice," he said. When Alice didn't laugh back, however, he stopped and glared at her, "Are you telling me young lady, that you called me out here just because a note told you too?" he said roughly, making Jasper take a step forward.
Alice looked at him seriously. "I did because they're about Bella," she said. The moment she said the books were about his daughter, Charlie stopped and stared at her, confused again.
"What?" he said.
Edward winced. "Perhaps it would be better if you read the note yourself," he said, handing a piece of paper to him. Charlie took the note and read it quickly.
Dear Cullens, I can't tell you who I am right now, but let's just say I have something similar to Alice. If you know what I mean. I'm sending you a series of books which are about Bella and everyone here. The books are from Bella's pov. The reason I'm sending these to you all is that it's time Bella's past is known. Love, S.M.
Charlie looked up from the note to his daughter. "Do you know what this is about?" he asked.
Bella looked just as confused as her father. "I have no idea, but if someone needed us all to gather to read these, then it must be pretty important," she said. Although she had a slight idea, she pushed those thoughts away.
Carlisle, who had been quiet up till that point, stepped forward. "Then it's decided that will read these books then," he said. Everyone just nodded, although it was obvious not everyone was happy about this. However, some were curious about Bella's past.
Emmett rubbed his hands together. "Then what are we waiting for. Let's read about Bella," he said. He had always wanted to know more about his little sister and now was his chance.
Bella held up her hand. "Wait, Emmett. Alice, can I see the first book please?" she said.
Alice nodded and danced over to the box before pulling the first book out and handing it to her sister. Bella smiled at her in thanks before looking over the book. The title read, "Twilight." turning it over, she read the synopsis. "I had been thrust into the world of the supernatural before, but this time, it was so much different. Of three things, I was positively certain. One. Edward was a vampire. Two. There was a part of him that I didn't know that thirsted for my blood, and Three, I was unconditionally in love with him."
The brunette looked up in horror. No, there was absolutely no way this could be happening. This book wasn't just going to reveal her thoughts to the whole damn world, but also reveal secrets that didn't need to be revealed, ever. "On second thought, maybe we shouldn't read these," she said.
Alice shook her head. "It's fine Bella," she said.
Bella looked at her, astounded. "Have you even read the synopsis, Alice? Your family could be put in danger because of this," she said.
Alice shook her head. "It's okay Bella, only one more person will be let in on the secret and I've already seen no harm will come from this," she said.
Bella sighed, "I hope you're right," she said, walking over to one of the empty seats followed by Charlie. "So who wants to read first?" she asked.
Esme smiled at her youngest daughter. "Since the books are about you, dear, why don't you start?" she said. Everyone in the room mumbled in agreement.
Bella sighed before nodding. "Alright then, since everyone agrees, I'll start," she said. She then opened the book to begin.
Author's note: So here's chapter one of reading Twilight with a Twist. I just want to say I'll be using elements from Pet Semetary, but it will be my own characters. Thank you for reading, Nerdzone6.
