Author Note: It was really hard not a timeline about the shooting between Bass and Miles so I had to use my own creativity with it.
Chapter 2
Bass walked into the room after a long day of hunting for Miles and Ben. He knew where Ben was and sent some of his men to get him. He found Katie writing a letter to someone.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Bass asked his wife as he went to stand by her.
"A letter to Ben telling him about Miles." Katie responded to him. She knew that her husband did not want to talk about Miles and the shooting.
"What are you going to tell him?" Bass asked his wife.
"That he turned his back on us and now is on the run. I told my brother that he should just turn Miles over if he sees him." Katie responded to him.
"I know how hard this has been for you. He is your brother." Bass responded to her. "It has been really hard on me because I am trying to figure out why he did what he did. I thought that we had moved past the whole bombing and shooting."
"Bass, they could have killed you both. I don't blame you for what you did." Katie said to her husband as she stood up and gave him a kiss.
"Thank you for telling me that. I just need to make sure Miles doesn't get away with what he has done to our family." Bass revealed as he pulled away from her. "I have something to tell you."
"What is it?" Katie asked her husband.
"We need to get out of town right now. There is some bombings around our city." Bass said to her before they started to pack a bag.
"Where are we going to go?" Katie said to her husband.
"I am not sure but we will figure it out." Bass responded before they left the Philly area.
It had been eight months since they left Philly area, the couple had settled into a new town. Bass knew that he could not used his name because he would be arrested.
"Hey babe." Bass said as he came running up after his wife. He had just got done having a fight.
"That was really close match up between the two of you." Katie responded to her husband.
"I know." Bass revealed to her with a smile.
"I hope that you start being more care of yourself in these matches as I just went to the doctors to find out that I am pregnant." Katie revealed to her husband before he picked her up and they went to the house.
A few nights later, Bass was in another fight when Katie saw that Charlie was there. She knew that Charlie could blow Bass's cover out of the water.
"Charlie, what are you doing here?" Katie asked her niece. The last thing that she knew was that her brother got Rachel, Charlie and Danny out of Philly.
"I am here for him." Charlie responded to her aunt. "I need justice for what he did to Danny."
"Charlie, he did not do anything to Danny. He was with me the whole time." Katie defended her husband to her niece.
"No, he sent his men after us to kill Miles." Charlie revealed to her aunt.
"What?" Katie said to her niece as the crowd started to cheer for the winner. Bass got out of the ring and headed to for a drink.
"I got to go." Charlie said to her aunt before walking out of the room to follow Bass.
Katie could not believe what she had just learned from her niece. She knew that her husband had hard feelings to her brother but didn't think that he would set out to kill her brother.
Meanwhile, Charlie walked into the only bar in town to find that Bass was not there. She sat down at the bar stools waiting for him to arrive. It did not take long before someone came up to her.
"Are you waiting for someone?" the man said to Charlie.
"Yes, I am waiting for someone so go away." Charlie said as she turned away from the man as he pour something into the drink and that's when Bass step in only to get knock out.
He woke up to find himself and Charlie tied to the buttom of a pool. Charlie was trying to get free.
"How's your uncle, kid?" Bass asked her.
"He's fine. Before you ask he doesn't know that I am here." Charlie revealed to him.
"How's your mom and brother doing?" Bass asked her. He did not know about Danny.
"My brother is dead. You killed him like you did with my father." Charlie said to him before the man came down with Katie and tied her to the buttom of the pool.
"Are you okay?" Charlie asked her aunt.
"I am fine." Katie said to her niece while looking at her husband. "How could you go after my brother again? I asked you not to."
"I could not let him get away from me again after trying to kill me for a second time." Bass responded to his wife.
"He is still my brother." Katie responded to her husband before looking away. They were chained up for a couple hours before both men came down to get Bass. They untied both Katie and Charlie.
"You two are free to go." The man said to the girls.
"We both know that Bass is going to escape from them." Katie responded to her niece.
"Yeah, we are going to end up following him." Charlie responded to her aunt with a smile as they started to run. Katie was only about six weeks pregnant with the baby. They managed to find Bass and the other man. Bass managed to knock him out and went after Charlie.
"Bass, stop it." Katie yelled at her husband.
Katie could not stand there and see her husband beating up her niece. Bass finally stop beating her again.
"Katie, this is not what I wanted to do." Bass responded to his wife. "I never wanted Danny to get hurt because of me."
Bass started to run away again but stop the minute that he got to the truck. He got on the wagon and took off.
"You need to take me to my brother now." Katie said to her niece.
"We will be going there as soon as we find Bass. I need to stop him." Charlie responded to her. "I know that this is hard for you, but he has cost my family so much pain and I can't allow him to get away with it."
"They are my family too. I am just upset as you are, but I know that Bass is not a threat anymore. He is going to be on the run. We need to get to Miles." Katie said to her niece.
They started to run back to the road and headed down when the man had caught up to them again. Bass appeared out of nowhere and knocked him out.
"What are you doing here?" Katie asked him.
"I think that you girls are going to want to see what I found." Bass said as he took them to the truck.
"What did you find?" Charlie asked before Bass showed them papers. "It's no surprised that they are looking for you but what do they want with my mom."
"There is only one way to find out." Bass said to her as they went to wake up the man to get answers. They finally got the answers that they were looking forward.
"It's starting to look like we are going to be heading to find Miles and Rachel now that the good old USA is coming back." Bass said to the girls as they loaded up on the wagon.
It took a week for them to get to Texas, Bass knew that he was not going to be able to go into the city without being held for his crimes.
"I am going to get Miles. You two stay out here and keep out of sight." Charlie revealed to Bass and Katie before leaving.
"I can't believe that you went back on your word. You promised me that you were going to leave my brother, Rachel and the kids alone." Katie said to her husband as they sat on a rock apart from each other.
"What do you want me to do Katie? I was a leader of a MILITIA and I had to get your brother back for what he did to me." Bass reasoned against his wife. "I am so sorry that Danny got killed."
"Bass, I don't know if I can forgive this." Katie responded to her husband. "When is there too much fighting and blood? I lost my brother and nephew within a matter of weeks."
"I know and I never meant for this to happen. I just wanted to get the power back on and take out my enemies." Bass responded to his wife.
Meanwhile, Charlie had walked into the room that her uncle was in.
"Hey, we need to go somewhere and talk. It's about Monroe." Charlie said to her uncle.
"Okay." Miles responded to her before walking out of the room with her. They walked out of town. "Where are we going?"
"You will see." Charlie responded to her uncle as they kept going out of town.
