Author Note: It is time for the newest chapter of this story. I can't believe that it's been over a month since my last chapter of this story but we are almost finished with this story.

Chapter 4

"I am surprised that you have chosen to leave Bass. You two seem like you were going to make it work without the power." Gene revealed to her.

"What he has done to my family is unforgivable. There was a lot that many people did not see that happen between us." Katie said to Gene as she was getting a look from Miles.

"Katie, you don't have to explain yourself." Miles said to his sister with a small smile. "We all know what Bass has done to you and it's okay."

"Do we really know what he has done?" Gene asked him.

"Gene, I was pregnant a year ago. We got into a fight and he had his best-friend come into the room and attacked me. To be honest, Bass did not know what his friend was doing." Katie revealed to him. "I ended up losing my baby that night."

"Katie, I am so sorry that you had to go through that." Rachel said to her sister-in-law. She knew that Bass was a monster but to send someone after his own wife was disgusting.

"To be honest more, Bass did not know that I was pregnant." Katie revealed to her with a sad smile.

"You can't make exuses for him on that. He send someone to keep his own wife in place and that was wrong on his part in so many ways." Gene responded to her.

"Gene, you were not there and Bass killed the man after learning what the guy had done for Katie. Now my best-friend might not be prefect but he does love his wife." Miles defended his best-friend to Rachel's dad.

Katie got up and walked to the kitchen. She knew that if they learned about this baby that they would not help keep her safe.

Meanwhile, Bass was getting settled outside of town. He hoped that Miles and Katie could convice Rachel and Gene that he did not want to get Danny or Ben killed. It was an accident. He felt bad about what happen. He just hoped that they would not be to hard for Katie.

A few days went by before Miles was to meet with Texas to talk about the USA patriots and knew that it was not going to go good. She ended up finding the location along with Rachel, Charlie, Aaron and Bass.

"What is he doing here?" Rachel asked Miles and Katie.

"I brought him here along with aunt Katie." Charlie revealed to her mother.

"What do you mean that you brought him here?" Rachel asked her daughter before turning her attention to Katie. "So a few nights ago, you were still with Bass?"

"Rachel, it's not like that. Katie and I are not together right now because what I did to her brother and nephrew." Bass revealed to her before getting slapped in the face. "Okay, I will give you that because I did hurt you. I never wanted Ben or Danny to get killed."

"That is where you are wrong. You see that you knew that this would happen and it's not right what you did to my family but if you think that I am going to let you take Miles, Katie or Charlie then you are wrong. I will protect them with everything that I have." Rachel revealed to him.

"I don't plan on hurting them. The people that I am hoping that we all stop is the Patriots. They are hunting us. I don't want Charlie to have anymore lost. I don't want Katie to have anymore lost." Bass revealed to her.

"Okay, this is all cozy but I have a meeting with Texans and I am suppose to be alone right now so you all need to go hide. Miles revealed to them.

After the meeting, Bass came out of his hiding spot as well did Katie, Charlie, Aaron and Rachel. Bass knew that he needed to talk to Katie but did not know where to start.

"Do you want to go for a walk and talk?" Bass asked his wife.

"Sure why not?" Katie said as she followed his lead outside. "So what do you want to talk about?"

"Do they know that you are pregnant?" Bass asked his wife.

"No, they don't know that I am pregnant again. I managed to get Gene to kinda trust me when I revealed about our last pregnancy that ended up being a miscarriage because of that guy." Katie revealed to him.

"You know if I knew that you were pregnant that I would not have talk to him. Katie, I knew what he had been doing to Rachel and I think that is why I opened up to him. I never thought that he would do that to you." Bass revealed to his wife. "I also never meant to get your brother or nephrew killed."

"I know Bass but that doesn't change the fact that it happen. Charlie has to finish growing up with her father." Katie revealed to her husband. "I just don't want our baby to grow up without a dad. Also I don't want this baby to know what their father has done in the past. Bass, before I even think about taking you back, I need to see a change."

"I know. I am working on it." Bass said to her before walking closer to her to give her a hug.

About a week later, Katie woke up to find the bells going off. She got out of bed and headed downstairs to find out what is going on. She noticed Rachel and Miles standing outside on the pouch so she headed outside.

"What is going on?" Katie asked as the Texans Rangers came into the center of the town. She watched as they went by and saw her husband sitting in a cage.

"How did they find him?" Katie asked her brother.

"I don't know. I got nothing." Miles revealed to her before looking back at Bass. He knew that this was not good for them. They still need Bass's help with the Patriots.
