Disclaimer- I do not own Pokemon, or the characters from the show, I only own my O.C. Now, let's get right to it!
A lot had gone down over the past few days, including our heroes finding out about Ash's Goodra's previous homeland, which was a peaceful, serene swampland, that had been taken over by a blue Florges who had only wanted to use the magic of the spring water to help heal her sick daughter, who was a blue Floette. However, the magic of the healing water seemed to be draining away, as they all found out that it was Team Rocket's fault, as they were trying to drain the water from the springs. But, luckily, everyone stopped them just in time, and was able to save the springs, and help heal Floette. Now, with peace restored in the wetlands, all of the Pokemon could live in peace, but, there was one thing left: Ash had decided to let his Goodra stay in the wetlands and help to maintain the peace. It was a very hard decision, and even more emotional goodbye, but Ash knew that this was the best thing he could do for his Goodra. With that, soon, our heroes left, but not before saying their partings to Goodra, who had given everyone best wishes, along with the rest of the swamp Pokemon.
Now, our heroes had been on the road and were currently taking a break at a large field near a forest, with large, tall trees, and everyone was fueling up on water to stay hydrated, as the weather was warm.
Ash, Clemont, Serena, Bonnie, and Lyra were drinking out of their canteens, and the Pokemon were drinking water from their bowls.
Frogadier was taking a sip of water from a small cup as he offered it to Pikachu, who drank from it while Ash told him, "Pikachu, make sure to drink a lot of water before we head out."
Riolu was drinking out of the cup lid from Lyra's canteen while Silverstream was lapping up water from its bowl, while Clemont commented tiredly as he shielded his eyes from the sun with his arm, "Looks like today's gonna be another hot day."
Meanwhile, Serena was looking at something in her guidebook, with her Braixen and Zoroark watching over her shoulders. When Serena found what she was looking for, she commented, "Let's see...my fortune for today is...huh? Troubles await you?! Yikes"!
Braixen and Zoroark both whimpered in concern for their trainer, as Serena soothingly petted them while saying, "It's ok, you two; fortune-telling is usually made up, just for fun. It's nothing to worry about."
Bonnie came over, saying, "Wow, I want to see my fortune too," with Dedenne chirping in agreement.
Serena was happy to oblige, looking up Bonnie's fortune, reading, "Let me see...your fortune says...here we go! Today will be the worst day you had all year. you'll be sorry you ever got up this morning, and watch out for things made of gold"?
Bonnie, feeling worried, commented, "That sounds pretty bad"!
Lyra then walked over, saying after returning Chesnaught and Dedenne to their Pokeballs, "Nothing to worry about, Bonnie. It's only made up just for entertainment; the actual chances of your fortune coming true are pretty low."
Serena then asked Lyra, "What about you, Lyra? Want to know what your fortune is"?
Lyra shrugged and replied, "Sure, couldn't hurt to try. What does it say"?
Serena looked up Lyra's fortune and read, "Hre we are! It says...something will happen today that'll lead you to meeting someone new."
Lyra was a bit confused, saying, "Meeting someone new? That oughta be a first."
While everyone was relaxing below, up in the sky, Team Rocket was soaring through the sky in their hot air balloon, carrying what looked like a net full of round, red berries. Jessie commented, "We have enough food to feed a small city," while James added, "Remind me to send a thank-you note to that berry tree."
Meowth commented, "We lucked out alright," before he peered down and saw the group of trainers below them, saying, "Look out below! Twerp alert"!
James and Jessie saw, with James saying, "This is our lucky day; so, why don't we pick up some Pokemon along the way," while Jessie mentioned, "When fortune smiles on you, you just smile on back."
Back on the ground, everyone was getting set to go, as Pancham and Chespin were having another dispute, with Riolu trying to settle things between them. Suddenly, a shadow ball from above struck the three Pokemon, hitting them hard.
Everyone saw what had happened, with Lyra asking, "Riolu, are you ok," while Clemont asked, "Chespin, are you hurt," and Serena added, "Pancham, you ok"?
Ash then looked up while asking, "Who could've done that"?!
They all ended up spotting the Team Rocket balloon, with Team Rocket inside, as Jessie answered, "Why, it's your favorite raves"!
James then asked, "You did miss us, didn't you," while Meowth added, "Twerps always do"!
Jessie then tossed a robotic cube that launched an electronic net over Chespin, Riolu, and Pancham that caught them, making it float the caught trio of Pokemon towards Team Rocket, much to Serena, Lyra, and Clemont's display.
Ash, wanting to stop the net from reaching the bad guys, shouted, "Pikachu, use thunderbolt"!
Pikachu jumped up and launched the electric type move t the net, hoping to neutralize it, but it didn't work, as James announced, "And our anti-zapper wins"!
Clemont then stepped forward with his Luxray, saying, "If that's the case, Luxray, use swift, let's go"!
Serena, wanting to help, stepped forward with her Zoroark, saying, "Zoroark, use shadow ball"!
Luxray and Zoroark launched their respective moves at the balloon, making it pop and causing it to fall to the ground, colliding with a crash. It also broke the net that had the berries in it, making the berries spill around, while also getting rid of the electronic net that had captured Chespin, Pancham, and Riolu, allowing them to be free and return to their trainers.
as Pancham, Chespin, and Riolu returned to their respective trainers, they all saw the berries rolling by their feet and picked some of them up, with Lyra asking, "what in the world are these"?
Clemont replied, "These berries must be theirs."
However, in the trees, three tall bulky panda-like Pokemon that were like the tougher, scarier version of Pancham saw the trainers holding the berries and got really infuriated.
No one seemed to take notice of it, as Team Rocket, who returned to their feet, with Jessie saying, "Criminals! It just so happen that those berries belong to us"!
James added while holding the berry net, "Picked fresh today," while Meowth declared, "Grab your own grub"!
Lyra declared, "Hold your Pontyas; we're not stealing anything"!
Then, out of the blue, the three panda-like Pokemon came barging out of the forest angrily, roaring their names out furiously, as everyone saw and panicked, with Ash saying, "It's a group of Pangoros"!
The Pangoros all started to attack them with dark pulse, hyperbeam, and hidden power, as everyone tried to run and avoid getting hit.
Clemont tried to calm them down, saying, "Pangoro, we didn't do anything wrong," but the words fell on deaf ears.
As the trio kept attacking, Ash declared, "Everyone, run! Take cover," and just like that, everyone separated and ran in different groups to try and get to safety.
In one little group, Bonnie had run into a patch of forest and stopped to catch her breath when she heard something, or rather someone, panting right next to her. she looked over and saw that it turned out to be Meowth, who looked out of breath. She flinched while saying, "Hey, it's Meowth," as Meowth turned his head and saw Bonnie, saying, "It's the fun-sized twerpette."
However, behind them, one of the Pangoros came up and roared at them, causing them both to get up and flee as fast as they could, running as far away as they could. Suddenly, it seemed like they weren't running on the ground anymore, because they weren't; they were hovering above the drop of a ledge riddled in vines, as they both screamed while falling down, down, down, with the Pangoro that was chasing them watching.
Bonnie soon saw that she had landed on a vine, but that didn't last too long as the vine snapped, making her drop down through more vines fast before finally landing on the ground.
On the ground, she commented, "That was no fun," and then opened her bag flap to check on Dedenne, saying, "Dedenne, are you ok"?
The orange mouse chattered excitedly and climbed onto the top of her head, letting bonnie know that it was doing ok. However, when Bonnie got up and proceeded to walk, she felt something tug at her while shouting, "Stop pulling me"!
It turned out that both Bonnie and Meowth were tangled together by a set of vines, and no matter how hard they pulled, they couldn't seem to move or get anywhere or even get it untangled.
Meowth tried to be the voice of reason, saying, "Chill out. It's nothing but a teensy vine, and don't sass me, see? I'm the famous Meowth of Team Rocket"!
He then tried to use fury swipes to slice through the vines, but it didn't even make a single scratch, making him reply, "Or not."
Bonnie groaned, commenting, "You're so useless," much to the Pokemon's dismay.
Suddenly, they saw one of the other Pangoros angrily approach them and tried to make a run for it, but since they were tied up, they could only hopelessly run back and forth without getting anywhere. So, out of panic, both decided to run in one direction together, trying to escape the angry Pangoro, who only roared in frustration as it saw them get away.
By Ash, he soon made it to a clearing after running far enough but didn't see that Pacham and Silverstream had followed behind him. When Ash commented, "Man, what was that all about? Is everyone ok," he turned around and saw Pancham and Silverstream chattering that they were ok, but didn't see anyone else around him. He looked left and right, saying, "Everybody? Where'd you go," as he saw that they had all gotten separate.
Far away, in the deep forest, Serena was catching her breath, commenting, "Well, I think we managed to get away," before turning her head and seeing that the only ones with her were Chespin, Frogadier, and Riolu, making her ask, "Hey, where's Ash," while Chespin, Frogadier, and Riolu shrugged in confusion.
In another area of the forest, Luxray and Hawlucha had also gotten separated from their trainers and were trying to see how they were gonna find everyone. Luckily, up in the sky, they found Fletchinder, who squawked that it'd do an air search to try and spot everyone from the air.
By a thicker area of the forest, Clemont was with Bunnelby, Pikachu, and Braixen, saying to them, "It looks like we've been separated from the others. LEt's look around," as Bunnelby, Pikachu, and Braixen chattered in agreement while following Clemont, looking around.
Over in another area far away, Lyra was sitting on a rock, catching her breath, saying, "Well, we got away. Are you two ok," and looked up, seeing that Zoroark was with her, not Riolu and Silverstream. Lyra looked around, calling, "Riolu? Silverstream? Ash? Serena? Bonnie? Clemont"?
Zoroark chattered in concern, as Lyra reassured it, saying, "Don't worry; I'm sure we'll find them. Why don't we go look"?
Zoroark nodded as it and Lyra started to look around in the forest.
Over by Team Rocket, all of their members, including Jessie's Pumpkaboo, still seemed to be together, except for the missing Meowth, as Jessie tiredly asked, "Meowth's lost again"?
James pulled out his Pokeball, saying. "Well, let's get to it. Help us look, Inkay," while letting his Pokemon out.
Jessie then angrily exclaimed, "That Meowth! If it's not one thing, it's another," while Inkay tried to happily lighten the mood.
By where Lyra was looking, she called out, "Hello? Anyone around here," with Zoroark calling out the same thing.
Seeing no one respond, Lyra commented, "Geesh, this is gonna be like finding a needle in a haystack. Hmmmmm...let's have some extra hands on set to help us," and reached for two Pokeballs, saying while tossing them up in the air, "Chesnaught, Dedenne, come on out"!
Her father's Chesnaught and Dedenne emerged in two streams of light, with her dad's Dedenne on Chesnaught's shoulder, as she said, "We got separated from our friends. Can you both look around the forest to see if you can find them"?
Chesnaught and Dedenne both nodded in agreement as Chesnaught soon walked off in a different direction, looking for any signs or clues that their friends were nearby.
Suddenly, after they were gone, Lyra saw the bushes rustling near her, and it made her become defensive, as Zoroark prepared to fight in case whatever appeared was dangerous.
It turned out to be a quadruped, feline-like Pokemon with blue and black fur covering most of its body, its ears, face, hind paws, and front half of its body being blue, while its hindquarters are black. Additionally, it also had a long, tufty black mane surrounding its face while the insides of its rounded ears are yellow, as are its eyes, and there were two yellow rings around each front leg and a yellow, four-point star on the tip of its tail. The Pokemon appeared to be limping and holding up its front right paw, trying to avoid stepping on it.
Lyra, seeing what Pokemon it was, gasped, saying, "It's a Luxio," before pulling out her Pokedex to make sure.
Luxio, the Sparks Pokemon, and the evolved form of Shinx. Strong electricity courses through the tips of its sharp claws. A light scratch causes fainting in foes.
The Luxio seemed to whimper in pain while trying to balance on its three paws, to which Lyra saw, saying, "Looks like this Luxio might be hurt."
When she approached it, the Luxio first thought that the human might be dangerous and growled, baring its fangs at her.
However, Lyra remained calm, bending down towards it and saying, "It's ok; I just want to help you. Might I take a look at your paw"?
Luxio hesitantly gave its paw towards the human as Lyra saw what was hurting it: a thorn that was stuck in its paw. She gently eyed it before pulling it out with ease, saying, "There you go, that should help you feel better now."
Luxio placed its paw on the ground a few times before smiling, feeling a lot better, as it thanked the human by jumping up and giving her a lick on the cheeks, with Lyra giggling while saying, "You're welcome, glad I could help."
Back with Bonnie, she and Meowth were sitting by a flat rock as she was using a little stone to try and break the vine, but it wasn't working, with Meowth saying, "Not even a scratch."
Suddenly, they both heard the bushes rustle and feared that it was one of the Pangoros again. However, it turned out to be Chesnaught and Dedenne, with Bonnie instantly recognizing them, saying, "Look, Dedenne, it's Lyra's Chesnaught and Dedenne"!
Meowth, seeing the Pokemon up close, saying, "Oy vey; you're telling me those two belong to your new twerpette friend"?!
Bonnie answered, "Technically, they belong to her dad, but he let Lyra bring them with her on her journey"!
Bonnie's Dedenne happily reunited with Lyra's Dedenne before hopping back onto Bonnie while Chesnaught approached Bonnie, questioning her about the vine, and about Meowth being stuck to it.
Bonnie replied, "Chesnaught, Meowth and I are tied up to this vine. Think you can try to break it loose"?
Chesnaught looked at the vine before nodding, willing to give it a try. It raised its right arm up, readying a hammer arm attack, and slammed it onto the vine, breaking the stone underneath, but not at all making a tear into the vine itself.
When Chesnaught saw that the attack didn't work, he sighed sadly, with bonnie gently petting its arm, saying, "Don't feel bad; you tried your best."
Meowth then commented while getting up, "On the plus side, that hammer took out that rock like it was nothing but a berry"!
He then said, "Ok, look, here's the deal, I'm escorting you three back to your twerpy buddies."
Bonnie, both Dedennes, and Chesnaught did not believe Meowth one bit, as Bonnie gave Meowth a deadpanned stare, saying, "Oh really? You'll take me to YOUR buddies and steal Dedenne, or chesnaught and Lyra's Dedenne. I know a lie when I hear one," with her Dedenne chirping in agreement while also giving Meowht a deadpanned stare.
Meowth grew nervous, saying, "Come on, I ain't lying to no one," but it didn't help when it saw Chesnaught raise a suspicious eyebrow and cross its arms, grunting something to Meowth while Lyra's Dedenne let sparks fly from its cheeks in a threatening manner.
Meowth jumped back, despite being tied up, and stated, "Come on, I'd never do such a thing"!
Bonnie's expression didn't change a bit as she said, "It's written all over your face," as Meowth retorted, "Hey! This face's only got whiskers and no noseprints, see"?
Chesnaught didn't let up on its look, planting its hands on its hips and questioning Meowth.
Meowth turned around and faced the big grass/fighting type, answering nervously, "Look, lug, I swear I don't got nothing planned"!
However, Bonnie's attention soon drew from her being suspicious to Meowth's golden charm, making her ask, "Is that thing made of gold"?
Meowth turned his head to face Bonnie, retorting while placing a protective hand on his charm, "Hey, this charm is part of my charm! So, keep your paws off of it."
Bonnie then asked, "But, why do you have a charm"?
That made Meowth freeze in confusion, asking himself, "Why? That's a good question."
Chesnaught and Lyra's Dedenne both looked at each other, unsure of how to respond to the scenario.
Bonnie then asked, "Say, Meowth, how come you're able to talk"?
Meowth smiled, saying, "I'm glad you asked. See, the story itself is long and sad, but wow, what an ending"!
Bonnie wanted to immediately take back her question, but then, it saw Chesnaught and Lyra's Dedenne sit by her, with Chesnaught offering her a reassuring smile.
Bonnie smiled, saying, "Well, if we're gonna hear this story, it'll definitely help having you two around."
Over by Ash, he, Pancham, and Silverstream were standing by a ledge, calling out to their friends. Ash was shouting, "Hey! Serena! Clemont! Bonnie! Lyra! Where are you," while Pancham and Silverstream were calling out to them the same way in their Pokemon language.
Ash then looked up on the high ledge, saying, "Let's get to higher ground. that way, maybe we'll get a better view."
Pancham and Silverstream both chattered in agreement and followed Ash up the ledge.
By Clemont's group, everyone was also looking around, calling out to the other trainers around them. Pikachu was calling from atop a tree branch, Braixen was calling from the ground with Clemont, and Bunnelby, who had emerged from his underground search, was giving the sign that he was still looking for clues underneath.
Clemont then stood up, saying, "It's ok; you just leave everything to me! i know exactly what to do"!
Pikachu chirped inquisitively on what Clemont had in mind, as Clemont smiled, his glasses giving off a glint as he stated, "The future is now, thanks to science! Clemontic Gear on"!
He then revealed a small, round, chartreuse, sphere-like machine that almost resembled a UFO, stating, "My Body-Detecting-Radar-Bot Mark III"!
Pikachu, being easily impressed as he was, chirped in awe, with Bunnelby praising Clemont for such a wonderful invention.
Clemont placed his device on the ground, adding, "Also called, the Life Detector."
Braixen groaned, sweatdropping as it muttered about the name being very..."unique."
Clemont pressed a button on his device that made it release a yellow, circular balloon that self-inflated, making it float up into the sky while he said, "Onward, my beautiful creation," which impressed Pikachu, Bunnelby, and Braixen.
Then, he pulled out an electronic tablet that had a radar screen on, and it was currently displaying thermographic pictures of him, Pikachu, Bunnelby, and Braixen in the middle of it. While doing so, Clemont explained, "This is called a thermography; a thermography projects and displays warm bodies. In other words, people and Pokemon."
Pikachu thought that the invention sounded really cool, while Braixen was rather curious on if this was actually going to work.
Then, Clemont sweatdropped while adding, "But it can't tell us what it's reacting to, whether it finds people or Pokemon."
At the sound of that, Pikachu and Bunnelby fell back in shock while Braixen groaned, using her paws to prevent herself form falling back from the shock of finding this out.
On the thermography screen, Clemont expanded the screen, saying, "This thermography shows us, so-," before he saw that the tablet picked up on a red dot, signifying that something was coming towards them. In surprise, he commented, "Wait, something's coming this way! It just might be Ash"!
Hearing the bushes rustle behind them, everyone turned their heads to be what it was, but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the Pangoros, who angrily growled at them, startling the group while clemont shouted, "It's Pangoro"!
Then, the Pangoro fired a hidden power at the group, to which Braixen quickly responded by intercepting with flamethrower, making a smoke cloud rise and block Pangoro's vision.
Clemont, seeing this, shouted, "Now's our chance to get away," as he and the Pokemon all started to run.
While he ran, he praised Braixen for its great battling effort, saying, "Braixen, you saved us! thank you," as Braixen smiled, chirping that it was happy to help.
Over by Serena, she, Chespin, Riolu, and Frogadier were walking down a forest path, looking around, while Serena called out, "Hey, Ash! Clemont? Bonnie! Lyra"?
Seeing that no one came out, she added, "They're not here, either," as Chespin chattered in concern.
Frogadier then sensed something, sticking its arm out, making Serena ask, "Oh, Frogadier, do you see something"?
Frogadier leaped behind the trees, looking around to make sure that there was no sign of danger. when it seemed safe to walk, he gestured to Serena, Riolu, and Chespin to keep walking, much to their relief.
Riolu wanted to help too, so it climbed up one of the trees to get a higher view, and leaped from tree to tree, trying to get an expanded view. But then, it slipped on one of the tree branches and fell, falling from the tree, right into Serena's arms, as she commented while catching Riolu, "Don't worry, I got you"!
Riolu looked up at Serena and smiled, chattering happily for her rescuing it, as Serena placed Riolu down, saying with a chuckle, "Why don't we continue our search safely on the ground, ok"?
Riolu nodded happily as the group continued to walk, with Frogadier leading the way. Serena couldn't help but smile while commenting, "You're so sweet to be acting as my bodyguard, Frogadier. Thank you."
Chespin, feeling jealous that Serena had called Frogadier a bodyguard, wanted to be one too, as it ran up in front of her and pretended to act tough. However, it felt Riolu place a hand on its shoulder, and shook its head, as if to tell Chespin not to overexert itself like this. Chespin sighed sadly while Riolu patted it on the back, trying to help it feel better.
Then, there was a rustle in the trees nearby, making Frogadier raise its hand and signal them to stop.
Chespin, curious, ran up to the tree to see if anyone was there. As it turned out, it was one of the other Pangoros, who angrily growled at Chespin, who ran away in fear, cowering behind Serena's leg.
Riolu and Frogadier grew defensive, ready to fight it. Pangoro fired a dark pulse at them, as Riolu intercepted it with a vacuum wave, creating a stalemate between the moves. Then, Frogadier jumped up and launched a frubble at the Pangoro, hitting it in the face, and because the rubble was so sticky, it was almost impossible to wipe off.
As the Pangoro struggled to get it off, Frogadier signaled Serena, Riolu, and Chespin to follow it, running off in a different direction. Serena, Riolu, and Chespin quickly followed it as they made their escape.
By Lyra, she and Zoroark were still looking around, with Zoroark calling out for their friends.
Meanwhile, while Lyra was looking around, she felt like someone was following them, and as it turned out, when she turned her head to look, it was the same Luxio she had helped earlier.
Curious, Lyra asked, "Luxio? What are you doing here? Why ae you following us"?
Luxio happily chattered to Lyra, running up to her and purring around her legs.
As Lyra petted the Luxio, she seemed to understand, saying, "Oh, you felt in gratitude for me helping you earlier"?
Luxio nodded in reply, as it jumped up, trying to cuddle with her.
Lyra giggled while hugging the Luxio, saying, "Ok, ok, I get it! Tell you what: if you want, we can use a hand with something if you want to help."
Luxio nodded again as it sat down, listening to what Lyra was gonna say, with the human saying, "Zoroark and I got separated from our friends, and we're struggling to find them. Think you can help us look"?
Luxio thought about it before smiling and nodded, sniffing around for any clues, while Zoroark and Lyra followed it.
Back with Bonnie and Meowth, Bonnie, Meowth, Chesnaught, and both Dedennes were going down forest path when Meowth felt his stomach rumble, commenting, "I'm starving."
Bonnie was feeling hungry, saying, "Me too," as her Dedenne chattered in agreement when it felt its stomach rumble.
Chesnaught and Lyra's Dedenne were also feeling hungry, feeling their stomachs rumble simultaneously.
Suddenly, all five of them turned around and saw a huge Nanab Berry tree growing plenty of delicious Nanab berries that looked ripe and ready to eat.
Meowth licked his lips, saying, "I'm coming, berries," and was set to climb the tree, but Chesnaught stopped him, grunting that it'd handle it. Then, it unleashed its vines and used them to grab five berries, dropping them down one at a time towards Bonnie, both Dedennes, and Meowth, and saving one for itself.
The little group all sat down and ate the Nanab berries together, with Meowth saying, "I got to say; for a twerpy Pokemon, you've got some good use on ya."
Chesnaught didn't know whether to take it as a compliment or an insult, so, it smiled and accepted the comment.
Lyra's Dedenne and Bonnie's Dedenne were happily eating their Nanab berries, with Bonnie commenting, "This stuff is really good"!
Meowth chewed on the last bit of his berry, saying, "The best"!
With Team Rocket, they were struggling with their search as well, not finding any sign of Meowth.
Inkay floated over to James, who asked it, "Did you find Meowth," as it shook its head no in reply.
Pumpkaboo also returned from its search, with Jessie asking it, "Or the twerps and their Pokemon," as it gave the "no sign" gesture as well.
Jame sighed, saying, "Looks like we're out of luck," with Wobbuffett chirping in agreement.
Back on the ledge, Ash, Pancham, and Silverstream made it to the top, and were looking out from the large view, with Ash commenting, "Woah, what a view! We can see everything from here"!
Pancham and Silverstream called out from the top of the ledge too, with their voices loud and clear, in hopes of someone hearing them.
Ash then noticed his Fletchinder flying in the distance,e making him say, "Cool, I thought so! Hey, Fletchinder"!
Pancham and Silverstream called out to Fletchinder to help it gets its attention and hopefully spot them.
Luckily, the fire bird saw them and spotted Ash and the two Pokemon, leading Luxray and Hawlucha over to them.
A few minutes later, Fletchinder, Hawlucha, and Luxray had let up with Ash, with Luxray leaping up onto Ash to greet him while Ash's two flying types happily reunited with him.
Ash smiled, feeling relieved that they were able to find some of their friends while saying, "Hey, you guys! so, where've you been"?
Luxray, Hawlucha, and Fletchinder all clamored about the little adventure they had, with Ash then asking his Fletchinder, "Hey, Fletchinder, will you look for the others in the air? And we'll look too."
Fletchinder happily squawked a "yes" in reply, before it took off into the air again to continue its search.
Back with Lyra, she, Zoroark, and Luxio were continuing to look around when Luxio smelled something interesting and started to peek its head into a bush, making Lyra ask, "Did you find something"?
At the same time, Serena, Chespin, Riolu, and Frogadier were walking nearby, when Riolu heard the bush beside it shake, and stuck its head in to look, much to Serena's curiosity, as she asked, "Riolu, did you find something"?
Riolu looked in the bush and saw a Luxio staring at it, much to its surprise, as Lyra then decided to take a look, asking, "Luxio, what did you find in here"?
When she peeked in to see, Riolu smiled, cheering happily to see Lyra, as Lyra smiled, shouting, "Riolu, it's you"! She picked up the fighting type, hugging it while saying, "Riolu, I'm so happy to see you," with Riolu nuzzling its trainer in reply.
This got Serena's attention as she, Chespin, and Frogadier came over to see what happened, and were relieved to see Lyra and Zoroark together, commenting, "Lyra! Zoroark"!
Zoroark saw Serena and ran to her, hugging the trainer as Serena commented while petting it, "You're safe, thank goodness"!
Lyra bent down towards Frogadier and Chespin, saying, "Hey, you two, how's it going," with Frogadier and Chespin happily chattering in reply.
Serena and Lyra then shared a hug, with Serena saying, "I'm so happy to see you're ok, sis," as Lyra replied, "Same here. I wasn't ready to be away from my sister again."
Serena then asked, "Hey, Lyra, have you seen Ash"?
Lyra answered, "No, I haven't yet. Have you seen Silverstream"?
Serena shook her head while saying, "Nope, I haven't either. But, we can help you look."
Luxio then approached Serena, greeting it and chattering how it wanted to help.
Serena, seeing the Luxio in front of her, smiled and said, "Well, hello there. Nice to meet you."
Lyra chuckled while saying, "This is Luxio; I met it while Zoroark and I were trying to find our friends."
Serena commented, "Well, I guess your fortune was right then, Lyra. The event that happened today did lead you to meet someone new."
Lyra then realized that Serena was right; her fortune had come true, making Lyra answer, "I guess so. Now, let's get searching."
With that, Serena, Lyra, and the Pokemon in tow continued their search in hopes of reuniting with the rest of their friends.
While they looked around, something in the plants nearby shook, making Frogadier and Chespin stretch their arms out to protect them, in case it was dangerous. However, what came out was luckily not dangerous; in fact, it was another familiar face: Clemont's Luxray.
Luckily, Serena and Lyra recognized it, with Lyra saying, "Look, it's Luxray," as Luxray gave them a warm greeting.
Soon, Hawlucha and Fletchinder joined him, along with Ash, Pancham, and Silverstream, as Ash said, "Hey, guys"!
Serena smiled, saying, "Pancham, Ash," before reuniting with her little panda fighting type, hugging it while saying, "Thank goodness you're safe."
Lyra reunited with Silverstream, saying, "Silverstream, you're ok," as the shiny Fennekin smiled and leaped into her trainer's arms, happy to be with Lyra again, as Riolu, who was resting on Lyra's shoulders, smiled and high-fived it, happy its teammate was back.
Luxio introduced itself to Luxray, who smiled and nuzzled Luxio's cheek, like a father Pokemon would to its child, with Luxio feeling inspired from meeting its evolved form/hero.
Ash bent down towards Chespin and Frogadier, asking happily, "Hey, is everyone doing ok," as both Pokemon nodded in reply, with Serena mentioning, "Frogadier made sure everyone was safe."
Ash praised his water type, saying, "Great job, Frogadier," as Frogadier beamed happily.
Then, Serena asked, "Hey, Ash, where's Braixen"?
Everyone looked around, wondering where the others were, with Ash commenting, "I haven't seen it around, and i still have no idea where Bonnie, clemont, and Pikachu are."
Lyra then mentioned, "I'm sure we'll find them, Ash. We just have to keep looking."
Back with Bonnie, while both Dedennes decided to take a nap in Bonnie's bag, Bonnie, Meowth, and Chesnaught all walked together, trying to find the others, when they came across a scary sight: one of the Pangoros from earlier sound asleep, on their path.
Bonnie and Meowth both shushed each other, not wanting to wake it up, before they felt Chesnaught pick them up, happily placing them on its back while whispering to them that it'd help them out.
Chesnaught gently tiptoed past the sleeping Pangoro, with Meowth whispering to it, "Wow, you's like a giant heroic savior of our wits"!
Chesnaught raised a finger up and whispered for it to be quiet, not wanting to wake up the Pangoro.
Soon, they made it past it, and were able to continue on, but then came across a new problem: a large gap between them, with more land on the other side, and a bunch of sleeping Foongus right below them.
Bonnie, seeing this, asked, "What do we do now"?
Meowth mentioned, "Too bad we don't got anything around to make a bridge. Then, we can simply walk across that gap like it's nothing."
Chesnaught looked around and then spotted a nearby tree that looked tall enough to reach the other side of the gap. So, it walked over to it and tried to pull it out of the ground, but the tree was stuck tight, making Chesnaught drop down into a sitting position and catch its breath.
Meowth and Bonnie hopped off of Chesnaught's shell, with Meowth commenting, "Oy, for a Pokemon that's big and strong in battle, you'd think it'd be strong enough to pull out something as simple aa a tree."
Bonnie then retorted, "That's because Chesnaught needs encouragement! You can do it, Chesnaught," while both Dedennes peeked their heads out of Bonnie's bag and cheered for the grass/fighting type.
Chesnaught smiled from hearing the cheering, before it got serious and flexed its muscles, shouting as it used the move bulk up to build up strength. Then, once it felt it was strong enough, it grabbed onto the tree with its hands, tried again, and was able to successfully pull the tree up from the ground.
Bonnie, Dedenne, Lyra's Dedenne, and Meowth were stunned to see such a great display of strength in action, as they watched Chesnaught carry the tree and lay it out perfectly, so it made the perfect bridge.
Bonnie cheered, saying, "Yippy yay! Now, we can cross it"!
Both Dedennes went across it first with ease, as Bonnie and Meowth took their time to make it across since they were still tied up together.
Finally, it was Chesnaught's turn, with Bonnie shouting, "Ok, Chesnaught, your turn"!
Chesnaught was set to cross the bridge, but when it saw the drop below, Chesnaught grew scared, too scared to cross it.
Meowth, seeing this, shouted, "Come on, we gotta keep moving"!
However, Chesnaught was too scared to move or even step foot on the bridge. But before it could even come to terms to admit it, it heard something march up from behind, and turned around, spotting the Pangoro that was asleep earlier coming at it, looking angry.
Bonnie and Meowth screamed from seeing the Pangoro coming at them.
Chesnaught turned around to face it, shouting at Meowth something in Pokemon language.
When Bonnie asked, "What did Chesnaught say," Meowth answered, "It said for us to make like a river and run while it holds off that pesky Pangoro"! On cue, both Dedennes, Bonnie, and Meowth followed Chesnaught's advice and ran to get away from the Pangoro, while Chesnaught prepared to fight it, gritting its teeth, but not afraid to back down.
With Clemont, he, Pikachu, Bunnelby, and Braixen were walking down a forest path when they heard something up in the sky and looked up, spotting Fletchinder soaring in the air. Clemont shouted, "Fletchinder! Hey, Fletchinder," to get its attention, as the fire bird saw him and made a mental notion to show Ash and the others what he spotted.
a few minutes later, Ash and the others caught up with Clemont's group, with Pikachu happily reunited with Ash, as he said while hugging the electric mouse, "Pikachu," as Pikachu chirped happily to be with Ash again.
Braixen reunited with Serena, the two holding hands/paws while Serena said, "Braixen, I'm so glad you're safe," with Braixen chirping happily in reply.
While everyone was happily reuniting, Clemont then saw that someone was missing, asking, "Uh, where's Bonnie"?
Everyone heard this, with Ash asking, "she's not with you"?
Lyra then asked, "What about Chesnaught and Dedenne? I had let them out to help us find you; did you see 'em"?
Clemont responded, "No, I haven't."
Ash then declared, "Then, we're gonna have to keep looking to find them.
With Bonnie and Meowth, they were crossing the edge of a nearby river, with Lyra's Dedenne resting on top of Bonnie's head, when Meowth slipped and, because he and Bonnie were still tied together, they both got pulled into the water and dragged by the current. Bonnie and Meowth, and both Dedennes help on tight, as the river flow dragged them downstream, and passed a rock that ended up cutting the vine in two, but they were too scared and too worried to notice.
Bonnie soon noticed that they were about to pass a tee with a hanging vine, and saw it as an opportunity to grab the hanging vine, with Meowth hanging onto her, saying, "That was close."
Once they were able to get back onto the land, Bonnie, Meowth, and both Dedennes took a second to get themselves dry, before Meowth noticed the cut vine, saying, "look, the vine got cut into two."
Bonnie took notice of this, saying, "Oh yeah it did," as Meowth added while they both got the vines off of them, "Which means...we can now go our separate ways."
Suddenly, Lyra's Dedenne began to sense something, its cheeks sending out sparks or electricity. Bonnie noticed this and asked, "Hey, did you sense something"?
Lyra's Dedenne leaped onto the ground and started to run off, with Bonnie and her Dedenne following after it, with bonnie shouting, "Hey, wait up," while leaving Meowth behind.
Meowth didn't seem to mind at first, saying, "You know, I had enough twerpy fun for one day...even if I'm now stuck here all alone," before he heard the roar of a Pangoro nearby, which frightened him. not wanting to become Pangoro bait, he shouted, "Hey, twerpette! Wait for me," and ran after Bonnie in fear of one of the Pangoros spotting him.
Back with the rest of the group, Luxio began to sense something, which Lyra saw and asked, "Luxio, everything ok"?
Luxio didn't respond at first, as it senses the electricity, and then ran off, following it, making Lyra shout, "Guys, let's follow Luxio! It might know something"!
Everyone began to follow Luxio as it kept following what it was sensing.
With Bonnie and Meowth, they kept following Lyra's Dedenne until they looked up in the sky and spotted a familiar sight: Fletchinder, making Bonnie shout happily, "Hey, look; it's Fletchinder," while Meowth added, "The twerps must be close"!
Soon, the little gang caught up with the rest of their friends, who have returned most of their Pokemon except for Pancham, Chespin, Pikachu, Luxio (since it had no trainer), Fletchinder, and Silverstream, with everyone happily greeting Bonnie, as Clemont asked while hugging Bonnie, "Bonnie, are you ok"?
Bonnie smiled, saying, "I'm doing just fine, I'm really happy to see you, guys"!
Lyra reunited with her Dedenne, saying, "Great job, Dedenne! And good job, Luxio, for sensing Dedenne's electricity"!
Luxio smiled in pride, happy that it could help, while Lyra's Dedenne happily greeted it, sending welcoming waves of electricity.
Suddenly, Lyra looked around, asking, "Hey, where's Chesnaught," before spotting Meowth and asking, "And what's Meowth doing here"?
Meowth saw everyone looking at it and nervously smiled, saying, "See, it's kind of a long story."
Just then, everyone heard the bushes rustle, and they all Chesnaught coming out of the forest, smiling and waving at them, and looked completely unharmed.
Lyra smiled, saying, "It's Chesnaught"!
Then, they saw something that was following Chesnaught, as it turned out to be the trio of Pangoros from earlier. Meowth panicked and backed up, joining the rest of the group, with Ash saying, "The Pangoro again," while Serena asked, "Why are they following Chesnaught"?
Chesnaught made it to the group and then placed its hands up, grunting something in Pokemon language.
bonnie, remembering that Meowth could translate for Pokemon, commented, "Meowth, what's it's saying"?
Meowth answered, "Apparently, Chesnaught's saying that everyone can be calm because it was able to talk to the Pangoro and get things sorted out, but they want us to hear them out first."
Bonnie then asked Chesnaught, "but, when we saw you, that Pangoro looked like it was about to attack you"!
Chesnaught started to explain, as Meowth translated, "You's right, the Pangoro did try to attack it, but you see..."
Flashback to earlier
After Bonnie, Meowth, and both Dedennes got away, Chesnaught saw the Pangoro charging at it and was set to fight it if necessary.
The Pangoro fired off a hyperbeam at Chesnaught, who dodges it, before it shot its hands up, trying to talk some sense into the Pangoro.
Chesnaught started to explain things clearly to the Pangoro, before the other two came over, and overheard the conversation.
The Pangoros listened as Chesnaught struck a deal: they'd hear them out on what the problem was, as long as the Pangoros didn't attack then recklessly until things got cleared up.
The Pangoros looked at each other and agreed to the deal before they all started to search for the trainers again.
End of Flashback
Chesnaught continued as Meowht translated, "So after it got the trio to calm down, he got them to agree for us to hear the problem in exchange for not attacking."
After Chesnaught finished talking, he turned towards the Pangoro and bowed at them before returning to Lyra's side, as the Pangoros started to talk one by one on what the issue was.
Meowth translated, "Aparently, they're having some trouble with their food supply."
Ash asked, "Their food supply," while Lyra commented, "Something tells me we oughta check it out."
So, they all followed the Pangoros over to a large tree, one Meowth seemed to know particularly too well, as he nervously stated, "See, that's their tree."
The Pangoros started to explain the problem while Meowth translated, saying, "Pangoro says that this tree grows gobs of grub. So, every year, they get together and divide that grub up between them. So then, all of a sudden, they see a bunch of crooks that steal their berries and run away."
Lyra then remembered something, saying, "Wait, berries? They wouldn't be those round, red ones we saw earlier, would they"?
The Pangoros all nodded in accordance to the answer, as Meowth nervously gulped when everyone seemed to realize what really happened: that the berries Team Rocket had earlier, were probably the stolen berries from the tree.
One of the Pangoros spoke up, as Meowth translated, "They saw ya holding their berries and assumed you guys took it."
Lyra then spoke up, saying, "Hold on, we didn't take them; we only saw them on the ground after Team Rocket took them," as Meowth panicked, saying, "Don't bust me"!
One of the Pangoros asked Meowth a question that made the Scratch Cat Pokemon gulp, replying with, "You know, I ask myself the same question."
Then, on cue, the rest of Team Rocket showed up, with Jessie saying, "Meowth, there you are! We've been searching for you everywhere"!
Meowth facepalmed, saying, "Why'd you lugs gotta show up now"?!
Team Rocket started to say their motto, and unfortunately, while Meowth tried to protest, he ended up joining in, which turned out to be a huge mistake.
Luxio noticed the bag of berries and guessed those must've been the ones that were the Pangoros and ran up to James, leaping up and grabbing the net from him, as James shouted, "Hey, give that back"!
Luxio dragged it over to the Pangoros, who used slash to cut the net open, much to Team Rocket's dismay. as Meowth commented, "Now that the Pangoros know it was us, they aren't too pleased"!
Jessie, terrified, commented, "Not? Pleased? What does that mean," while James scaredly mentioned, "That sounds dangerous."
The Pangoros then combined attacks, mixing dark pulse, hidden power, and hyper beam, and sent Team Rocket blasting off again far, far away.
Once Team Rocket was gone, everyone worked together to help recollect all of the berries and gave them back to the Pangoros. The three Pangoros smiled and thanked the trainers for helping them out.
Serena smiled, saying, "Now you got them all back; dig in." Then, to her surprise, she saw a Pangoro offering her a berry, which was a very generous offer.
The other Pangoros offered Bonnie, Lyra, Clemont, and Ash berries too, even their Pokemon, as Clemont commented, "I think this is their way of apologizing."
Lyra then mentioned, "It's all good, Pangoro; no hard feelings. Well, guys, we know what to do."
With that, everyone, people and Pokemon, began to eat the berries together, with Ash even mentioning, "So, let's eat," and digging into his berry, adding, "It tastes great."
Chesnaught was eating the berry offered to it when he saw the Pangoro that he talked to earlier smiled and patted it on the back, thanking it for helping it come back to its senses, with Chesnaught smiling in reply.
Luxio was eating its berry while looking up at Lyra, smiling and purring by her legs.
Lyra giggled, saying, "Wow, you are definitely a friendly Pokemon."
Suddenly, she got a great idea, asking Luxio, "Say, Luxio, do you want to travel with me"?
Luxio thought about the offer before smiling, nodding its head in reply.
Lyra smiled happily, pulling out a Pokeball and saying, "Alright, go Pokeball," and tossing it at Luxio, as the Pokeball absorbed it inside, shaking three times before sparkling stars emerged, signifying the successful catch.
Lyra held the Pokeball up high, saying, "Alright! Guess my fortune came true today, because, I just caught...a Luxio," with Silverstream cheering right beside her.
Later on, around sunset, as our heroes were set to head off, the Pangoros were all waving goodbye and saying their partings towards them, thanking them for helping to save their food.
Everyone was saying their happy goodbyes before starting to head off towards their next location.
As the gang walked together, Bonnie was telling them about the adventure she had with Meowth, as Serena commented, "Tied to Meowth with a vine? Talk about awful," as Lyra mentioned, "guess your fortune was right, Bonnie; it did say you'd have the worst day of all year."
Bonnie replied happily, "It wasn't all that bad. Actually, it was a lot of fun! Right, Dedenne? Chesnaught? Dedenne"?
Bonnie's Dedenne chattered in agreement, while Chesnaught and Lyra's Dedenne both smiled and nodded in agreement as well, with Lyra, in confusion, asking, "Really? You're...joking, right"?
Bonnie and Chesnaught shared a look and winked at each other, smiling about the crazy day they all had together.
Separated for a little bit, but in the end, our heroes were able to reunite and join together again, with many new memories and moments made, as the journey continues!
