Izuku trembled as he found himself in yet another predicament, his body going insanely tense upon realizing the consequences of his actions. In his defense, he didn't have a choice. He couldn't just stand by and let Kara and Diana's scrap go on, destroying whatever was left of the classroom they occupied for the duration of their detention. It's a shame he didn't step in sooner, because damn! the classroom was in crazy disarray already. Yup, they were so expelled when the principal gets a load of this.

However, that's a pressing issue for later, as Izuku had a different problem to face that definitely caused him the most stress. The problem? Explaining the powers he had just exposed to the girls surrounding him. Babs especially.

As the boy quaked while still holding onto the dazed Kryptonian and Amazonian, sweating bullets as he suffered the wrath of the other girls' befuddled gazes, he tried to think up a rational enough explanation for all he'd done. Who's he kidding? There's nothing he can say to rationalize any of this superpowered madness.

"Izuku?"

He flinched upon hearing Barbara's call.

"Y-Yeah, Babs?" He responded, nearly losing his nerve as the redhead approached him.

Before saying anything else, Barbara looked to what his hands were connected to and gave each web cocoon a thorough looksee, paying the barely conscious girls within them no mind.

"Is this... web?" She asked, poking at Kara's cocoon before doing the same to Diana's.

Izuku reluctantly admitted the truth. "I-It is.." If only he could wipe the sweat forming on his brow.

"..Huh..." Was all she had to say. That really confused Izuku as he had expected a bombardment of questions, knowing Babs and her interesting personality.

With that piece of information, Barbara's inner sleuth got to work. 'Webs... super strength... crazy good agility... invisibility.. Hmm, I can't exactly remember who it is, but I swear that I've read up on a hero who possesses these exact powe-' She halted midthought as it hit her right then and there, gasping as if she'd made the greatest discovery mankind would ever know. That's an exaggeration, obviously. But to her, it may as well be the best mystery she ever solved. 'Musutafu, that's right! That's why it sounded so familiar when he brought it up earlier!' She thought with elation as a wide grin split across her face. "Oh my gosh.." She looked up at Izuku with a chipper gleam in her eye. "You're... You're him, aren't you?"

Izuku's anxiety skyrocketed, the heavy amount of sweat drenching his palms almost causing him to lose his grip. He didn't dare insult his new friend by underestimating her intelligence, as it was only a matter of putting the clues together and solving the mystery... of his hero identity. Plus, he did basically hand the more obvious clues to her on a silver platter. Honestly, it'd take a fool to miss it. "I-I'm who now..?" He gulped, as there's still a part of him that hoped she didn't solve it.

"Oh, don't you even try playing dumb with me there, buster." Babs giggled as she tapped at Izuku's chest. "You know exactly who I'm talking about. I mean, come on. It's pretty obvious to anyone who knows of him. Or you, I guess I should say. Am I right, or am I right... Spider-Man." She cheekily said with no lick of hesitation, letting the other girls hear her shocking reveal loud and clear.

As his heart dropped, Izuku's lingering bit of hope vanished.

"Is it just me? Or did she just call him Spider-Man?" Jessica whispered as she glanced at Karen, not knowing if she heard Babs correctly as she didn't know of any hero with such a name. Not in America anyway.

"That's what it sounded like, but I've never heard of a 'Spider-Man' before." Karen replied, appearing to be just as lost.

Together, they looked over at Zee, questioning her if she had any knowledge on the aforementioned hero just by their gazes alone. They sighed as all they got was a clueless shrug.

For a good minute, Izuku went stiff as a statue upon hearing Babs' correct accusation, the level of sweat he leaked nearly reaching dehydration levels. At least he didn't need to explain a thing seeing as she already figured it out. That would've been difficult for him to do. So, that's a load off... ish.

With the jig being way up, he only had one thing to ask Barbara. A question that would confirm her onpoint suspicion. "Y... Y-You're not going to tell anyone, are you?"

In response to that, Barbara first gave Izuku an incredulous look before sputtering into a fit of hysterical laughter, catching the others by surprise as they looked at her as if she'd gone mental. As for Izuku, he looked around awkwardly as he didn't know if he should take that as a yes or no. Then, as Babs settled and wiped away a tear, he got somewhat of an answer.

"Now, just what kind of bestie do you take me for, huh?" The redhead chuckled as she shook her head in feign disapproval. "I'd have to be a terrible one to up and do you dirty like that. There's a reason why best is in the title, my dear Spidey." She's certain she could refer to him as such now.

...

"...So... you're not going to tell anyone?" Izuku dumbly asked as he wasn't quite getting it.

Barbara immediately deadpanned at the clueless boy. "In other words, yes; that's about the gist of what I'm saying." Sheesh, how obvious can a girl get?

Sensing that he could actually trust her, the dreadful weight of betrayal left Izuku's shoulders as he chuckled in sweet relief. 'I swear, this day just might be the end of me..' He couldn't completely relax as there's still the issue of the other girls knowing his hero persona.

As the concern occured to him, his eyes were wide again as he slowly raised his head to look over behind Barbara, shuddering at seeing Jessica, Karen and Zee blink at him upon making eye contact. "I, uh... don't suppose I can count on you all to keep this between us as well?" He beared high hopes that they'd follow Babs' lead.

Thankfully, his wish was granted as Zee was first to speak her piece.

"Oh, trust me, my dear. If there's one thing in this world that I know how to do, it's how to keep a secret." The lovely violette smirked. "So, don't worry. Your secret's most definitely safe with me. You're lucky I understand that it's not my place to tell." She reassured, providing Izuku some comfort. "What say you, ladies?" She then steered attention over to Karen and Jessica.

Surprisingly, out of the two of them, a bashful Karen replied first.

"Um, while I don't completely understand what's going on here, nor do I even know you actually, you haven't given me any reason to cause you any stress. Not that I'd ever wish to regardless. If it means that much to you, I'll gladly make sure that no one knows your secret from me. Promise." To support that claim, the little brunette smiled at Izuku while nodding her head, helping him feel a little bit better as he felt no deceit from her.

If he's to finally be at ease, he first needed to hear what Jessica had to say as all eyes were now on her.

Jessica was startled upon being put solely in the spotlight, but powered through as she did have her answer. "Well, seeing as I'd never in a million years want to ruin someone's life by exposing such a... sensitive secret, what choice do I have but to keep it to myself?" She shrugged while managing a comforting smile of her own.

Like with the two previous girls, Izuku accepted Jessica's words as he detected sincerity behind them. Finally, his heart could truly settle.

"Thank you all, really." He sighed gratefully as he hung his head, his expression calming along with his mood. "I know it's a burden that you'd rather not carry, but I'm sure you can imagine why it'd be horrible for me if my secret ever got out. So again, from the very bottom of my heart, thank you for your... discretion."

"Everyone has skeletons that they hide deep in the closet, my dear. Granted, not a lot of people can say that they're an actual live superhero, but the idea's not exactly impossible in this day and age, now is it? Seems to be getting more common everyday in fact." Said Zee as she rested her chin over her hands, her fingers intertwined while she pressed her elbows on her desk. "Besides, if the roles were reversed, you look trustworthy enough to grant us similar kindness. So, it only seems fair that we keep our mouths shut for you."

"You're an excellent judge of character, I see." Izuku heartily complimented.

"Why thank you. I like to think so." Zee playfully shrugged. "Now, as much I enjoy receiving such flattering comments from handsome charmers like you," She paused to give the young spider a subtle wink, which had him blushing as it didn't go unnoticed. "I believe it's time we get to introductions before we progress with anything else, don't you think?"

'Oh, come on! Not another Felicia situation..' In her thoughts, Barbara grumbled in displeasure as the flirtatious interaction did not slip past her, Zee's behaviour towards Izuku reminding her of a certain pretty blonde. Nevertheless, she held back from expressing her annoyance further as she continued to smile.

"Sure. That sounds reasonable." Izuku concurred after shaking off his redness. "Buuut, I think we should wait for these two to come back to us first. They're just as much in this as we are, if not more so." He gestured to Kara and Diana by lightly pulling the cocoons towards him, the swirls in their eyes slowing down as their vision nearly returned, the volume of their sick groans easing up as well.

"Mm, Fair enough, I suppose." Zee nonchalantly replied as she stood up from her seat, surprising her fellow detentionaires as they didn't expect her to get out of it at all. "I guess in the meantime, I'll get to cleaning this place up before Mr. Chapin returns." With that suggestion, Zee sashayed her way over to the middle of the room, taking a quick scan of it to better take in all the carnage. 'My, my... They really did a number on this place, didn't they? If it had escalated any further, they could've destroyed the whole school if they wanted to.. Oh, well.' She thought without much care.

'Hmm, and how exactly does she plan to do that, I wonder?' Barbara asked herself, rubbing her chin with intense curiosity as she gazed at Zee's back. Call her crazy, but she sensed that something mind blowing was bound to happen... again.

"Uh... I don't know if you've noticed, but I don't think even the world's greatest maid could clean up this mess in time." Jessica bit her lip as she didn't look forward to the punishment they'd receive for this disaster.

"And fixing walls isn't exactly part of a maid's job description. At least, I-I don't think it is." Karen added, worriedly eyeing the large hole Diana had made when she was punched through the wall earlier.

"As much as I don't wish to agree, but I'm afraid they're right." Izuku chimed in. "Even if we start cleaning now, I don't know if we'll even get halfway done before the principal gets back." He sighed dejectedly, sounding as if he already accepted this dire and embarrassing fate; reluctantly so. 'At this point, we might as well prepare to face our inevitable expulsion..' He admitted that part to himself, figuring that's the last thing the girls want to hear at this time.

After hearing out their concerns, Zee simply scoffed as they had no reason to carry such worries. Not when they had her around. "If circumstances were normal, I'd be inclined to agree with you. However..." Looking over her shoulder at the group, Zee flashed them a confident smirk. Color them amazed upon witnessing what had happened next.

In a swift and fluid motion, Zee waved her hands by her chest before extending them outwards beside her, a magician's wand having appeared in her right hand seemingly out of nowhere. "It's a good thing that I too have my own set of... special quirks." She then raised her wand and began chanting what sounded like a spell, calmly waving the wand around as she did. What had everyone really gasping in astonishment though was the glimmering pink energy that emanated from the wand's tip.

"Ekam siht moor kcips dna naps!"

Then, a blinding light had consumed the room... and them.

A/N: Hey guys, long time, no see? Lol Jokes aside, before I say anything else, I first just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Or Happy Holidays! Whichever one you like to go by most. XD

Okay, down to business. I know it's been kind of a hot minute since I last updated, and I apologize for taking so long to get back to writing in general. But you know, with life always seeming to find a way to kick me in the ass, especially now that I've recently gotten a promotion at work that has given me more responsibility than I can handle most days, it's much more rare now that I come home with even the slightest bit of energy. Most days, I just want to come home after a hard day at work to either sleep, watch anime or play video games. And with the fun titles that have been coming out recently, I've been pretty caught up in games especially. First, there was AC: Valhalla, then CoD: Cold War(Yes, I still enjoy the CoD games. Don't bully me. XD) Aaand Cyberpunk 2077. Despite how much of a buggy and glitchy mess that game is, I'm still very much enjoying it. Lol I've made it known that I am a simple man, so it doesn't take much for me to enjoy something.

Anyway, yeah, I just haven't been up to writing for the last month and a half. So that all pretty much sums what's been going on with me during that time. I don't know when I'll update again, but I hope you can bear with me during these busy times I face. It'd be very much appreciated. (:

All right, while most times I've been busy with both my job and my geeky hobbies, I've also been taking some time to think about this story during the times that I wasn't. And I'm proud to say that I've made some changes and done a bit of replanning to really make this story one to remember. Probably not the smartest move to make in your guys' eyes, but trust me! I thought of it carefully. At least... I think I did. XD

Melissa herself will be going out to kick crime in the butt as well eventually! But the question now is, what exactly will be HER hero persona? Well, let's see here.. She's wealthy, highly intelligent, and crazy good at inventing, as well as engineering, nifty gadgets and... other items. Hmm, one can only guess, I suppose. (;

Now, for the first new addition to the harem... I mean, come on guys. How could I not include Silver Sable in the long run? XD

As for Sue Storm, keep in mind that Mr. Fantastic DOES NOT exist in this story. That's all I'll say on that for now. Lol

For Barbi, I'll explain in just two words; Character... Development. Nuff said.

Lastly, as you may have noticed, there's big 'ole ? at the final spot. And to clarify, that's just a girl who I have decided to keep secret for now, as this one's reveal is just too much of a surprise! worthy treat. XD However, I'll give you a hint. She's a DC character.

Doesn't really narrow down the list of suspects, does it? But come on! That's what makes it so fun! ...for me. Muahahaha! ...I'm sorry. XD

Alrighty, before I let y'all be, I want to apologize for yet again another short chapter. I'll start speeding things along just a teensy bit more come the next few updates, as we all know how it mostly goes from here, I'm sure. I'll be making my own twist on certain things, of course, but for the most part, events will more or less be the same. After the whole 'Sweet Justice' Arc is where this story really kicks off anyway. (;
