The night was rough for Danny, first he had to find a place to sleep, which was a problem in itself. He couldn't just go up to some random stranger and ask if they had an extra bed or something. So the search was on, at least for somewhere "comfortable" to sleep. He didn't really feel like sleeping in an alley again, so a bench was his next best bet.

Finn kept looking up at Danny with worried eyes as he looked around for a bench to sleep on. He was concerned at the fact that his human was walking around looking for a place to sleep outside and not having a home. Finn was sure Danny did have a home, but something bad happened. And it would have had to be recent. He didn't want to bring it up and upset Danny, poor thing. So he just settled for concerned and caring looks towards the teen.

Danny eventually settled for a bench in the park. It wasn't bad and he would wake up early so that he wouldn't run into any people while he was sleeping there. He also needed to find this 'Françoise Dupont High' in the morning. Ugh.

Danny nudged up against the back of the bench and snuggled into his hoodie. Finn smiled as Danny's eyes started to close. The kwami flew out and snuggled up against Danny's neck inside his hoodie. Danny's eyes flickered open for a second when the kwami touched him, but he smiled lightly before eventually falling asleep.

Danny was now standing outside of the school he was going to, backpack slung over his shoulder. Said backpack was black and white with ecto green stitching. Danny didn't think he could roll his eyes any harder when he found it on the bench next to him in the morning. Because of course Clockwork would pack his bag for him on his first day of school.

Inside the bag was all of his needed school essentials, paper, pencils, and all that. But something else caught Danny's eye, there was some extra "stuff" Clockwork added for him. First, there was a Fenton thermos, Danny was sure he wouldn't need it anymore, but better safe than sorry.

There was also a small compact Fenton ecto ray blaster. Danny chuckled looking at it, I guess at least he knew how to use it. It didn't really look like a gun, it was just a white very small cylinder about the size of a lipstick, if you pressed the green button on the top it would expand into a handheld blaster, so he wouldn't be flagged down by any teachers for having a sci-fi blaster in his backpack. There were a few other things in there, but he could go over those later.

But right now he had to focus on the mission at hand. Survive his first day of school. AGAIN! He took a deep breath and looked down at the small shark looking up at him from his pocket. He had a reassuring smile, telling Danny that he was going to be okay. He started walking up the stone steps up to the doors of the school.

When he walked into the school, he was greeted by a red-haired woman with a kind smile. She reminded him of Jazz. "Daniel Winchester?" She asked, looking down at the raven-haired teen. Danny chuckled at the name. Maybe Clockwork did have a sense of humor.

"Yeah, that's me."

She smiled again before turning around. "I'll take you to the principal's office, to get everything arranged." Danny followed the woman up some more steps and into a large principal's office. Definitely bigger than the one they had back in Amity Park.

Sitting down at the desk was a large man with a grey beard. He kind of looked similar to an owl in Danny's opinion. "Ahh, Daniel come sit." He gestured to the chair. "Thank you Miss Bustier, you should get ready for your class." Danny sat down in the chair and kept his backpack on his shoulder. Alright, let's do this.

X

Miss Bustier walked into the classroom and stood at the front of the class, she waited for a couple seconds patiently for the teens in the class to stop talking amongst themselves. "Attention students,'' she called out. Everyone's eyes were now trained on her, the room silent. "In a couple minutes I would like to introduce our new foreign exchange student to this class, he is just getting his paperwork approved in the principal's office."

Everyone seemed surprised, they were definitely not expecting a new student today. Marinette was hoping in the back of her mind that this 'new student' was nothing like Lila. She growled thinking of the name and glanced back at the brown-haired girl sitting in the back of the class as she sat there with her legs crossed and a smile on her face.

"New student? But it's so late in the school year." Max questioned, confused.

"I hope he's cool," Kim added.

"Now please class pay attention." Miss Bustier continued. "I want you to treat our new student with kindness and respect."

The students all nodded in unison.

"Where is he from?" Nathaniel asked.

"He is from America."

Chloe flipped her hair. "Ugh, finally, an American boy I can talk to. He is probably more civilized than the lot of you."

"We certainly hope he's not like you Chloe," Nino commented, causing most of the students to chuckle. Chloe just turned away with her arms crossed. She huffed, They'll see, they'll all see how great she is, one day.

There was then a knock at the door that shut everybody up. "Oh, come in dear." Miss Bustier called out. The boy tentatively opened the door and walked in, standing next to the teacher, his back slightly hunched, making it look like he was embarrassed or nervous about being the center of attention.. "Class, this is Daniel Winchester." She gestured to the young boy, clipboard in hand.

"But you can call me Danny," he added. The boy was wearing a large hoodie and some dark blue jeans, black and white backpack slung over his shoulder. His hand was gripping onto the strap for dear life.

"Danny, you can sit in the empty seat next to Ivan, behind Marinette." She gestured with her hand towards the empty seat.

Danny nodded before walking down the middle of the classroom in between the rows of seats. Trying to ignore the people staring at him. He sat down behind this dark-blue-haired girl, placing his backpack on the ground next to him. The girl and her friend next to her, turned around and waved politely at Danny before turning back to the front of the class.

After studying the brown-haired girl in front of him for a couple moments he quickly recognized her as the one he had saved yesterday, she was getting close to the fight trying to film for her blog or something. He looked to his side to look closer at the boy he was seated next to. He seemed kind of big, like a jock of some sort. Danny just hoped he wasn't a bully or something.

He glanced down at the crossbones on the boy's shirt and then it struck him. That was the boy! The one who turned into the large stone monster, the one he and those heroes had fought the other day. And he was just here acting normal after that experience?

"Okay students, we will be starting class now. No more chatter." Miss Bustier called out.

Danny sat up straight and looked ahead at the kind-hearted teacher as she started her class.

After class, lots of people were eager to talk to the new student. So as soon as they left the classroom, Danny was immediately greeted by two boys. One of them was slightly taller with darker skin and a ball cap on his head. He held out his hand to shake Danny's. "Hey, man, nice to meet you. My name is Nino!"

He grabbed onto the shoulder of the blond next to him. "And this is my best bud, Adrien." Adrien smiled nicely and shook Danny's hand as well. He was wearing a white shirt and had blond hair. Danny was slightly taller than him.

"And my name is Danny." He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "But you already knew that."

"Don't sweat it, dude." Nino waved him off.

"So what do you think of Paris so far?" Adrien asked.

Danny shrugged. Other hand still holding onto the strap of his backpack. "Well, I have only been here a couple days so I haven't really gotten to see very much of it. But so far it's cool."

"Dude, what's it like in America?" Nino asked.

"It's pretty different. This city is also much bigger than what I am used to."

Adrian was about to say something else when they turned to see two girls jog up to them. The two girls that were sitting in front of him in class. The brown-haired girl held onto Nino's arm. "Hey girls." Adrien started.

Nino turned to look at Danny again. "This is my girlfriend Alya, and her friend Marinette."

Alya immediately stuck her hand out to shake Danny's hand while Marinette waved nicely. Holding her arm nervously.

"Hey, It's so cool to meet you!" Alya started. "I hope Nino wasn't scaring you off already," she chuckled.

Danny waved her off. "No, you guys are great, I am happy to have a nice welcome and people who want to talk with me." He smiled at them. "I also don't have any friends here in Paris yet."

"Well consider us your new friends," Adrien said nicely.

Danny smiled warmly. "I would like that." Danny's core thrummed happily in his chest. Maybe making friends might be good for him. The least he could do is try, maybe it would work out.

"Ooh, did you guys see my Lady Blog post about the new superhero?" Alya piped up.

"Yeah, you probably would have killed me if I didn't." Nino chuckled, rubbing the back of his head.

Marinette and Danny both looked slightly surprised for slightly different reasons. "You posted that already, how did I miss it?" Marinette groaned hitting her head with the palm of her hand.

Alya chuckled, probably already expecting this as she was on her phone sending her best friend the link.

Danny turned to look at Alya, "New superhero?" He asked.

"Yeah, there's a new superhero in Paris. I saw him with Chat Noir and Ladybug yesterday. His name is Riptide." The girl explained, quickly turning her phone around to show said 'hero' grabbing her and moving her out of the way. "But, I didn't get very much footage from the fight." She put her phone away. "I am hoping to snag an interview with him sometime."

Danny was slightly taken aback by this, he had never really been defined as a hero before, well maybe by his best friends back home… but still, he had always been the menace, the freak. Now, these people saw him for one day and called him a hero? Would this even stick? Does-, does he even deserve it?

Danny was suddenly taken out of his spiraling trance when the blue-haired girl checked her phone and jumped after she looked at it. "Sorry, guys. I need to, umm. Help at the…Bakery! Yes, the bakery, my parents really need me today, they are sooo busy. Like, store overflowing busy. So, yeah I need to go." She shrugged her shoulders while sputtering out words, she was already backing out the door.

"Okay, bye Marinette," Adrien said with a polite wave.

Marinette chuckled nervously. "Bye Adrien." She tripped over her own feet and just barely caught herself. "Oh, and bye Danny, nice meeting you!" She called out, running out the doors.

Danny turned to the others with a raised eyebrow. "What was that all about?" He asked.

Alya chuckled, Nino's arm now around her shoulders. "Who knows. That girl will never change."

Marinette didn't even notice the time. She needed to call Chat Noir! Sure meeting Danny was nice, and he seemed nice. But she can't let that distract her, she and Chat need to figure out this Riptide problem as soon as possible.

She ran over to their normal meet-up spot for patrol and pulled out her bug phone. She clicked on the green paw icon and held it out to her ear, biting her knuckle nervously. After a couple rings the answering machine came on. "Hello, this is Chat Noir, yes, the Chat Noir, but I can't pick up right now. I'm probably saving Paris or hanging out with my lady. Please leave a message that is as charming as I am!" There was then a beep.

Ladybug rolled her eyes slightly at the message before starting to leave her own. "Chat, we need to talk. Please meet me at our north patrol spot." She closed her phone with a snap. Hopefully, he will be there soon.

X

Adrien was talking with Danny, Nino, and Alya for a little while now. It was fun chatting, Danny seemed really nice and Adrien genuinely didn't see anything wrong with him. He got a ping on his phone. He noticed that Danny looked over at him, but only for a split second. The phone had a small ladybug symbol on an icon. Ladybug had left a message for him.

His phone had been connected to his suit since he became Chat Noir, and he would get alerts if he gets a message and needs to transform to hear it. He quickly made up an excuse and rushed out to transform.

He quickly spotted Ladybug on a roof, at the normal patrol spot just like she said. He swooped in and landed down next to her. "What seems to be the Purrr'oblem Bugaboo? Sorry, I'm a little late, I was a little tied up." He spun his staff in his hands before resting his chin on it.

"Chat, we need to talk about Riptide."
