#EnterSpider-Man
( Cue "Spider-Man" - Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 OST by John Paesano )
"Okay. I'm pretty sure that I speak for all of us when I ask this, but what does us being on a rooftop have to do with our hero training, Diana?" Asked Zee as she eyed Diana curiously, watching the Amazon, who's back in her hero attire, pace back and forth calmly before her and her fellow heroes in training, all of them standing side by side while still in their street clothes.
Like Zee, Jessica and Karen wondered the same thing as they observed Diana's movement with confusion. Kara looked like she didn't want to be there, and Barbara was... Well, again, being Barbara.
"Yeah, I'm with Zee on this one. I fail to see why us being up here is imperative to our training." Jessica said.
"Well, we better not just be wasting time. I can think of much better things to do than sticking around here, you know." Kara huffed, clearly impatient.
"This does seem kinda pointless.." Karen timidly chimed in.
"Well, I'm not worried." Barbara chirped, looking around as everyone, excluding Diana, looked at her with raised brows. "What? Oh, come on, you guys! I'm sure that Diana and Izuku wouldn't bring us here if it wasn't important. There's just gotta be a good reason! Isn't that right, Diana?"
"Of that, you are correct, Barbara Gordon." Diana nodded, stopping before facing them. "Do not fret, sisters. I assure you, there is validity as to the reason behind this particular assembly of ours. However, if we are to proceed, we first must wait for my... co-instructor to arrive. He should be here momentarily." With that said, Diana resumed her walk, leaving the girls with more questions than answers. One question in particular being more apparent than the rest.
"Speaking of, where did Izuku go off to? Honestly, I didn't even notice he was missing until now. I thought he was beside Kara this whole time." Jessica proved her own assumption wrong as she peaked around to Kara's left.
Kara leaned back slightly to give the latina a better view. "Nope. He's been gone for a little while now."
"And no one bothered to say anything?" Asked a bewildered Karen.
"At least now we know just how slippery that boy can be." Zee pouted, disappointed that the cute boy was MIA.
"Calm yourselves. It is as I said. He will rejoin us shortly." Diana replied, smirking as she intentionally kept them in the dark about Izuku's whereabouts.
Diana's response caused everyone to deflate, her expression not going unnoticed as their curiosity just got worse. However, they kept their mouths shut as they trusted the Amazon's word.
"He better be.." Kara muttered.
Thwip... Thwip..! Thwip!
At the sound of something... unusual, Babs perked up as she could hear the repeated 'thwip'ing come from behind them. Whatever, or whoever, was making them were getting closer, as they got louder with each one. 'What's that sou-' She couldn't finish that thought. Just as she turned around to spot the source, her eyes immediately went wide when she noticed it. And upon taking it all in, she squealed as she knew who exactly was heading their way. "OMG! No way!"
Except for Diana, Babs' reaction caused everyone to shriek as they looked to the redhead in a panicked frenzy.
"Ah! Dude! What the hell!" Kara exclaimed.
"Sheesh, girl! You almost gave me a heart attack!" Zee exclaimed next.
"Sssh! Look!" Barbara said as she completely turned around and pointed at the mysterious figure... web swinging? towards them.
Following Babs' point, everyone gasped the instant they noticed the swinging person, gazing in awe as he swung towards them with impressive control.
The only composed one was Diana, as she ceased movement to observe the scene for herself. 'There he is.' Diana smiled, creating some distance between her and the others.
It was then that time briefly slowed down for the amazed girls, as the swinging man suddenly flew over their heads after soaring up over the roof's edge. As he flew, his backside faced down at them, giving them a clear view of the spider symbol on his back. The flow of time resuming, he flipped and landed in the space Diana had made, gracefully landing in a low crouch.
And with jaws dropped and eyes wide, the girls observed as Spider-Man... rose to his feet. (A/N: Imagine Izuku wearing the classic Miles Morales suit, but instead of the bits where red is supposed to be, it's Izuku's signature shade of green. What can I say? I really like Miles' suit. XD It's so simple, yet so dope. Don't worry, they'll be more suits to come. ;))
"Woooah.." The girls simultaneously breathed out after absorbing the details of Izuku's hero suit. Zee, Barbara and Kara whistled at how skin tight the suit was. Honestly, it was crazy how it clenched onto almost every nook and cranny of his lean body. Nevertheless though, they approved. Jess and Karen's reactions were much different as their cheeks sported a light blush, both of them, mainly Karen, unable to stop themselves from admiring the young hero's muscular frame. It's a good thing that there wasn't much pressure on the boy's groin, then they'd really be in for a shock.
'Even though he is slim, his physique is quite impressive.' Diana thought, guilty as well for approving of Izuku's build.
"Hey there, everyone." Izuku greeted, giving the stunned girls a wave. "Sorry I'm late. I would've gotten here sooner, but I was having a little trouble getting my suit on. I warn you, it's weird how sometimes spandex can be kinda difficult to put on." He said shyly, proving his point as he pulled on his suit by the waist, then letting go of it as it squeezed back onto his skin.
'With your suit, we can definitely see that!' The girls collectively thought.
"..Is that you, Izuku?" Jessica asked the next obvious question, her wandering gaze ending on the large white eyes of Izuku's mask.
"Hmm, well I'd hope so, seeing as I'm the world's one and only Spider-Man and all. At least, as far I'm aware." Izuku chuckled as he planted his fists firmly at his waist, standing tall and proudly as he grinned under his mask. He maintained the pose for a moment, forced to break it when Barbara suddenly zipped up right in front of him and closely 'examined' his suit, making him tense up.
( End Song )
"Oh man, oh man, oh man! Such an awesome suit! Even though I've seen pictures of you in it online, I gotta say that it looks soo much sweeter to see it in person! Did you make it yourself, bestie? Huh? Did you, did you?!" Asked the excitable redhead as she got all up in Izuku's face, very much loving the web design the mask had going on as she traced her fingers over them.
"I-I did. Glad you uh... like it." Izuku gulped, unsure if he'd ever get used to Babs' invading his personal space like this.
Thankfully, before Babs could go on to interrogate the poor boy further, she was suddenly yanked away by Kara. The blonde lifted her away with ease by the neck of her hoodie, causing the redhead to flail a bit.
"Sheesh, red. Give the dude some space, will ya? Do that anymore and you just might back him off the roof." Said Kara as she placed a disgruntled Barbara down where she previously stood before returning to her own spot.
'Oh, thank goodness..' Izuku huffed, glad that he was saved from Barbara's 'invasion'.
"Thank you for your assistance, Kara." Diana said, stepping up to Izuku's side.
"Eh, whatev.." Kara shrugged.
Diana steered her attention over to Babs, who just now got her bearings straight. "While I am positive that my co-instructor here appreciates your enthusiasm about his attire, Barbara Gordon," She patted Izuku on the shoulder, causing him to glance at her before nodding somewhat in agreement. "I'm afraid that your questions will have to wait, for it is time to commence with your training. Or have you so easily forgotten about it?"
"Aww~" Barbara pouted. "No, ma'am, I didn't forget. Sorry.." With that, she quickly gave up the will to question her bestie. For the time being anyway.
"I'll make time to answer your questions later, Barbara. I promise." Izuku assured as he crossed his arms. If his mask wasn't in the way, they'd be seeing him smiling.
"I'll be holding you to that." Babs responded.
"As for the rest of you, the same promise applies if you have any questions as well. But, without further ado, let's get down to business." Izuku clapped as his tone got serious, looking to Diana. "You're up, Diana." Giving the Amazon the floor, Izuku stepped back and allowed Diana to take his place, the duo having agreed to instruct their potential team in turns.
"Much appreciated, Spider-Man." Diana responded. "Listen up now, sisters! If we are to be the great team that I believe we can be, we must first become aware of each others skills and abilities. I believe me and Spider-Man have exposed our own powers plenty by now. So, it is now your turn. Jessica? Would you care to start us off?" Diana asked, locking her sights on Jessica.
"M-Me? Oh, um... sure, I guess I can do that." Jessica replied with uncertainty, gulping as she felt all eyes on her. She powered through as when she was ready, she cleared her throat before speaking. "Well, first off, my name is Jessica. Jessica Cruz, but you can call me Jess for short if you'd like. Now, as for my 'powers', I'm a cadet in a... organization of sorts, called the Green Lantern Corp." She mentioned that part while pointing at the symbol in her ring. "And they're a... Oh boy, this is tougher than I thought.." She sighed while rubbing her head. "Okay, to put it simply, I was chosen and given this power ring by these weird aliens a little while back. The Green Lantern Corp, I guess you can say, are sort of like space cops. They patrol these different sectors of the universe and.." Seeing that her crowd was already lost, she gave up on explaining any backstory and went on to reveal her ring's capabilities. "You know what, I won't bore you with the details as the whole thing is all really complicated. Basically, this ring allows me to make pretty much anything." To prove her claim, she stretched out her right hand to make a potted plant with her ring.
Of course, Barbara had to really see if it can truly make anything. "Woah! That. Is. So. Cool! Oo! Oo! Make a pogo stick!"
Jessica did just that.
"Now, a burrito!"
She did that too easily.
"Oh! Let's do a mucho margarita supremo with the works!" Babs requested next with a hungry grin, her requests having progressively made Jessica uncomfortable.
Luckily, Jessica was saved as Diana had ever so delicately steered the brunette's ring hand over to her direction. "You mean to tell me that with this ring of the gods, you may produce any weapon imaginable to best your enemies in combat?" Diana questioned, gazing deep into the ring's core. At least, until Jessica awkwardly pulled away her hand and held it close to her chest.
"Um.. In theory, I could. But, I don't believe in violence, so I wouldn't count on me ever even thinking of making a weapon." Jessica said adamantly.
"Hmm, how admirable. You possess the mindset of a certain type of hero, that much is certain." Diana said as she straightened herself out, smiling as she brought her hands behind her. "Now, as for your hero identity, how shall you be known?"
"Er, Green Lantern? It kinda comes with the ring." As she answered that question, Jessica's ring emitted a flash when she raised it over her head. As for why the flash, the reason was instantly made clear as Jessica now sported a very different appearance.
Wearing a power suit that belonged to those of the Green Lanterns, it was like Izuku's in the way that it squeezed onto every bit of Jessica's skin, really showing off the details of her womanly physique. Her most prominent bodily features would have to be her hips and backside, as they were curved quite nicely despite her mostly slender figure. Not to say her bust wasn't carrying any weight to it as her breasts seemed to be C-Cups at least, looking pretty close to becoming D's. Other than the super suit that outlined her being with a noticable shielding glow, the insignia of the Green Lanterns was marked around Jessica's right eye, and each side of her long hair had a glowing green streak.
'You know, maybe teaming up with cute girls such as these ones wasn't the best idea on my part..' Izuku tried his damnedest not to show just how flustered Jessica's new getup made him, glad he had his mask as he couldn't prevent himself from subtly ogling Jess' body. Like, man! Her clothes really hid all that.
"I see. Very well! Green Lantern, you shall be." Diana acknowledged as she patted Jessica on the shoulder before stepping to Babs. "And you, Batgirl? What do you have to offer our team?"
"Oh! Trust me, I can do all sorts of awesome stuff!" Hyped that it's her time to shine, Barbara crouched down while slipping her bag down onto the roof's floor, unzipping said bag before eagerly digging around to pull out its contents. The first thing she pulled out was her hero costume, followed by some of her bat gadgets. "Yeah, I may not have an alien ring or whatever, but I'm actually really good at solving mysteries, riddles and puzzles and what not. Oo! And I also make some of the coolest bat gadgets. Like this here bat barometer, this glow-in-the-dark bat staff, and these beautiful bat grappling hooks! For when you wanna get yourself out of a jam, or simply know what it's like to soar through the air. Whatever floats your boat! Oh man, I gotta tell you about the time when I got so close to using them! Get this, Batman was up on a rooftop fighting with Professor Pyg this one night, right?" As she went on a tangent about one of her Gotham 'adventures', Barbara was in the middle of getting into her costume; which consisted of a form fitting purple suit with a yellow bat logo on the chest, yellow gloves and boots, a yellow utility belt, a cape, and, to top it all off, a purple bat cowl that let her now revealed waist length hair out into a ponytail. Huh, now who knew her hoodie hid all that hair.
'Yup... This was definitely a bad idea.' Izuku thought awkwardly as he was having trouble not giving his first Metropolis friend the same treatment he gave Jessica, as Barbara seemed quite shapely herself despite her short height. Unfortunately, he had to look away slightly as to halt any... risky reactions. Damn teenage hormones, ruining this for him. As Diana would probably say, Zeus! Please give him the strength to get used to this!
"I see that focus isn't your strong point, we will have to work on that." Diana said as she cut Barbara's story off, not really interested in hearing the details as she moved on to Zee.
"Wha-ha?" Barbara exclaimed, equipping her cowl.
Knowing it's her turn, Zee smirked as she didn't need to be told what to do. Thus, not giving Diana the chance to speak as she got straight to it. "You can call me, the mysterious, the fabulous, glamorous, the awe-inspiring..." Before her big unveiling, Zee pulled out her wand to wave it around herself whimsically, her magic seeping out as she transformed her clothing into that of her magician's uniform. For the big finish, she raised her wand to drop a top hot over her head, doing so wonderfully she might add. "Zatanna!" She finished with a dazzling smile, making a few fireworks burst all around her.
Diana blinked, calmly amazed by Zee's little display. "Impressive. Do you have any other skills we've yet to see?"
While answering that, Zee pulled out a deck of cards to work more of her magic, performing just some of her simple tricks. "Why of course! I can turn a red heart black. Ever seen a jumping jack?" With that last one, she made a jack of diamonds disappear before the Amazon's eyes. "Check behind your ear for me, dear." She chuckled as she stepped back to continue with more tricks.
"By Hera! This sorcery, just what is it?!" Diana gasped upon finding the lost card, dropping it out of shock before looking back up to see Zee pulling a chain of colored clothes out of her top hat, Barbara watching with childish glee. "I believe I have seen enough." Diana firmly declared, causing Zee's performance to come to an abrupt end. "Zee, while you do possess a great deal of style, what you clearly lack is the will to channel your extraordinary abilities into a noble cause. Nay, our noble cause. Now, I apologize in advance for this, but your uniform? I am afraid that it will not suffice. Think of another! Preferably one with a... heroic touch to it." Getting what she needed from Zee, Diana walked off to the next trainee, leaving Zee feeling utterly insulted.
"How 'bout you give capes a try, huh? They're really cool~" Was Barbara's advice as she showed off her cape to the magician, actually getting Zee to consider the idea as she peered at her back in thought.
Next up was Karen, who currently was in the process of... taping on? her hero garbs.
Diana raised a brow at the crudely equipped brunette, wondering why Karen needed to wear such uncomfortable pieces of what is basically scrap metal. Although, she did like the wings. 'Now that I look at it closely, she almost looks like... a bumblebee.' She thought upon closer inspection, humming in intrigue.
"As for you, Karen." Diana called upon stopping in front of the young Beecher, startling her as she nearly dropped the black tape she was putting around her armor. "What can you do? Surely you must do something if you're wearing all this... armor." It hurt her inner warrior to even consider the junk as armor.
"O-Oh, um... Well I can.. Ah!" Once again, Karen almost dropped her tape as Diana's presence put her on edge. "S-Sorry, I'm still sorta working out the kinks here, and uh.." Unable to think of an explanation off the top of her head, Karen gulped as she instead opted to show what she can do, ready to go after applying one more layer of tape. That said, she pressed one of the buttons on her left gauntlet, everyone softly gasping at seeing the already small brunette go even smaller. She shrunk down to the size of a dragonfly at best, hovering a few feet off the ground thanks to her wings. "Awww, nuts! Not again. My wings aren't supposed to be buzzing like that. I thought I fixed that issue.." Karen groaned at the noticeable fault in her suit, her tiny form slumping as she might as well point out the other issues she's experienced thus far. All the while dropping onto Diana's finger when she raised it to her. "I'm also working on rocket launchers, but I can't seem to get them going. They just malfunction every time. I wish I can say those were the only issues, but there's... Ugh, everything about this suit is just so messed up. All I ever wanted was to be noticed by being big and strong. But instead, I'm even more smaller and invisible than before thanks to my lousy excuse for growth tech. Like everything else, it keeps wigging out on me.. *sigh* I don't know, maybe I should just go home and forget all about this hero stuff.." Said a discouraged Karen as she faced away from the Amazon, feeling useless along with her hopelessness.
Everyone frowned, feeling bad for the poor girl as she sounded like she genuinely wanted to do some good.
"Karen.." Diana spoke, smiling softly as she turned her finger enough for Karen to face her again. "Do not say such saddening things about yourself. You may not see it, but you hold within you far more strength than you can possibly imagine. You simply lack the confidence to tap into it, little bumblebee."
Karen smiled back as she was comforted by Diana's words. Although, she's unsure if she liked the title of 'little bumblebee'. "Actually, I'd rather you call me the indestructible, gamma phase, 1000 k-"
"Bumblebee, it is." Not on board for what already sounded like a ridiculous name, Diana stuck with the one she picked out as it sounded much better than... well, whatever Karen came up with. So, with that, she released the tiny trainee before moving onto the last one; Kara.
"Bumblebee fits sooo much better, trust me." Barbara muttered to Karen after she reverted to her normal size.
"And last, but not least, you." Diana said as she approached her earlier blonde opponent. "While I've already experienced your incredible strength first hand, do you have other powers that you've yet to reveal?"
"Hmph, to you I don't, princess." Kara scoffed, looking away from the Amazon in annoyance while crossing her arms. "I'm no hero. So I've got nothing to show, or prove to you. Besides, that gig's for nothing but chumps anyway.." The blonde mumbled.
With a disapproving glare, Diana was not about to give up on Kara so easily as she moved back into her sights by going around her. However, Kara only continued to look away from her, causing the Amazon to do a full circle and end up in the same spot she was previously. "Kara, you could be the greatest hero man has ever known, but I can see that all you simply lack..."
Suddenly, a terrifying feeling washed over Izuku, his spider-sense going off like crazy for a moment. He whipped his head around to spot any sign of danger, only to become confused as he noticed absolutely nothing of the sort. 'What the..'
Little did he know, the one person he was supposed to be working with was actually the cause.
"Is the proper motivation!" Diana finished as she then took advantage of the way Barbara was positioned behind her, swiftly locking and loading the unsuspecting redhead into a javelin throw before promptly tossing her to the sky with no hesitation. What followed was everyone crying in horror and Barbara screaming for her life. Yes, even Izuku was stunned as this wasn't at all part of the plan.
"BARBARA!" Izuku shouted as he sprinted over to the roof's edge, forced to watch in dread as Babs started to make a swift descent to the streets below. Then, without thinking, Izuku jumped off the roof and began web swinging as fast as he can to save his friend. Even though he knew he might not make it in time.. "I'm coming!"
As for the others, Zee, Karen and Jessica were left to pray intensely for the redhead's rescue and safe return. Meanwhile, Diana looked completely composed despite what she had done. As for Kara, well..
POOM! SHEEW!
As a large cloud of dust picked up around the rooftop, Izuku nearly went plummeting to the streets himself as he felt something zoom right past him, hitting him with a strong force of wind that knocked him off balance. Thankfully, he reacted in time and zipped himself to the nearest building, sticking to a window after doing a flip. "What the heck was that?!" He exclaimed as he immediately looked to see what had caused his fall. However, once more, he was rendered bewildered as all of a sudden, Barbara was no where to be seen. Nor the one who had basically brushed him aside like he was nothing. "Wha... Did I miss something?" He asked himself while scratching at his boggled head.
"HEY, IZUKU! UP HEEERE!"
Izuku wasn't left to ponder for too long as he heard that all too familiar chipper voice, gasping as he whipped his head around to look back to the rooftop. Color him extremely glad upon seeing Barbara looking alive and well, the redhead waving down at him while being carried in a now flying Kara's ar-
...Hold up, Kara's flying?!
'Awesommme!' Izuku grinned under his mask upon witnessing Supergirl in all her sexy muscular glory.
Come a moment later though, he found himself flushed when feasting his eyes on Kara's incredible legs, the skirt to her costume being just short enough to almost show everything. From his angle, he may as well be seeing everything. Good for him though for managing to stop himself from looking too much, as Kara would more than likely pound him into the ground for looking too far up. "Gah! No! Bad Izuku! Stop that before you get yourself pulverized!" Izuku gave himself a light slap, looking down before it was too late. 'Hormones will be the death of me, I swear.' He sighed internally, pushing those thoughts to the back of his mind as he then shot a web and moved to return to the girls, dead set on giving Diana a good talking to regarding her latest stunt.
And probably give his bestie a looong hug.
After Izuku jumped off the building to web swing, a blue boomerang shaped metal drone peeked at him from around the corner, watching as the spider-boy returned to his co-instructor and 'students'.
What no one knew however, was that this very machine... had been watching him for quite some time now.
