Chapter IV :

Welcome to U.A.

Sorry for not posting the chapter soon after posting the previous one. I had exams in the last month but now, I'm free.

The bus had finally reached Battle Center C. All the pupils rushed towards the entrance waiting for the door to open so they could start the practical exam. Gohan and Videl were among the people who were sent to this examining site; it seems like fate brought them together. The Saiyan prepared himself to test his powers and enter the world's most famous academy of heroes. He was breathing slowly, trying to focus to the point that he didn't notice an unexpected visitor who came to see him.

Vegeta (calling the boy): "Gohan."

Gohan (surprised): "V-Vegeta? What are you doing here?"

Vegeta: "Nothing. I just wanted to make sure that you and Midoriya are ready."

Gohan (gladly): "Oh, thanks. Well, I am prepared and I'm sure that Izuku is also ready to pass the exam. Wish us luck."

Vegeta: "Luck? A Saiyan does not need stupid luck. The only thing he can trust in battle is his own power. Remember this. And you two better enter the academy, 'cause I train winners to win, and not losers to lose! Understand?"

Gohan: "Y-Yes."

Vegeta (flying away): "Great. Tell me when you get your results."

Gohan: "I will." Everyone stared at the boy in confusion and disbelief. They didn't expect that someone, besides Videl, has a connection with a Pro Hero. Then, a golden-haired teenager with a black lightning-shaped streak on the left side of his hair approached him and asked him in wonder and amazement: "Hey, this guy… who was speaking with you… was he… T-T-The Prince Hero… V-Vegeta…?!"

Gohan: "Yes, it's definitely him."

Videl (surprised): "I had no idea that you know the number #5 hero… Hey, I forgot to ask you about your name."

Gohan: "Oh, right, I'm Son Gohan."

The golden-haired boy: "Well, nice to meet you. By the way, I will introduce myself to you. The name's Denki, Denki Kaminari."

Gohan: "Nice to meet you Denki. Glad I made new friends even before the school year starts."

Denki (with a smile): "Nice to meet you, too. But listen, don't expect that everybody here will be friendly with you 'cause as I can see… Some people don't seem really nice."

Videl: "Yeah, and since I am Hercule's daughter and you have some kind of relationship with one of the top heroes, I don't think that any of them will hold up. They'll do their best to destroy us even though I doubt they can do it."

Gohan: "Thanks for the advice, but don't worry, I dealt with the worst."

Denki: "Oh well, I warned you. Anyway, good luck, you'll need it."

Gohan (with a chuckle): "Thanks."

Then, the voice of Present Mic was heard from the loudspeakers saying: "Okay, start! What's wrong? There are no countdowns in real fights! Run, run! The die has been cast, you know! The exam has already begun!"

Gohan (excited): "Alright, let's start it!" And so, everyone rushed to the battlefield with their Quirks, each one looking for faux villains to gain points not caring about the others. Gohan flew into the air and threw multiple Ki blasts everywhere avoiding the innocents around him. With that, he gained 85 villain points. The examinees were amazed and shocked at the same time from the strength of the young Saiyan: he scored tens of points in less than 10 seconds!

Pupil A: "I-Impossible!"

Pupil B: "How did he do that?!"

Pupil C: "What type of Quirks does he have?"

Pupil D: "we must take caution from this guy!"

Videl (in mind): "Well, there's someone worth beating in this test. I won't be surprised if he becomes my rival in the future."

Gohan (shouting loudly): "Videl, behind you!"

Videl: "Huh?" When the girl turned, she saw the Three-Point robot behind her attacking at full speed. She didn't expect one of them to attack from behind, but luckily, before she could react, Gohan dashed towards it with full speed, destroying it into pieces easily. "Wow. You can fly, throw lasers from your hands and move at full speed? I am really curious about your Quirk."

Gohan: "Sorry, I don't have time. Bye." And then he ran looking for other robots to defeat.

Videl (Sighing): "Sigh, fine. I should now focus on my own points."

After a minute or two, Gohan scored 162 villain points, surpassing even All Might's score. It wasn't such a hard thing for someone like him. Then he saw his new friend Kaminari battling some of the robots using electricity. He landed near him and said to him: "So, your Quirk is electrification, huh?"

Denki (with a smile): "Yup, that's right. I can use it to make the faux villains explore. Anyway, you really have an amazing Quirk, man. Would you mind telling me about it?"

Gohan (panicked): "Uhh, well…"

Videl (approaching the two boys): "Yeah, Gohan, you didn't tell what your Quirk is."

Gohan (panicked): "Well, it's called Ki… It allows me to use my body's energy to do multiple things, you know: flying, increasing strength, launching laser blasts, etc."

Videl: "I've never heard of such a Quirk like this before. Did you get it by a Quirk Marriage or something?"

Gohan (panicked): "What? No! Listen, guys, aren't you supposed to go and find villains to score some points for yourselves? Time is passing, you know."

Videl: "Nuh, I now have about 67 points, it should be more than enough."

Kaminari: "Me, too. I scored 49 villain points. I think I can now take a break."

Gohan: "Oh, I see."

?: "You there!" When the three turned, they saw an angry mob glaring at them with anger. Seems like the Saiyan teen has already got new enemies from now. "You, the boy with black hair and the daughter of Hercule, you both almost destroyed everything!"

Gohan: "What?"

Videl: "What are you people talking about? We didn't destroy anything at all and we didn't hurt any of you."

Pupil 1: "We're talking about the robots, you left only one or two of them!"

Pupil 2: "Just because you two are so strong it doesn't mean to not give us a chance to enter the U.A. Do you want to destroy our dreams or what?!"

Kaminari: "Hey buddy, calm down. It's U.A. we're talking about. We should not hold up ourselves, we should bring everything we have."

Pupil 1: "Shut up, electricity boy! Don't think we'll let you go! As I can see, you too have destroyed lots of faux villains."

Kaminari: "What? That's not true!"

Pupil 3: "Don't lie to us, we heard you saying that you scored forty-nine points."

Denki: "Well... you see…" Then, a young man with messy, indigo-colored hair that flares out in large tufts around his head approached the angry pupils. He called them calmly: "You guys." They all stared at him and responded: "What do you want too?" "Did you just wake up from sleeping?" "Go away before we crush you to pieces!" But suddenly, their facial expressions somehow changed. They didn't seem angry like before, instead, they seemed as if they were… brainwashed. The boy ordered them all to leave and immediately, they all obeyed him without thinking. Then, he was going to leave until Gohan called him and said: "Thank you, for helping us." But he just walked away saying: "You're welcome, but don't expect us to be friends. I only did that because it's what a hero would do."

Finally, the time was over. All the students went back home after being healed by Recovery Girl. Gohan used Instant Transmission to get to his friend quickly. When he found him, he seemed depressed and really sad. He approached him and asked him: "Hey, buddy. So, how was the test?"

Izuku (with sadness): "..."

Gohan (worried): "Izuku?"

Izuku (depressed): "I… I don't want to talk about it. Let's just say… I didn't do well."

Gohan: "Hey, listen, whatever happens, you must know that you died your best. Even if you won't enter U.A. this will not be an obstacle between you and being the future number one hero. Right?"

Izuku (depressed): "Thanks, Gohan, but… I want to be alone now." And so, he walked away with his face down. The demi-Saiyan knew that something really bad happened in the exam, but he preferred to not bother his partner about it at the current time.

One week later…

Gohan returned home after a tour around the mountains with Nimbus. Once he entered the house, he greeted his mother and baby brother Goten and went towards his room. Then his mom stopped him and said: "Wait, Gohan! You received a very important letter."

Gohan: "Huh? From who?"

Chi Chi (gladly): "From the U.A.! It's your exam results!"

Gohan (happily): "Really?! Did it come?!"

Goten (innocently): "Yes. I wanted to open it and see it but mom didn't let me do that."

Chi-Chi: "Of course you can't, Goten! You cannot read others' mails!"

Gohan: "It's fine, mom. We can all see it together now." As soon as he finished, he opened the envelope and with that, a holographic message appeared showing the number one hero All Might on the screen.

Goten (joyfully): "Mom, look! It's All Might."

Gohan (surprised): "What? What is All Might doing on the screen?! Isn't this from U.A.?"

Then, All Might started talking on the screen, greeting the viewers on his way, saying: "I am here as a projection! I had to do some paperwork that took some time, so I couldn't contact you, Son. I'm sorry. Actually, I came to this town to work at U.A." This information surprised the whole family. Goten screamed joyfully: "All Might is gonna be here in town!" As for Chi-Chi, she couldn't believe that there's a possibility that her son (if he entered U.A., and that's something for sure) will learn the heroic basics from the professional himself. The message continued: "You may not be surprised if I told you that you passed the exam successfully! Congratulations, young Gohan!"

Chi Chi (joyfully): "Did you hear that, Gohan?! You did it! You did enter U.A.!"

Gohan (happily): "Yes, I made it."

All Might: "But before I continue, you need to know how your friend, Young Midoriya, has done."

Goten: "Midoriya? Isn't this your friend from the city, big brother?"

Gohan (answering): "Yes, we were training together in the last ten months for the entrance exam. I'm sure he passed it, too."

All Might: "Well, you may be shocked if you know that he has got 0 villain points." At this moment, the demi-Saiyan stood up from the shock. How could his partner fail the test?! After all these months of hard work, it's all gone for nothing? Is this why he quitted the battle center depressed? Anyway, the Symbol of Peace continued: "Seems like he wasn't ready to battle real villains. He may have passed the written exam, but that won't be enough."

Gohan (in mind): "No… Izuku… this can't be… H-How…?"

All Might: "But, in the last minute of the text, Young Midoriya saw a girl, a girl who was in trouble. The huge zero-point robot was approaching her and almost smashed her under his wheels. At that moment, his fear disappeared, and rushed towards it, and used what he had of power to destroy him, breaking almost every single bone in his body. He almost killed himself just to save that girl. How can a hero course reject people who save others and do the right thing? Call that lip service? This is the job that requires risking one's life to put that lip service into practice! Rescue points! And they're given by a panel of judges! It's the other basic ability we at U.A. look at. Izuku Midoriya, sixty points! It's more than enough to enter U.A. As for you, Young Gohan, you didn't just get to first place, you even broke my own record, the highest one! 192 villain points, plus 26 rescue points; you've got a total of 218 points!" Then, the pro hero's figure turned to face the young Saiyan with a smile across his face, giving him a hand saying proudly: "Come, Young Gohan. This is your hero academia!" And with that, the message ended. Chi Chi was on the verge of tears of happiness. Goten gladly hugged his older brother gently, congratulating him for his success. As for the hybrid Earthling, he was full of joy. Not just because he entered the U.A. but because he won't enter it alone. He's gonna join the hero courses with his best friend. Together, they'll work to become the world's greatest heroes. Together, they'll save their home planet from any threat. Together, they'll be the new generation of heroes. But, his smile was mixed with some sadness. Why? Because his father isn't here to see him. He wished he was here to celebrate with him his victory. He wished that he could've helped him and Izuku during their training. He wished… he wished he could just… talk to him, even for a few seconds. Sadly, not all dreams can be true. Anyway, he hid his emotions of sadness and tried his best to forget the tragedy that destroyed him six years ago. He also didn't want to worry his mom and brother. Now, he's officially a U.A. student and he must be happy about that.

At the U.A.

In a dark room with a huge score panel, the judges of the exam were discussing together the new students' scores. They saw a huge potential in the new generation of heroes, but what caught their attention was the first rank student: the one who had surpassed All Might himself.

Judge 1: "Unbelievable! How could someone beat the number one hero's score!"

Judge 2: "What type of Quirks does he have?!"

Judge 3: "Well, I'm not really surprised. Sooner or later, there must be someone who'll surpass the Symbol of Peace and take over his place."

Judge 1: "I know, but… I'm still amazed that he scored almost twice Toshinori's score! I think he's the next number #1 hero."

Judge 3: "Maybe, but the other pupils also cannot be ignored. The second-place boy also has a powerful Quirk."

Judge 2: "Yeah, I can't believe he got a total of 77 points with no rescue points."

Judge 3 (explaining): "The faux villains acquire their targets and draw near them. In the second half, as others were slowing down, he used his flashy Quirk to keep bringing them close and then counterattacking. It's the result of his toughness."

Judge 2: "In contrast, there's the 10th place student with zero villain points."

Judge 3 (showing some appreciation): "There have been other examinees who took on the large robot in the past, but it's been a while since I last saw someone blow it away."

Judge 1: "But to suffer such a serious injury from his own attack… It's like he's a young child whose Quirk just manifested." While the referees' committee completed their discussion about U.A. 's new students and their powers and Quirks, one of the academy's teachers was leaning against the wall near them observing the score panel while listening carefully to their conversation. He was thinking of the new generation of heroes that he's going to prepare this year. He wasn't planning to show any mercy to his pupils. For him, the next three years are gonna be training to survive:

Either you succeed and become a hero or… bye-bye U.A.

That night, at Takoba Municipal Beach Park…

Three of the world's greatest heroes were standing next to each other watching the sea in a calm night waiting to meet their pupils. Who would've known that those guys may one day become close friends despite their differences? It's been usual for them to get out at this time of night and meet together at the same beach each Sunday. No one of them wanted to break the silence of the moment, however, it was broken by a certain green-haired teenager running toward them with his best friend while calling his masters' names: "Vegeta! Piccolo! All Might!"

Piccolo (in mind): "Baka!"

Toshinori (spouting blood/panicked): "Who's that?!"

Unlucky for them, a couple was observing the beauty of the sea not so far from them and were able to hear Midoriya calling the name of the number one hero. They turned immediately towards them and looked for the Symbol of Peace.

The man: "All Might?"

The woman: "No way! Where?"

Gohan (panicked/trying to solve this problem): "S-Sorry guys! We-We had the wrong person (chuckling nervously)."

The man (disappointed): "Aw, what?"

The woman (disappointed as well): "I was hoping to see him…"

A few seconds later

Izuku (apologizing/ashamed of himself): "I'm really really sorry! I tried my best to fight one of the robots but I couldn't. It was the first time I ever fought an opponent."

Vegeta: "No problem, at least you destroyed the huge one at the last minute. However, it was my fault as well. I should've got some of these robots and programmed them to attack you before the exam. That way you could've got second place easily."

Gohan (surprised): "Wait, you were able to get for us some of the faux villains?"

Vegeta: "Of course I could've. Those robots and almost every technological thing at the academy are built by Capsule Corp. If you want, Bulma still has some of the robots at her store."

Izuku: "Wait, so you knew everything about the test?! Why didn't you say something?!"

Piccolo: "Because that's called cheating."

Izuku (ashamed): "Yes. Sorry."

Toshinori: "Anyway, congrats on getting accepted, both of you."

Izuku (joyfully/high fiving his mentor): "Th-Th-Thank you very much!"

Gohan (smiling to his friend): "I'm also proud of you, Izuku. I think you're the only person in the world who passed the practical exam with only rescue points."

Izuku (joyfully): "Thanks, Gohan. And to make all of you more proud of me, I've finally learned how to sense energy!"

Piccolo: "You did?"

Izuku (with a nervous smile): "Yup, and I can tell that all of you are currently suppressing your powers a lot, too."

Toshinori: "Just so you know, guys, I didn't tell the school about my connection to you two."

Gohan (confused): "Huh? Why? Aren't you gonna teach us anyway at U.A.? Or do you want it to be a secret as well?"

Toshinori (explaining): "Not exactly. If I did tell them you would've entered U.A. even if you failed the exam or didn't even do it because you're friends with the top hero. And you're the type that would think that's cheating, right? I wasn't one of the judges."

Izuku (happily): "Th-Thank you for your concern! But I was surprised to find out that you were a teacher at U.A. So that's why you came here, huh? I mean, your agency is in Roppongi in Minato, Tokyo at-"

Vegeta (cutting him/putting a hand on his mouth): "Stop that! If we wanted any information, we would have asked first."

All Might (whispering to Gohan): "I don't mean to be insulting, but don't you think that sometimes he acts like a talking encyclopedia?"

Gohan: "Yes, that's our Izuku."

Izuku: "Did you guys say something?"

Panicked, the top hero lied to his successor in order to escape trouble and said: "Aaa… You see… Young Gohan asked me why I didn't tell any of you that... I'll become a teacher at U.A.!"

Izuku (questioning): "Oh, that's right. Why didn't you tell us, All Might?"

Toshinori (answering): "I couldn't tell anyone before the school announced it. I just happened to be offered a job from U.A. when I was searching for a successor."

Izuku (surprised/in mind): "Wait, does this mean…?"

Piccolo: "I see. You were originally planning to choose one of the students at the academy, right?"

Toshinori (nodding his head upside-down): "Exactly."

Izuku (a little disappointed and ashamed of himself): "All Might… Over half of my body broke with one kick and one punch of One For All. I… I can't control it at all."

Toshinori (turning to face the boy): "I'm not surprised. It's like if you asked a person who suddenly grew a tail to do a trick, they wouldn't even be able to control it."

Izuku (sighing): "Huh. Wait a minute (then he realized something) did you know that will happen?!"

Toshinori (nervously): "Well, there wasn't any time… But it turned out all right. It turned out 'All Might'."

Piccolo: "At least you learned to control your Ki, otherwise, your whole body would have been destroyed."

Izuku (shocked): "What?! All of my body?! Please, Mr. Piccolo, tell me you're joking?!"

Piccolo (with a serious look): "And since when did I tell jokes, Midoriya? It's the truth whether you believe it or not."

Gohan (asking): "Well, how long will it take him to control One For All properly?"

Toshinori (answering): "Well, it's just similar to your Super Saiyan form."

Vegeta (confused): "Super Saiyan? What do you mean?"

Toshinori: "As you guys told me, at first you were only able of using your transformation at its full power, but then you mastered it and now you're able to use the SSJ at any percentage you want. One For All has the same basics. Currently, Young Midoriya is either at a hundred percent or zero. But once he'll control it, he'll be able to adjust to what his body can handle."

Izuku (with amazement): "Control?!" The pro hero took two cans off the ground to give the boy an example while explaining: "The more you train a vessel, the more you'll be able to move the power freely. Like this." When he finished the explanation, he turned into his huge, muscular body and smashed the two bottles easily, and that was a mistake he's gonna pay for because… the couple was still near them and this time, they did see All Might so there was no way to deny. The only thing they could do now. They all held onto the teenage Saiyan and ordered him to use Instant Transmission immediately, and with that, they all disappeared.

The man (confused): "What the? Where did they go?"

On April

In the Midoriyas' apartment, the green-haired hero was preparing himself for today. Finally, the day has come. The day when he'll enter the U.A. as a student. Today is gonna be his first step into the heroes' world. He thought that this was impossible. Everyone thought it was impossible, but it really happened: Izuku Midoriya is now officially a pupil in the world's greatest academy of heroes. A dream has finally come true with the help of his hero, his mentors, and most importantly, his friend, Gohan, the only person who believed in him and gave everything to help him.

The 15-year old teenager was preparing himself, picking up his stuff while his mom was making sure he didn't forget anything.

Inko: "Izuku, do you have a tissue?"

Izuku (responding): "Yeah."

Inko (worried): "And your handkerchief? What about your handkerchief? Your hanky?"

Izuku (annoyed): "I have it! I'm going to be late." The boy was ready to leave until his mother stopped him, he thought she's going to ask about something else but he was surprised and happy at the same time that she calls him cool and wishes him good luck before he goes. When he stood outside, he started running down the stairs in fear that he may be late, then, he had an idea. Maybe it's time to put his flying ability to the test. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, remembered all the things his mentors taught him about Ki, and then, he jumped from the building. He opened his eyes slowly only to see himself standing in the air. He really did it, he was glad that he finally learned to fly but quickly, his smile turned into a scream 'cause he lost his focus and control again and fell down to the ground. Izuku cried loudly believing that he's certainly dead right now, instead, he felt himself falling into the arms of someone, someone he knew very well.

Gohan (joking): "Hey, Izuku. Nice day to fly, isn't it?" After a few seconds, Midoriya burst into tears on the shoulders of the 16-year old Saiyan while hugging him and yelling: "GOHAN! Thank God you are here! I thought I was going to die!" The hybrid human hugged back his friend and calmed him down saying: "It's O.K. Izuku, it's O.K. You shouldn't have tried to fly alone without someone's supervision. Good thing I came to your house in time. I wanted to offer you to go to U.A. with me on Nimbus." Midoriya stopped crying and looked down only to see the magical yellow cloud that Gohan used to transport and sometimes gave him a ride on it. Without thinking, he joyfully accepted the offer and with that, the two continued their way together to the heroes' academy sharing with each other their feelings about being heroes and their opinions of how the first day will be. Minutes went as fast as seconds and the two males finally reached the entrance of the academy and then they went searching for Class 1-A. It wasn't so easy in such a big place like U.A. but they finally found it.

Gohan (surprised): "The door's huge! It's over 18 feet high!"

Izuku (explaining): "I think it's for accessibility, they put in mind all the possible quirks. (worried) I hope we're not in the same class as the scary people."

Gohan: "Scary people? Do you mean Katsuki and the one with glasses? Don't worry, Izuku. As long as I am with you, nobody will dare put a hand on you. Plus, I doubt that we all are in the same class." But once he opened the door, these hopes were immediately dashed when they found them both arguing inside.

The teenager with glasses (angrily): "Don't put your feet on the desk!"

Katsuki (sarcastically): "Huh?"

The teenager with glasses (angrily): "Don't you think that's rude to the U.A. upperclassmen and the people who made the desk?"

Katsuki (sarcastically): "Nope. What junior high did you go to, you side character? The top two?"

The teenager with glasses (respectfully): "I attended Somei Private Academy. My name is Tenya Iida."

Katsuki (sarcastically): "Somei? So you're a damn elite, huh? Looks like I'll have fun crushing you."

Iida (terrified): " 'Crushing'? That's cruel. Do you truly aim to be a hero?" Suddenly, they stopped their argument once they and the rest of the class noticed the presence of Earth's protector and the future Symbol of Peace. The demi-Saiyan was able to recognize two of his new classmates: Videl and Kaminari. It was a surprise that the fate of God was to them to be all together. Then, Iida went to the direction of Izuku and Gohan and greeted them: "Good morning. I am from Somei Private Academy. My name is-"

Izuku (cutting): "We heard! (shyly) I'm Midoriya. Nice to meet you, Iida."

Gohan (with a smile): "And I'm Gohan. Nice to meet you, too. I hope we'll be good classmates."

Iida (properly): "Gohan, it's really a pleasure to me to be a classmate with the one who surpassed All Might's score, that's something even the number #2 hero Endeavor wasn't able to. As for you, Midoriya, you released there was something more to that practical exam, didn't you? I had no idea… I misjudged you! I hate to admit it, but you two are better than me."

Izuku: "Sorry. I didn't actually release anything."

Katsuki (angrily): "There you are!" Enraged, the ash-blond-haired teenager jumped from his seat to Gohan's position and glared at him with furious eyes screaming in his face loudly: "Explain to me right now, Spiky Hair, how you were able to surpass MY SCORE?! Did you cheat or what?!"

Gohan (with annoyance): "Seriously, Bakugo, should we start fighting from the first day at school."

Videl (angrily): "Hey, you, don't talk with him like that. I was with him in the same battle area and he didn't cheat at all. He won by using his own Quirk!"

Kaminari: "Yeah, man, you weren't there to see him destroying almost every single robot over there."

Katsuki (mad): "Alright, let's say that you really scored all those points using Ki or whatever that Quirk's name was, you can never make me believe that Deku also passed the exam without a Quirk!"

Izuku (terrified): "Uhh, K-Kacchan, I-I can explain, you see…"

Ochaco: "The plain-looking one!" When the green-haired male turned around, he met face-to-face with the nice girl that wanted to give him some of her points to return him the favor of saving her. Just talking with her was enough to make Midoriya blush from shyness, but soon his smile was gonna and his bashfulness turned into fear from what he saw behind the girl. It was a worn-out man in a yellow sleeping bag sprawled across the floor. The four students were frozen by fear from him and then, their fear turned into shock when they knew that this guy is actually their homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. He didn't seem like he was ready to get out of bed at all, let alone teaching. But what surprised them more is that their teacher Aizawa has given them all blue gym uniforms and announced that today they'll have a Quirk assessment test. The brown-haired female, Ochaco, asked him with confusion: "What about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?"

Shota (responding lazily): "If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for such leisurely events. U.A. 's selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are. That's also how the teachers run their classes. (turning to the students) You kids have been doing these since junior high, too, right? (then he picked up his mobile showing them the tests they're gonna do today) Physical fitness tests where you weren't allowed to use your Quirks. (turning to the hybrid Saiyan) Gohan, you finished at the top of the practical exam, right?"

Gohan (answering): "Y-Yes, sir."

Aizawa: "In junior high, what was your best result for the softball throw?"

Gohan: "About 71 meters."

Aizawa: "Then, try doing it with your Quirk."

The oldest son of Goku stood in the circle preparing himself to throw the ball. This brought him the memory of the time when he played baseball for the first time with his friends. It was two years ago. It was the 4th anniversary of his victory against Cell as well as the death of his father. The Z warriors were gathered together on this occasion to remember together the good times they spent with Goku before he… went to the Other World. Yamcha suggested they all play baseball and taught them all the rules of the game. He taught the Young Saiyan how to hold a baseball bat, how to throw a ball, how to catch it… It was an unforgettable memory for him, but it would've been better if his father was there.

Anyway, the teacher of class 1-A wasn't ready to wait so long so he woke Gohan from his imagination and informed him that there is no time to waste. The boy heard some of his new classmates chuckling from behind, but he didn't care. He took a breath, and then, threw the ball with all his might into outer space. The screen on Aizawa's phone showed that the ball reached the infinity level. All the students were speechless, yet excited.

Kaminari (in amazement): "Infinity?! I knew he was so strong but… not to this point." Then, the pupils one by one stepped forward wanting to test their own Quirks. Using it sounded like a game for them and a great chance to use their powers freely. It looked 'fun'. However, Shota didn't have the same opinion. The reason why they came here was to learn how to be heroes and give all that they have, not to play games like in ordinary schools. Maybe he should be harsh on them from the first day.

Aizawa: "It looks fun, huh? You have three years to become a hero. Will you have an attitude like that the whole time? (with a scary and evil smile) All right. Whoever comes in last place in all eight tests will be judged to have no potential and will be punished with expulsion." Hearing the threat of being expelled, everyone gasped in shock and fear of being the unlucky person. Midoriya was the most worried of them all: in the current time, he cannot control One For All properly. He can only use it at 0% or at 100% which will lead him to destroy his body again like in the entrance exam. Uraraka couldn't accept this fate, she declared this by saying loudly: "But it's the first day of school! No, even if it wasn't the first day of school, this is too unfair!" And the answer came to her quickly: "Natural disasters, big accidents, and selfish villains. Calamities whose time or place can't be predicted. Japan is covered with unfairness. Heroes are the ones who reverse those situations. If you wanted to go talk with your friends at Mickey D's after school, too bad. Test 1: 50-meter dash

The first two were Tenya Iida (Quirk: Engine) and Tsuyu Asui (Quirk: Frog). The two stood in separate lines, and with the sign, they rushed towards the finish line with all their speed. The tall teenager got in the first place (3.04 seconds) while the girl got in second place (5.58 seconds).

The second race was between Uraraka (Quirk: Zero Gravity) and Mashiro Ojiro (Quirk: Tail) and it ended with the male in the first place (5.49 seconds) and the girl in second (7.15 seconds). The third one was finished with Videl (Quirk: Megaton Punch. A Quirk she inherited from her father, and it allows her to increase her fist's power twice to five times) in second place (4.76 seconds) and of course Gohan in the first place (0.00 seconds). Everybody was shocked by his speed. At first, they thought that he used some kind of instant transmission but Aizawa reminded them that if he did the robot couldn't have recorded his score. The truth was that the Saiyan cut the distance in 0.00000185 seconds but the machine wasn't strong enough to record this level. Anyway, these races continued until finally, it was the turn of Bakugo, who reached the finish line in 4.13 seconds, and Midoriya who finished the race in 6.88 seconds without using his Quirk in fear of facing the same fate as he did five weeks ago. But if he cannot control it, he may be the expelled student of today.

Test 2: Grip strength

It ended with Gohan on top when the bar on his hand was smashed into pieces, with Mezo Shoji in second place with a reading of 540 kilograms, while Izuku got only a reading of fifty-six.

Test 3: Standing long jump

Again, Gohan was in the first place while Midoriya was in last place.

Test 4: Repeated side steps

1st place: Son Gohan

2nd place: Minoru Mineta

22nd place: Izuku Midoriya

Test 4: Ball throw

When activating her Quirk on the ball, Ochaco Uraraka was able to rival Gohan in this test because the ball didn't stop at all and reached the infinity level as well. Kastuki threw it at a distance of 705.2 meters. Finally, it's Midoriya's turn. Given his past results, almost everyone doubted that he may make a change here without a miracle. You could tell from the shakenness of his body and the sweat dripping from his head that he's now in a state of fear, nervousness, and lack of self-confidence. Before he went to the circle, his best friend Gohan excused his homeroom teacher to have a talk for a second with his partner alone, which he accepted. When they were far from the others, the Saiyan reassured his Earthling classmate saying: "Izuku, calm down and listen to me. I know how nervous you are now, but believe me, there's nothing to fear. Aizawa-sensei may seem a scary and serious guy, but I doubt he will expel one of us on the first day of school."

Midoriya (with fear): "Gohan, this… this is U.A. we're talking about. It's the greatest hero school in the whole world. They will only accept the best of us, and if I was in last place, he won't hesitate for a moment to kick me out. And from the way he said it, he seemed really serious to me." Gohan was able to see frightness in Izuku's eyes. He knew exactly what he was feeling: after training hard for ten months and then succeeding in the entrance exam and entering U.A., he'll leave it from the first day. He didn't want this to happen, not after all what they have done together. He wanted him to pass the test... even by cheating. He created a small ball of Ki in his hands and gave it to Izuku and said: "Izuku, listen. I know this is bad, but sadly, we don't have a way except to cheat. Take this ball of energy and throw it instead of the softball. I'll control it from my place to move as far as possible."

Izuku: "Wait, you can?!"

Gohan: "Yes, it's one of the multiple features of Ki controlling. Now, do as I said."

Izuku: "..."

Gohan: "Izuku?" The oldest male was surprised when he refused his offer and gave him back the energy saying: "I'm sorry, Gohan, but I cannot accept your offer. I may succeed but… I'll be just a cheater. If I do this, I'll win by cheating, and so, someone else with a great Quirk will be expelled. In that case, I'm the one who deserves that fate. If I'll pass the rest of the tests, I'll do it with my own Quirk, One For All." Hearing his words, the hybrid Saiyan smiled at his 'current' classmate, and together, the two went back to the group where Shota was waiting for their return. Gohan joined the rest of the students watching Midoriya from afar. After a few seconds of silence, the future Symbol of Peace used his Quirk, or most correctly, he tried to use it but he couldn't. He was in total shock. How could this have happened? He was sure that he activated One For All, so why didn't it work? Little did he know that it was canceled. When he turned, Midoriya was more shocked to see his teacher, Aizawa, glaring at him with his hair standing upwards and his eyes glowing in a bright red color.

Aizawa: "That entrance exam was definitely not rational enough. Even a kid like you was accepted."

Izuku (in shock): "You erased my Quirk? Those goggles… I see! You can erase other people's Quirks with your Quirk just by looking at them. The Erasure Hero: Eraser Head!" While he was able to recognize him, his other classmates couldn't. Kaminari approached Gohan and asked him: "Gohan, have you ever heard of him." Which the boy responded by no. But then, he noticed the surprise and shock on the face of the daughter of Hercule. Maybe she knows something about him.

Gohan: "Videl, do you know him?"

Videl: "I… I remember that my dad told me about him… He said that he's not known to the public… because he believes media attention hinders his work… That's why none of you know him…"

Gohan: "I see."

Aizawa (talking to Midoriya): "From what I can tell, you can't control your Quirk, can you? Do you intend to become incapacitated again and have someone save you?"

Izuku (responding): "Th-That's not my intention-" But he was cut when his teacher used his capture weapon on him and turned the teenager closer to him and completed: "Whatever your intention, I'm saying that's what those around you will be forced to do. In the past, there was an oppressively passionate hero who saved over a thousand people by himself and created a legend. Even if you have the same reckless valor, you'll just be decked and turn into a useless doll after saving one person. Izuku Midoriya. With your power, you can't become a hero." As he finished, Eraser Head liberated the young man and deactivated his Quirk, leading to the return of Izuku's Quirk. The green-haired male had no idea of what to do now. Should he use One For All 100% and destroy his body or not use it at all and get in last place? He knew Aizawa was right. He cannot become a hero if he'll be totally destroyed each time he saves someone. He must find another way.

Finally, he had an idea. He threw the ball using One For All 100% but, instead of activating it on his whole body, he only used it on his finger. With that, he threw it to a distance of 705.3 meters. Aizawa was proud of this, but what made him change his point of view in the kid, is the fact that he still was able to move. With that, he saw hope in him, but…

Katsuki (enraged): "DEKU!"
