AN:
Thanks to everyone for writing lovely and thoughtful comments after my last update. I just want you to all know that this might have one or two chapters left and then it'll be done with. I am now working a full time job and have far less time to write because Im tired all of the time! lol. I do have some other ideas for possibly a multichapter of a part 2 to this story down the track of what their relationship is like in 10 years time, but that will have to be on the backburner for a little bit.
I am going to be writing a langson one shot over the next week or so as a prologue to the latest episode... so look out for that.
Thank you OAM for your kind hearted comments and everyone else who comments on this every time I post! I always draw a lot of inspiration for the things that you say and it keeps me wanting to update :) I hope you enjoy the beginning of the wedding :)

Olivia went to put her keys down but Trevor stopped her. He pressed his finger to his lips and crept in to the living room and found that the TV was off and no one was in there. "Let's go upstairs and if we are quiet enough, they'll think we're still out!" he whispered.
She gave him a funny look but followed him upstairs. They walked as silently as possible past the guest rooms. Olivia could hear the TV going in Erika's room. The door was ajar and Trevor could see her laying flat on her side, very obviously sleeping.
They checked on the kids and his Mom who was asleep with Teddy's hammock beside the bed. Olivia went to go in to get Teddy but Trevor stopped her. "He's okay there, do you really want to get cock-blocked?" he hissed.
Olivia stared at him for a moment. It wouldn't hurt, she thought, if he woke up and Joan tended to him. It felt irresponsible and reckless but the way Trevor looked at her helped make the decision.
She followed him right to the opposite end of the hall and locked the door behind them.
"Trev…" he turned around to face her. She looked uncertain.
"What's up?" he asked, realising that something was off with her.
"We probably need to get Teddy from your Mom's room," she said with a sigh, her guilt getting the best of her.
Frustrated, Trevor drew in a deep breath. "Olivia, Teddy is asleep, he's fine and Mom is perfectly capable of looking after him."
"While we're having sex?" she asked, "it seems irresponsible and I feel like I've dumped my kid on her because I wanna have my fun."
"Okay, and so what?" he asked, tossing his hands in the air as she sat on the edge of the bed realising that he was annoyed. "you know, I am so happy with my children, I love them more than I can ever convey, but I also love my wife and sometimes I want to make her realise that her entire identity is not being a mother, but it's also being a desirable, sexy woman who deserves to be seen as her own person too."
He was frustrated with her sudden change of heart of how she had talked up what was gonna happen when they got home. He could tell she was unconvinced. "Fine," he said, relenting, "I'll go and get Teddy and put him in here with us and we can just…. go to sleep until he wakes up."
He turned his back a little irritated.
"Trev…" her voice trailed and he could tell from her tone that she was upset with him and possibly even emotional. He knew if he turned back he would weaken and his annoyance would be replaced with concern. "Don't be mad…" she added quietly.
He couldn't help it, he turned back and saw her wiping her eye. "I hate it when you're mad at me," she murmured.
"I'm not mad," he dropped his tone, "not with you, just…" he took a few steps over to her and sat beside her. "I just miss you," he said slowly, picking up her hand. "I just want to spend a night with you where I don't have to compete with anything or anyone for your attention — I know that sounds so fucking selfish of me…"
"It's not," she sniffed. "It's not selfish, it's a perfectly normal feeling," she replied "And I'm sorry, I just have trouble letting go of the belief that everyone will think I'm a bad Mom."
"But you're not," he told her meaningfully, "you're not a bad Mom, Liv, you are a fucking amazing Mom and you're allowed to let another person take the reins sometimes and you're allowed to take time for you, a lot of people do that and some people might suggest that it's healthy to have time to yourself so you can recharge and continue doing your Mom job with all of the same enthusiasm."
She nodded. She didn't disagree with him. "I know, I know… I need to work on it, I just feel really stupid right now."
"Don't feel stupid, sweetie," he replied. "But I don't want you to feel guilty either." He kissed her temple and rested his head against hers, putting an arm around her. He gave her a gentle squeeze.
"Can I tell you one more stupid thing?" she asked softly.
"Of course," he replied.
"I'm so nervous about having sex with you," she almost laughed at her admission.
"What?!" he exclaimed, "why? You were so enthusiastic before…" he managed a chuckle.
"I don't know, it's been so long and I'm worried it won't be the same or you won't find me as attractive as you did before… I don't know; my brain is full of irrationality right now."
He laughed lightly. "Olivia Benson," he started, getting up, standing over her, "give me your hand…"
She rose an eyebrow and held out a hand to him. He helped her up and grabbed for the hem of her T-shirt dress and pulled it right up over her head in one go before he made a show of throwing it aside. He let his eyes sweep over her curves and gave her a small smirk at how naked she was save for her white Converse and her underwear.
"Baby, you are hot, I don't know what you're talking about, that Mommy glow makes you just … I don't know, I'm sure it's chemical in my brain, but something flicked a switch since you've had Teddy, and even before that — I find you just as attractive but I'm trying my best to give you space when really… it's really fucking hard to keep my hands to myself sometimes…"
Olivia managed a little laugh, her cheeks reddening. "Really?"
He nodded.
"Yeah… but I'm very aware that you're exhausted and you haven't had the capacity for anything but being a Mom, family time and sleeping, I understand - we both had to adjust." He smiled and leaned over her and let their lips meet, slowly closing his eyes, keeping his hands by his sides and to himself. He felt her leaning in to to his kiss, but he pulled himself away before she could get too eager.
"I do want you…" she told him bluntly, her wide brown eyes looking in to his. "I really, really want you."
"You better take a seat then," Trevor replied, motioning to the bed edge behind her.
He dropped down, kneeling on one leg before her. He slipped his hand beneath her knee and lifted her leg, grazing his fingertips down the back of her calf and rested her foot his knee. He slowly pulled at one of her laces and took his time undoing it, loosening it until he was able to pop it off her foot. He made a show of tossing it away just like her dress, "won't be needing this…" he did the same for her other shoe. "now you can't run," he joked. He pressed his lips on the inside of her calf all the way up to her knee, lifting her other leg to do the same.
Olivia looked serious, watching him with a small smile. He lifted himself back up to his feet.
He slipped his t-shirt over his head and undressed himself down to his jocks and scooped Olivia up, moving her up until she was in the middle of their bed. "There… that's better," he smiled, his body hovering over hers.
"Trev, thanks for making me feel better…" her voice trailed off.
"I aim to make you feel good," he smiled sincerely, caressing her hair. "And, you really have no right to be nervous with me, I'm gonna be your husband soon…"
She grinned at that. "No, I guess I'm just…worried about it not being the same. It feels like that weird time between when I last had sex before I missed you — except instead of being a few … years … it's months, but it's felt like years."
He smiled, "Wellllll…." he chuckled, "shut the fuck up, Liv…. and we'll close the gap on that awful few months of not being able to have sex."
They both laughed. "Sorry…"
"No, I'm kidding… I'll just go slow and you tell me what you want," he told her with a nonplussed shrug.
"I love you, you're my best part of everything," she murmured.
"You're mine," he replied, smoothing her hair, caressing her face, his fingers tracing over the light smattering of freckles that he just loved so much.
She lifted her head to capture a kiss from his thin pink lips that were slightly upturned in to a smirk as his eyes fell closed the second that they both made contact.
"Mmmm," he moaned quietly against her mouth that sent a spark through her just beneath the skin that peaked to a warmth in her lower stomach. She parted her lips and welcomed his tongue, inviting it by grazing hers briefly against his.
He kissed her hungrily and with passion and a little urgency. She loved the feel of his hands in the back of her hair, gently taking a handful of it, careful not to pull on her, but wanting her to feel his eagerness.
Olivia wrapped her arms around him, enjoying the feel of his bare skin beneath her warm hands. She loved his backside and she knew he loved it when she grabbed at his flesh with the same urgency that he touched her with. He arched in to her, his hips colliding with hers. She felt his erection pressing against her and she knew that they wouldn't be at it for hours, not with the way she deeply craved him.
She did feel nervous, that was true, but she wasn't concerned with how he felt about her, more that she didn't want it to be disappointing, that something may have changed within her as other mothers had described after giving birth. It was at least one good part about having the c-section, she thought.
He slid his hands down beneath her back to undo her bra. He peeled it off her slowly, lifting himself so that he could pay attention to her body, catching the glow of her skin in the dim light. Despite her insecurities, she still looked amazing, he thought.
"I love you," he told her, "I love this body!" He kissed her collarbone on either side, letting his tongue glide over her skin, enjoying the saltiness of her. He blew on her skin where his tongue had been and watched her eyes clamp shut.
"I love you too," she replied softly.
He kissed his way down between the valley of her breasts, feeling the soft skin them against his face. Olivia ran her fingers through his thick hair enjoying the feel of his tongue and lips all over her. She felt her heart racing, totally missing the feel of him in her intimate spaces — it had been far too long and she hadn't realised just how wonderful it felt.
The relief spread warmly through her body as his hands found their way around her curves and in return, she grazed her fingertips along the strong, muscular plains of his shoulders and down to his back.
She let out a little gasp as his gentle touch curled around her plump breasts. She hissed under her breath as his mouth laid warmly over the mound of skin. But, as good as it felt with his mouth over her, she knew he couldn't spend too much attention there or else things would grow unsexy pretty quickly.
"You can't," she told him quickly with a little chuckle, "stop," she added.
Trevor lifted his head. "What?" he wondered if he'd done something wrong.
"Unless you want me to lactate, you need to stop," her laughter was light and he was able to laugh too as it dawned on him that his mouth and hands would be too much.
"Sorry," he replied, "I'm sure I can find other places to put my mouth."
"I'm sure you can…" she replied, feeling her skin tingling as he set his pace, allowing his hands to explore the rest of her body. Trevor let his his hand settle for a moment upon her hip as he worked on her neck, kissing her softly, covering her skin with his mouth, tasting her flesh with his tongue massaging the spot that drove her crazy.
He found his way beneath her, sliding his hand to her ass, grabbing a handful of her, pulling her against his erection. She moaned softly beneath him, arching her back, trying to get a better feel for him.
He kissed his way to her mouth, breathless and urgent and wanting so badly to feel her heat and get used to being inside her all over again. "That feels so good," she hummed.
"Yeah?" he asked, between kisses. "just wait til I go down on you," he promised, "I am going to bury my face between your legs and make you see stars again," he told her frankly.
"Mmmm," she chuckled, "do it…" she egged him on, "hurry up…"
He laughed at her urgency too. It had been so long for the both of them. He kissed his way down between her breasts again, leaving a wet trail down her stomach. He loved the feel of her hands in his hair and her legs opening wider to allow him all the space that he needed to reach her most intimate spot.
He kissed the inside of her thighs and could feel the heat emanating from her. He could tell that the anticipation was wearing thin. "Oh, fuck…" her voice came from the back of her throat, her words almost a moan.
Trevor planted a few open mouthed kisses up on the inside of her legs, teasingly, leaving a wet trail before he met at the juncture of her thighs. He planted a slow, soft kiss at her opening.
She moaned again and her hips bucked at the sensation. He planted another kiss and ran his tongue along her, slowly and torturously — back and forth until she called his name; begging for him without commanding anything from him.
Trevor planted another kiss, pressing a little harder, followed by another and another kiss until finally she got what she wanted; he buried his tongue within her folds and tasted her sweetness.
He lifted his face for a moment, "deep breaths, Liv," he coached her with a little laugh, he could feel her tensing and writhing beneath him, struggling to not gasp each time his warm tongue hit all of her nerve endings. He used his hand to allow himself better access to her.
He concentrated on her clitoris, burying his tongue deeply within her to find it. He swirled his tongue around the spot, brushing over it at random, sending a jolt of sensation through her body. He could feel her pelvis rolling against his face, trying to get him to move deeper. He steadied her hips with a hand and brushed thumb over her the gathering of nerves at her centre.
Trevor slid two fingers inside of her, curling them forward and moved in and out of her, readying her for him. He moved slowly at first, wanting her to get used to him as he concentrated his mouth where his thumb had been, licking and sucking at her until he felt as though she couldn't take it anymore.
Olivia had lost all ability to think - her mind was blank, all she could feel was the euphoric and dizzying feeling of his tongue and his fingers inside of her. Her back was arched and her whole body tingled. She knew she was close as she began to tremble.
Just when Trevor expected it, she spoke up, "y-you- need to fuck me…" she told him bluntly.
Without a word, he began to make his way up from between her legs, laying kisses over her belly while his fingers continued to move in and out of her for a few moments longer.
"You want me inside of you?" he asked with a little smile. Olivia could see how wet his mouth was, his skin glistened and she couldn't help but fall in love with him just a little bit more for how eager he was to please her.
She nodded, breathless.
He didn't have to be asked twice. He pushed down his jocks and guided himself inside of her slowly, pushing until her face contorted slightly with discomfort at first. She repositioned herself and sighed with relief. He continued all of the way in.
"Okay?" he asked.
She grinned at him, "Yeah, perfect…"
He pushed her hair out of her face and grinned back. He moved back and forth inside of her; slowly at first, allowing her to get used to him but it wasn't long before she began to eagerly meet his thrusts by rocking her hips in time with his.
Trevor knew the second that his throbbing erection sank in to her warmth that he didn't have much in the tank — it had been too long and he wanted her far too much. He could feel every little bit of her snuggly around him as he thrusted within her walls; it felt too good.
"I'm so close," she announced to him and he had never been more glad to hear the words.
"Me too," he chuckled, he held her hips and moved a little quicker. Her hips met his, slamming against him, burying himself as deep as he could until their pelvises crushed together.
Olivia was breathless. Without warning, she felt Trevor filling her up and spilling out of her. "I'm so sorry," he apologised.
"Its okay," she replied, and it was okay. He reached down between them and paid attention to her, wanting her to come too. All it took was his fingers circling her clitoris for a few moments until she felt an orgasm rippling through her — a welcomed relief, something she had been thinking about since well before her child was born.
Trevor rolled off of her and continued caressing her body until she calmed down.
He kissed her lips softly. "I love you…" he told her.
"I love you too…" she replied, her brain still feeling a little dizzy. She was still catching her breath.
"I'm sorry I came too quickly," he looked a little troubled by it.
Olivia rolled over, letting her body half cover his. "Don't be sorry, are you crazy?" she laughed giddily. "We haven't had sex in …. who knows how long, its a wonder we both didn't explode the second we looked at one another," she joked.
Trevor managed a laugh.
"OK, I thought of something," he told her, reaching up to caress her chestnut locks as she rested her arms on his chest, clasping her hands together, staring in to his eyes with a bit of a smile.
"What?"
"We need to organise some kind of protection," he suggested, "I don't imagine we want to have another baby any time soon," he told her, "unless…"
"No thank you," Olivia laughed. "I don't think we'll be having any more children," she told him truthfully.
Trevor chuckled. "That kinda sucks, I wish we were ten years younger, I always wanted to have, like, a really huge family."
Olivia smiled, enjoying the feeling of his fingers through her hair. "Maybe, but… three children is a perfect sized family, don't you think?" she wondered, "anymore kids and we'd struggle to give them all their one-on-one attention."
"That's a good point." Trevor replied, "anyway, we need to organise some type of protection… whatever you think is the best thing to do, you let me know…. I don't know about this kind of stuff."
She laughed. "You should get the snip," she smirked, instantly seeing Trevor wince.
"If you think that's the right thing to do…" his voice trailed off.
She laughed again, "I'm kidding… we'll just go through our options and talk about it," she told him, "but we should figure it out soon because I plan on having a lot of sex with you on our honeymoon."
He lifted his head and kissed her lips, "me too."

"I told Olivia that I want to book a couple of things for she and I to do together as a married couple — and I want to surprise her in to doing something that I would never in a million years choose to do because it's both so far out of our comfort zone."
"Then I have an idea," Erika smiled at her brother and then to at their Mom. "You should let me choose something for you both and I'll book it."
"No way," Trevor laughed, "you'll end up sending us on a tandem bungie jump."
Erika laughed, "No, that's what I'll probably insist Sonny and I do together…" she chuckled, "it'll be something outside of both your comfort zones but not enough to make you hunt me down afterwards."
They laughed.
"Well okay, but I trust you, Erika," he looked at his mother, "don't let her go crazy, Mom…"
Joan smiled and put her hand upon Erika's. "She will be responsible."
"Better be," he remarked, "okay so I have the date, I have everyone's tickets — I'm gonna leave outfits or whatever Olivia wants to do to her, so if you guys want to help her with that… and whatever else she needs."
"Are you excited?" Erika asked him.
Trevor couldn't hide his grin, "Yeah, a week in Hawaii with my family where I get to marry the love of my life?!" he asked, "I am very excited."
"We're excited too," Joan told him.
Sonny and Kat waited for a few moments until a door swung open and a tall, dark haired man answered. "Hi there, Mr Wilkins, right?"
The man gave them a surprised look, "Yes?" he asked, "can I help you?"
"Sure, Detective Sonny Carisi and this is my partner, Detective Kat Tamin," he showed his badge. "I was just wondering if you might have a moment to discuss a recent assault of a young boy at your son's school."
"Are you kidding me?" he rolled his eyes, "is this about that Benson kid?"
"Yes," Kat said with a nod, "I'm not sure if you're aware, but Noah Benson sustained a serious injury and we are here to get some details. Is your son home?" Kat asked.
"They're kids!" he snapped.
"Yes, unfortunately in these situations, where bullying and assault is involved, your child can see himself charged with assault and battery if the parents want to take it further."
Henry Wilkins sighed, "So what, the Captain of the NYPD sex crimes has sent you here to bully us?"
Sonny could feel his defences for both Olivia and Noah begin to rise. "Actually, Mr. Wilkins, we can charge your son with or without parent's say so — so, I'll ask again, is your son at home? We're not messing around."
The father stepped aside and motioned for them to come inside; irritated with the situation.
"What's going on?" Lisa, his wife asked.
"NYPD are here to talk to Connor about that kid at his school."
"Is this serious?" she asked, wiping her hands on a dish towel, "they're just kids?"
"Noah Benson suffered multiple fractures in his arm because of your child as well as suffering from escalating harassment and bullying which has seen his personal effects ruined, items stolen and much more - so yes, this is serious."
"Is Olivia pressing charges?" she wondered.
"She hasn't made a decision at this stage. We're just here to have a chat to Connor, to hear his side of the story and to have a little discussion with him about the gravity of what his behaviour could cause."
"You're absolutely not going to scare our child!" Lisa snapped.
"Would you rather your son continue this behaviour until he is charged with assault? Because Olivia Benson and her parter are two very fair people who have a wonderful amount of compassion for other parents when their children act out, but we cannot and will not allow this to happen to another child," Sonny told her firmly.
"And as explained to your husband, we don't need Captain Benson's say-so to charge your child, we are here as a formality, but you'll probably want to cooperate," Kat added, hating that they weren't taking what their son did seriously, nor did they seem particularly sorry.
"Are you threatening us?" Henry stepped in front of his wife.
"I'm just informing you of our procedures and the ramification of your son's actions." Carisi replied.
"Go and get Connor," Henry nodded to the hallway to his wife. She shook her head in disbelief and disappeared down the hall.
A little blond boy appeared beside his mother. Kat asked if there was somewhere that they could all sit down. It seemed in a way cruel to be discussing charges and assault with a child but since the school had declined to act, Garland had given them the go-ahead to talk to the child themselves.
Carisi was gentle, introducing himself and showed the little boy his badge.
"Connor, today my friend Kat and I would like to talk to you about Noah Benson," he told him. He leaned right over the table, reaching the little boy's level. "From what I've been told you and Noah used to be good friends, is that right?"
Connor looked alarmed but nodded. "Am I in trouble?" he asked, looking from his father and mother who had flanked either side of him.
"Well, Connor, you were pretty cruel to Noah at school, you hurt him a few times, didn't you?" Carisi pressed.
Connor looked at his hands.
"Can you tell us why you and your friends were treating Noah so unkindly?" Kat asked him.
"Wait, how do we know my son wasn't provoked?" Henry Wilkins demanded to know, glaring from one cop to the other.
"Your son wasn't sent home from school repeatedly with broken belongings, wasn't pushed off chairs and sent home with bumps and bruises and Mr. Wilkins, may I remind you that your son's arm is not in plaster — let us do our job."
He glowered at the police but he knew they had a point.
"Connor," Sonny pressed. "Tell us why all of this began with Noah? Why did you stop being friends?"
The little boy thought for a moment, "Noah said he had a Daddy and I knew it was a lie cos my Mommy told me and he kept lying and we had a fight."
"That's my fault…" Lisa said softly, "I didn't realise that Trevor was Noah's biological father."
Carisi was a little surprised but he wasn't about to correct her. "I didn't realise that I was making it worse."
"That's not the issue here, the issue is not whether or not Noah Benson has a biological father, the issue is your son's actions directly resulted in another little boy's serious injuries." He spoke directly to Connor, "when Noah was in the play ground, you waited for him to have his turn on the monkey bars and you pulled him off by the leg, didn't you?"
Connor shook his head.
"Listen," Kat began, "it's important that you tell us the truth, we already know what happened, but we'd like to hear it from you."
"Tell the police officer's the truth, son," his father prompted him.
"Noah is a jerk," he muttered, "he didn't like playing the games I wanted to play and he stopped being my friend after we had a fight and when I wanted to play with him he told me to leave him alone."
"So why didn't you just leave him alone?" Kat asked,
"Because he made me mad. He didn't want to be my friend."
"Connor, I am sure Mom and Dad have had conversations to you about being kind and treating people as you would like to be treated, haven't they?" Carisi asked the small glum-looking boy.
He nodded.
"You took a book that belonged to Noah and played keep-away and then when it was your turn, you ripped all of the pages out and left it in the dirt after Noah asked you and a couple of other kids if you wanted to read it with him, didn't you?"
"What!?" Lisa exclaimed, "Connor, that better not be true!" She looked to the boy's father and then back to Sonny and Kat. "We didn't know about that! The school should have told us."
Carisi nodded with acknowledgement, "And another time you took Noah's hat that was a special gift from his father and you destroyed it, didn't you?"
Finally the boy began to cry but nodded.
"When Noah was on the monkey bars, you pulled his leg while he was swinging and you knew he might fall and he did, you didn't even ask for help when you realised he was hurt, you and your friends laughed until another child from another class called a teacher."
Connor clutched on to his mother who grimaced with upset and irritation with her son. "Connor, how could you do this?" she asked, suddenly realising the gravity, "you told me it was an accident!" she exclaimed. "Is what Detective Carisi telling me true?"
Slowly the little boy nodded.
"We are so sorry," Henry said, "we just thought it was a stupid playground war that the kids would figure out for themselves…"
Carisi shook his head, "Captain Benson and her partner have been trying to resolve this situation for months and I would say that the school is also liable given their reluctance to even consult or contact either set of parents."
"I wish Olivia had of called me…" Lisa murmured.
"We can't change what's happened and at this point Captain Benson and her parter will probably decline to press charges but we are here as a courtesy, we don't want to see Connor in any type of trouble like this again because assault on a minor is a serious charge." Kat explained.
"Do you hear that, Connor?" his Dad told him firmly, "Detective Carisi and Detective Kat are here to tell you that your behaviour needs to stop."
Kat glanced at the child, "Connor, I need you to listen to me very carefully," she began.
He dared to look back at her, "Noah Benson got seriously hurt because of your behaviour. Destroying belongings, hurting him, asking other children to hurt him too — that is very serious to the police, do you understand?"
He nodded.
"If you hurt another child at school or anywhere in the future, the police may have to take you in to the precinct and if someone else gets hurt like Noah again, you will find yourself in very serious trouble."
"Do I have to go to jail?" he asked sniffing.
"No, you don't have to go to jail," Carisi replied, "but if you continue to harm other people you may find yourself heading there, so I need you to be on your best behaviour at school and you'll need to be kind to your class-mates even if they don't like you or even if you don't like them. I will be checking in with Mom and Dad and your teachers to make sure I don't have to come and visit you again like this."
"Thanks…" Henry murmured, looking a little overwhelmed by the revelation of their son's ongoing bullying.
"Thank you," Carisi nodded. Both he and Kat pushed their chairs back to get up.
"How is Noah?" Lisa asked, "is he okay?"
"He's okay but he is being homeschooled currently because of how far-reaching this situation went and I believe he is starting a new school after the summer," Carisi replied.
"Honestly," Lisa said softly, "I didn't know it got this bad, are you sure my son began all of this?"
"Yes," Kat replied, "we've spoken extensively with the school and also some of the children involved and this all began with Connor… please keep a close eye on his behaviour at school, we don't want to have it escalating."
"He's a good boy, really."
"Look," Carisi began, as she followed them out, "no one is saying your child is a monster, even Olivia and Trevor have been somewhat understanding and they think it's silly for them to take it further, but the fact of the matter is that this could have happened to a child who's parents weren't as understanding and the result could have been worse. We will be checking back with you guys and with the school."
"Thanks Detectives," she nodded.
/
"Are you guys so excited about going to hang out with Grandma and Uncle Sonny and Auntie Ez for the week?" Trevor asked the two older children as they wheeled their own tiny versions of suitcases down the hall.
"Yes!" they both exclaimed. Eloise in particular was excited, Noah was a little tired.
"You are both coming in with Grandma tonight," Joan told them, "and tomorrow night you're gonna stay with your uncle and aunt."
"Yeahhh! Grandma can I bring my own big-girl suitcase in to your room with you?" Elly asked.
"Yes of course darling, that's your suitcase that Mommy and Daddy helped you pack, you can bring that with you whichever room you stay in."
Olivia grinned at the excitement of her little girl having her very own personal suitcase which was probably full of toys more than much else. Everyone was in good spirits and both Olivia and Trevor were excited to have a full night of sleep without interruptions of children.
"I can't believe we're in Hawaii," Erika remarked, "if it wasn't so late, I would be demanding a swim in the water, the temperature is great here, tell me why do we live in New York?"
"Because if you lived here you'd never get anything done," Trevor replied with a laugh as his sister and his Mom and brother-in-law to be traveled behind him. He paused behind a door, "okay this is us…" he told them, "we can take the kids and calm them down a bit before bed and bring them across in about 40 minutes or so, is that okay?"
"Are you sure? I don't mind getting them ready for bed…"
"No, its fine, little miss is excited, Noah is tired and Teddy needs to be fed and changed," he nodded at their three month old in Olivia's sling.
"Okay…" Joan agreed.
"Come give Auntie Ez a big cuddle!" she demanded of Noah and Elly. She squatted down on to her haunches and kissed and cuddled both of them and allowed Sonny to have a minute with them.
"Tomorrow, can we swim in the pool with you?" Noah asked Sonny. "Daddy promised there was a pool."
"I promise tomorrow Ez and I will take you both to the pool and if Daddy and Mommy wanna join they can too…" Sonny promised them.
Trevor opened the door to the hotel suite and waited for the kids to say goodnight to everyone.
"Goodnight guys, see you in the morning," Olivia and Trevor waved and closed the door behind them.
"Guys! Freeze!" Trevor called out to the two children. They both stopped in their tracks and turned to him. "I know this is really exciting, but I'd love it if you could be calm, use your inside voices and walk instead of running."
He glanced at Olivia, "they're not going to calm down are they?" he asked softly.
"Not for a little bit, we might need a bath for Elly and a shower for Noah to get them a bit calmer, but give them five to explore the room."
/
Olivia got changed from the flight and yawned, she was a little bit jet lagged. "Come on, honey, it's time to pop out of the shower," she told Noah, "it's getting late."
Trevor had his hands full answering all of Eloise's questions about the wedding and their activities while trying to get her pyjamas on. Olivia waited to hear the shower taps to turn off and grabbed a towel for her son. "Come on…" she held out the towel for him.
"I can do it, Mom," he said as if he was irate by her trying to help him.
"Okay, well make it snappy, I've left your underwear on the sink and I've got your pajamas out of your suitcase."
She left him to it and waited for him to come out. "At this rate I'm going to end up asleep before the kids," Olivia joked.
"Don't say those awful words…" he kidded with a smile.
When Noah emerged Olivia helped him with his pyjamas and managed to settle him down beside her while she fed Teddy. He cuddled up to her and she enjoyed the warmth of her son while Trevor read a couple of books to Eloise to settle her and finally agreed to let them watch a Disney show.
Olivia knew they'd both be asleep within minutes and ended up waking up half an hour later with Teddy, Noah, Elly and Trevor all asleep. She reached over and picked up her phone and texted Joan, "all four of them are out like a light, they can just sleep with us tonight, have a good night sleep, love you! See you in the morning."
She got up to put Teddy in to the make-shift cot that Trevor had set up as the first order of business in the hotel room.
She tucked him in and adjusted the air. She turned everything off and read the message response from Joan. "Message me when you wake up in the morning and I'll come and take them to breakfast so you and Trevor can have a sleep-in. Xxx"
Just as Olivia was slinking down beneath the covers, Trevor woke up. "Liv?" he whispered in to the darkness. "Are you awake?"
"Yeah babe, everyone is asleep so let's just… go to sleep, I texted your Mom to let her know…"
"Okay," he agreed with a little regret. He'd hoped for their first night in Hawaii to be made up of thin robes on the balcony enjoying some wine and an ocean breeze. He knew there was time for that though. Still, he couldn't deny how much he loved having his family together, cozy and cuddly with no tears or tantrums. He reached over the two kids and grabbed for Olivia's hand and took it.
"Love you," he murmured as he drifted back off to sleep.
/
"Why don't you just snuggle in, sweetie… close your eyes, just for a little longer," Trevor muttered, trying to get Eloise to sleep again. He closed his eyes again but could hear her yawn. There was some quiet before he felt her hand on his cheek.
"Daddy, but I waked up!" she whispered loudly.
"Woke up," he corrected her, "you woke up." He opened his eyes and stared in to his little girl's and couldn't help but to smile. "Can you just close your eyes again and pretend to sleep for Daddy?" he asked with a little chuckle. He knew there was no use, she was awake and wouldn't be going back to sleep.
"No Daddy, I don't want to go back to sleep," she replied.
Trevor sighed and looked over at his other two loves asleep beside him. He couldn't help but to smile. Olivia was facing him looking at peace with an arm around Noah, tucked beneath him. He was looking forward to family time and of course time alone with Olivia.
"Okay, okay… do you think you can manage to keep still for a little bit longer so Mommy and Noah can sleep a little more?" he asked.
Eloise grinned and shook her head, "No, Daddy! I want to put my bathers on!" she told him.
Trevor laughed, "Not yet, honey, I know you're excited and you've been so patient, but just a little longer, okay?"
She sighed dramatically. Trevor reached for the TV remote and turned on the Disney channel for her quietly so she could watch her morning cartoons.
He got up and checked on Teddy who was sleeping soundly; he hadn't heard him wake up through the night but knew that Olivia had obviously been awake with him, there was a cloth and the pump on the nightstand.
"What time is it?" he heard Olivia's sleepy voice from behind him. He turned and made his way back to her side of the bed and leaned over and kissed her temple. "You don't want to know," he chuckled as Noah stirred.
"Why can't both of our kids enjoy sleeping in?" she wanted to know, but she was smiling.
Noah stirred beside her as she sat up. "Good morning babe," she greeted Elly, leaning over her son to kiss Eloise's forehead.
"Mommy, can I put my bathing suit on?" she asked.
Olivia laughed, "Not right this second, just watch TV for a little while longer while Daddy and Mommy have some coffee and then we'll go see Grandma and everyone for breakfast and we can decide what activities to do."
"Mmmm coffee…" Trevor remarked, going to the little hotel kitchenette to turn the jug on and prepare two mugs.
/
"Are you guys okay here?" Trevor asked, waiting for Olivia and the kids and the rest of his family to settle at the breakfast buffet.
"Yeah?" Olivia looked up, "why?"
"Because Sonny and I have to go and do something but we'll be right back."
Olivia gave him a smile and glanced at Sonny. "What are you guys doing?"
"Nothing," Trevor insisted with a little sly smile. He leaned over and kissed Olivia's forehead. "See you in about 15 minutes."
"Ookaaaay!" she waved. Sonny waved at them and he followed behind Trevor. "What are they up to?" Olivia asked Erika and Joan.
"It's a little surprise," Erika replied, "don't worry, you'll find out very soon." She turned to the kids, "what do you guys think about the beach today?"
"YEAH!" they both exclaimed, "Will Mommy and Daddy come?" Noah asked looking at Olivia.
"Yes honey, Mommy would love to go to the beach, we are gonna have such a fun day!" she told them.
"Ooooh can we build sand castles?" Elly asked, "I want to make a big sand castle!"
"We can build sand castles!" Olivia smiled at her.
"I can stay back and look after Teddy if you like," Joan suggested.
"No, Mom!" Erika exclaimed, "this is your holiday too, we can all care for Teddy in shifts," she replied before Olivia could.
"Trevor wants to take him to the beach but we'll just see how it goes heat-wise and Ez is right, this is your holiday too, you should relax as much as the rest of us plan to." She shrugged, "If it gets too hot for Teddy or he is too unsettled Trevor or I can bring him back and I don't necessarily want the kids in the sun all day anyway."
"Okay," Joan replied, "but I am not much of a beach person."
"That's okay, you can just come and sit with us and relax under an umbrella with a book or something," Olivia replied, "and maybe later we can go to the pool and have a drink at the bar," she glanced at Erika, "well, some of us can," she gave her a small smile.
"I don't care," Erika grinned, "I want this more than alcohol," she patted her little belly.
/
"Where are we going?" Olivia asked as Trevor grabbed for her hand. They passed the hallway to their suite to the very end of the hall to a set of three lifts.
"Its a surprise…" he smiled at her as he pressed the button to go up. He squeezed her hand and Olivia felt a little bit of excitement. Trevor's surprises were always the best.
They got in to the empty lift and watched the doors closed. Trevor took a step toward her, kissing her lips, backing her in to the wall. She chuckled, feeling his warm mouth on top of hers. He put his hands on the wall on either side of her and she enjoyed his presence over her. She felt his tongue probing at her mouth.
The elevator dinged just as she pressed back in to him and they came face-to-face with an older couple. Olivia quickly stood up straight and Trevor dropped his arms from around her, smirking, trying hard not to laugh as the couple glared at them with the unmistakable look of judgement.
He was almost certain that he heard the white-haired lady cluck her tongue as she made her way stilted, to the buttons, pressing the 10th floor.
Olivia looked to the ground but hid a smile too as Trevor's arm slid around her waist.
The awkward silence followed them for two more floors until the couple got off and the doors closed.
"Now where were we…" Trevor laughed, pushing her back up against the wall gently. Olivia pressed her hands upon his chest and shook her head, grinning, "not a chance, that was so embarrassing, they looked at us like we were hormonal teenagers!"
"I feel like one," he laughed.
"Where are you taking me?" she wanted to know as they finally got to the top floor. "Are you showing me the view from the roof?"
"Something like that…" he smiled, "come on…"
There was a difference immediately between the hallway at the top of the building than the one at the 5th level where they had stayed. He pulled her along by the hand until they reached a door.
"What's this?" she rose an eyebrow at him as he pulled his wallet from his back pocket. He took a swipe key and swiped the door's lock, smirking at her. He opened the door and gestured for her to take a step inside.
"Fuck!" she exclaimed with laughter. "This is our room?" she asked turning back to him.
"It's our honeymoon suite," he grinned at her. He loved how excited she got over fancy hotel rooms. Her mouth was hanging open as she looked around the ocean view suite. The view of Oahu spread out in front of them with it's crystal clear tropical water.
"It's so beautiful," she exclaimed, "did you and Sonny bring all of our stuff?" she wondered.
"Yeah, the room wasn't available til today, but I thought it would be nice to have something a bit more special for our wedding week…"
He made his way to her and wrapped his arms around her waist at the balcony. "I love seeing you smile…" he murmured, kissing her temple as they both overlooked the ocean.
"I love you," she replied, "I really can't wait to be your wife…" she remarked, "one more sleep…."
"One more sleep…" he repeated.
She turned to him and stood on her tip-toes to reach his lips. "Thanks for doing this, this is a beautiful surprise…"
"My pleasure…"
He let go of her and watched her walk around the room, exploring the bathroom and the closet space and the fact that their things had already been moved to the room.
"Did Sonny take the kids stuff?" she asked, whirling around.
"Yeah, they're going to get them ready for the beach and I thought we could go down too if that's what you want."
"Yeah," she smiled, "I thought it might be nice to have a family day on the beach. If Teddy gets too hot one of us can come back with him…"
He nodded in agreement. "That sounds good,"
She turned back to him and smiled, "thank you…" she said again, "this is such a beautiful room, I can't wait to have a night to ourselves, but… I have to say it was nice to cuddle with my family."
Trevor grinned at her, "I'm glad you like the room, I can't wait to sit on the balcony tonight with you and have a glass of wine."
"Oh yeah," she grinned back, "now you're talking…"
"Okay, why don't you get ready for the beach and I'll find my shorts…" he suggested.
"Okay," she agreed.
/
"Do you want to go collect your tongue?" Erika asked her brother, "I think you left it back at your suite…"
He turned to her, raising an eyebrow, "What?"
He noticed Carisi smirking, looking away. "You have not stopped staring at Liv this whole time you've been sitting here…"
He rolled his eyes and smiled, "Leave me alone and mind your business." He turned his focus back to Teddy who was wearing the smallest swimming suit that they could find. Trevor bounced him gently against his chest as he watched Olivia with the kids on the wet sand collecting shells and scooping sand in to buckets to make a sand castle.
He felt content to see how happy the three of them were. Olivia was wearing an all-in-one bathing suit that she filled out in the chest area a little too well and was conscious about it, but he didn't mind the view at all.
"Trev, why don't you let me take Teddy so you can go and hang out with them?" Erika suggested kindly.
He smiled at her, "Thanks…" he passed over his son and adjusted his tiny little hat on his head.
He made his way down toward the shore with the kids and Olivia. Olivia gave him smile. "Daddy, we are making a big hole and a sand castle!" Noah told Trevor as he got to his knees beside them.
"Wow! What are you gonna put in that hole?" he wondered.
"We are gonna put TEDDY in it!" Eloise excitedly exploded.
"We definitely are not putting Teddy in this sand hole," Olivia laughed.
"Aww, Daddy you could get in the big hole!" Elly suggested.
"Nooooo!" Noah replied, "no one is going in the sand hole, silly!" he told Eloise, "its to stop the bad guys from getting in to the castle!"
"Oh," Elly replied. Trevor lifted his eyes and smiled at Olivia over the top of the children. "Daddy, can I go in the water now? Mommy told me I had to wait for you!"
"You don't want to build the castle?" he asked her.
"Later," she replied, "I want to go to the water."
"Me too!" Noah exclaimed, "can we, Mommy?" he asked Olivia.
"Sure, if Daddy says so…" Olivia replied.
"Of course we can go in the water, that's why we're at the beach." Trevor replied. He got up from his knees and waited for the kids to do the same. He took Eloise's hand. "You hold hands with Noah," he directed her. "Mom can grab Noah's hand."
The four them held hands and walked in to the surf, the waves crashing against their feet eliciting a squeal of delight from Eloise who Trevor realised had never actually been to the beach before.
He picked her up quickly realising that she was fearful but excited. He grabbed Noah's hand and moved in closer to Liv. "Is that better?" he asked his daughter.
She nodded with a smile, pushing her sandy hair out of her face from the ocean breeze.
"I love you guys!" Trevor exclaimed, "I am so happy we are all on this holiday!" he and Olivia exchanged grins. He knew she was excited and happy to be there with him as they walked further in to the surf.
"I love you too, Dad," Olivia replied, "do you guys love Daddy as well?" she asked the kids.
They both nodded, smiling, excited.
Trevor noticed Noah jumping back when the waves hit his knees, a little scared. "come here, kiddo…" he encouraged Noah, equating down a little to pick him up too. With both kids on his arm, Olivia moved in closer, turned on by her man holding up both of their children.
"I might go sit up on the beach with Teddy until you and I can have some time to ourselves, you look like you have things handled here…"
Trevor grinned at Olivia, "yeah, okay sweetheart,"
He took the kids in to the water while Olivia sat up under their beach shade, taking their son from Erika.
/
"You look so happy…" Erika remarked to Olivia, holding her son close to her while watching Trevor and the kids in the water. He chased after them, the three laughing crazily.
"I am so happy," Olivia replied, smiling at her sister-in-law, "because tomorrow night I'll have a husband, a father for my boy, I'll be a mother to my little girl, I'll have a sister and a mother-in-law … it's all just so wonderful and exciting to start this next part of my life and I absolutely love the man that I am about to marry."
Erika grinned and rubbed her small, swollen belly. "I am happy too."
Olivia took her hand across from the other day bed where her sister-in-law was and gave it a squeeze. "I can't wait for your baby either, I can't wait to smother him or her in cuddles and kisses and help out the way you helped me, it's so exciting."
Erika grinned. She nodded to her mother and Carisi chatting and laughing. "How cute is Sonny? And how cute is my Mom! I am loving how much she loves him and how fun it is getting to actually know her properly."
"I'm happy for you," Olivia murmured with a smile, "you deserve that relationship with your Mom and I hope you treasure it with everything you have."
"You inspired me to put in the work too, Liv, so thank you…" Ez replied.
Olivia said nothing and felt satisfied and content. She kissed Teddy's forehead and was grateful for his calmness and his ability to feed happily while she enjoyed time on the beach.
She sighed and leaned back in to the day bed, covering her baby over with a muslin cloth so that the sun didn't shine directly on him. "I am kind of a little jet lagged," she announced, "but I think I want to have a nice big swim and an afternoon nap…"
"Why don't you do that," Erika agreed, "have a swim, go back to the hotel and we'll take the kids and Teddy and you can have a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep."
"Really?" Olivia smiled, getting a little better at accepting help.
"Yeah of course… this is your wedding trip and you deserve the sleep, you'll need it, tomorrow is going to be a huge day for you!"
Immediately her smile turned in to a grin, "I hope Trevor likes Eloise and my dresses."
"Of course he will. You could wear a potato sack and he would still give you those same fucking heart eyes, are you kidding me?" she laughed.
Olivia joined her knowing that it was true. "I am actually hoping for a nice relaxing low-key kind of night."
"Yeah, you're gonna get that… we'll all meet up for dinner, you can spend some time with Teddy and do your night time feed and express or whatever you need and then we'll take him for the night so you and Trevor can have some time to yourselves and we'll do the same tomorrow night."
"You and Sonny deserve some time alone…" Olivia let her voice trail off.
"We will, he actually surprised me and we'll stay on for another 5 nights, just him and I…"
Olivia smiled sincerely happy for Trevor's sister. "Oh, that's awesome. I am so happy to hear that."
She glanced over to see Trevor dripping wet with the two kids running ahead.
Eloise was shivering and looked like she'd been fully submerged. "Oh honey, what happened?" Olivia asked, concerned.
She was crying a little and Trevor was trying not to laugh. "I set her down and she took a little tumble, she's okay, a wave just knocked her over," he pressed his lips together.
"Come over here…" Erika interjected. She lifted up the little girl's Frozen towel and opened it out to her, "come on, Auntie Ez will warm you up…"
Elly whined a little but soon calmed with the towel wrapped around her and her auntie cuddling her.
"I was brave, wasn't I, Daddy?" Noah asked.
"Yeah, you did really good out there, bud, but you have to stay with us and only go in the water with us, never on your own, you got it?"
Noah nodded seriously. He picked up Noah's towel and wrapped it around him before sitting on the end of the day bed that Olivia was cradling Teddy on. He rested his hand on her knee, "how about you, Mom? How are you and my baby doing?" he asked, hugging Noah to him.
Olivia was admiring Trevor's dripping wet body. She watched him toss his sopping wet hair out of his face and couldn't help but to be a little turned on by his strong, masculine and well-toned body filling out his board shorts.
"We're doing well," she replied. "But Mommy is gonna need to go for a swim soon too."
"Maybe before dinner we can come down for a Mom and Dad swim?" he suggested with a little wink.
"Gross," Erika muttered. "Come on," she got up from the day bed, "come over with Grandma and Uncle Sonny," she guided Elly and Noah, "we've got some snacks to eat."
Both kids followed over to their uncle and grandma.
/
"How was your afternoon?" Trevor asked Olivia as they got back to their suite.
"Amazing," she smiled, "I am so happy… the kids had such a nice time and I loved watching you with them."
He smiled at her and closed the hotel suite door behind them, "I am ready for a shower to get rid of all this sand. Are you gonna take a nap?" he asked.
She chuckled, "You know me so well… maybe a shower too, but I want to go back down to the beach later maybe before or after dinner."
"You don't really have any sand on you, just get in to bed… I'll just rinse off real quick and we can nap for an hour or so."
"Okay," she replied, stopping to kiss him as they passed one another.
Olivia removed her damp bathing suit and pulled back the bed covers of their huge hotel bed. She knew she was exhausted; the second her head hit the pillow she let her eyes close. She drifted off, stirring only slightly when Trevor got in to bed beside her.
He smiled to see that she was completely naked. The whole morning in the sun left a little bit of redness to her skin, leaving a line from the straps of her bathing suit.
He ran his finger along her shoulder until she shrugged him away. She rolled over, her back facing him. He couldn't help but to chuckle as he wrapped an arm around her and drew her close to him.
Trevor closed his eyes.
/
"Hey baby…" Trevor greeted Olivia, opening his eyes. She had been for a shower and was sitting on the edge of the bed looking out at the water. She had opened the doors of the balcony and let the ocean breeze blow the curtains around. She glanced back at him with the hint of a smile on her face. She seemed content.
"Good afternoon, my heart…" she let her voice trail off.
"I can't help but to notice you are very naked over there…" he smiled back at her, "and you're a little red…"
"I know…" her voice trailed off as she turned around and crawled her way back up the bed beside him. "I hope the kids didn't burn." Trevor caressed her warm skin absently, letting his hand graze her shoulder, down her arm and back up, cupping her neck.
His eyes searched her face before he buried his long fingers in to the back of her hair. "I'm sure they're okay, we both put suncream on them a few times, they'll be fine."
Olivia looked in to Trevor's eyes, trying to tell if he was showing any signs of intent — sometimes it was hard to tell if he wanted sex or if he was just being his usual affectionate self.
"What do you want to do this afternoon?" Trevor asked. She figured he was just being affectionate, enjoying their time, uninterrupted.
"I want to go back to the beach after dinner and have a walk and maybe a swim if it's still warm enough and I thought maybe we could go to the rooftop pool and have a drink at the bar…" she suggested almost coyly.
"That sounds like an amazing plan," he agreed.
"Love you…" she smiled. He leaned in and kissed her softly, letting his fingers brush against the back of her neck, rousing goosebumps upon the flesh of her arms.
He pulled away slowly. "Better get dressed back in to your swimwear then…" he added.
"Yeah, maybe some sun cream too…" she suggested.
"Maybe… you should express some milk first if we're going to have a few drinks tonight," Trevor replied.
"Good idea," Olivia replied, "I'd hate if he ran out of milk…"
/
Trevor laid back on the day bed beside Olivia. He was happy to see her looking incredibly relaxed reading a book that she'd brought with her for the trip.
"Sweetie?"
Olivia looked over at him and placed the book face down on her chest. She lifted her sunglasses and observed him. He looked beautiful in a very loose button-down white shirt with his board shorts. "Hmmm?"
"Is this the holiday you hoped for?" He wondered.
She smiled, "Yes… it definitely is… thank you…"
"Why don't you come over here and I'll put some sun cream on your shoulders and then we'll go and get ourselves a drink," he nodded to the bar in the middle of the rooftop pool.
"Sounds like a good time…" she replied. She sat up and put her book in her bag, exchanging it for the sun cream. Trevor sat up too, allowing Olivia the space to sit between his legs.
She handed him the cream and anticipated his hands over her sun-kissed skin.
She heard the click of the tube's lid and Trevor's hands on her shoulders moistened by the thick cream that he spread liberally over her collarbones, letting his hands travel around the front to the base of her throat and the top of her chest where her cleavage peeked out.
Olivia visibly shivered. "Sweetie, move your hair out of the way for me, will you?" he commanded her gently. With a hair tie on her wrist, she swept her hair up and twisted it in to a knot at the back of her head and secured it in place with the tie.
She grinned to herself, feeling his lips on the back of her neck as he nudged the straps of her swimsuit down on either side with his fingers so he could cover her shoulders and where his lips had just been with the cool cream.
"I could get used to this…" she murmured leaning back in to his hands as he smoothed the cream all the way down each arm to her wrists on both sides.
"Want me to do your legs?" he asked cheekily.
Olivia laughed, "no thank you, you can rub something else on them later in private," she joked.
Trevor laughed too as she turned around, "your turn…" she told him, picking up the cream and squirting a little out in her hands, "get rid of your shirt and lemme see those muscles…" she nodded at the button down he had on to protect him from the sun.
He couldn't help but to grin at her as he pulled the shirt off over his head. He twisted around and let her work on his back. He enjoyed her hands making their way over his biceps, the softness of her skin kneading the cream in.
Olivia loved running her hands over the muscular plains of his back, wondering how it was that she won the heart of such a beautiful hearted man who was sexy and attractive and a total softie on the inside. She thanked her lucky stars for him and for all the trouble that he went to to please her and make her and the children happy.
She was so excited to marry him and to finally have an entire, whole family.
"Can I ask you something?" Trevor began thoughtfully as she finished up with the sun cream.
"Of course…" her voice trailed off. He turned around facing his fiancé who sat at the end of his day-bed glancing at him expectantly.
He lifted his sun-glasses and took her hands; both of their hands were a little greasy from the sun cream. He glanced down at them and smiled absently. "I'm a little nervous to ask this…"
"Okay?" She began to feel nervous for some reason.
"How would you feel about…" he began gingerly, "legally adopting Eloise after our marriage goes through…"
She was not expecting that. She felt her breath catch. "Wow…"
"Is that a stupid idea?" he asked, a little embarrassed, "it's a stupid idea, isn't it? It's a lot to ask…"
"Trev- let me speak…" she chuckled, grabbing his hand tighter and pulling it toward her chest, scooting closer to him. She let go and took both of his cheeks in her hands and kissed him, "are you serious about that?"
"…yeah… but only if it's what you want, I don't want to put something on you that you're not comfortable with…"
"I am one thousand percent comfortable with that," she told him, emphasising her answer with a huge smile, "that would be my biggest honour — would you want to do the same for Noah?"
"Of course," Trevor replied without hesitating. "I would love for us to all share my name, for Noah to never have to wonder why his name is different to mine or his Mom's."
"I love you," Olivia blurted out, kissing him again, "thank you…"
"Thank you," he replied, kissing her back, "you are the absolute love of my life and I can't tell you enough how happy you make me and the kids and I am so fucking delighted to marry you tomorrow," he told her as he stroked her hair, "I know I sound like a broken record, but I'm so happy."
"I am too," she agreed, "I am so excited for you to see my dress and for us to exchange rings and have the kids with us and included in the ceremony… and to see you looking all handsome in your wedding outfit…"
He pressed his lips against hers in a passionate way, leaning in to her.
"Let's go get a drink…" he murmured against her lips, kissing her again.
"Okay," she smiled and gave him one last kiss in return before she got up.
He watched Olivia get up and find her way to the edge of the pool before slipping in without any hesitation. She smiled with satisfaction. "Its sooooo warm and nice," she told him, "hurry up and get in!"
"I'm coming hold on," he grinned at her urgency. It was so obvious how much Olivia loved the water, more than he did, but he was growing to enjoy just how much she enjoyed it.
He put on his hat and slipped in to the water too. She was right, it was just the perfect temperature for swimming… the kind of temperature that ensured they could stay in for awhile.
He took Olivia's hand and pulled her in toward him. She wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders and gave him a smile. "Your body looks extra hot when it's sopping wet…" she announced.
He chuckled. "Better hold your breath then…"
"What?" She laughed and before she knew it he dragged them both beneath the surface until their heads were submerged. She shrieked and blew out a puff of bubbles at him under the water.
Trevor pulled them both back up to the surface, laughing, adjusting his hat back on his head. He flicked his hair from his forehead and chuckled at Olivia's hair sticking to her face. "You fucker…" she muttered with a shocked laugh.
She let go of him for a second and went back under and fixed her hair up, slicking it back off of her face.
Trevor drew near her and kissed her wet mouth, still smiling, towering over her. She looked up at him and slid her arms around his waist. "You're hot when you're wet too," he murmured, kissing her a few times.
"Don't do that…" she laughed, "there will be time for that later…"
They both made their way over to the pool bar. "What would you like, baby?" Trevor asked, taking a seat at the little stool and assisted her to do the same.
They were greeted by a young Hawaiian man wearing a pink hibiscus shirt. "Could I get a Mojito, please?" She asked.
"Of course ma'am," he smiled and glanced at Trevor.
"Make that two, thanks…"
"So what do you want to do for dinner?" Trevor asked, "we can go somewhere special or we can do family dinner…"
"Mmm we better do family dinner because after tomorrow we will probably want to do our own thing for a little bit as much as we can."
"Good thinking, I kind of miss them actually, is that lame?" Trevor asked with a laugh. "I can't remember how I used to go like a week without seeing Elly… I can't even go a few hours without missing them now."
Olivia laughed, "you just had no choice but to make it work…" she replied as their drinks were presented to them.
"Oh my goodness," she grinned, taking a sip to taste her drink. "I have been thinking about this for weeks…" she chuckled. "Thank you!" She said to the bartender.
Trevor thanked him too and took a sip. "Refreshing…" he remarked enjoying the minty taste of the sweet, tangy cocktail.
He watched Olivia take a few mouthfuls and couldn't help but show his amusement with her ability to almost entirely drain her drink. "It's barely touching the sides," she remarked.
"I can see that," he replied. Her drink was 3 quarters empty. "Am I going to have to hold you up at dinner?"
"Maybe," she replied, "Mama will be a little looser than usual."
Trevor laughed and throwing caution to the wind, Olivia finished off her drink. Trevor looked up at the bartender who was finishing up with another patron. "Could we grab another mojito?" He asked.
"Sure," the bartender replied.
"Thanks sweetheart," Olivia thanked him, touching his leg, grateful for his non-judgment and for the playfulness.
