"Liv, hurry up! I know you make a point of being fashionably late, but today is not the time," Andrew said, tying his bow tie.

"I'm ready," Olivia said as she rushed out from the bathroom, her shoes in her hands. "What do you think of the dress Maggie chose for the bridesmaids? I like it!" she said as she twirled around.

Matthew and Andrew looked at their old friend; she did look good with the dress. The blush pink silk hugged her curves perfectly; the thin straps and low back were sexy, yet chic. She curled her hair and wore very natural make up.

"Yeah, quite nice! If I did like women, I would be all over you tonight," Matthew said.

"Now, princess, we need to GO," Andrew replied as he looked at his watch

All three friends exited the cottage they rented for the weekend. Their friend Maggie was getting married in an absolute dreamy location in the country side of South Carolina, outside of Charleston, where she was born and raised. The quarto had been friends for many years. They all met when they were studying in NYU; Olivia and Maggie were roommates while Andrew and Matthew lived across the hall.

Maggie was getting married to her high school sweetheart. For Matthew and Olivia, boyfriends came and went and Andrew's long time girlfriend recently broke up with him. Although they have very different lives now, all four friends remained close. Matthew studied history and was now completing his Ph.D on the American revolutionary war. He was now teaching part time in NYU. He still enjoyed the life in the big city as much as the first time he moved there. Being homosexual from the Midwest was not always easy and he felt he could be his true self in the big apple.

Olivia came to New York from London. Her father wanted her to go to Cornell upstate, but she preferred the city. She changed her major probably three times before settling on psychology. She was not even working from her field of studies; she was now working in a museum as an HR manager. She knew she got the opportunity to work there because her mother was working at the British museum.

Andrew was working a lawyer at his father's firm. He had always been a hard worker, since he wished to make partner before he turned 30. Since his girlfriend left him for another man recently, he threw himself into work like never before. He didn't plan going to the wedding since it meant to take a few days off, but his friends convinced him it would change his mind.

Matthew, Andrew and Olivia rushed outside only to see the coach bringing the guest to the church leaving the parking lot. They would have to get there some other way. Matt did not want to drive his car, since they would be drinking at the reception, but they had no other choice. They sat inside the convertible and tried to catch up with the coach.

The sun was suddenly hidden by thick clouds. Thunderstorm was around the corner. Wind started to blow violently. Leaves were flying all around them. They were close from the church so Matt decided not to get the roof back on, but sped up instead. As they were around a curvy road, the car started to slide on the opposite lane. Matt saw the truck at the last second and turned sharply the wheel as the truck hunk his horn. The car was thrown off the road and hit a tree.
