Earth 1/Greenworld

This was the time that future US historians would call the 'Summer of Discontent'.

Naomi had been hunting. She started small at first, travelling to the nearest large city and spending a few days just mooching about and seeing what was happening in the city. It wasn't that easy to pick out who was working for Savage and who was just a trouble-maker on their own behalf. In the end she narrowed it down to a low-life who'd been burgling small businesses. The cops didn't seem to be able to get a lead on him -probably because he didn't actually exist on this Earth. He was harming small business owners - especially when he started going in for a bit of arson. As a small business owner herself, she could appreciate their point of view.

When he was found in an alley - alive but with multiple stab-wounds, the only regret locally seemed to be that he'd recovered. However, this 'John Doe's' fingerprints had been found at the scenes of a few burglaries and he was going way for quite some time. If the authorities believed his account - that a girl had attacked him - they weren't looking all that hard. And she'd gone home anyway. She'd stay there for a while and thought. If she was going to be a vigilante, she needed to decide what her name was. Maybe design an outfit that matched the name - isn't that what vigilantes did?

''What are you doing?'' Ava Sharpe asked.

''Sitting in the shade, obviously'' Leonard informed her. ''I'm not so keen on the sun.''

Sara, who did like sunlight, had been lying a few yards away, working on her tan. She sat up, startled, not having heard the other woman approaching.

''I meant what are you doing here?''

''It's a free planet, as far as i know. Or are you the local beach warden now?''

''Obviously not.'' Ava snapped.

''Which of my statements are you disagreeing with?''

''Leonard'' Sara sounded a note of caution. It was no secret to her that Sharpe and Leonard didn't get on. Leonard even got on better with Adrian Chase than he did with this woman, but she did have the influence of A.R.G.U.S. behind her. ''Joe West invited us - all the Legends here for a short holiday.''

Ava decided that Sara was - marginally - the best of the two to talk to.

''Where's Chronos?''

''I thought you had the suit - or what was left of it'' Sara said. ''Didn't we give it to John Diggle?''

''I meant the man inside the suit'' Ava said shortly.

The two she was trying to get answers from looked at each other for a moment. Neither of them spoke.

After the Flash teams visit, Joe had relayed the message through Martin -why didn't the Legends - all the Legends - come for a few days? If not for them, his family wouldn't have had this chance for a better home. As soon as Leonard was discharged from hospital, they headed for Greenworld.

Sun, sea, in Ray's case, botany. Rip and Nate lazed around, officially discussing their 'Sage of the Legends' with Ralph chipping in sometimes - actually it involved more drinking that writing.

Young Cisco was fascinated by the fact that Carter and Kendra could fly. After a bit of persuading, Joe had let them take his youngest foster child go for a flight over the island and even out to sea.

Martin and Joe had claimed 'the old man's corner' and spent hours talking.

Jax had spent time with Iris and Wally, finding he had an unexpected liking for their style of fishing.

Most of the others just lounged around.

The most unexpected reaction came from the young Caitlin. On the second day, she had walked over to where Mick was sitting, looked at him for a moment, said ''Nice'' and climbed onto his lap. Thereafter, it was only mealtimes and evenings when he didn't have a youthful appendage. Joanne raised a humorous eyebrow.

''She's seen through your grizzly disguise'' she suggested.

He gave her a ferocious scowl.
