Chapter 5
As Mutsuki and Yuudachi were walking and chatting, Yuudachi looked up and saw Sendai walking and looking in every direction. "Sendai," Yuudachi said wonderingly, "wonder what she's looking for?"
"Or maybe it's a who," Mutsuki suggested. After Sendai looked in their direction and met their gaze, she immediately started heading towards their direction. Seeing this Mutsuki and Yuudachi both wondered what she needed from them, both of them feeling curious and anxious.
"Good, I finally found you," she said when she caught up to them.
"What did you need Sendai," Yuudachi asked, tilting her head in a curious look.
"Well I was really looking for Mutsuki but I guess you can come too, Yuudachi," Sendai said.
"What did you want with me," Mutsuki asked, starting to get concerned.
"I'll tell you both on the way to the launch bay," Sendai said, turning in the direction she just came from while Yuudachi and Mutsuki followed her.
"What's going on exactly," Mutsuki asked?
Turning to both of them, Sendai sighs and answers, "well, the last search fleet came back and they found someone."
Shocked, Mutsuki asks, "did they find her, is Fubuki okay," she asks desperately.
Sadly shaking her head, Sendai responds, "I'm sorry but no they still haven't found Fubuki yet, but they did find someone else, that's why I was looking for you."
Mutsuki couldn't figure out what was going on,there would only be one other person that would warrant Sendai hunting her down, but she had been dead for months, having died during the battle of W Island.
When they finally arrived at the launch bay, everyone was already outside. As they were talking, Mutsuki looked around and noticed something wasn't right. Amongst everyone else she noticed a familiar tinge of purple, causing her to gasp in surprise. As if on cue, everyone started looking at her, then moved out of the way so she could get a full view of what surprised her. She was shocked to her core, she knew that appearance all too well even if she had locked all those memories away due to the pain they would bring her. There was no way what she was seeing was real, she thought she would never see it again no she didn't think, she knew she couldn't; and yet there it was again as if to force her remember, as if to make sure she never truly forgot. Then, the figure turned to face her and she was fighting the urge to scream. She immediately recognized that beautiful face, sparkling purple eyes that almost matched her hair, and that smile that filled her heart with joy every time she saw it. "K..Ki," she tries to chokingly say as she eyes well with tears.
"Hi Mutsuki," the girl says waving, "I'm back home."
"KISARAGI," Mutsuki cries as tears flood from her eyes. She charges forward and almost tackles Kisaragi to the ground, hugging her.
As Kisaragi strokes Mutsuki's hair, she notices it wasn't just tears of joy that she was crying, but because she was hurting somehow. "Mutsuki," Kisaragi says, "what's wrong?"
"She," Mutsuki trys to say through fits of sobs, "She's gone Kisaragi, Fubuki, she's gone," she wails before crying into a confused and scared Kisaragi's chest.
