Earth 1, Star City. Greenworld

''What are you doing here, so early on?'' Ava asked, in a slightly sleepy tone.

''I stopped off on my way to A.R.G.U.S.'' Watson replied crisply ''and it's not that early.''

''OK - do you want coffee?'' Ava was putting on a good act of pretending to try and get her thoughts together, Evelyn thought. Her cousin could still surprise her sometimes.

''I want to know how you got on with your cousin'' was the reply.

''I talked to Evelyn but she wasn't willing to come back - nor will any of the others until their names are cleated.''

''Predictable - though how they think they're going to manage that when they're in a different dimension is beyond me. I'll have to go to Greenworld myself - although this does mean our agreement is off.''

Evelyn tensed - it wouldn't take Watson long to find out that they weren't there - and then she'd turn he attention back to Earth 1. Team Kaznia were beyond Watson's reach for the moment but her group wasn't.

When Watson had made her exit, Evelyn slipped back out of the bedroom. Ava held out her hand.

''Give me the evidence. I'll process it - this is for you mind, not for them -'' Ava's views of the other Legends plainly hadn't changed. ''But I guess you'd better go and warn them Watson's coming.''

When Evelyn breached back on to the Acheron, with a concerned expression on her face, most of the team jumped to the wrong conclusion.

''Your cousin said no -'' Rip was the first to voice that they were thinking.

''What -no, she didn't. She's going to process the evidence in the usual manner. That's not the problem!''

The urgency in her voice quietened them all.

''Watson's going to Greenworld. When she finds out we aren't there, the trail will lead straight back to Earth 1. She can't do much to Team Kaznia but she'll be hunting us.''

Sandra Watson had never breached before and found it a rather unsettling experience. From a room in the A.R.G.U.S. building, she stepped into a whirling oval of light. Within moments she was standing in the open air, facing a high security fence. She turned round to look at the A.R.G.U.S. base.

For a moment she couldn't see anyone - then two men appeared round the corner of one of the buildings.

''Excuse me!'' she made her way towards them as she called out.

They turned to face her and started in her direction.

''You just arrive?'' one of them asked in a friendly tone.

''Yes'' she pulled her ID. ''Sandra Watson. I'm here to see whoever's in charge.''

''Tell them I've gone hunting'' Joe West said, when the message reached him that someone at the A.R.G.U.S. base wanted to talk to him. ''I'll be back tomorrow.''

He looked at the small group of people who were currently gathered in their communal building - Team Acheron, Clarissa, Sylvia and Lily.

''What are you going to do?'' he asked, with a slight edge to his tone. Although he owed the original Legends plenty for the chance to start a new life, his first loyalty was to the settlers. By coming here as fugitives, the Acheron team were risking creating conflict between settlers and A.R.G.U.S.

As it happened, they'd discussed that when Evelyn brought them the news.

''Do you trust Watson?'' Joe asked, when Rip gave the details of their plan.

''No, but at this stage it doesn't really matter. Giving Team Kaznia time is the important thing.''

''The area's clear'' the woman accompanying Watson informed her. She had just been sweeping the forest around the clearing for any of the larger Greenworld predators.

''Thankyou'' Watson looked around, not really liking this kind of untamed forest setting - or much about this world altogether. She was a city type at heart.

She could only hope that the other guards were up to their jobs. Some of the people who would be arriving were dangerous.

Five small breaches appeared and five people stepped through - Hunter, Heywood, Dibley, Hall and Saunders.

Watson stared at them in irritation. Only five? Apart from Hall and Saunders, none were on the list she'd warned the base personnel about.

''Where are the others?''

''We're the delegation Rip informed her, which didn't really answer her question.

Rather than speaking, she rubbed her right arm with her left hand. There were two soft phut sounds and Carter and Kendra folded to the ground.

Nate, who'd been standing closest to them, jumped backwards, then stared down at the fallen pair.

''What are you doing?'' Rip put on an angry tone. ''And what are they doing here?'' He gestured towards the base's security personnel now stepping out of concealment.

''They're sedated'' Watson said about Carter and Kendra ''for now. And you're all under arrest.''

Evelyn watched from her vantage point in a tree, hoping that this was the last time she'd ever to climb one. Her vertigo wasn't strong but it was making its presence felt.

She waited until the others had been taken into the base, then cautiously climbed down.

''Good luck'' she murmured to her captured friends, before she activated her breach device and was gone.
