As the sun rose from the east, the citizens of Konoha started to emerge and tend for their morning chores. Mothers left the safety of their home to buy meat and vegetables for breakfast and lunch. Fathers woke up to prepare for work, while some went to start working, and some had just returned from work and greeted their families before taking some needed rest. Lastly, kids went outside to play with their friends.

But Konoha wasn't a village with only civilians. No, Konoha was a shinobi village full of shinobi. Academy students woke up early to attend the academy, genins rushed to meet with their teams, chunins got up to take some missions around the village, and jonins went to teach their genin students, or were given a mission or two by the hokage.

Speaking of the hokage, he was an old man who should've retired from work years ago, but thanks to the unfortunate event that happened five years ago, he was forced to go back and re-take his position as the hokage.

He was reading an orange book the size of his hand before a jonin asked for his audience. He sighed before keeping his orange book back on its hiding spot.

"Come in."

Hiruzen, the third hokage, permitted the jonin to come inside the office.

"Lord Hokage…"

Meanwhile, at the far corner of the village, there was a boy who was looking at the clouds above. This boy had blood red hair, and beautiful lavender eyes that paired well with his fair skin.

However, something was different with the boy. He seemed empty, like he was thinking of something deep, or he was not thinking at all. His eyes were a little clouded, like they were full of thoughts.

Both of those guesses were correct, as he was currently talking to someone inside his mind. To be precise, he was listening to someone dear inside his mind. This boy was Naruto Uzumaki, and right now he listening to Minato, his father and the fourth hokage.

Naruto met his father when he turned four years old. It was also when he turned four years old that the villagers started to hate him for some reason.

1 year ago.

"Hey, hey! Can I please have this?"

Said a four years old Naruto. He was currently pointing at a soft teddy bear that looked like a fox.

"Oh! What a cute kid, sure, do you have money?"

Asked the man behind the stall. He was a tall man with brown hair and brown eyes which was common inside the village.

"Yeah! Yeah! I have this much!"

Naruto showed a couple of coins.

"Ohohoho! Little kid, that amount is not enough to buy this teddy bear. I'm sorry, but maybe come back after you have enough?"

Said the man after laughing for a bit. Naruto didn't understand why the man would laugh, but he was upset either way. He really wanted the stuffed doll. Just as he was about to leave, he heard someone approach the man.

"Hey! What are you doing?! Just give the kid the teddy bear and never let him close to your shop again!"

Said another man who was skinny, but tall. He spoke in such a distressed manner that you would think someone cursed at his daughter and kicked his son.

"What? Why? How could you say that?!"

The man was confused at first, but he was enraged by what the tall man said.

"Oh, you didn't know? That thing with red hair is the demon that attacked us five years ago! Don't let him near you, and just give him the doll, it may already be tainted seeing that thing wanted it!"

"What?! How could you call such an innocent child a demon?!"

The man tried to retort, but the skinny man replied immediately as if he was waiting.

"Think about it! That thing is the only one with red hair in the entire village, that thing is also the sole person with lavender eyes in the village, and that thing has whiskers! No human would have whiskers! Only demons will!"

The skinny tall man almost yelled, and the man who talked with Naruto before looked at Naruto intently, before paling and grabbing the fox doll.

"Y-you?! G-get out of my s-sight!"

The man yelled before throwing the toy to Naruto. The toy hit Naruto hard on his head, making Naruto wince.

Why was the man suddenly aggressive? Naruto didn't understand. He only knew that the man was kind until that skinny tall man came in and started yelling.

"H-hey! Don't be so rough! What if you anger it and it transforms into its demon form?!"

"R-right! You're right, w-what should I do?!"

"I don't know… just don't do it again!"

When they looked back at where Naruto was, they found an empty spot.

Naruto already ran away with the fox teddy bear in his hands.

"I'm not crying hic–! *sniff*"

His eyes were puffy and red, as he was crying for whatever reason. When the man started being mean, he started to get sad, and then he started to cry. He then picked up the fox teddy bear and ran away while his eyes kept pouring out tears of sadness.

'Why were they so mean?'

Naruto thought.

—Inside Naruto's mind lies a giant forest filled with flowers, trees, butterflies, and foxes. In the middle of it all was a giant cage and a platform. Inside the platform was a man who sat in a lotus position, with both his hands resting on his lap. Behind him was a giant fox inside a giant cage. The fox was peacefully sleeping, when all of the sudden it started to rain. It wasn't just any normal rain, there was also lightning and of course, thunder.

The sky darkened as flashes of lightning bolted randomly in the sky and struck the ground, followed by the roars of deafening thunder.

"Hmm?"

Hummed the giant fox as he awoke from his slumber. Only one of his eyes were open, showing a glowing slitted red eyes. The man who was sitting in the lotus position also opened his eyes, revealing the brightest blue eyes you'll ever see.

"This… it's the first time it rained in here. Could you check what happened outside, Kurama?"

The man asked the giant fox. The man had spiky blonde hair, and he was wearing a white robe with fire patterns at the hem of his robe. In the middle of his robe was a written "Fourth Hokage", signifying who the man was. Yes, he was Minato, Minato Senju, the Yellow Flash, and the fourth hokage of konoha.

"Hold on, I'm trying to look at his memories. I was sleeping for god's sake!"

The fox, named Kurama, answered Minato's question with a snort. He was annoyed at being woken up, but he was also worried as to what happened outside.

After looking back at Naruto's memories, Kurama, the nine tailed fox, stood up and was now fully awake.

"Minato, I hope you're happy with the village you sacrificed your life for."

Kurama darkly muttered, his voice laced with venom. If Minato had not become his friend, he wouldn't have been pissed. But Minato was now the fox's friend, so of course he cared for his friend's son.

"What is it?"

Worried, Minato asked Kurama to clarify his statement. Kurama then scowled and turned its massive head to face Minato. Kurama's already terrifying gaze was made scarier by the dark look and the frown painted on its face.

"Your lovely village is currently chasing after your child, and the poor boy is running with all his might. It's obvious that he would be caught and beaten up at this point, what do you want to do?"

Minato paled, then he was filled with ungodly amount of rage as if the lightning and thunder around him became the incarnation of his rage. His mind was full of curses for the village he once loved. How could he not know why the villagers would chase around a four years old kid?

"I'm undoing the seal. It's time."

Minato said, his voice solemn and he started to walk near the cage. Kurama smirked and then raised his head to look at the dark clouds above them.

"I've told you before, but you never listened… Oh well, I guess this is for the better as well, seeing you won't have much time if you undo the seal early. Either way, I promise that I'll take care of your child, unlike that old monkey who forgets his promises."

A/N: Yes, Minato is a senju, and Naruto will have red hair. It always didn't make sense to me as to why Naruto had blonde hair, when Minato was a normal civilian orphan while Kushina came from one of the strongest clans in Naruto. I guess Minato's genes were just that good? Nevertheless, I'm making Naruto have more Uzumaki blood here, and also Senju blood, as Minato is again, a Senju in this story. Hope you don't mind these two changes~!
