Chapter 69: Figuring Out Life

Marco sighed, Star once her side of the date was over came to visit him at the treehouse.

She looked at Marco so she couldn't help but to rib him for a bit.

"So you want to Luffy after a break up for help…" said Star.

"I know that was dumb." Said Marco.

"He doesn't get romance…" laughed Star.

"I know…" sighed Marco.

"He's Luffy…" laughed Star.

"Can you please stop making fun of me right now…" sighed Marco.

"Oaky…" sighed Star.

"I'm here you know…" pouted Luffy.

Both Star and Marco looked at him and sighed.

Then knew that they had to talk about the topic at hand.

"So Jackie broke up with you?" asked Star.

"Technically we're on a break… but yeah…" sighed Marco.

"So what happened exactly?" asked Star.

"I changed so much in the past few months…" said Marco.

"Well I guess that make sense… a lot has changed ever since the slumber party." Sighed Star.

"Yeah… I mean so much had happened…" agreed Luffy.

Marco sighed .

"I can't blame her… I mean I can't swim any more…" said Marco.

"Did you ever go swimming on any of your dates?" asked Star.

"Not really…" said Marco, "But she's right about me changing…"

"Yeah…" sighed Star.

"I think I need a change…" said Marco .

"What do you mean?" asked Star.

"I have no idea." Said Marco.

"We can figures something out." Said Luffy.

"I don't know…" said Marco, "But nothing illegal on Earth or Mewni."

"What about illegal in this dimension." Said Luffy.

Marco gave Luffy a deadpan look, making Luffy laugh.

He hate the government of the Blue Dimension after all.

"Still… do I try a program like Jackie… do I learn new skills?" asked Marco.

That was when Star got an idea.

"I got it!" said Star.

"What is it?" asked Marco.

Star smiled and sometime later…

"A forging exchange student program in Mewni." Said Raphael.

"Yep! I mean they let me attend school… so they would he should be able to do something in Mewni." Said Star.

"But you don't have schools in Mewni." Said Angie.

"I think it's a fine idea." Said Raphael.

"Why?" asked Angie.

Raphael whispered something to her and she started to giggle.

"All right, you have a point." Said Angie.

"Why were you giggling?" asked Star.

"No… don't… I don't want the answer." Said Marco.

"But you do have to have the Principal approve." Said Raphael.

The next day, they went to talk to Principal Skeeves (the principal of the school). And he approved immediately.

"That it?" asked Marco.

"That's it…" said Principial Skeeves.

They all stared at him.

"Seriously?" asked Marco.

"Don't worry, everything fine." Said Principial Skeeves.

"Why?" asked Marco.

"Oh I want you to expand your mind in other countries… and other dimensions and…" said Principial Skeeves.

"You're worried that Star and Luffy are going to randomly show up if I remain is school…" deadpanned Marco.

"Nooo…" Principial Skeeves lied though his teeth.

Star who was there with Luffy also looked at him with a deadpan look.

"He said no…" said Luffy with a shrug.

"Fine… I just want a year of peace… sure there's Janna, but she's not as chaotic as you…" said Principial Skeeves

"Janna also has magic." Said Marco.

"Wait she does…" said Principal Skeeves, "I don't remember her having it…"

Luffy was about to say something but Star covered his mouth.

"You know she probably just never told you…" said Star.

Sit clear she erased his memories of something and it's never a good idea to know what she erased and why.

And with the paperwork cleared they had no idea what the next step is…

"Uh… should I do with this?" asked Marco.

"I have no idea…" sighed Star.

And so they once again hit a wall.

They of course informed Queen Moon and King River about this and were told that Marco was also going through the break but couldn't think of anything.

And so the three tried to think of ways to come up with something to fulfil something that would fulfil the requirements of the program (no matter how loose it is…).

But none of could think of anything.

"Is there something you can do like Reiju?" asked Luffy.

"No Reiju is a train assassin." Said Marco.

"Getting a job like that won't work…" said Star.

"Yeah…" agreed Marco.

They decided to go around the castle to clear their heads.

That was when they got to the garden and found Eclipsa in the garden feeding the birds.

"Hey"! cheered Luffy.

"Oh looks like you're being allowed out the tower." Said Star.

"Yeah, also a good idea to get out for fresh air." Said Eclipsa.

Marco looked at her confused.

"Oh Marco, this the Eclipsa …" said Star, "My many times great grandmother… who was crystalized for being evil and now she's awaiting trial."

"Okay…" said Marco still confused.

"Yeah it's a long story." Said Eclipsa, "So what's got you down."

"Marco's going through a break up… so he's going to do a foreign exchange student program in Mewni but we don't know what to do." Said Star.

"I see…" said Eclipsa.

"Did you even understand it?" asked Marco.

"Except for the break up part… no…" said Eclipsa, "Though I understand the pain of break ups… so I think I do understand wanting a change after that."

They went into more details about it.

Oh… I see… well you are Princess make up your own thing…" said Eclipsa.

"What?" asked Marco.

"Come up with something on my own and make it possible! Oh yeah!" said Star.

Then an idea hit Marco.

"What if I become your knight?" he asked.

Both Star and Eclipsa sighed.

"Sorry dead but it doesn't work like that." Said Eclipsa.

"It's true… you have to train under a knight as a squire before you can do something like that." Said Star.

"Oh man…" sighed Marco .

Then an idea hit Star.

"You can't become a knight right away… but what if you become my squire." Said Star.

"Awesome!" said Luffy.

"It sounds like a nice idea." Said Eclipsa.

"She seems nice… why is locked up again?" whispered Marco.

"For being evil…" Star whispered back.

Marco just stared.

"Yeah… I was the one who pushed for the trial." Said Star.

'Marco nodded.

And so Star told her mom the idea.

"If you think it's a good idea, I have no problems…" said Queen Moon.

"All right!" cheered Star.

"Just remember this serious… and once everything is over Marco will be judged if he will be a suitable knight." Said Queen Moon.

"it's fine…" said Star.

She grabbed Marco to do something.

Queen Moon sighed, but knew that her daughter and best friend were happy… so it wouldn't be that bad…

And so plans were made, Marco would spend nights in both dentition depending the day and other things.

But still… Marco had a new plan in life and new adventures to await…

And it was fairly drama free which was also good.,., considering a lot going on…
