What, it's been two weeks again? Wtf, the weeks are getting faster as the year goes along coz it's freaking October now.
But anyways, I have another chapter for you. Lots of dialogue, not enough sex - a 2/10 chapter, if you will :P
So summary so far - it's still Keima and Haqua time behind the curtain, so the girls have plenty of time to chat. Jun is on the road, though she's come to realise that someone answered her phone and may possibly know her secret. Oh no, is that going to resolve itself soon?
Probably not, coz I'm such a slow writer. Nevertheless, I'll keep posting as much as I have, so please enjoy.
Sumire was happily munching on leftover cherries from the jar as she approached Mio. The blonde quickly snapped something on the desk close.
"You're not touching that with food on your hands," she indicated to the syrup on her fingers. Sumire licked her fingers, "that doesn't make it any better."
Sumire shrugged as she fished out another cherry by the stalk.
"You can put it away…" she said casually, "we'll deal with that later."
Mio looked around and agreed, tucking something into a book in her bag and zipping it up. Sumire sat by her side and placed down the jar on the table between them.
"Nee, Mio," Sumire broke the stem off the current cherry, "do you think you can tie this with your tongue?"
"I think so," Mio helped herself to one, "I used to be able to do it a few years back…" she pushed the stem lightly, "oh yeah, this is definitely soft enough."
"Can you show me?" Sumire asked excitedly, "I've never gotten the hang of it."
"Eh, why not?" Mio placed the stem on her tongue and closed her mouth. Sumire was amused at the way her mouth contorted, but thirty seconds later, she pulled out a stem with a knot at the end.
"Oh wow," Sumire looked at it, "you must be pretty good with your tongue."
"Eh?"
"You know – the whole thing with being able to tie cherry stems is that your tongue is dextrous and well-controlled. So it's pretty good for making out and stuff."
Sumire waggled her eyebrows and Mio rolled her eyes.
"I wish you wouldn't say unnecessary things like this," Mio responded calmly, but her cheeks were slightly pink. The brunette picked it up very easily.
"Have you decided what you're gonna do with Katsuragi?" she asked with a smirk, "coz if you haven't, I think that you'll definitely make him very happy if you use that tongue."
"No one asked for your opinion," Mio flicked the stem at her, which she dodged, "it's fine – I'm sure I'll figure out something before the time."
"Yeah," Sumire laughed, "and even if you don't, it's no biggie – you guys can just chat or whatever."
"True."
Sumire stretched and leant back in her chair. Admittedly, she had made plans for what she wanted to do for her time with Keima, but it really felt like a dream – to be sitting at a school the next town over with no one she knew before this day, yet still knowing that there was a common denominator which bonded them together.
"Nee," Sumire asked after a moment of silence, "do you want to know what happened between you and that guy?" she asked.
"I'd want to," Mio remarked, "I know that I'm classmates with some people here, but I never would have agreed to spend the whole evening here normally."
"Then why did you?" the brunette asked curiously.
"How to put it…" the blonde scratched her ear, "it was like I was compelled to be here."
"Oh really," Sumire sat up, "it was the same for me."
"Oh."
"Like when I got the email with the invite to have a sex education class in a school an hour away, I was about to delete it, but one of the lines kind of struck me."
"I bet I can guess…"
"'If there's something that you feel you're missing, the answer will be here'," Sumire paused as Mio joined along with quoting the last part, "you too, huh?"
"It's weird," Mio explained, "I was happy with my mum and my job, but it always felt like something from my side was snatched away."
Sumire wondered if she was referring to Keima or the memories she lost, but she didn't pry.
"That's pretty much the same as me," the ramen enthusiast replied, "like there was just one thing missing to have the ideal life…" she laughed nervously, "I thought that was just me missing my mum."
"I'm really sorry," Mio said sympathetically, "losing a parent is hard, I know."
"You too, huh?" Sumire smiled wryly, "divorce can be pretty messy," Mio shook her head.
"Actually, my dad passed away," she answered softly, and Sumire looked instantly guilty. Mio quickly waved her hands, "not that I want you to feel bad about that."
"I dunno…" Sumire tried to joke, but her voice shook, "it feels kind of shitty to compare our losses when I do at least get a call from my mother every few months."
"It's not, Sumire," Mio said in an exasperated tone, "it's alright to feel loss when someone leaves you. You missing your mum is as valid as me missing my father."
Sumire looked up to see Mio's hand on her knee. She smiled and placed her hand on top of the blonde's.
"Do you still miss him?" the brunette asked.
"Not as much as I used to," Mio admitted, "I've kept myself busy and I have had time to get to terms with it."
"You're pretty amazing," Sumire tightened her hand around Mio's, who responded by turning her hand over and clasping their fingers together. Sumire smiled lightly as she tightened her grasp.
She looked down at their intertwined fingers.
"That's also pretty gay," Sumire remarked with a teasing tone, but Mio just laughed, not letting herself be goaded to react.
"If you want to see it like that, be my guest."
Sumire laughed and squeezed Mio's hand.
"I'm glad I got to meet you today," Sumire said with a laugh, "I was a bit nervous coming to a place where I didn't know anyone, so it's a relief to make a friend."
"No problem," Mio responded, "commoners do like having company, so I don't mind making myself available."
Sumire's head tilted to the side.
"I've heard you say that a few times today, but I was wondering what you meant by that… like what makes others more common than you."
"To be honest, this is more a relic of what I used to be like," Mio laughed, "my father was the owner of his company, so I was a spoilt princess who was above it all. Father's death did leave us in a bad place, so I decided to work part-time to help with things around the house, and I learnt a lot from there."
"I see," Sumire smiled gently, "so you learnt how to be a commoner too?"
"I learnt how; it doesn't mean I am one," Mio swished her pigtails, "I'm aiming to get back my father's company once I'm educated enough."
Sumire's eyes widened.
"That's hella ambitious!"
"It's just natural for me," Mio smiled with a slight arrogant edge, "but I don't think it makes me any better than the commoners who come to my shop."
"Really? I feel like commoner is just a demeaning word in general?"
"It's not like that," Mio rolled her eyes, "normal folk are just people who aren't like me… but they're admirable in their own way – like Fumizawa-san who is raising her son on her own… or Tanaka-san, who always picks up a muffin before going to his job at the newspaper… or Mayu-chan, who has tried applying to be our baker's apprentice at least once a month for the last year. They're people who give it their all, and I like being there to see it – oof!"
That oof was because Sumire half tackled her off the chair in a tight hug.
"You're such a good girl, Mio," she rubbed her cheek against the blonde's.
"You're so weird," Mio laughed but didn't shove her off. Sumire did detach herself quickly enough.
"You're so cool," Sumire gushed, "why didn't you tell me this sooner?"
"Just be grateful I told you at all," Mio retorted, "it's not something most people know about me."
"Is it maybe… that you consider me a friend?" Sumire pulled away, her eyes shining.
"That goes without saying, you know," Mio turned a little pink, "you're the first one to ask why I use that word."
"Heeeh…" Sumire smirked, "so do you want to hear my backstory?"
"About how you became the proud owner of Sumire-ya?" Mio raised an eyebrow, "you told us on the car ride to Yokado, remember?"
Sumire laughed awkwardly and fell back into her chair. She was too chatty sometimes.
Still, Mio had to admit… she did admire Sumire's pluck as well. It wasn't every day she'd hear of someone making sixty bowls of ramen in two weeks… or how she managed to convince her father to try her ramen after he was so insistent that she never takes over his shop.
Well, it was her shop now. Take that!
Mio was still so far from achieving her dream, but it was a nice reminder to know that they were still possible, with every step and misstep that she took.
"You know what would be nice," Mio was interrupted by Sumire's voice, "what if we introduced your mum to my dad? Maybe one day, we could be sisters… like a reverse Parent Trap!"
"Your dreams are too big, Sumire," Mio patted her head, "we can't go setting up our parents like that, you know…"
"I don't want to hear it from you, Ms Taking-over-my-dad's-company," Sumire teased, "personally, I think it's a good trait to dream big and try your best. Even if you never reach it, you'll at least get a bit closer to the version of yourself that you want to be."
"That's an interesting point," Mio gave Sumire a genuine smile, "so even if you fail, it isn't all for nothing?"
"Precisely," Sumire looked down as her phone vibrated, "perfect timing, actually," she remarked as she flipped the phone open to see an email from her father.
"What is?"
"It's my dad," Sumire started typing a response, "he just wants to check when I'll be back home."
"It's probably not going to be for two hours, at the very least," Mio responded, "you are planning to stay till the end, right?"
"I think so," Sumire typed that response and sent, "so as I was getting at… I've been trying to get along with To-san better lately, so I have been aiming to try and be as honest with him as I can."
"I see," Mio wondered, "so what did you tell him about today's lesson?"
"Basically that I was going to a school in Maijima for a cram lesson," Sumire smiled, "I did have to lie within reason… he'd have a heart attack if he knew it was about sex."
"Fair point," Mio laughed lightly, "to be honest, if my father were alive, I likely would have told him the full truth."
"Really?" Sumire's eyes widened, "would he have been alright knowing you were sexually active?"
"I think so," Mio admitted, "he was my best friend. From the start, he had an open line of communication with me, so even if I had strange questions or I'd done something wrong, he would always be there for me."
"That's amazing," Sumire sighed, "my dad is a grump who never understood me… but he loves me and he's the only dad I have, so I really am trying to bridge that gap so we can be on the same page."
"That's really admirable, Sumire," Mio spoke softly, her fringe hiding her eyes, "I do hope you can get there."
"Thanks, Mio," Sumire's phone buzzed and her eyes sharpened angrily, "no, I refuse," she angrily typed into her phone.
"What?"
"'You don't need to learn math till 10pm,'" Sumire read out, "'make sure you're home by 9. I'm not changing your curfew for tonight.' Can you believe this guy!?"
"That's unfortunate, but he is your parent," Mio responded reasonably, "maybe you can talk with Katsuragi? I'm sure he can move things around for you so you can go earlier."
"Over my dead body," Sumire gnashed her teeth as she angrily typed, "I'm not asking a lot for one day."
"Mio-chan, Uemoto-san," both girls looked up at Yui, who was behind Sumire's chair, "we're gonna discuss pizza flavours. Will you join?"
There was a moment's confusion, as the two girls hadn't been around for any of the discussions, so Yui clarified.
"Please," Mio stood up and plucked the phone out of Sumire's hand, "and you need to calm down before you send anything to your father," she aimed at the seated brunette.
"What's going on?" Yui asked, looking at the sulking girl, and Mio looked annoyed as well.
"Her father insists that she be home early," Mio explained, "I want her to make sure she's calm before she tries fighting back."
"That's kinda unfair," Yui responded, "but Mio-chan is right about that too…"
"But 9 pm is barely two hours away," Sumire crossed her arm, "though you and some girls are having a sleepover, right, Goidou-san? What if I convince him to let me go there?"
"If you can, you're definitely welcome to join," Yui agreed, "when we realised how long things were going to go, we told our parents that we're planning for a cultural festival, and Ayumi's mum agreed to let us sleep over, regardless of what time we finish up at school."
"Oh man, I wish I'd told my dad that instead of the truth," Sumire sighed, "what do you think, Mio?"
The blonde didn't say anything, rather dropping the phone into the brunette's hands and walking off.
"W-what's got her panties in a bunch?" Sumire asked, but Yui shrugged.
"Well, she did give me my phone, so it's probably fine to reply," she glanced at the message she'd written, "and it was probably a good thing she stopped me before I sent this…" she erased the vitriol-laced message she'd typed and wrote 'but it feels like we're having a breakthrough… can I stay at a friend's house for a sleepover, if you're worried about the late time?'
"Thank you very much, Goidou-san," Sumire stood up, "I'll tell you what my father says… though I want to talk to Mio first… I hope I didn't say something to upset her."
"Well, she's with us now," Yui responded as she started steering Sumire to the rest of the girls, "now let's go look at pizzas."
"Pizza, pizza, pizza…" Sumire chanted as they walked to the group of girls on the other side. The court had dissolved now, and it was just a bunch of girls looking over paper menus.
"Hey, you joined us," Chihiro called, "I knew the call for dinner was too strong."
Sumire laughed.
"So how did your court case go, or whatever it was?"
"Don't even ask," Chihiro rolled her eyes, "I got sentenced to Horny Prison."
"What!?" Sumire laughed.
"That was my exact reaction… I guess I've been deemed too perverted in a class where two people are literally having sex behind that curtain," she indicated to the room exasperatedly.
"That's actually kind of impressive, if you think about it? So what was the crime?"
"Hooking up with Katsuragi in the boys' bathroom," Ayumi appeared with a paper menu.
"I told you that we didn't hook up!" Chihiro retorted angrily, "he literally couldn't get hard, so just on that count, nothing could have happened."
"Aah, so had the possibility been around, you would have hooked up," Sumire teased, "yep, you deserve Horny Prison for that."
"You know, she's also not wearing panties," Yui added with a smirk, "coz Keima-kun stole them," Chihiro instinctively held down her skirt in case there was another attack.
"Wooow, that is real kinky, Kosaka!"
"Do you guys have nothing better to do with your time than embarrass me?" Chihiro asked. Both Yui and Ayumi looked at each other.
"Nope!" they laughed, and Chihiro facepalmed.
"You see what I have to deal with everyday," she motioned to her friends, "clowns, each and every one of them."
"Aww, you don't have to be like that, Kosaka," Sumire patted her shoulder, "they're just teasing you because they love you… I wish my friends were like that."
"Oh, we could be like that," Chihiro added, "if you have someone you have a crush on, I could definitely make you regret telling me about it."
"When you put it like that, how can I refuse?" Sumire laughed, "unfortunately, the only person of interest I know is Mr Panty Thief…" Yui gave her a high five and Ayumi laughed. Chihiro just sighed.
"So my reputation really is ruined forever…" she walked off. Sumire gave her two friends a concerned look, but neither of them looked worried.
"She's just being dramatic," Ayumi laughed, "trust me, if she didn't want you to know, she wouldn't have brought it up."
"Chihiro is enjoying this, don't worry," Yui agreed, "I think it's a good sign that she's being more open about her feelings for Keima-kun… like she's not embarrassed for feeling them anymore."
"Heh, you can't really be embarrassed about liking Katsuragi when literally everyone likes him," Ayumi shrugged, "but whatever, let's look at pizza."
There was a bit of a lull as some footfalls alerted a new person in their presence. It was the pink-haired idol, who was looking a little strange.
"A-actually, can you come with me to the bathroom, Ayumi-san? We aren't allowed to leave the classroom alone anymore, according to Nikaidou-sensei."
The nervous look on her face and how she was playing with her skirt hem instantly alerted Ayumi that Kanon probably didn't choose her at random to accompany her to the bathroom.
"Oh, yeah… I'm coming," Ayumi and Yui traded a knowing look, but Yui shrugged her shoulders.
She didn't know if they were going to talk, but whatever… she could hear more of the story later. She turned back to Sumire, who wasn't paying any attention to her.
Sumire was creeping up on Mio, who was immersed in her pizza menu.
"Nee, Mio," she popped up over her shoulder, "what's your favourite flavour?" she said in a sing-song voice.
"Food is food… you're not going to see me complaining about flavours," she glanced up from the menu to her shoulder, where Sumire was gleefully hanging on her arm, "but I guess if I'm choosing from this list, I'll probably go with a margherita."
"Classic, just like you," Sumire gave her an affectionate hug.
"Aww, you guys are so cute," Yui strolled in, "don't tell me that you guys are in love too?"
"We're not, she's just clingy," Mio pointed at Sumire.
"Ah well… it would have been nice… more Keima-kun for me."
"Hey, no hogging the only guy over here," Sumire glared at her, but Yui rolled her eyes.
"You know that Keima-kun is more than just his dick, right? Like I have a dick."
Both Sumire and Mio snorted, and Yui realised how that sounded, her face darkening.
"Not that I actually have a dick. I'm a girl… I mean I have a… what do you call those," she started pumping a shaft of air, which did nothing to clear up the confusion, "i-it's a toy…"
"A dildo?" Sumire spoke, and Yui pointed to her.
"Exactly that!" Yui said, "I bought one of those with me today."
"How did you get one of those?" Mio asked, "didn't you only turn seventeen recently?"
"My older sister got it for me, but that's besides the point," Yui shook her head, "my point is, Keima-kun isn't just a guy here… he has a lot of history with us."
"You can say all that, but neither Sumire nor I remember any of it. We really can't say much."
"It's kinda unfair… it's not like we wanted to forget."
"I am really sorry, hey," Yui said sympathetically, "while it's good that we can make memories here, it's not nice to forget what started it all."
"I don't think I'm too concerned about the old memories," Sumire let go of Mio, "as long as I get a fair chance with him and I can get his number at the end of the night, I'll leave here happy."
"I don't think I'll get my fair chance," Mio scratched her head, "my period started two days early, so I'm out of commission now, even if I knew what I wanted."
"Oh man, that's really rough," Yui said sympathetically, "you hanging in there?"
Mio nodded.
"No cramps, and luckily there were enough girls around to find someone who had a pad… but it's not really helpful for a lesson like this."
"That's double unlucky," Sumire frowned, "did you have something in mind?"
"Not really," Mio sighed, "at least, no matter what happens, I'll get to enjoy pizza here."
"There there," Yui patted her head, "if you just end up talking with Keima-kun, you'll still have fun," she smiled, "so you wanted margherita, right? I wonder what Sumire-s-"
"Oh come on!" both girls turned to Sumire, who was looking at her phone, her face in disbelief.
"What did he say?" Mio asked, knowing full well what the likely culprit was.
"You don't have your toothbrush or clothes, so how can you have a sleepover? It's just a lesson, so excuse yourself and be home by 9pm," Sumire read out loud, "Goddammit, To-san!"
"I know you don't like it, but that means that you can still stay for another ninety minutes," Mio tried to reason, but Sumire shook her head.
"But today is special and I don't want to leave so soon," she sighed, "I'm not asking for too much, you know," Yui laughed.
"I'm going to be a bad influence here, but I think you should just lie… just turn your phone off and stay with us. You'll get in trouble tomorrow, but it's not like he's going to find you in a different city tonight."
"That… is a good point."
"No, what are you guys doing!?" Mio groaned, "that's a terrible idea. Not only will you just ruin your night because it's on your mind, but what if your father needs to get a hold of you but he can't?"
"That's kind of the point, Mio. It's one night… both of us have spent longer time giving each other the silent treatment…" she laughed, "and that's just for you. I'm a born rebel."
"But-"
"If you're so good, how did you convince your mother to let you stay late?" Sumire interrupted her, her eyes harder.
"I told her that I was doing something important and I would come home as soon as I was done."
"This is basically what I said! Your mother must be more reasonable than my father…"
"I don't think he underst-"
"Fine," Sumire spoke as she typed it in the phone and sent the message.
"So you'll go home early?" Mio asked, Sumire laughed as she powered off her phone in front of them.
"No way! I'll turn on my phone when I head back tomorrow…" she slipped her phone into her uniform skirt and Yui held up a hand for a high five, which she gladly gave, "soo… pizza?"
"You really don't get it, do you?" Mio sighed, "do whatever you want… I'm out…"
Sumire felt a bit of a sting at the disappointed tone in Mio's voice, but she wasn't going to take it back. Her father was being unreasonable, and she'd accept the consequences when she was back home.
"Speaking of being out…" Yui glanced up, to where Haqua was emerging from the room, a smile on her face and her scythe over her shoulder.
"H-hi," Haqua smiled awkwardly and waved. Yui's face brightened.
"Hello. I take it everything went well," Haqua nodded, practically beaming.
"The potion seems to be all good."
Sumire, who was watching Mio, turned back.
"H-Haqua-san," she smiled, "welcome back."
There was a bit of a lull as the two teens wondered how to speak to an acquaintance who just got out from doing… that… a barely minutes ago.
"D-did you have fun?" Sumire asked awkwardly, "a-actually, that's a stupid question: you look too happy to have not had fun," Yui laughed, and Haqua blanched.
"A-Ah… it was fine…" she blushed, "w-we were just testing that everything was fine with the potion."
"I-I see…"
Yui snorted and looked away… fine was an understatement. She probably got a damn good dicking in the process.
"What was that?" Haqua turned to Yui.
"Oh, nothing," Yui said loftily, "it must have been very fine sex to get you this happy," the scythe glinted as Haqua aimed it at her.
"Any final words from you?" she asked threateningly, but that was marred by the blush on her face. Sumire had to cover her mouth the hide the laughs trying to burst out from her mouth.
"My, will you look at the time, gotta order that pizza," Yui scrambled out from under her blade, and Sumire couldn't help it – she lost it. Then Haqua turned to her.
"Which reminds me…"
"D-do you want some pizza too?" she asked fearfully, but Haqua shook her head.
"I wanted to talk to you," Haqua dropped her voice, "I'm going to go out for a bit to get some evidence… I want to know the exactly what happened with Nagase-sensei."
"O-oh," Sumire sobered up, "we were in the parking lot of Yokado Supermarket by Kozoe river… there wouldn't be evidence there, though."
"That's fine. Just the location is good."
"Oh…"
"Just so you know, I'm going to tell Katsuragi about happened with Sensei after I'm back…" Sumire's eyes widened as she followed Haqua out onto the balcony.
"W-what good is that going to do?" Haqua turned to her.
"Katsuragi cares a lot about you girls – more than you know, and probably more than I even know… this is something he's going to want to help with, and I'm not going to leave him out of the loop, even if Nagase-sensei won't be happy with that," Sumire nodded, knowing that she wouldn't change her mind, even if she wanted to.
"Okay… I'll do what I can to not raise suspicion on this side," Sumire agreed, and Haqua gave a grateful smile.
"We're definitely going to help her," Haqua promised, "I just need to find out how…"
Sumire nodded, feeling grateful for the effort Haqua was going through. While Jun was alright physically, she wanted to make sure that she was mentally alright too.
"Good luck," Sumire wished her, "I'll see you later."
"Yeah, later."
Haqua was about to turn away when Sumire spoke again.
"W-wait, what pizza so you want? I'll order for you."
"Umm… nothing for me, thanks," Sumire laughed at Haqua's response.
"Okay… I guess the sex was really good if you're not interested in pizza."
Haqua paused in midair. So she wanted to go there again?
"Don't get cute with me, Sumire," she rolled her eyes, indicating to her scythe, "I like you, but I will not talk about this with anyone."
"It was worth a shot," Sumire let out a nervous laugh, "seeing that I'm probably going to be grounded a month after this, I wanted to know if it was going to be worth it…"
Haqua raised an eyebrow, but the grounded girl waved her off with a 'nevermind', but she shook her head.
"L-look…" she lowered herself back so she was seated on the railing, "it's not easy to say it's worth it or not. It'll be as good as the enthusiasm and effort you're willing to put in to make it good."
Sumire's smile fell. If Haqua could be this honest with her…
"C-can I do that? Even knowing that he knows more about us than I'll ever know."
Haqua internally groaned. She should have expected this to come up sometime.
"I think you should be able to do it, if you're willing to try liking Katsuragi again," she sighed, "although you might want to know what happened between you two in the first place."
"Wait, do you know, Haqua-san?" she nodded.
"Once the memory-removing team acts, they write a page long summary of what the original memories were, and what details were changed," she fashioned her hagoromo into a tablet and found Sumire's file, "so I'll just translate this and print it out… and here it is."
Sumire's eyes widened as she saw the purplish tinted paper in Haqua's hand. It was just this easy?
"Of course, this isn't perfect, but it should suffice to at least giving you the context of what happened."
"This is amazing!" Sumire threw herself at Haqua and gave the devil a hug, "c-can you print Mio's file as well?"
"Thaat shouldn't be an issue," Haqua smiled and hugged her back, "I will have to tell Katsuragi about this, though."
"That's a-okay," Sumire jumped excitedly, "thank you so much for letting us look at these…" she pulled away and let Haqua do the last of the printing, "First you made the potion, now you helped Mio and I, and you're going to help Nagase-sensei in a few minutes as well… you're a godsent!"
"You're welcome," Haqua smiled as she passed over the two papers, "though I should get going now."
"Yeah, I'm sorry for delaying you more," Sumire stepped away, "good luck and thanks. Please let me know if there's anything I can do…"
"That shouldn't be necessary. Just make sure that Nagase-sensei doesn't know about my involvement."
"Okay."
With that, Haqua flew off for real, and Sumire smiled at the papers in her hands. Mio was going to like this. She hoped it would make up for the things which were making Mio mad.
Although she still didn't know quite what it was…
"Eh, Haqua!" Sumire turned around to see Eri by the balcony door, "where did she go?"
"J-just out shopping," the ramen enthusiast replied awkwardly, "I think she was hungry…"
"Aww…" Eri frowned, "I wanted to ask if everything went alright with Nii-sama."
"It does seem so," Sumire smiled, "Haqua-san seemed happier since she left…"
"Oh, that makes sense," Eri brightened, "Haqua always used to get so happy when she learnt something big in school."
"Maybe," Sumire smirked… it was probably the sex though.
"Oy, Eri…" Yui appeared over her shoulder, "Haqua-san has been out for a few minutes… can you please see with your brother if I can have my turn yet?"
"Eh, Nii-sama isn't out yet?" Yui shook her head, "I'll go see what he's doing."
Sumire excused herself as well and found herself a quiet desk, where she placed down the paper, her heart beating louder in her chest, like she was about to write a test.
This was the answer she'd come here for.
Is this... Sumire plot? Well, I'm not sure how much a discussion about pizza or cherries or your absent parents can be considered plot, but nevertheless, there is some direction for where Sumire's conflict comes from - her dad (reasonably so) doesn't want her to stay in Maijima so late, and Haqua is acting against Jun's will, with Sumire's help.
With Jun's realisation that someone answered her phone last chapter, and with Haqua's plans for digging for information, things will be... interesting when Jun is back. Or I'm hoping so, considering I haven't written it, and my planning is a pile of dog shit.
As I mentioned before, I'm going through a bit of a hard writing patch, which mostly has to do with me being lazy and unproductive, but I will still try to keep to the two week posting schedule until I finally finish posting my backlog. I've still got 4 new chapters worth other than this, so we'll see.
Now onto reviews:
xellos540: Lol, if only I was Ace Attorney writer material - that shit is good. Though if you did enjoy that little courtcase, I am glad about that. Hopefully there will be another mystery for Keima to solve soon ;)
You called it, the freebie zebra was one of the toys they were playing with in the 4 Girls and an Idol OVA. I'm a lowkey fan of how grounded in reality it would be to bring attention to the freebies you get with your snacks. Heck, when I was younger, my life was about obsessing about Taz-Os from chip packets and spoons in my cereal boxes. It's too bad that it's just not a thing anymore.
Lol, though you know all the details already. It's in Chapter 13 and 14 :P
I love your theory that horny prison is the curtained room and Keima is the warden there... definitely stealing that for later *writes it in my book of story ideas*
No! The panties are gone forever! Sorry Chihiro, you'll need to buy new novelty ones - maybe Tom and Jerry this time :P
Though Keima and Jun having a bit of sexy time to sooth the pain. I would actually like that, but I dunno... would Jun be willing to show that to a student? I feel like her ideals are too strong, even if her emotional state isn't.
Thank you for your lovely review as always. I'm always excited to hear your thoughts.
MintCar92: Precisely, for Keima, it has to be One Leaf. At this point, it's my headcanon that he keeps the game cartridge on him at all times :P
I do feel bad for Tenri, but you're right... I don't think I've met a single Kaminomi fan who dislikes her, which I probably can't say for Chihiro.
Blood type personalities are one of those things I find fun to jump into. It's quite ingrained in Japanese culture, which is why a lot of anime characters do have their blood type given in canon. I know it's not grounded in science, but it's still a fun time looking those up, especially for yourself and your friends.
I like how you're thinking with the Jun and Haqua ultimate showdown once everyone in back in the room. Will it involve wrestling moves? I guess we'll have to see.
Thanks for reading and reviewing as always.
And to everyone else, thank you for reading. I should be back in two weeks, so stay well. I love you all.
Byeeee!
