Chapter 9
I looked around for Latios and Latias but all I could see was a glowing blue ball. I assumed that they were in there so I flew straight into it. I gasped when I saw them. Latias looked fine, but Latios seemed to be fading away and was a spiritual blue color.
"Michael! You came just in time! Quick, bring Ash over here!" shouted Latias.
"Whoa! I can understand you!" exclaimed Ash, "Wait, how can I understand you?"
"I don't know," replied Latias, "but even if I did there is no time to explain, Latios is dying!"
"What!" yelled Ash, "Is there anything we can do?"
"There is one thing," said Latios weakly, "but it is very risky and if done improperly all of us could end up dying."
"Well we have to try!" said Ash.
I gulped. "I guess so…"
"If you don't want to do this Michael, I'm not going to force you," said Latios.
I thought about it for a moment, it wasn't like I had much to lose anyway so I consented. "I'll do it,"
"Ok, said Latios, "Michael, get closer so that Ash can place his hands over me. Latias and I will do the rest."
I floated closer to Latios so that Ash could put his hands over him.
"On the count of three," said Latios, "one, two," I braced myself. "three."
I closed my eyes but felt nothing. Cautiously, I opened them and saw something blue flowing from Ash to Latios. Ash himself had passed out and I adjusted myself to make sure he didn't fall off. Suddenly, Ash started to glow and change shape. I could feel him getting heavier and struggled to keep him up. Then I gasped, Ash had turned into a Latios! He looked a like me and Latios but with orange on his body instead of blue or green. I glanced back at Latios. His body had returned to normal and all of his injuries had vanished.
"Um, what happened to Ash?" I asked. There was an awkward moment of silence.
"To be honest I have no idea," said Latios. Latias just floated there in silence.
"Can we take him down now?" I asked, he's getting pretty heavy.
"Yes," said Latios, "let's get him down, we can sort this out later when I'm not as tired."
"Latios! Latias! You're alright!" I heard Bianca call as we landed in the museum.
"Where's Ash?" I turned around to see that the question had come from Misty, who was standing with Brock next to Lorenzo.
"Who's that strange-looking Latios on your back Michael?" asked Lorenzo.
"Can we save the questions for later?" asked Latios, "I think all of us will need a nice long rest after tonight's events."
"Who is this Latios though?" asked Bianca.
"We'll tell you later." said Latios, "Right now we all need to get to the garden before Latias and I pass out."
About 30 minutes later…
I lay in my tree, thinking to myself. It had been a long night and I was very tired. But somehow, I just couldn't fall asleep. The events of the night kept playing over and over in my head. I wondered what would happen now. Suddenly, I felt myself being pulled somewhere.
"Hello, Michael,"
I looked around nothing but blackness.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I am Arceus, the god of all Pokemon."
"Arceus? This world has a god?"
"Yes, I am known as the alpha Pokemon, but enough of this. I suppose you want to know why I brought you here," replied Arceus.
"Well, kinda," I said.
"You were wondering what was going to happen next. Well, let's just say that you will be going on an adventure. It will be harder than anything you have done before, but the journey will be well worth it." said Arceus.
"What will I have to do?" I asked.
"That is for you to find out. Now, it's time for you to go the sleep."
I felt myself getting sleepier and sleepier. Eventually, I couldn't hold my eyes open any longer and I fell asleep.
Sorry for the short chapter, but I had to split it off here.
