Hey guys! OMG I'm actually updating and its only been 3 months! (that shouldn't be exciting considering this was already pre-written and I only needed to re-hash it; but I'll take what excitement I can get lol)

A nice little shout out to the past two reviews!

AnimeLime: Here is your chapter!

Sakura:Thank you!

So this was edited on 1-27-20! Yay! Enjoy!

And It was re-re-edited on 7-30-22, cause of a significant plot whole I noticed when re-reading everything and re-writing chapter 11. So a lot of new content that wasn't here before then.

-VVVV Old A/N VVVVVV-

Hi there! A special thanks to saberblast for reminding me to update this one and for being such a great fan! Thank you! :)

Anyhow, sorry for the wait, but I think those of you who have been following this for some time now are use to it. Give me a break it's my senior year. But I have had a lot of snow days due to this epically awesome winter we are having so I have had a little more time to write! :D So here we go!

Disclaimer: I don't own this show.

A Silky Situation

Soul was going to kill that witch, and if he didn't someone else would.

And why the hell was everyone expecting him to come up with a plan? It's not like he could think of something strategic and smart enough to get inside the fortress, wherever that even was.

It might be because Maka usually was with him and had ideas before anyone else did, so they usually turned to and followed Maka and Soul. But now he was on his own, and he felt like he was drowning in the responsibility. Damn, how the hell does Maka handle all the pressure?

-With Arachne-

Arachne was in her room and had her spiders around her feet while she got ready for bed, letting her silky black hair down and taking off her webbed dress and letting the spiders disassemble it. She stood by the door to her bath chamber that was currently being filled with soaps and other fragrances for her bath, and wondered what Maka could be thinking right now. She noticed that Maka had a slight sorrow in her eyes at dinner. Probably for being gone and making her friends worried. Those damn friends, they are all weak humans, she shouldn't even be bothered by their disgusting ways.

But after her talk with Maka, Victoria had spent time with the blonde girl and seemed to get somewhere in gaining some of the young meisters trust. After Victoria was done re-assuring Maka everything would be alright she reported to Arachne and hinted to her that Maka was in love with someone, and Arachne could already guess who it was. That damn scythe boy, she might decline my offer if she has a lover to get back to.

She took off her towel when she slipped her foot into the warm bath of bubbles and settled down on the bottom of the bath. How am I going to get rid of that pest? She pondered while washing herself. When she was finished she just sat there breathing in the fragrances and then she thought of it. It's been a long time since I learned this spell myself, but I'm sure my spiders can complete it. She called her little friends over and spoke the spell 'rembeda net liebe' and two of the spiders glowed a deep red. Then they dispersed. Arachne sighed and got out of her bath with the water falling off of her and she watched as it made its way to the floor before a servant came with her robe of webs for her.

-With Soul-

He was walking to their apartment after the long and stressful last two, about to be three, days. He felt exhausted but hasn't been able to sleep at all. Loosing Maka to that witch has made him far too worried.

"You know you could reach out to her in your dreams. The black blood connects you both and dreams are a souls most comfortable form of madness. All you would have to do is delve into the blood and find others with it to find her in your sleep. If she also happens to be sleeping you could even speak to her." Soul heard the Oni say in his head. He stopped in his tracks and thought about it for a second and then responded to the red creature.

"No. I know what you are trying to do. If I delve into the Black bloods power alone then I might never find my way back. It's too risky without Maka being here." Soul said as he closed his eyes to speak with the little devil.

"But what if you never find her? The academy hasn't succeeded in finding her yet so what are you going to do if they keep failing? What is life without a little risk?! You know I'm right, this is the only way to find her. So why not give it a whirl?" The demon said in his velvet smooth yet gruff voice. Soul thought about it for a second.

Soul was still under a tree as he stood there mulling over the red demons proposal when all of a sudden his eyes widened and he fell to his knees breathing hard. He felt like he had just fallen through thin ice and was drowning in cold water and couldn't breathe. His whole body was shutting down and he hit the ground with the sudden image of a black ribbon with red spiders on it came to mind before he blacked out completely.

-Back with Arachne-

Arachne was smiling when she finally settled into her silk sheets. She had put her second plan in motion and she knew she was going to enjoy this part. Soul was now under a spell and soon Maka would be too, when the time was right that is. (she was waiting for Maka to go to bed first so she wouldn't suspect anything) A spell so sinister she's surprised the witch that taught it to her had a long life. The spell makes the two people who it is put on forget the love that they shared and the deep moments they had ever had together. Maka and Soul would wake up and only remember that they were just two partners who always drove each other nuts. Lets see how strongly she feels about going back to that dreadful academy in the morning.

-With Maka-

Victoria had been so nice to talk to. They were able to talk about small things in life and bigger things in life like exams in school and less importantly, boys. It was getting awfully late when Edgar had come in and informed them that Lady Arachne has changed her mind and would be retiring to bed soon and would talk to Maka in the morning after breakfast. Victoria took that as her que to leave and give her report to the mistress for the evening. She bowed to Maka and told her to have a good nights sleep and left with a wink whispering a promise that her secrets were safe with her. Then she departed with Edgar to change shifts.

Maka hadn't realized how tired she was until she laid back on her now medium sized bed and let herself relax a bit.

She had a feeling that this wasn't the original room she woke up in because the one from before dinner had been much larger and seemed fit for a queen of spiders rather then the current room that seemed more for a princess. It had lavender walls, a grey marble like floor, and a chandelier that was shaped like roses. Her bed was clearly more like a full size bed instead of an extra large king and her room actually had clear light switches next to the bed's nightstand.

Most definitely a different room. Less creepy and more comfortable. It also had no windows so there was no way of telling time other then the analog clock on the far side of the room. The clock was a nice addition, but no windows meant no way to escape other then they doors that were guarded.

The only thing that was the same in this room was the vanity with the box of hair ties and that same damn dresser were here. The stupid dresser was closed yet again and yet again she couldn't see any writing on it. As she continued to think about it it just continued to piss her off.

Soon enough she got up and approached the dresser. She saw no words. She placed her hand on it and tried to open it like before yet it wouldn't budge. What had she muttered before that opened it again? She couldn't remember. After her dinner with Arachne she had a lot to think about and the words she thought she read off the dresser before seem to have left her memory. She sighed and while letting her hand fall from the wood wished she could get it open to get something more comfortable to sleep in when the outlining design on it suddenly shimmered. The words... were there again. She traced them with her fingers in awe of how they felt like they were etched into the wood and yet had only just resurfaced. She softly re-spoke the words and the doors popped open again.

The same nice clothes from earlier hung in the dresser but this time she explored the drawers underneath. Silky black shorts and a tank top pair looked like a good choice so she changed into it and laid her other outfit in the basket she assumed was for dirty laundry.

She then realized that she didn't have any toiletries to brush her teeth or wash her face with. Hell she didn't even have a bathroom to do said things in.

She knew there was a bathroom somewhere because Edgar had let her use one when she got ready to see Arachne for dinner. And with as many people as there seemed to be in this place there had to be more then one. She tried using her soul perception to see if anyone was around that she could ask and as she suspected two souls were right outside her door.

She wasn't sure if she wanted to walk the stone hallways in her nightwear but decided it really didn't matter if she would only be here a couple of more days assuming her friends would find a way to rescue her.

Maka decided to slowly open her double doors and peek around them to see if the guards were awake.

"What do you need?" One asked. It wasn't Edgar's gravely voice so it must be a new set of guards for the night.

"Oh, Um I just need to go to the bathroom and don't know where it is." Maka said innocently. The guard hmped and motioned for her to follow them. "Oh and is there any way someone can get me some face wash and a toothbrush and toothpaste to brush my teeth with?" She asked before she entered the bathroom the two had led her to. The one that originally had spoken to her said he would ask for some for tomorrow night. Then the other guard spoke up to both of their surprise.

"Actually, I might have brought a new toothbrush and toothpaste that my dentist had given me after my cleaning appointment today." The older male had said. He was big a muscular looking but had a surprisingly soft spoken voice. You would think he was a wrestler or something by the look of his shape. He rustled out a dentist bag out of his cloak and handed it to Maka. She peeked inside to see it had a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and even floss in it. And a little blue bouncy ball.

"Idiot why did you bring that with you to work?!" The younger of the two men asked. He was much smaller and looked like he could get pumbled by the other but spoke like he was in charge of him.

"Sorry Ren, I didn't have time to stop back at home and drop it off after the appointment because the dentist was behind and I would have been late if I went back home so I just stuck it in one of my cloak pockets when I got here. Besides there is a bouncy ball! I thought we could play with it while she sleeps until Victoria and Edgar come back for their shift." The bigger man said as he waved his hands in front of him defending himself.

Maka couldn't help but giggle at the comedic duo. She tried to hand the bag back to the large fella. "Here, I don't want to get you in trouble. I can wait till tomorrow to brush my teeth."

'Ren' stood between the two and pushed Maka's hand with the bag back to her.

"No, the mistress would rather us accommodate you any way we can. Since Ichigo brought it and offered you might as well keep it. I'll try to secure you some face wash and shampoo tomorrow when I get in. Now just do your business and lets get you back to your room ok." Maka nodded and took one last glance at 'Ichigo' before closing the bathroom door.

She finished everything she needed to do in the bathroom and proceeded to follow the two masked men back to her room. Ren tried to shut the door behind her when she turned around all of the sudden and came back to them.

"Here, I almost forgot." She said as she turned towards Ichigo with an outstretched hand. It was the blue bouncy ball from the bag he had given her. "I can't imagine how boring the night shift must me and I'll just be sleeping so you might as well have something to entertain yourself with in the meantime. Besides you didn't have to give me your bag so the least I can do is give you back the ball." She gave that sweet heartwarming smile she had given to Crona when they first became friends.

"Th-thank you." The large man said as he took the ball. "Goodnight." He said softly.

"Goodnight guys." Maka said as she then went back into the room and Ren nodded to her in acknowledgment as he closed her doors.

Maka's clock said it was nearly midnight so she snuggled into her silky sheets and swiftly fell asleep for the night.

She never noticed the crimson spider that was waiting for her to be fast asleep to bite her.

-Back with Soul-

Soul woke up in his bed with a blanket over him. He tried to get up but he felt so tired, he didn't want to move. He could smell something burning in the air but knew he wasn't in trouble; it was that one burner on their stove that had stuff stuck in it that caused the smell whenever it was used. Why the hell would Maka use that stupid burner when she has three others to use, and what on earth could she be making? He decided to get up and stretch, and then realized he was in his underwear. What the hell?! I never wear my underwear to bed unless its summer. What was I doing last night? He looked at his clock and realized it was Saturday 2:27 p.m.

Wait a second…..WHY THE HELL AM I HOME RIGHT NOW! He rushed to get his pants and shirt on, when someone opened the door and threw herself at him knocking him back onto his bed before he could get his pants up all the way.

"Souly poooo! It's about time you woke up! I've been busy making breakfast for you!" She clobbered him with her massive boobs and he struggled just to get air to breath. "It's the afternoon, how could you still be making breakfast?!" She finally leaned up but didn't get off of him to answer his question.

"Why I was making some yummy recipes that my mother taught me when I was youn….." she suddenly got a long look on her face and her eyes seemed to suddenly be haunted by shadows of the past. Then just as suddenly she shook herself out of it. "Anyhow, I've been waiting for you to wake up since I found you passed out on the sidewalk on my way here yesterday. So I have plenty of things for you to try! Nya!" She got off of him enough for him to sit up.

"Wait what? I was… passed out?" He tried to remember what had happened. He had told everyone what had happened on the mission from two days ago and had Blackstar pinkie promise him so he wouldn't get hurt, so everyone was now filled in on what had happened. What happened that was so important? Why was I so nervous about Blackstar's reaction…

Souls eyes widened in shock when he realized what he forgot.

"MAKA, WHERE'S MAKA!" He yelled and rushed out to the kitchen in his underwear. There were plates and bowls everywhere in the now messy kitchen, but no sign of Maka. He leaned against a wall and held his head. He had a massive headache. When he checked in her room and he suddenly remembered what he had told everyone. That damn witch. He scowled at the memory then he sighed and walked back to his room and sat next to Blair on his bed. "I guess it wasn't a dream, she really is gone." He bowed his head and felt a pang of sadness in his heart but couldn't figure out why he was so devastated. Yeah she was his partner and all, but they could just get her back. And if they didn't then oh well, she's a casualty of war right?

Blair just stared at his complex expression. She had heard him talking in his sleep so she was pretty caught up, but she also could still smell something funny on him. "Soul, what happened before you passed out?" She asked seriously.

"Huh. Oh I don't know, well, all I remember is walking home from Blackstar's and I suddenly felt like I was drowning and I guess I must have blacked out from exhaustion or something." He sighed remembering his thoughts from the other day. "I think I passed out due to all the stress I've been put under. Everyone is depending on me to lead this rescue mission and I don't have the slightest idea of where to even begin." Blair seemed to be listening but also seemed to be interested in something else. She was looking up and down his body quite intensely, and suddenly he felt self conscious with him sitting there, alone, on his bed with her, no Maka to interrupt them, with nothing but his boxers on.

"Uhhmm, maybe I should get dressed." He went to grab his pants again, but Blair stopped his hand.

"No, don't put them on, not yet." She said in a low sexy voice laced with a purr and something else he couldn't identify. She grabbed his arm and threw him on the bed and pinned him under the weight of her boobs.

"Hey! What are you- I don't want to- Blair stop!" He was getting scared now. She bound his hands with magic and started feeling him up; his abs, his back, and went down to take off his boxers.

"Blair please stop!" Soul struggled but she had him, and now he was getting hard cause of all the touching she was doing was turning him on. She smiled slyly.

"Ohhh, looks like you like that don't you? Well I can take care of that for you, what do you say?" She asked him.

"No, no." He breathed out. Then he spoke louder. "NO! Blair stop!" He gave her a hard dead look of anger so she knew he was serious despite his body betraying him. She pouted but went back to sniffing him all over.

Hmmm sad, we really could have done it, but oh well. I still have to find out where that scent is coming from. She reached up and shifted through his now sweaty hair while he was wiggling to try to get free still. She finally found it, she took her nail and jabbed it into his skull really fast so she could catch it.

"OAWHWWHWHAWH, WHAT THE HELL BLAIR! Son of a…." Soul went on complaining until she showed him what was on her nail. He couldn't believe it, it was a now dead, red spider. What the hell, we don't have those kinds of spiders around here, unless…..

"Is that one-…" He didn't finish because Blair confirmed it. "Yes, it most certainly is. Its one of Arachne's spiders that she uses to put spells on people without them knowing." She looked seriously worried. "But why would she want to put a spell on you?"

"I don't know, but whatever the reason, it can't be good." Soul said as he stared at the dead spider. What the hell is going on?

Old A/N:

So how was it?

That look Blair got for a moment was following off of a story that I wrote about Blair's past, though I may not continue it because its long. (Yes I have that much planned out about it... but whatevs. I honestly don't think people will read it.)

Anyhow, tell me your thoughts, clearly that scene with Blair and Soul was originally a lot steamier but I am re-vamping this to be less about smut (*cough sex cough cough*) and more about plot so I re-hashed it. Those of you who followed this story originally many years ago, I am sorry for your loss. XD

Re-edited on 1-27-19

New A/N: From the re-re-edited on 7-30-2022.

OMG I finally fixed the gaping plot hole guys! It was just bothering me so much how I just skipped over Maka's first night in the castle and that when I originally re-vamped this I took out the part of Maka being asleep and getting bit. It felt too rushed and was driving me crazy. So I added a whole new section to this chapter and I am so much happier with it now. I hope you guys are too. (Plus I added some black blood content to it too which I did not have in this story before either. ) Now I have some much needed better content to help me with the coming chapters.

The original characters were not planned, but I never do plan original characters in my fics, I just make them up if I need them to help move the story along. I was thinking of Hunter from Owl House when writing Ren and Ichigo I was just thinking of a soft sweet strawberry lol. But in all seriousness, I was just thinking of a gentle giant. Who doesn't love having a gentle giant kinda character in a story huh?

Anyways, to all of you returning readers or new 2022 readers, let me know your thoughts. :)
