(A/N) A quick heads up before we start today's chapter. A lot of this chapter (or at least the scenes with Team Flash) were inspired by the story "Snowbarry - Season 1" by "Write-To-You" Chapter 1x07. The author has already been made aware of this and was fine with it. Of course, I changed a bit to fit my story. So for the people out there who see similarities, that's why.

Don't worry, this'll be the only time that there's similarities between us. Once this chapter is done, we go back to original WIU writing.

This wasn't possible. Like, it literarily wasn't possible.

Barry's speed was... gone. Sucked out of him by a new metahuman that killed a man with electricity. Cisco, Caitlin, and Wells were all watching through the glass as Barry ran on his treadmill, but at a normal pace for once.

"Wow," Cisco said as he watched Barry run. "He's slow even for a normal human."

Sending him a glare that clearly said Not helping, Caitlin turned back to her tablet. She had laid out Barry's vitals, a sample of his blood, his heart rate, and anything that could help them figure out what had happened. So far, there was nothing useful.

Barry powered down the treadmill and sat down on the side, panting. The three scientists walked into the room.

"You can't just lose your powers, okay?" Caitlin told him. "Your DNA was transformed by the particle accelerator. You can't just un-transform DNA."

"Yeah. Tell that to that Uber driver who charged me 65 bucks to get here." Barry shot back unhappily. "I had to tell her I was coming from a cosplay party."

Caitlin's lips almost twitched, but she held herself together. She knew that Barry was devastated by the loss of his speed, but she was positive that they could figure out a solution. They've done the impossible so far, so finding a way to get his speed back shouldn't be a problem.

Right?

Back with Peter, he was sitting inside of Jitters, waiting for MJ to show up. As he stared at his reflection, thinking about what happened yesterday, he wondered what his next move was for Flint.

When MJ did arrive, she immediately spotted Peter and walked over to sit at the opposite side of the table from him.

"Hey." MJ greeted him with a smile. "You okay? I ran into May on the way over, she's a bit worried about you. And after our talk last night, I gotta admit so am I."

"Why?" Peter asked her.

"Well, I just didn't want you to do something stupid. You're too smart to do something dumb." MJ explains to him why she feels that way. Even though she knew his secret, she doesn't know fully what he was capable of.

"Like try and find my uncle's killer?" Peter asked her.

"Or try and do something you'll regret," MJ replied. She reached over and placed a hand on his. "You told me about what happened, and how you blame yourself for his death. But you need to let it go."

"This man shot my uncle in cold blood, for a rundown car," Peter whispered in anger. "I want to rip him to shreds for what he did."

"That's what I'm worried about," MJ tells him. "I'm here because I care about you. I know you feel you made a mistake and feel guilty about it, but I want to be here for you."

"I get that, but...there's nothing you can do to help," Peter said, taking his hand back from her. "I don't need your help right now."

MJ nodded, knowing where his head is right now. "Everyone needs help, Peter." She says as she got up and grabbed her bag. "Even Spider-Man."

That caused Peter to do a double-take, wondering if that was some statement meant to be aimed directly at him. There was no way that she knows he was Spider-Man.

Right?

Later on, after a few hours of trying to help Barry get his powers back, Caitlin found Barry leaning against the side of the case where his suit was. He turned when she walked up, and she gave him a little smile.

"Do you think I'll ever wear it again?" Barry asked her.

"I hope so," Caitlin replies, standing next to him.

Barry finally turned away from his suit, and all the pain that seeing it probably brought. "I didn't have my speed for very long." He said as he looked over at the emblem on his suit's chest. "But now that it's gone, it feels like... part of me is gone, too."

Caitlin sighed and reached out to rub his arm. "With or without your speed, you're still you, Barry."

He nodded, but then shook his head. "But I'm not. I'm not the best version of myself. I love being the Flash." Caitlin smiled gently at him, encouraging him to continue. Barry breathed out what could have been mistaken as a laugh. "I love everything about it. The feeling of running hundreds of miles an hour. Wind and power just rushing past my face. Being able to help people... I'm not sure I can live without it, Caitlin."

Caitlin stepped forward. Her heart was pounding in her ears, but she reached up and gently interlaced her fingers behind Barry's neck.

She was about to kiss him when a certain someone interrupted them. "Farooq Gibran."

Cisco strode into the cortex, focusing completely on his tablet, and Caitlin yanked her hands from around Barry's neck. She crossed, then uncrossed her arms, before finally clasping her hands in front of her.

"Who?" Barry mumbled, still staring at Caitlin.

"The powers vampire that jacked your speed," Cisco told him and showed the tablet. "I hacked into the security footage from the Petersburg Substation.

"He was hit by the Particle Accelerator when he was climbing an electric tower." Barry noticed as he looked over the notes.

"No surprise where his powers came from." Caitlin frowned.

A beeping surprised all three of them. Running over to the systems, Cisco pulled up the security footage and saw he was right outside their labs.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me." Cisco gasped in shock. "It's this is not happening. You have got to be kidding me."

They ran towards the camera feed that was pointed outside of STAR Labs. Farooq's face was pale, and his skin was blackened around his eyes, which were an unearthly blue. It actually reminded them a bit of Electro, when he came in and attacked the labs.

"Dr. Wells! I need to talk to you! Come on, I know your inside, open the door!"

Caitlin turned to Barry, her eyes wide with fear. He couldn't protect them. Not without his speed.

"I just want to talk, Wells. Wells!" Farooq exploded. "Let me in!"

He stuck out his right hand and blasted a power circuit box with electricity. Then he yanked out two think wires, letting electricity flow through them. The lights in STAR Labs began to flicker. Farooq was draining all the city's energy.

Farooq let go of the wires, and STAR Labs was plunged into darkness as the entire building started to shake. The trio in front of the computers could see nothing of what was going on with the power out.

Barry exchanged wide-eyed glances with his friends. "He's inside."

Peter was back in his suit, searching the city for Flint Marko. But as he started to look around for him, the conversation with MJ kept going on in his head.

"Do something you might regret."

"Everyone needs help, even Spider-Man."

Was he capable of finding this man, and killing him? His head is telling him yes. To rip his head off and toss it into the water.

But his heart is telling a different story. His heart is saying how Ben wouldn't like him taking a life in name of his own. How he doesn't have it in him to take a life. Even when it came to someone like the Green Goblin, he didn't have it in him to kill that monster.

"He doesn't have the heart to kill, but he has the mindset. That's dangerous on its own." The Watcher commented, eyeing the hero from afar. "But is he capable of taking a life?"

As Peter was looking for Flint, the radio in his mask went off. "10-23, we have reports of a sandstorm in the downtown district. Bank robbery in progress."

Peter rested fast, knowing exactly where that was, and saw he was in the vicinity. "Marko."

His mind filled with anger and hatred, he leaped off the building, making his way over to the bank. Swinging through the city, he made it to the bank to see the doors blown off their hinges, as well as the safe.

Seems that he didn't take your chances this time and took everything he could carry with him. Peter then looked around to see where he was when he heard something that sounded like sand sizzling.

Looking down to where the sand was going, he saw it was heading down into the sewers. Reaching down, he ripped the drain off and leaped down, shooting a web to put it back.

Back inside STAR Labs, they were all in the Cortex, hiding from Farooq while trying to figure out how to get Barry's powers back. Their hope of survival was becoming bleak, with no sign of escape.

"The treadmill." Cisco called out his idea as Dr. Wells looked up. "My baby can take the charge."

"What if Barry can't?" Caitlin asked him, her heart pounding at the thought of what could happen.

"Well, that's up to Mr. Allen," Wells said, sounding too calm for anyone's liking.

Barry turned and began to stride quickly towards the door.

Caitlin quickly stopped and asked him, "Where are you going?"

Barry then stopped as he turned to face them. "I'm gonna talk to him."

"No." Wells immediately denied his request.

"He may just need help," Barry defended his decision. "Like I did. I don't need my powers to offer him that."

Caitlin was suddenly overwhelmed by the rush of affection she had for the man in front of her. Even without his powers, he was still the most wonderful and heroic person she knew.

"I have to try," Barry told her, seeing there was no other way.

Then with that, he walked out of the room and left them to question what to do.

Down deep in the sewers, Flint was making his way through the subway lines. It's amazing the escape routes that one can take without the fear of getting hit. He was carrying a bag of money in two bags he kept going, he felt like he was being followed and wondered who would be stupid enough to follow him.

The stupid person in question would be nonother than Peter, who was using the shadows to crawl his way over to Flint. When he turned around to look for the figure, Peter crawled over through the shadows and got in front of him. Lowering down on a web.

When Flint turned around, he came face to face with Peter, who eyed the man in anger. "Flint Marko."

Flint then turned his fist into a hammer again, going in for a punch, but Peter learned from his mistakes. He dropped the web, dodging the swing, whilst also leaping onto the ceiling. The room was starting to get lightened up by the train that was coming past.

"What the hell do you want from me?" Flint asks him, getting annoyed by this man.

"Remember Ben Parker?" Peter asks, wondering if this man even knew his name. Flint's face immediately changed from angry to a look of shock and horror. "The man that you shot down in cold blood?!"

Flint then shook it off and looked annoyed. "What does that matter to you anyway?"

Peter then leaped on the opposite side of the way as the train came past. "Everything!" His voice was loud enough to be heard over the noise of the train, and it even echoed through the tunnel.

Shooting out two web strands, he hits the train. The shooing caused Flint to flinch as he saw him hit the train. Looking over to where he shot them, he missed Peter using the momentum to come in and kick Flint. This then sent them flying down the tunnel and went flying after the train took a turn.

For the two of them, it meant a bigger area to fight in as Flint ended up dropping the bags of money. Peter came swinging back in, ready to take him down. But his momentum was cut off when Flint enlarged his leg to kick Peter before he came too close.

Sandman then kicked Peter, sending him flying into the tracks as a train approached. But Peter was fast enough to leap off the tracks, miss the train, then leap around the train, then swing over and kick Flint into the train.

Barry walked through the halls until he found Varook. "Whoa! Easy! I'm not gonna hurt you," Barry assured as the meta puts his hands up and summons lightning.

"You can't hurt me. Where is Harrison Wells?" Varook asks him.

"Look, I know what happened to you. That night, it changed you. It changed me too." Barry tells him and he calms down.

"You were the one in the red suit. Spider-Man's been around longer than the accelerator, so I fed on your energy." Varook says, putting pieces together. "I have to keep feeding."

"All right, I know this has to be terrifying. That's why I want to help you, okay?" Barry tries reasoning with him.

"The night of the explosion, when the light hit me, it stopped my heart," Varook informed Barry. "Jake and Darya, I woke up, and they were beside me, dead. They tried to give me CPR. They touched me and I electrocuted them."

"This is not your fault." Barry tried to help him.

"You're right." Varook agreed with him on that. "Wells did this to me."

"Varook, you need to listen to me," Barry tells him.

But he doesn't listen and blasts Barry down the hall where everyone else is. Caitlin helps him up and Cisco closes the doors, blocking him.

"Caitlin, get him to the treadmill," Wells says as he has an idea of how to buy them time. "Cisco, get the generator online. Make sure Barry gets the charge."

"What? I'm not leaving you." Cisco tells him as Caitlin takes Barry out of the room.

"Listen, out of everything I've done in my life, of everything I have invented, the most important creation is the Flash. Barry Allen must have a future. Now go!" Wells tells Cisco and he does as he says.

Caitlin helped Barry to sit down, looking at him with the most concerned expression that he had ever seen. "I'm not healing fast anymore." He noticed. Caitlin shook her head. "That's unfortunate."

"Don't worry," Caitlin assured him, though she was mostly trying to convince herself. She ran over to plug in the treadmill. "When Dr. Wells has a theory, he's usually right."

"What if something happens to Joe and Iris first?" Barry asked. Caitlin felt a twinge of guilt. In all that had happened, she had forgotten that Joe and Iris were being held hostage by the Clock King.

Before she could respond, there was the sound of footsteps outside the door. She and Barry both froze. Before she could register what had happened, Barry rushed to his feet and pulled her over to the wall directly under the window. They could still hear the sounds of electricity pulsing from Farooq's hands.

Caitlin was shaking uncontrollably, pressed up to Barry's side. He grabbed her hand and squeezed hard. After what seemed like an eternity, but was probably only a few tense seconds, Farooq moved on.

Releasing the breath she hadn't quite realized she was holding, Caitlin and Barry stood up and strode as quietly as they could out of the room. Barry immediately got unto the treadmill.

"Turn on the treadmill." He ordered.

"No, Barry you're still hurt!" Caitlin cried.

"We don't have time." He yelled. It was the first time he had yelled at her, and it jarred her to the core. He was just as scared as she was.

But still, she hesitated in front of the switch. "Caitlin!" He bellowed.

"I can't." She whimpered. What if he didn't make it? What would they do then? What would she do?

"We don't have a choice."

"If I turn this on it could kill you." Caitlin felt tears starting to burn in her eyes.

Barry's gaze softened. "If you don't we could all die."

"I already lost someone I cared about in this building. I can't do it again." Ronnie. She had lost her fiancé and that still hurt. If she lost Barry, too...

Barry's chin sagged onto his chest. When he looked up his eyes were caring, but determined. "Someone once told me I was chosen by that lighting for a reason. That it chose me. I'm not sure I believe it. Right now, it doesn't matter what I believe." He turned again and gripped the treadmill. "What do you believe?"

In seconds she was making her way over to him, gripping his shirt the moment she got close and kissed him like there was no tomorrow. Fireworks exploded behind her mind and across her entire body. Caitlin felt so much passion in the kiss, so much emotion coursing through her bloodstream that she felt as though she would burst.

Barry pulled away first, panting, but with a new light in his eyes. Caitlin nodded and made her way back over to yank the power switch. Electricity coursed into the treadmill and up Barry's arms. He jerked and yelled, and finally ripped himself off of the machine just seconds afterward.

Caitlin watched as Barry flew across the room and landed with a thud against the wall. She raced over to him, kneeling next to his shifting form. "Are you ok?" She realized that she wasn't just asking about him getting his speed back. "Did you feel anything?"

Barry held a hand in front of his face. It vibrated for a second, but then it was over as soon as it started. "It didn't work."

Caitlin's stomach dropped. Then the sound of bending metal made them both jump. Caitlin extended a hand to help Barry up, and they walked towards the noise.

The sudden attack took Flint by surprise as Peter grabbed him by the back and slammed him into the train. Flint cried in pain as half of his face was literally sandpapered off. Once the train was gone, Flint dropped to the ground, where his sand face was made into a pile.

"It's time to pay, Marko!" Peter declared when he watched as Flint fixed himself and head-butted Peter.

That sent Peter into a train and smacking into another going in the other direction. When he went back into Flint's grasp, he smacked Peter with another hammer.

"That hammer gimmick is old!" Peter cried, rolling back and kicking Flint, taking a whole chunk of his cheek. Then he rammed into a part of the train.

Flint then fell off the tracks and fell into a puddle of water. When Peter watched him reach out to grab the money, he saw that his body was starting to corrode, due to the water.

He saw he finally got his chance to take his vengeance as he swung down and grabbed Flint. Seemed due to his muddy odd, he couldn't transform anymore, and he finally had his chance.

Peter grabbed him by the shirt and yanked him up. You took the life of a good man. A man who had a family." He informed the monster, punching him in the face. "And you did it all for his lousy car!"

When they got around the corner, there, of all people, was Girder. He came hurtling into the room, thrown by a bolt of energy.

"Tony." Barry knelt beside his childhood bully. "Tony, man, what are you doing?"

Tony groaned out an explanation that Caitlin couldn't understand. Then he closed his eyes. He would never open them again. Caitlin noticed Farooq, coming slowly around the corner.

"Oh, Barry!" Caitlin grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the way, a second before another bold of electricity landed just where they had been standing.

Caitlin dragged Barry down the hall, with one of his arms draped over her shoulders. They found Cisco and Dr. Wells in an empty room.

"You're winded. That's not good." Cisco commented nervously.

Caitlin ignored him, rolling up Barry's sleeve. "I need to take your blood to figure out what happened."

Barry, still panting, rubbed his face. "I- I just can't believe he's dead."

Cisco looked shocked. "Dr. Wells is dead?!"

"No, no." Barry shook his head as Caitlin found his vein and stabbed it with a need. "Tony Woodland."

"He escaped from the pipeline," Caitlin told Cisco.

"He must have gotten out when the blackout happened." Barry continued.

"I let him out." All three of them whipped around. Dr. Harrison Wells wheeled slowly around the corner, face drawn, but without any sign of guilt. "He was our best bet at distracting Farooq."

Barry exploded at him. "You let him out so he would die for us? How could you do that? He might be a bad guy, but he doesn't deserve to die!"

"I did what I thought was best," Harrison told him calmly. "Did the treadmill work?"

"Obviously not." Caitlin snapped.

"My powers are still gone! And this Farooq guy is going to kill us all. Then Iris and Joe are going to die because the Flash won't be able to save them." Barry buried his face in his hands.

"I think I've figured it out," Cisco stated. Everyone's attention shifted to him. "I think what you have right now Barry, is a textbook case of the yips. The only thing stopping you from getting your speed back... is you."

Caitlin walked up to Barry. "Look. You asked if I thought you were struck by lightning for a reason. If you were chosen. I believe. You should too."

At that moment Barry wanted to kiss her again, to make everything else disappear, and just hold her in his arms. But Cisco and Wells were standing right there, and Farooq was still inside the building. So, he only nodded.

"Right now, however." Wells cut in, "I think our best plan is to escape and lock Farooq inside STAR Labs until Mr. Allen gets his speed back."

And even though none of them wanted to listen to Wells at that moment, it seemed like the best plan.

So that was how Caitlin found herself running over to Barry's groaning form, from where he had been blasted out of his escape van. Caitlin ran to his side.

She helped Barry sit up. "Oh my gosh, are you ok? Did he hit you?"

"I'm fine." Barry groaned. "Guys-"

Farooq raised his arm and Caitlin pressed herself closer to Barry. "Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh, no, please!"

"Hey!" The noise rang out like a gunshot and Farooq turned to face Harrison Wells. "You're here for me."

"Finally, you show your face," Farooq murmured, lowering his arms and turning away from the trio huddled on the floor.

"Well, I wasn't exactly eager to be killed."

"Neither were my friends!"

"I know," Wells admitted. "I hurt a lot of people that night."

"People?!" Farooq yelled in disgust. "You don't even know their names!"

"Jake Davenport." That pulled him up short. "William Kaplan. Clarice Fong. Ralph Dibney. Emma Frost. Patsy Walker. Ilyana Rasputin. Elizabeth Braddock. Thomas Shepard. Al Rostine. Grant Everson. Felicia Hardy. Will Everett. Anna Marie. Thea Decosta. Anjelica Jones." Harrison turned his gaze to Caitlin. "Bobby Drake. Ronnie Raymond."

Caitlin felt down at the reminder of Ronnie. Barry's hand slip into her own and squeezed it for support.

"I know the names of every person who was injured or died that night, and I know they all mattered. And the fact that the world is now deprived of their potential is something that I have to live with every day." Wells glanced at Barry, Caitlin, and Cisco. "But these people...these people have done nothing wrong. You want to punish me? Fine, let's do that. But let these people live."

What followed his speech was one of the tensest pauses that Caitlin had ever experienced. She could hear her blood pounding in her ears, and her entire body was shaking.

"You died that night, too." Farooq finally said and blasted Dr. Wells out of his chair.

"NOO!" Barry screamed, and Caitlin buried her face in his shoulder, so scared she couldn't even cry out.

"You just didn't know it 'till today." Farooq took another step towards Wells.

It was at that moment that Barry felt an electric tingle shoot through his body. Before anyone could register what was happened, Barry was in his Flash suit and dragging Wells away from the blast from Farooq's hands.

Caitlin blinked as Harrison appeared beside them. Barry whizzed off again and stopped in front of Farooq, who was looking around in confusion. He dodged the first few shots, but was finally caught was Farooq's electricity. Caitlin held her breath as Barry yelled in pain.

Farooq poured all of his electrical power into Barry, but then the lightning began to turn yellow. Both of them fell to their knees. But then the lightning stopped, and Farooq fell to the ground, dead.

It was over.

Back in the subway, Peter was still punching Flint, his face turning into mud, and did it just a few more times. But then he stopped when he looked and saw the shock and horror on his face. Looking at the mud on his hand, he started to realize what he was doing.

"I should finish you!" Peter proclaimed, knowing that he should destroy Flint. "Take away from you what you took from Ben Parker!"

Flint then closed his eyes, waiting for something to happen to him. It was like he knew what was coming and that he deserved it. But he didn't see the look of pain on Peter's face as he did the right thing.

"But my uncle taught me better than that." Peter proclaimed, punching Flint to knock him out.

Even though the idea made Peter sick, it was the right thing to do. This was something he should have done in the beginning. Something that he couldn't see due to the blinding rage inside of him.

The Watcher was happy to watch as Peter didn't have it in him to take the life of Flint. "Anger. Hate. Aggression. Many heroes have fallen plague to these emotions. Even some Spider-Men across the multiverse." Peter then webbed up Flint in a net and took him away. "But I'm happy to see this Spider-Man stayed true to his roots. A hero that protects, never one that kills."

Cisco, Caitlin, Harrison, and Barry were all in the Particle Accelerator.

"Why did he just siphon all my power again?" Barry asked.

Caitlin smiled, knowing that he was going to, and having a very good answer to give him.

"Because," Caitlin took the tablet from Cisco, "You finally stopped thinking about your powers and just connected with them." Barry didn't seem to understand, so she showed him the screen. "Look. This is a sample of your blood from just after you were struck by lightning. Now, your cells are generating more energy than ever before. It was more energy than the meta could safely handle. It was almost like he choked on you."

"What does that mean?" Cisco asked.

"That means you kicked it up a notch," Wells told Barry with a smile.

Barry started to grin. Wells and Cisco walked out of the Particle Accelerator, leaving Caitlin and Barry alone.

Caitlin smiled at him and was happy for him. "See? You still saved the day."

He laughed. "And I got the girl, too."

Caitlin bit her lip, happiness washing over her. She was his girl now. Barry leaned down and gently kissed her. There was less passion in this kiss, but just as much emotion. She gently pulled away.

"Yes. Yes, you did." Caitlin confirmed.

After everything finally calmed down, Peter was sitting outside of Joe's place. He wanted to talk with Barry, who immediately sped over and stopped when he saw him. After visiting Joe in the hospital, he heard how Sandman was brought in by Spider-Man and was happy how his brother

"So, I heard I wasn't the only one with an eventful night," Barry commented as he walked over to him. "Flint Marko was dropped off at the station. Alive."

Peter scoffed, as he should have known Barry was gonna rub that in his face. "Yeah, I learned my lesson." He smiled as he thought back to what his friends have reminded him of. "Spider-Man doesn't kill."

Barry sighed and walked over to sit next to his brother. "Must've been difficult."

"Actually...it was harder to try and hurt him," Peter admitted, getting a confused and odd look from Barry. "When I finally had him weak...I only had enough in me to knock him out." He then started to tear up, remembering what he thought. "I heard his voice in my head. Reminding me that with great power, must also come great responsibility. If I killed him...if I did it in his name...I would never have forgiven myself."

Barry nodded, seeing he made the right choice, and pulled Peter over for a brotherly hug. "I never got to meet your uncle, but I know he'd be proud of you."

"Thanks. That helps." Peter admitted.

"The trials of a hero are hard and exhausting." The Watcher said as he watched the siblings embrace. "But it's the people that the hero keeps close that helps them. Keeps them on the right track. Who they look up to. Who they see as a good friend. A brother."

As he kept watching, Peter strolled home where he found MJ was shooting baskets. When she missed once, it sent the ball flying in Peter's direction as he caught it.

"Hey, MJ." Peter greeted her as he walked over to her. "Mind if I shoot some hoops? Seems there's a blackout."

"Yeah, just doing something to pass the time," MJ admitted, allowing Peter to make a shot.

But still trying to keep his identity safe, even though he could easily make the shot, he threw the ball and it smacked the wall.

"Good thing science is your thing," MJ commented, picking up the ball. "Because you suck at sports." She then walked over and pecked his cheek. "And that's the way I like you."

"Thanks?" Peter guessed that was a compliment and an insult at once. "You're both mean and nice when you talk to me, it's confusing."

"What can I say? I like watching a genius get confused." MJ admitted, making another shot. "So...how'd it go with the Sandman?"

"What?" Peter asked, and MJ showed the last thing she saw before the blackout. Looking on her phone, it was the blog Iris made about the Flash and Spider-Man, showing Sandman attacking the bank. "Oh."

"Yeah, and I figured you were gonna be there," MJ admitted. "So?"

"Well, Spider-Man took care of him," Peter said, leaning on the gate. "He's on his way to a cell for his crimes."

"That's good to hear." MJ sighed as she put the ball down.

"And your advice really helped me see through my anger," Peter admitted this time him going in to peck her cheek. "So, thanks for that."

"What are friends for, Tiger?" MJ told him, happy to have been able to help.

As they talked, the lights and power in the city started to come back up. "Huh. Look at that."

"Seems like we had a spark." MJ tried to make a joke, getting Peter to laugh.

"That was terrible," Peter informed her.

MJ then shrugged and picked the ball up. "See you later."

"Bye," Peter said.

With that, MJ made her way inside and Peter stopped to look at MJ as she vanished into her house. He couldn't help but smile every time he thought of her. Even though everything that she's been through, she's been so helpful and upbeat. Sure, she revealed that when she gets...goofy, it was to hide her true self.

But with him...it was like both of them could just be themselves.

(A/N)Yes, the episode with Tony did happen, I just felt it'd be better to jump ahead of that one so Barry would lose his speed while Peter took care of Sandman.
